INCHIES DAY: Sunday 17th October 2021:

Hello, what's all this then?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

SUNDAY 17th OCTOBER 2021

The prorogue!

05:00hrs: I woke without a lot of input from the brain this morning. No thought storms, plans, ideas or hopes... in short, empty-headed? I didn't even need a wee-wee at all? Oddlimost!

But the torrent of weird, confusing thoughts started storming after a few peaceful moments of unadulterated pleasure at being able to go into a sort of standby mode.

Then the fretting started and stayed with me for a few hours. The letter that had arrived last evening was niggling at me, and it still hadn't been opened; So, I girded my loins, got ready to read what my EQ assured me yesterday, that would be 'not-good news'.

Well, my EQ was spot on again. It involved an increase in the cost of the carers and a new assessment to be made. The letter was so complicated that I'd already forgotten the first one as I moved to read the next section.

A telephone interview assessment will be on Friday 10th at 10:00hrs. I have a list of things to have to hand when they call, but where do I find them after the crap, fiddling, unreliable, mess-making, pretend declutterers and cleaners called?

Pretty low in spirits now.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

HEALTH CHECKS

Well, after the nerve-racking reading of the letter from Social Services, the results from the Health Checks were hard to believe and take! Especially after two days of really low figures?

Feeling even lower in spirits now!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne Utilised

Another shock, that's the third already today! The worst session for months! How so much evacuated product could come from one visit to the throne takes some understanding!

Gooey, sticky, stinky, bloodied, and it blocked the cistern! Took me ages to get rid of the product; I had to refill the tank several times to do so.

Then when cleaning myself up, I found that Harold's Haemorrhoids had been bleeding, but most worryingly, the fungal lesion too!

So, I had to go through the Daktacorting of the lesion, with the accompanying attached agony in doing so!

My low spirits had turned to depression this time.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Computerisationing

Answered a blogger comment from Billum from near Ohio. Then made a start on this template. I thought I was doing well and on the point of escaping the darkness of depression... and realised I had not yet posted yesterdays blog off!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I Thought It Was A Good Idea...

So I updated & posted yesterdays post to Blogger. What a Wassuck!

Morning Care Arrived

I was in the kitchen making a brew of Glengettie when the tuneful 'Oh Sussana' tune played on the door chime. I recall thinking, well, at least the chime is still working, somethings went right - Gawd, I was still in the depths!

But, not for long. I was raised to the level of almost-contented by carer Carol's attention! Despite my not saying anything, in the first place, she recognised that I was not my usual self, bless her ♥.

After getting the medications sorted and questions asked, she had a chinwag, and that freed my tongue, and I waffled on about the Social Services letter and how it had got me going a little. Carol had a look at it and said she would send an email to Meridian, asking that the carer on the telephone day reminds me and makes sure I have all that is needed on the day. Bless her cotton socks!

I asked Carol if she's let me take photos of Teddy and Koala bear; she let me; I was tickled pink! She made an inquiry; she asked why I had got a Teddy and Koala Bear on display? Hehehe! And fell in love with them! I told her of them being sent from the world for me by two kind beautiful TFZer ladies.

Thanks, Carol! She took the bags to the chute for me on leaving. Not had such kindness and patience for a long time. ♥ It gave me a much-needed boost.

Checked The Plates

They felt a lot betterer to walk on this morning. Much improved, methinks? Here they are... very fair!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Prepped Josies Meal

Made a mug of Thompsons Punjana and got the cooking process started.

Over the next couple of hours, I kept nipping back to cooking duties, in between getting on with this blog.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Delivered Josies Nosh

Dammit! First time I've been late in two years, Tsk! Not only that, but in my rush, I forgot to take a photo of Josie's tray. Grumph! A few minutes, no more than five, mind, late in doing so.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Swines!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

CorelDrawing

To make a header graphic.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Well, Did I Get Myself In A Mess?

Yup, I sure did! Out of the blue, when I should have been updating this blog, I got the whim to try and remaster getting on WordPress again. I tried what Tim Price had suggested, but this time I realised what I was doing wrong last time gave it a go. Brilliant! I got in... but had forgotten how to do things, change font and colours etc., it was not easy.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

When it came back on, I stuck at it and, through trial and error, fumbled my way along, suffice to do a post! Smug-Mode-Manipulated!

I edited the Ode from yesterday and put that on. I did get in another mess when the fonts kept changing, so I gave up and rewrote the Ode. But it went on okay; I even changed the fonts again, and this time it worked alright.

Dilemma - Dilemma!

Tickled pink with getting back on WP! However, a decision has to be made; Do I give up on the daily diary or not? No doubt about it. It now takes me too long to create the journal. No question about that. Peripheral Neuropathy Pete, Anne Gyna, Shaking-Shoulder-Shirley (who incidentally had been giving me some right bashing today), and Saccades Sandra are all responsible for my dilemma.

I carried on with the post, constantly stopping to muse over what I should do. Common sense told me to stop - but despite the ailments, I still love doing them... Oh, Dear!

CEO Mike Fries led Liberty-Global, Virgin Media internet helps in my decision, as it is such crap. Today alone, it went down about 18 times!!!! Sometimes for a minute, others longer; one spell was forty minutes long. I kept forgetting where I was! So took even longer to get it done!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I'm not sure if I can stick to this, but after much heart-searching, I decided to stop the diary posts altogether... if I can!

Maybe do an Ode a day instead? That would save some time? I mentioned it to Tim Price via comments, and he thinks it might be a good idea. So that is my aim. (Oh, I do hope I can resist)

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Went on Corel Draw

Not for long, just until the internet came back online. (Fed-up with this!)

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

WHOOPSIEDANGLEPLOP!

Argh! I've not done today's Facebooking for yesterday yet! I dare not look at the clock - but saw the time on the computer, Tsk! It's gone 21:00hrs already!

So, with...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Five more times!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Did The Facebooking

At last, it was done, and I felt a little better about my decision to stop the diary blog and stick to doing an ode a day.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Started To Update My Last Diary

Well, I think it will be!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Now to be strong, and call it a day!

Wednesday 8th September 2021: Inchies Day, and sometimes the odd ode that might slip in!

♥ TFZers in the Kitchen? ♥

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Tuesday Evening

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

WEDNESDAY 8th SEPTEMBER 2021

06:10hrs: Consciousness was reinstituted, and my first thoughts were shared with Teddy & Koala (Above). They didn't make any comments. But it made me feel better, pretending someone was with me.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Up & At Them...

With a perkiness, not seen for a while, I abandoned the warmth of the second-hand, £300, c1968, overwhelmingly-sickeningly beige coloured, tatty, uncomfortable, wobbly-recliner, with fantastic ease? I took a weak, unwilling wee-wee.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Tended to the Health Checks. Not very good again today, though.

The pulse was racing away. I tried again on the new sphygmomanometer, thinking this reading may be wrong or the machine faulty? The SYS was still 164, but the DIA was down to 65, and the pulse was surprisingly even higher at 105! So I made the graph using the first figures.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

ACCIFAUXPAS!

Off to the kitchen, to find I had left the hot water tap running and it obviously it was running out cold! Self Hatred & Disgust flowed, bile in the tummy!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

WHOOPSIEDANGLEPLOP

I opened a can of peas for use later, and Nicodemus's neurotransmitters failed as I was draining the juice. The peas fell into the sink! The bowl onto the floor, and I knocked the strainer off the counter!

Not another lousy day coming?

Cleaned things up. The hardest bit was getting the peas from the sink; as soon as I touched them, they disintegrated? A heck of a job! Fortunately, I'd got the drain filter over the plughole, so I prevented any peas going down that might have blocked the waste pipe. (Phew!)

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Pottered About

I made a brew of Glengettie tea. Got the spuds ready for cooking later.

Made up some waste bags, put them n the box near the door.

Then, the door chimes chimed...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morning Carer Arrived

It was Carer Elena. The one with the eyes that could easily melt a bloke!

Elena was in a caring mood, bless her. Got the medications sorted, and we had a mini-gossip and managed a smile or two. Gave her a nibble as she left. She even took the bags to the chute for me on her way out. Bless her cotton socks ♥.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Spent Hours Blogging

I had to make the template first, then started creating this post.

Slow, tedious work, due mainly to Nicodemus's neurotransmitters. They were missing so often, I very nearly dropped the mug of tea twice; and did drop the pencil several times, even knocked the pad and camera off of the top!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Mused at the Emagazine.

To see if anything happening was worth putting on here. During this procedure, I suffered four 'Herberts'!

Covid-19 Latest for Nottingham

Numbers down on the previous week. But still enough numbers of new cases, not to take sensible precautions?

The rest was all crimes, stabbings, burglaries, Con-Men (That reminded me of the declutterers I used!), missing persons, drink-drug drivers and other such dour happenings from Nottingham.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Made Template In Advance

Created for tomorrow. For me, to try to get ahead a little for once.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Called To Porcelain Throne

Utter failure! Solid as a rock! Harder than Concrete! I sat sitting there, expecting my rear end to be spit open, such was the pressure... But nothing moved, not even any wind escaping! More Dioctyl® needed, methinks? I spent so long in the wet room, I got one more solution to crossword 100, not finished it, of course. Then I moved on to puzzle 101, and even got some clues solved on that one!

Smug-Mode-Engaged!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back To Template

Got it done finally. Getting well into the afternoon now. An hour or two to go before the Amazon order, being delivered by DPD, arrival hour starts.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Stopped for a Mug of Glengettie

Took a snap of the end car park.

Luckily, I managed to get all of the vehicles parked there in the shot. Hehe!

Got a decent shot of East Sherwood.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back to Blogging

No, Sorry - Food Instead!

Microwave sausage muffin, Jenny supplied gorgeous home-grown tomatoes and a few potatoes. Followed by a lemon mousse. Very nice and tasty it was, too!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ablutionalisationing

I was Gobsmacked!

No cut gums or teeth - One... I repeat, ONE teeny-weenie cut shaving! No toe-stubbing, no Dizzy Dennis, Shaking Shaun, visits. And I didn't walk into anything, bang owt, or topple over... What a Session!

SMUG-Mode-Adopted!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

New Braces Arrived

The chap was soon up at the door. He checked on my name, date of birth and took a photo. I got light but big-box onto the recliner and took these snaps...

When I got the parcel opened, the two pairs of braces in the white bags were dwarfed by the packaging!

Got the cardboard and paper to the waste chute, and I got it down out of the way.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Unfortunately...

I gave myself a self-inflicted toe-stubbing of superior quality when leaving the room. It hit my own foot with the walking stick, known to me as Wooden-William.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Care Arrived Nice & Early

It was Valerie. The gal seemed under some pressure tonight somehow. Shame! Bless her, I tried to perk her up, but I think I failed rather miserably this time.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

UPdated this blog

I thought I could see something on the carpet near the waste bin as I was doing this. Thinking it had to be waste from the box rubbish, I got the picker-upperer, and I tried to gather it...

It refused to be collected? Haha! Moments later, I realised what it was. I can be quick-witted at times, you know...

It was the ebbing sunshine, going through the holes in the basket, onto the floor!

I did feel a fool. Well, a mutton-head, twerp, nincompoop, schmuck, and or gudgeon as well, like. I rather think that pillock would perhaps be the most condign word to describe my asininity? Take your pick.

Posted it off to Blogger for them to rearrange my formatting before publishing.

The Herberts!

Oh, I'd nearly forgotten. I've been keeping track of the Herbert's on the notepad all day. I've kept a record of how many each hour (Roughly). Here they are:

I admit to having arithmophobia. But, using the two sheets of notes (and the computer calculator), I reckon I've only had to contend with 41 Herberts today! Mind you give me time, it can be increased late at night sometimes...

Monday Evenings Farces

Updating Facebook, and...

Virgin came back on for ten minutes...

Depressed again now.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

TUESDAY 7th SEPTEMBER 2021

After about five waking-ups, this sixth time, the brain joined me. Informing me of an urgent need for a wee-wee.

So, a weary-bodied and tired-minded Inchy clambered out of the c1968 recliner. Limping to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket), and suffered a painful, resistant sprinkly wee-wee.

That woke me up a bit more!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I Greeted My Pets

Had a natter with Katie and Teddy as I got some clothes on after vigorously rubbing some Phorpain gel into the knees and lower back.

The residue I rubbed into the hands. Colin Cramps had been visiting overnight again. Arthur Itis and Back-Pain Brenda were still aching from yesterdays meanderings down the stairs, or rather back up the stairs. Hehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Made a Brew of Glengettie!

Ah, that's better, dark, strong, and so very tasty tea is this brand!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Popped Out on the Balcony

With the camera, and took these shots of the car parking situation. Also, to advise Billum of Ohio of the RCMA Red Car Monitoring Assessment (Financial Donations Accepted) of Ohio.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Made Up Some Waste Bags

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Brew to Computer

Started in earnest to get the photographs sorted. Then onto Facebook, with the intentions of getting the Monday post that £22m a year salaried Mr Fries, and their terrible intermittent crap Virgin Media service, caused me to abandon in the early hours, yesterday...

Guess what happened when I was on Facebooking?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I went to Clean-up in the Kitchen.

Not knowing how long the lamentably, horrifically incompetent Mr Fries Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet would be down for this time, I got into cleaning the wall tiles behind the cooker.

It was a very-aching in most areas Inchy after I'd spent an hour trying to get the tiles cleaned properly. I still wasn't happy with them, but they were a lot better looking now. No doubt, Mr Fries's Liberty-Global, Virgin Media Internet will go down again soon, then I can have another go at the stubborn marks.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Hello, the Blood Pressure readings were creeping, well.. leaping up again! Today it was approaching the nasty red 'Ring 999' rating on the NHS's computer rating graph! Mmm?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Email From HRH Lisa!

I had a good read of it, and I replied to the gal. Another treasure of mine, even if only through the ether.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Catch-Up on Facebook Attempted!

As I began to add to the TFZer Zone site... guess what?

Swine!

I tried everything I could to get get it back on. Reset the box, computer all off and on again, prayed, swore profusely at and planned how to kill Mr Fries, reset the box again, considered making an effigy of Mr Fries, and consulting black magic sites on Mr Google... but these naughty thoughts were abandoned...

HERBERT

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Morning Carer Came In

It was Helen. Got the medications sorted out, she informed of Jill leaving; Sob! Life will get a little more lonely and pointless from now on. (Humph!)

Helen and I had a mini-natter, and she had to nip off to do her rounds.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne - First Attempt

I was absolutely convinced that I had to rush to the wet room. So I did! And sat sitting there for Gawd knows how long! The crossword puzzle number 100 was utilised while I sat there wondering if anything will ever move; I did rather well on the clues today as well!

But any hopes of an evacuation had to be relinquished. It was not having it! The feeling and senses told me there was a mass of product begging to be released from within, but rock hard or cram-packed slushiness? I don't know.

Hopefully, I can try again later...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Finally Got The Facebooking Done

About seven hours later than usual, but still. Mr Fries made a mistake, I think, the internet, although slow, has not gone down for over an hour now!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Brew & Dioctyl®

With my innards being so solidified, seemingly anyway, I made a brew of Thompsons Punjana and took a Dioctyl® poo-softener. As an after-thought, I took a Senna as well. Hopefully, this should start some movement before long.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Frustrations!

Finally, I got Mr Fries, Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet, back on. Then made a start on building this template. Hard work, as the Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet was so terribly slow againStubbed my toe.

Saccades Sandra causing the eyesight to blur badly. Luckily, only for a couple of hours or so. Now back to the regular hazy-view vision again.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Made A Start On This Blog

Still slow going. I managed another hour or two, then got the call of nature...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne - Second Attempt

Bloody & Painfull, but...

Successful! Hurrah!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The evacuations, solid or wet, get crappier,

My bones? I can hear them getting creakier!

The efforts each day, making me slowly weaker,

The evacuation content, ever grizzlier,

The effort needed makes me dizzier...

The session definitely getting bloodier,

Daily alternating twixt liquid and clingier,

Amusingly, always with a different aroma,

Still, it's to be expected; I am getting heftier!

It could always be worserer!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Well, Fancy That - Big Gob Me!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Going to get summat to Nibble

So, I did! A sausage and cheese muffin, microwaved sausages, sugar-snap peas and some tomatoes.

ACCIFAUXPAS
Door Chimes Chimmed

Just as I got the meal ready and photoed it. Jenny had called and left some tomatoes on the floor outside the door for me. That was so kind of her ♥.

Wiped the Microwave, saw the ticket attached, 'Dot Not Use This Microwave until you have removed the outer seal!' So, as the meal got colder, I hurriedly carried out the instructions.

ACCIFAUXPAS TWO

Spilling the bleach as I did so and some splashing on the new shirt I was wearing. Humph! I whipped off the shirt as fast as possible and got it into the bowl with some soap liquid to soak.

ACCIFAUXPAS Three

By then, I'd totally forgot about the meal that I'd made and carried on, washing the shirt, rinsing, ringing, refreshing and hanging to dry. A think one this is, it's going to take a long time to drip-dry. I'll move it get dry enough to safely do so and hang it on the stand-up airer in the junk-room.

ACCIFAUXPAS Four

Oblivious of the waiting to be eaten food, I then swept the kitchen floor, then mopped it and was semi-pleased with the resulting photograph.

ACCIFAUXPAS Five

Washed the mop and bucket, which was not a big job, of course. And when I got out of the wet room, I took a photo of how quickly the kitchen floor can dry when you do the job properly. From finishing mopping to the floor being dry enough to walk on, 5 minutes!

A Smug-Moment was definitely coming on when I realised the meal was still there on the server awaiting my attentions.

The congealed, cold, not too pleasant meal. But, I ate it all, all the same! Actually, it wasn't too bad.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Night Carer Arrived

T'was Julia, the American girl. Who soon had me sorted out, medically speaking. A nice gal, we had a mini-chinwag, which I enjoyed. I had to almost force her to take a can of plonk in thanks; bless her cotton socks and twinkle! ♥
