Thursday 26th August 2021: Inchies Diary, and sometimes the odd ode, that might be told?

Potatoes belatedly in Crockpot
Added some Worcestershire sauce.

.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -.

06:00hrs: I stirred, in a fainéant, slugabed mode straight away, and nodded off again.

So, that helped me to part company with the £300, second-hand, c1968, eyesorely-horrendously grungy coloured, haemorrhoid-testing, unfit-for-use, recliner... But it still took a lot of effort, despite the absolute and ever-increasing in degree need for a wee-wee, and for once, the recliner felt comfy... Humph! 0615hrs: I woke up again, and I was working out how to battle my dysania, and the need for the regulation wee-wee arrived.

Got to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket), the flow was weak, but with a lot of  PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling). I took the NWWB to the wet room for being emptied and sanitised. The body was working well this morning. There were hardly any losses of balance too! But the brain was a little foggy... nae, bollixed and confused!

Got the bucket done and disinfected, took it back to its handy position, ready for any urgent needs in the front room. Then went off on one of regular early morning and evenings, 'Start doing this... so something else, forget what I was doing, begin on an unrelated job' routine.

I had a session of sorting and making up waste bags and got them in the box.

Sorted some clothes out that needed to go to the Winwood Court trinkets table, filled a big bag and put it on the trolley.

Then, for some unknown reason, I took a photo from the balcony of the end car park. Much more popular this morning, three vehicles were using it!

Health Checks Sorted

I was pleased with the figures. Not perfect, but they will do for me, nearly in amber!

Back To The MEanering Twixt Jobs!

Well, that was the plan, but things were interrupted with a call to the Porcelain Throne.

Again, there was a long, failed crosswording wait for the action to start. Once the movement began, there were a few oohs, ahhs, a shriek, and argh. I only just avoided giving out a scream! Yes, it was painful!

Still, no messiness to clean up!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

More Sorting Out

Added stuff to the bag on the trolley guide.

Carer Helen Arrived

Very late, but not her fault

She seemed a little down, nothing concrete to read, but her body language was translated by my EQ as if the gal was a little down. So, I made an effort to crack a few funnies and praised her work. Gave her some of the Towel-Pills, too. Helen liked them, bless her! She took the waste bags to the chute for me on her way out. Sounding a little happier as she trotted off. X That cheered me up too!

Hours Updating This Blog

The mistakes were coming thick and fast in my typing now. I may have spent longer correcting things than writing them!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

No Hot Water - Oh dearie me!

A few hours later, I went to get a wash and shave, but there was no hot water? Still, I wasn't exactly filthy. And the pale, ashen, stramineous feet looked okay.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Brekkers!

I made a good strong brew of Glengettie and had my daily orange Wagon Wheel for breakfast at the computer.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ode Composing!

Spent a few hours making up a funny Ode and got it sent off to Blogger.

Blogging until too Weary

Black Sheep of the Family!

First, taking the spuds out to drain them and discovered a black sheep in the colander.

Then I got the nosh served up. I used the rectangular mini-dish again, thus ate far less! Oh, I am good at times!

Franks, pots and tomatoes.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Snoozed for an Hour!

Woke, wee-weed and washed the pots.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Updating This Blog

As it came close to the possibility of the evening carer calling, I tried to get some graphics done on CorelDraw. Managed to get a couple done, and...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Carer Crept Up Behind Me!

Haha! Frit Me To Death Nearly!

I had my nose up at the screen, struggling with interference from Saccades Sandra, and the Carer greeted me loudly! I nearly fell out of the chair! Full marks to Elena; she caught me tonight. Better not take my blood pressure now; it's bound to be flipping high!

She was in a determined mood this time. Having failed to give me a heart attack, she told me off for moving the INR Dosage sheet, and got me to fetch her a box to put the medications in, then told me to 'Keep them here (where she put them), right on my recliner! Hahaha! She got the medicines given, did the questions, and read the City-Care Rehabilitation & Falls Team Letter. Told me to go on the website address provided. Yes, I will, I replied. Lovely gal.

Wednesday 4th August 2021: Photographicalisations, and maybe the odd ode, that might be told?

TFZer Lads Hideaway?

HRH Lisa & Sir Billum's Games Room

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Wednesday 4th August 2021

03:30hrs: Woke, worked out what day it was, wrestled out of the c1968 recliner, had a weak, unwilling wee-wee, and I went to make a mug of 99 tea.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Did The Health Checks

Amazing Results Again!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Handwashing

The made in Pakistan long-sleeved green shirt was hand-washed. Rinsed, refreshed, wrung and hung above the kitchen sink to drip dry. I put some potatoes in the crockpot for later. I'm planning a massive pan of stew or chilli, whichever for today, enough to last for two meals, depending on what the Amazon Morrison order has missing, of course.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Pottered About

Lollygagged about, made up some waste bags, put them in the box for the chute. Took another wee-wee, same resistant trickling! Then started making this template, which was slow work.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne needed

Well, that was easy?

This evacuation went so well; I could hardly believe how it went! No pain, no bleeding, very little mess, and smoothly, an all in one go effort! ♥

Another matter was the state of the right knee. (What's happening?) apart from Cartilage Cathy, the rest of the legs seemed in decent condition.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ablutionalisationing

Off to the wet room to get the stand-up ablutions done. The teeth cleaning went well, the nasal clearing also. The shaving was a mini-cut attaining session (Haha). None serious... well, one on my neck took a bit of blood-stopping. The body scrubbing took a while for some reason.

Smug-Mode-Adopted! The medicationalisationing of Little Inchies fungal lesion was, as it usually is, was the only thing that actually hurt and brought a few tears to the eyes! No more than six dropsies during the entire procedure.

The odd tender mark, whatever it is on the outside of the left elbow, was Germolened.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Carer Katie Called

For such a beautiful bonny lassie, she crept in silently (to me anyway) unannounced and made me jump. Hehehe!  I embarrassingly had to ask her her name. I still get confused over who is who.

I may have talked too much, but the gal didn't complain when I initiated a pleasant chinwagging minute or two. Bless her! Within minutes I'd adopted an outlook of unprecedented, rare gregariousness?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Started this Blog off

I was getting in a pickle with things, allowing myself to get sidetracked again, losing concentration.

Got the First of the Scam CAlls!

Grobleknackerbangles! Gringglebogs! Grollucks!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Amazon Morrison Arrived

Only three parcels? And five not-available items. I got them in and put them away. Sadly, there were no fresh peas or ready-prepared stew packs. A shame, that! So that's the end of my plans to make a chilli stew for lunch!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back On This Updating

Then I got another annoying call from the same scammers - I thought I'd broken the telephone handset when I slammed it down!

Pickleglobknobs and Grrr!

Rushed About Yes!

To get ready to have a walk down to the Sherwood and try to get some pod peas or other prepped veg! I'll call at the Wardens Den on the way.

Getting the shoes on alone was a challenge!

I went back inside the flat no less than three times to check that the faucets, heaters, lights etc., had not been left on. Sad, Innit?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

My Escape Started

I left the flat to the waste chute, then down in the elevator to the ground floor, and through the ink passage into Winwood Court.

To the Wardens office with a treat, but no one was in. I think one of the gals must be on holiday. Handed the mushroom to the hairdresser lady, who liked them muchly.

Outside, and started my walk into Sherwood. Decided to get the bus down. Met Brian (that's a guess at his name) at the bus stop, and we had a good chinwag. Chrissie joined us, and I had a good natter with the gal; we caught the 40 bus down into Sherwood. I went in search of some pod peas...

Pod Peas Search Failed!

The Co-op and the Continental store both failed to have any fresh pod peas in stock. Sob! I bought some tomatoes and milk from the Co-op store.

To The Bank!

I remembered my forgetting my pin number for the card, so I went into the bank with what I thought was the number in my head to get the £350 to pay the Declutters, who insisted on cash payment.

Joined the rather long queue inside,  and the number I'd thought of had gone out of my head. I searched my pockets repeatedly, feeling confident I had it somewhere. Which, of course, I hadn't, even I am not that daft enough to write it down!) I think I was hoping for it to pop back into my grey cells, but it didn't! Embarrassed and weed-off, I left.

Up To The private supermarket

I hoped he may have some pod peas in - he didn't!

Limped Up To The Bus Stop

Feeling somewhat down now. But got cheered a little when Chrissie came and joined me. We had a good blethering session before the bus arrived, and another en route back up to the flats! Yet Another Natter With Chrissie...

As we entered Winwood Court and went through the link tunnel, into the lift, and up we went. I said my farewells as I left Chrissie, she was going up one floor to her abode.

In and Card Number Searching

Too late now of course, but I found it! What an idiot! No wonder I'm putting myself up for adoption! Hahaha!

The massive amount of food I'd bought was put away... in the fridge...

What a waste of energy and time!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Made a much-needed Brew!

Started on updating this blog. With the accompaniment of persistent clunking, tapping and scraping noises from Herbert above - he was really on form today!

The Lactose-Free milk was delicious tasting!

Ode To The Pea Failed Searching Spree

Going out was not easy, painful in fact,

Got no peas, forgot my card number too!

Boy, was I feeling depressed and blue!

I tried not to sulk or overreact,

But, my Mojo had been highjacked,

I forgot to get the Gorilla glue,

No veg now, to make a stew...

I did get some tomatoes, prepacked,

Hopes and encouragement ensued,

Not really... the depression continued!

Going out was not easy, painful in fact,

I got home, feeling thoroughly thwacked.

Updated This Blog

Herbert Clanging and Banging prevented me from getting a kip. I did get down though,  closed my eyes and at last, felt Sweet Morpheus taking charges, then...

Colin Cramps In Both Legs!

I've not had such a sustained and hurtful attack like this in months!

Naturally, this put the final nail in the coffin for me getting any sleep again! It took ages before it died down. Phorpain Gelled both legs. Risked taking an extra painkiller. Honestly, I couldn't move for twenty minutes! One of Colin Cramps more successful raids this time, cunningly cruel, in his ploy of attacking both legs simultaneously!

Ode To Vascula Dementia

When you forget things, you feel a right apricot,

You may go to the shop to buy turbot,

And come away with a packet of beans, haricot,

You make the tea, burn fingers on the teapot,

You realise you'll never again be a hotshot,

Ah... the things that daily you've forgot?

Your plans change, to a worrying hotchpot,

You're not really a fool or idiot,

You become a nervous wreck, a fusspot,

Be warned: Important things will turn into Tommyrot!

Wednesday 28th July 2021: Diary, Photographicalisations, and maybe the odd ode, that might be told?

TFZer Now Doing Acting? Haha!

Wednesday 28th July 2021 Evening...

Bacon and beans for a nosh. Liquid smoke, passata and chilli were added as seasonings.

8.9/10 for flavour.

Evening View - Still Blue!

Comfort Nibble

When I opened the cover to the lolly, I thought it might have been a Covid-19 bug? Hahaha!

Wednesday 28th July 2021: Diary

06:00hrs: Slowly, I stirred back into pretend-life, somewhat reluctantly, and waited for the brain to follow me, which it did. I felt so tired, and yet, I'd had over six hours kipping? A marathon for me. And yet I still felt heavy eye-lidded?

The need of a wee-wee arose, so I forced my wobbly, gross-bellied body out of the chair and to the wee-wee bucket. Short, sharp shock, all done! Had a wash.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Potatoes in the crockpot

Seasoned with a drop of liquid smoke and some sweet chilli flavouring.

Blood Pressure
IN THE GREEN!

Fan-Flipping-Tastic!

Haha! I'm not going to get too excited. Looking back at how changeable the BP results have been, I allowed myself a small Smug-Mode moment, with this being the lowest-ever recorded.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morning Carer Arrived

It was Sam(antha) who came. She soon got me done, and we had a little chinwag, which, as you know, means me doing most of the talking. Hehehe! But she did get the odd word in!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Blogger Comments

I had three today, from Tim, Lisa and Bill. Replied to them and went to make a brew of Thompsons Pujana tea. Nice and strong.

I heard some noises from outside and went into Sherlock Holmesian Mode to investigate.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Balcony Visited

I had a look at the end car park constructions. Espied two chaps doing what looked like an assessment of the progress made.

I zoomed in on the workmen.

Thus, in the first close-up photographic effort, I cut off the chaps legs. Nicodemus's Neurotransmitters started to play up simultaneously as Shuddering Shoulder Shirley started shaking, doing her best to dislodge my scapula! Tried again...

I still managed to cut of their feet this time. One of the lads was on his mobile. I imagine consulting with the maintenance department of Nottingham City Homes - or placing an each-way bet with his bookie on Snow Lantern in the three o'clock Sussex Stakes at 9/2? Not a good choice!

Ah, he must have been talking to the NCH Maintenance division cause a minute later, a Nottingham City Homes van arrived. Hehehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back to the computer

And the now not-so-hot mug of Thompsons Punjana. Ah, well!

Got the template made up, and I started on this blog. Nicodemus seems a little eager to bother me now. But he's been fair to me for a day.

Bugger It Feeling groggy!

SAt down and tried to read a book, but the small print and Saccades Sandra put an end to that! Turned on the goggle-box, nodded off for half an hour or so, and rose for a wee-wee. Now there's a thing, I've just realised how few I've had?

Composed the Ode Below

Ode To The Day - So Far

A short but successful somnambulance,

But, the darkness creeps back, no avoidance,

Anne Gyna twinging with her painful petulance,

Duodenal Donald joined in, with perseverance,

Blank and dizzy spells tested my forbearance,

Things may get better; what's that chance?

Scam calls coming in all day, aggrievance!

My head spins with indignance & insignificance,

My resistance is losing its endurance,

Life is becoming an encumbrance!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Just To Cheer Me Up...

The Internet Went Down Again!

The depths of darkness return!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Went to Get a Shave & Shower.

Well, it's a bit of excitement for me. Humph!

Apart from the dropsies in the shower and a couple of shaving nicks, all went very well.
