INCHIES DAY: Thursday 7th October 2021

♥ Trio Of TFZs 'In Bliss! ♥

Last Night

And they still can't supply anything like a reliable internet service to Sherwood, in Nottingham?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

THURSDAY 7th OCTOBER 2021

06:05hrs: I stirred after a good five hours of kip. After a few minutes gathering my thoughts, plan-making, sorting out how to get to vote and back... I forgot everything that had just been arranged in my already puzzled with confusion, brain.

As a mad scramble out of the £300, second-hand, decrepit, c1968, rickety recliner, and a brave but risky lunge for the  NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket) for a wee-wee! Again as yesterday, it was a weak affair that had more than enough   PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling), probably more than the initial wee!

Accifauxpas

The cost of this bucket visit was a stubbed toe, wee-weeing on the PP's, and dribbling on the pyjama bottoms! Treading painfully on pencil and breaking it. (That made me jump!) And much time lost cleaning up the mess afterwards. Humph!

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ablutionalisationing

A lot too many dropsies this morning (at least ten!). No shower, too early. A couple of minor nicks shaving.

ACCIFAUXPA

On being down to retrieve the towel, the back twinged, that unfortunately, set of Back-Pain-Brenda!

Porcelain Throne Needed

All painless and bloodless! I did drop the toilet roll twice, but luck was with me, and it missed going into the bowl and water both times! Yee-Ha!

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Made A (Much-Needed) Brew

A mug of Glengettie Gold tea, that was very welcome; it calmed me down a smidge after the wet room farce!

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Health Checks Tended to.

Still out of the Red Zone Proper!

Oh, I put the wrong number in - Tsk!

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Blogging

Back-Pain-Brenda was giving me some unwanted electric-like stabbing pains. I see how it goes; I may have to take a Co-Codamol later on if Brenda doesn't ease off a bit. The mornings' Codeine might be enough to bring her under control - or not! Set up this template.

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Kitchen Window

Can't remember taking this, but it was on the SD card, so...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Window Joe Arrived

Naturally, I was expecting him... well, no, I wasn't, I'd forgotten all about him coming... Guilt Mode Assumed!

A jolly good chinwag session was enjoyed, on many subjects, too! He doesn't mess about once he starts doing the windows first. Then the nattering started.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back To Blogging

An hour or two, then I had to go on CorelDraw to make more graphics; I've none ready done at all now.

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

CorelDrawing

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Nosh

I entered the building, and two young ladies sat at the desk, looking terribly bored they were. I got the shakes as I started to stutter and chat with them; Tsk! Cast my vote and put it in the box, and handed the girls some nibbles. Which I do every time I vote.

Found the photo of last nights nosh!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Off To Vote Now

Body and mind permitting!

A quick 40-minute fart about to make sure I'd got everything needed. Including bus pass, if required, camera, voting papers, bag for Aldi shopping after the voting, and trying to make sure that everything was turned off that was needed to be, no taps running - forced a wee-wee, not that it needed much. Waste bags to the chute en route, and off I  carefully hobbled.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Rescued by Joe!

I was going out of the ground floor lobby, and Window Man Joe came from behind. A gentleman indeed; He offered to give me a lift up to the Voting Station!

Hehe! He'll never know how much I appreciated his gesture. I thanked him and wanted to kiss him, but I thought it would be best I didn't. This meant him having to get the walker-guide in the back of his van. Bless him!

Joe dropped me off in the Aldi car park, right next to the Polling Station. Thank Joe again. I hobbled to get the voting done... Back-Pain Brenda and Arthur Itis making sure that hobbling was not an easy task to do.

This photo should have been of the nasty Herbert on an Escooter. But he was going that quick; I missed him altogether! Who came from behind me as I approached the temporary voting building.

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Voting

At first, one said we cannot accept this... I put on the trembling bottom lip and told them that I always do this every vote. Explaining that they usually come to the flats for voting, but with the Covid, it's been moved up here now. They gave each other searching for a decision looks and accepted the carrier. Nice!

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Into Aldi

I found some citrus air sprays and bought 4 of them; I love the scent of these.

Some lemon yoghourts. Laundry liquid, cream doughnuts (Ahem!), and strawberries are a treat for the Winwood flats wardens.

Whoopsiedangleplop

As I was paying, I dropped the bag and got in a pickle, but sorted it, and the chap was patient with me as I got things sorted out - something that would never have happened had it took place in a Lidl!

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Homeward Bound

I trudged along Woodborough Road to the junction with Mapperley Rise. Aptly named because it is one of the steepest roads in Nottingham.

I turned right down the hill, and I took two photographs of the view?

Probably due to Nicodemus' neurotransmitters failing?

I descended down to the Rise, slowly, carefully and nervously.

It was a little scary at times, getting through the spaces left by the Pavement-Parked vehicles.

I had to stop a few times to catch my breath, which would never have been needed a few months ago - Ah, well!

After what seemed hours, I got down to Chestnut Walk, seeing the Winwood complex, and the thought of getting a sat down and a mug of Glengettie seemed very appealing to me at that time!

In The Winwood Lobby!

Dropped the Straws off for Deana. And on through link passage, with stinging feet, Backpain Brenda and now they were joined by Anne Gyna! This is when the Co-Codamol come in handy.

The end door was still in the same condition, but notices informed us why the work was being done.

Through the doorway and into the lift, I hobbled, slower than ever now, and feeling a smidge weary.

Unfortunately, someone had left the pulldown seat out in the lift cage. Muggings here had not noticed it, and the sudden stop propelled the trolley handlebar right into my groin area!

Hence the pose as I took a selfie in the elevator cage on the way up. Hehe!

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back In The Flat

I was not in a good state now. Struggling to get things together over what needed doing... but it soon became clear to me that a wee-wee, food and sleep, in that order, were the top needs at this moment in time. Nowt else mattered!

Wearily, I wee-weed a gallon or so being evacuated (Haha!) Got a quick meal made up and still managed to enjoy it, even though I was battling to keep awake.

Ate it all up! And fell asleep with the tray still on my belly!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Carer Woke Me Up

I fear I cannot recall for sure who it was, who called, or what happened. I was in a sleepy fog and haze. Thinking back, it might have been Elena, I think, but then again, how I felt at the time... no, I think it was. Although I vaguely recall walking to the door with the carer as she left... I think, anyway.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Head Down Again!

I may have had a wee-wee, and I know I got my head down, uninterested in anything but rest now. Which can be dangerous cause U don't think I had the usual check-around before nodding off?

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Woke Up Around 00:30hrs

I made this graphic on CorelDraw.

It shows how much benefit I gleaned from Window-Man-Joe and his helping me with a lift up to vote.

INCHIES DAY: Wednesday 6th October 2021

♥ TFZer POOL CAR - I love it! ♥

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

WEDNESDAY 6th OCTOBER 2021

05:10hrs: I woke with Thought Storms still floating about, but not necessarily bad ones this time. More things to consider; the J Sainsbury order is coming, the City Council election tomorrow, how do I get there? Which all faded as the need for a wee-wee arose, needing an urgent response if I was to get to the nocturnal grey bucket in time!

I barely made it! The bladder was telling me to anticipate a hose-pipe-like rush of liquid... But a pathetic, painful trickle was all I could manage - but they were persistent throughout the day.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Computerisationing

Wash, cleaned and sanitised the bucket, making sure to replace it near the computer for convenient access. I was well-pleased with the hobbling and state of the feet this morning, much betterer! Even though the swelling was at last almost gone, the pale, sallow, blanched colour of them as a bit of a shock to me, they are usually more coloured on waking up, and lose it during the day? Blimus, I hope not!

Then got on with photo input and updating yesterday's blog.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Updating Was A Long Slog

Although I did feel somewhat better physically this morning, and very few of the ailments were bothering me, my concentration was kaputt! There were so many! Grammarly came back online later; oh, you should have seen it, 166 grammar and  14 spelling mistakes to correct! Humph! So many errors were made, missed and found later... but I bet I still missed some of them.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Mug Of Thompsons Punjana

Kitchen window view. Looks almost incredible to me!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Template Working

As I started on the template creation (better late than never?) I realised it was gone eight o'clock and no Carer had called yet this morning? Did a bit of work on it, and the urge for another cuppa came over me. S I went to make a Glengettie.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morning Carer Arrived

Came in without ringing the buzzer, and I nearly dropped the mug as she went into the kitchen. Hahaha!

It was Caroline, who got the medications sorted, and we had a natter. Thanked her, and she took two waste bags to the chute on my behalf, Bless her. ♥

Replying To An Email Via Lisa

And guess what happened...

Liberty-Global Went Down Again!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -.

Well-Miffed Now!

So, I did some Corel Drawing. I got one graphic done, which took me about half an hour, then the internet came back on. Yes, it can happen sometimes! By now, I wasn't sure what I'd done, not done or was needed to be done, and felt done-in, mentally!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

An Email From Morrisons!

I think I ended up paying more than they initially charged before knowing of all the unavailable & substitute stuff?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Food Arrived!

The driver soon got the stuff in my box and bags for me, put them through the door as well, bless him. Thanked him, offered a thank you can of plonk or non-alcoholic, but he said no thanks.

Got the bags and box in the kitchen without much bother. (Smug Mode)

Got the fridge filled up, too full, mayhaps?

The biscuit bin is now filled!

Same with the potato box...

The concealed and well-hidden away from the nurse's naughty nibbles bin was really full now. Guilt-Mode!

The cleaning cupboard was stocked. The £1, 420ml Apple Orchard washing up liquid, substituted for the 50p 500ml Lemon one, spilt out as I put it on the shelf... I did larf! Cragnangles!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Concentrated On Facebook

It was not easy, they have changed some actions again! So when You want to put the photos in a gallery, the whole gallery appears, which takes ages to scroll through. To get to make the last picture, just put it on the album as a header... Humph! Spent a few hours catching up.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back On CorelDraw

More Graphics are needed.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Renamed The Page Tabs

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Good Heavens - Fatigued!

No idea whats caused it, but I instantly felt drained, heavy eye lidded, weak almost?

Time for a sit-down and mug of Thompsons Punjana tea, methinks. Oh, dear!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Almost Collapsed in The Recliner

Into what seemed a deep sleep in minutes, yet the wild dreams started. I still seemed to feel so much better when I woke, after maybe two hours of kipping and hunger, pangs panged! Haha!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

A Much Waited For Treat!

I sliced some boiled potatoes and put the last of Peruvian pean on top of the ready meal - oh, and added a little black bean sauce to the mix halfway through the cooking time in the microwave. Bootiful! It tasted even better than the beef in black bean sauce last week.

Taste Rating: 8.9/10!

Not up to Sister Jane's risotto, but the closest I've ever had to it.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Decided To Do The Ablutions

Disaster - Plans Ruined

I put the shirt I had been wearing in the sink; to leave it to soak while I did the ablutioning. Crap! The hot water was cold!

I rushed into the kitchenette, and sure enough, I'd left the hot water tap running!

My self-esteem sank, and self-hatred grew! What a pillock!

I'd put the shirt and liquid soap in the wet room sink. So, got it in a bucket and transferred it to the kitchen sink, and I did a cold wash and hanging messy, floor splashing session on it. Grrr!

Of course, this put an end to my getting the ablutions done tonight. Why do I bother! I'd hoped to get them done to save time in the morning so that I could get out to vote good and early... Grobbleackers!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

He's been giving it some bashing today!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening CArer Arrived

I was making a mug of tea to celebrate getting the kitchen cleaned up and try to forget my stupidity in leaving the tap running... Yet Again!

'Twas Valerie. Not seen her for a while. She came in without pressing the door chime, a good job that I wasn't taking a wee-wee at the time. Haha!

Valerie got the medications sorted out and was soon off on her rounds. She took the bag of waste to the chute for me on her way out, bless her♥.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

09:25hrs, Still at it!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got on with updating this blog

It took a few hours, but I got there in the end. Posted it of and tried to go on Facebooking, but the connection seemed to be bad for some reason.

Inchies Day: Tuesday 5th October 2021

♥ TFZers In Paradise! ♥

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

TUESDAY 5th OCTOBER 2021

Morning!

03:00hrs: I rose wearily from the £300, second-hand, c1968, horrendously grungy coloured, eyesore of a haemorrhoid-testing, unfit-for-use, recliner. My mind was so confused, I had to work out what day it was and remember why I had to get up so early... there was a reason, I'm sure.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Wee-wee demanded

I think this one was the most reluctant to start flowing that I've had for years now. I ended the build-up and half-expected a torrential torrent to blast out.

But no! It dibbled unbelievably painfully and slowly, sprinkling away for several minutes of abject agony. Yet, still, there was a fair amount of PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling), which puzzled me a bit. Not that it mattered as I woke up woolly-headed and disorientated anyway.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

No going around in circles!

For the last three or four days, I've woken up in different frames of mind each day. The constant has been my meandering around starting jobs, jumping to another, then returning to the first task, off on another self-imposed mission... eventually not knowing what the hell I had been doing in the first place. But this morning, I made a brew and got on the computer to do the blog that Liberty-Global CEO Mike Fries, Virgin Media Internet that kept going down, ensured that I couldn't and had to give up trying. The Git!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Monday Blog Updated

It took me nearly four hours to get it all done and posted off to Blogger.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Facebooking... I thought!

But, Oh, no. Liberty-Global CEO Mike Fries made sure of that again, as...

Morning Carer Arrived

It was Sobia today. A Princess-like looking tall slim gal, the one who I think is a student, doing the caring part-time. She soon got the medications sorted and spared a couple of minutes for a natter. As she left, I thought she would take the waste bags to the chute for me, but the gal fooled me and didn't. Hahaha!

I meandered off the plan again. And washed the shirt from yesterday instead; I'm not sure why. I hung it in the wet room.

Then washed the dressing gown.

Nodded Off!

Woken up by Carer Julia

Soon got my medications sorted, and we had a jolly decent chinwagging session. Julia took two bags to the chute as she departed. Memory was a smidge vague on what we spoke about.
