FRIDAY 8th OCTOBER 2021

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Hibernation Over

00:30hrs: Woke with a jump but felt much betterer than earlier on.

Whoopsiedangleplop!

Like a new man, I almost shot out of the recliner and took a wee-wee. With a much-increased force, this was also more energetic like what I was feeling and torrented into the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket). So much so, I got hit with some splash-back and had to tend to the cleaning up.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Whoopsiedangleplop!

Off to the kitchenette to put the kettle on for a brew of Glengettie. I espied that I had left the potatoes cooking for hours and hours, perhaps ten, I reckon, in the crock-pot! Burnt my finger taking the lid off, Haha! Washed up everything and got some more freshly cooking.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Whoopsiedangleplop!

Went to pull the crock-pot away from the teabag pots, and I foolishly pulled the slow-cooker by the option knob - it came of in my hand!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Photo Of The Morning View

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Up a smidge again!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Computeristioning

Updated yesterday's blog and got it published to Blogger. Emailed the link. Went on Facebooking.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Time For Another Brew

Thompsons Punjana this time, and very lovely and tasty it was. Took another photo from the Kitchen window.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Is He Even Aware?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Shirt Washed

No net, so I got the shirt washed.

It looked multi-coloured, doesn't it? That's because of where I spilt the bleach on it last month when I got the darned Peripheral Neuropathy shakes. Tsk! Around the collar.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Computing Again

But not for long - Morning Carer arrived.

It was a new gal, a pretty little thing, named Maryam Attahiru. She got the medications sorted, and we had a little nattering session. But she didn't take the bags to the cute for me. So, I took them after she'd gone. A nice lass!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Started On Template

Got it set up, and I began to do this post, at long last.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Of To Get The Leeks Done

I got the leeks prepped to go in with the potatoes in the slow cooker. I managed to stab my finger doing them.

Accifauxpas

seasoned them and into the pot.

Bacon Done to Add to the beans!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Social Services Rang

Lady asked, seeking questions about how I live, what I can and can't do etc. Many inquiries were made and answered.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got The Main Nosh Sorted

I hope it will taste alright with Bacon & Beans, with a beefburger and leeks - black bean sauce added. Here goes...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Meaty Dish

Looked good, smelt fine, took an age to make, and to clean up the mess after cooking it - and it tasted flipping awful! Eurgh! 3/10! Stomach ache later!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Fell Asleep

But woke after an hour or so, with pangs in the tummy and a headache?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Carer Arrived

It was Helen. She looked all in, bless her. Done a long shift. I tried to cheer her up a bit. Showed her the nighttime view from the balcony. Took her photo while she was taking in the vista.

Helen had not been on a balcony in the flats before, and she was impressed with the view. We identified different areas, The Victoria flats, Trent University, City Hospital etc., and I was glad she's cheered up somewhat.

She said she was on holiday for two weeks and would see me when she returned. Gave her a can of her choice and some nibbles as she departed. Helen did not take the waste bags to the chute on the way out. So I did when she'd gone, still looking tired-out, but definitely cheerier, which was brilliant!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Updated this blog

Another long job, but with my mini-success in cheering Helen up, I'd boosted my own frame of mind. Hehehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Unbelievable, so late in the day!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got the blog checked

Finding more mistakes to correct than things I'd done right! Tsk!

.The editing took over an hour! Then Blogger kept changing my formatting after I'd sorted it? Knagwangles!

I must find time to get back into WP working on the none-block form.

Posted to Blogger

Emailed the link and went on Facebook. Made the Ode below.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I woke, feeling happier, about humanity,

Although it was twinged with subjectivity,

The wee-wee for once showed no resistivity,

In fact, there was great productivity,

Which promised a certain positivity,

Helped me reduce my recent negativity!

- - - - - - - - -

Liberty-Global went down, as I thought it might,

Experiences told me, no need for foresight,

So, this blog I could no longer expedite,

Virgin down four times since midnight,

My anger and hatred this did incite,

Fries, the Liberty-Global CEO, I wanted to fight!

Incapable con-man and overpaid troglodyte!.

Jealousy, revenge? You're damned-well right!

- - - - - - - - -

At times I felt like Tweedle Dum and Dee,

The usual happenings, mostly unlucky,

Nosh was horrible, my worst ever entree!

Morning Carer, a new gal, kind and pretty,

But too young for me, what a pity!

My plans contained very little doability,

Even without my many a disability,

Not to mention my increasing senility!

- - - - - - - - -

At times hopes, I sorely lacked,

Thought I ought to be Prozacked,

But often got so sidetracked...

With Carer Helen, I did interact,

Surprisingly, exhilarating, but a fact,

Out of this day, I did extract...

An odd desire, to be living in Pontefract!

- - - - - - - - -

I cheered up, began to feel fine?

Mayhaps helped by the bottle of wine?

A new lump found underarm, likely benign,

The sun no longer did shine,

I began to feel somewhat saturnine.

Virgin internet again went offline,

All a positive, definite sign...

It's time to take my amitriptyline!

That'll make the brain labyrinthine!

INCHIES DAY: Thursday 7th October 2021

♥ Trio Of TFZs 'In Bliss! ♥

Last Night

And they still can't supply anything like a reliable internet service to Sherwood, in Nottingham?

THURSDAY 7th OCTOBER 2021

06:05hrs: I stirred after a good five hours of kip. After a few minutes gathering my thoughts, plan-making, sorting out how to get to vote and back... I forgot everything that had just been arranged in my already puzzled with confusion, brain.

As a mad scramble out of the £300, second-hand, decrepit, c1968, rickety recliner, and a brave but risky lunge for the  NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket) for a wee-wee! Again as yesterday, it was a weak affair that had more than enough   PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling), probably more than the initial wee!

Accifauxpas

The cost of this bucket visit was a stubbed toe, wee-weeing on the PP's, and dribbling on the pyjama bottoms! Treading painfully on pencil and breaking it. (That made me jump!) And much time lost cleaning up the mess afterwards. Humph!

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ablutionalisationing

A lot too many dropsies this morning (at least ten!). No shower, too early. A couple of minor nicks shaving.

ACCIFAUXPA

On being down to retrieve the towel, the back twinged, that unfortunately, set of Back-Pain-Brenda!

Porcelain Throne Needed

All painless and bloodless! I did drop the toilet roll twice, but luck was with me, and it missed going into the bowl and water both times! Yee-Ha!

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Made A (Much-Needed) Brew

A mug of Glengettie Gold tea, that was very welcome; it calmed me down a smidge after the wet room farce!

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Health Checks Tended to.

Still out of the Red Zone Proper!

Oh, I put the wrong number in - Tsk!

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Blogging

Back-Pain-Brenda was giving me some unwanted electric-like stabbing pains. I see how it goes; I may have to take a Co-Codamol later on if Brenda doesn't ease off a bit. The mornings' Codeine might be enough to bring her under control - or not! Set up this template.

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Kitchen Window

Can't remember taking this, but it was on the SD card, so...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Window Joe Arrived

Naturally, I was expecting him... well, no, I wasn't, I'd forgotten all about him coming... Guilt Mode Assumed!

A jolly good chinwag session was enjoyed, on many subjects, too! He doesn't mess about once he starts doing the windows first. Then the nattering started.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back To Blogging

An hour or two, then I had to go on CorelDraw to make more graphics; I've none ready done at all now.

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

CorelDrawing

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Nosh

I entered the building, and two young ladies sat at the desk, looking terribly bored they were. I got the shakes as I started to stutter and chat with them; Tsk! Cast my vote and put it in the box, and handed the girls some nibbles. Which I do every time I vote.

Found the photo of last nights nosh!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Off To Vote Now

Body and mind permitting!

A quick 40-minute fart about to make sure I'd got everything needed. Including bus pass, if required, camera, voting papers, bag for Aldi shopping after the voting, and trying to make sure that everything was turned off that was needed to be, no taps running - forced a wee-wee, not that it needed much. Waste bags to the chute en route, and off I  carefully hobbled.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Rescued by Joe!

I was going out of the ground floor lobby, and Window Man Joe came from behind. A gentleman indeed; He offered to give me a lift up to the Voting Station!

Hehe! He'll never know how much I appreciated his gesture. I thanked him and wanted to kiss him, but I thought it would be best I didn't. This meant him having to get the walker-guide in the back of his van. Bless him!

Joe dropped me off in the Aldi car park, right next to the Polling Station. Thank Joe again. I hobbled to get the voting done... Back-Pain Brenda and Arthur Itis making sure that hobbling was not an easy task to do.

This photo should have been of the nasty Herbert on an Escooter. But he was going that quick; I missed him altogether! Who came from behind me as I approached the temporary voting building.

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Voting

At first, one said we cannot accept this... I put on the trembling bottom lip and told them that I always do this every vote. Explaining that they usually come to the flats for voting, but with the Covid, it's been moved up here now. They gave each other searching for a decision looks and accepted the carrier. Nice!

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Into Aldi

I found some citrus air sprays and bought 4 of them; I love the scent of these.

Some lemon yoghourts. Laundry liquid, cream doughnuts (Ahem!), and strawberries are a treat for the Winwood flats wardens.

Whoopsiedangleplop

As I was paying, I dropped the bag and got in a pickle, but sorted it, and the chap was patient with me as I got things sorted out - something that would never have happened had it took place in a Lidl!

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Homeward Bound

I trudged along Woodborough Road to the junction with Mapperley Rise. Aptly named because it is one of the steepest roads in Nottingham.

I turned right down the hill, and I took two photographs of the view?

Probably due to Nicodemus' neurotransmitters failing?

I descended down to the Rise, slowly, carefully and nervously.

It was a little scary at times, getting through the spaces left by the Pavement-Parked vehicles.

I had to stop a few times to catch my breath, which would never have been needed a few months ago - Ah, well!

After what seemed hours, I got down to Chestnut Walk, seeing the Winwood complex, and the thought of getting a sat down and a mug of Glengettie seemed very appealing to me at that time!

In The Winwood Lobby!

Dropped the Straws off for Deana. And on through link passage, with stinging feet, Backpain Brenda and now they were joined by Anne Gyna! This is when the Co-Codamol come in handy.

The end door was still in the same condition, but notices informed us why the work was being done.

Through the doorway and into the lift, I hobbled, slower than ever now, and feeling a smidge weary.

Unfortunately, someone had left the pulldown seat out in the lift cage. Muggings here had not noticed it, and the sudden stop propelled the trolley handlebar right into my groin area!

Hence the pose as I took a selfie in the elevator cage on the way up. Hehe!

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back In The Flat

I was not in a good state now. Struggling to get things together over what needed doing... but it soon became clear to me that a wee-wee, food and sleep, in that order, were the top needs at this moment in time. Nowt else mattered!

Wearily, I wee-weed a gallon or so being evacuated (Haha!) Got a quick meal made up and still managed to enjoy it, even though I was battling to keep awake.

Ate it all up! And fell asleep with the tray still on my belly!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Carer Woke Me Up

I fear I cannot recall for sure who it was, who called, or what happened. I was in a sleepy fog and haze. Thinking back, it might have been Elena, I think, but then again, how I felt at the time... no, I think it was. Although I vaguely recall walking to the door with the carer as she left... I think, anyway.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Head Down Again!

I may have had a wee-wee, and I know I got my head down, uninterested in anything but rest now. Which can be dangerous cause U don't think I had the usual check-around before nodding off?

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Woke Up Around 00:30hrs

I made this graphic on CorelDraw.

It shows how much benefit I gleaned from Window-Man-Joe and his helping me with a lift up to vote.
