Inchies Day: Sunday 10th October 2021

SUNDAY 10th OCTOBER 2021

Woke Up Wanting A Widdle!

03:30hrs: The instant I woke, memories of a dream I'd been having flooded from the grey cells. Which was superseded with a strong and urgent need for a wee-wee; thus my the time I'd scrambled to my feet and reached the overnight emergency bucket, all memories of the dream had vanished. I hate it when that happens!

Prepping Josie's Meal

My culinary artistry preparations were started, with a rare enthusiasm, as well, oh, yes! There was no stopping me!

Charlotte potatoes into the slow cooker, sprinkle in with sea salt and a drop of Worcestershire sauce.

Leeks and tomatoes sliced ready...

Oops! Nearly forgot the water chestnuts!

Into the saucepan with the beans, peas, beef and my secret mix of flavourings. I will not reveal to any cordon bleu sous chef, hash-slinger mess sergeant or even to Gordon whatshisname!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Health Checks Tackled

No real complaints about the results this time, although up a smidgeon!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Waste Bags Bagged Up

Put it on the box near the door.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Made a Brew of Glengettie

Put a drop too much milk in it, but it didn't matter in the slightest. Cause I let it go cold whilst on the computer. Tsk!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Computerisationing

Comments answered, well, the one that had come in. (I get the feeling I'm not as popular as I once was? Hahaha!

Got the Saturday diary finished and checked through. Posted it to Blogger. Emailed the link and went on Facebooking.

I'm in an industrious mood this morning?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Wee-Wee, & Washing

I hand-washed the thin dressing gown. And hung it up in the wet room to drip dry. Too early to put the heater on because of the noise it makes, disturbing the neighbours.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Added Extra Leeks...

To the meal. Put some passata with basil in the mix and gave it a jolly good stirring, and I had a taste. Okay methinks.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morning Carer Called

Katie, this morning. The gal had been on duty all night; no wonder she was late arriving, poor thing. This was her last call. She got the medications sorted, and she was still awake enough to see me drop a tablet as I took them all in one go, that muggings here had not noticed! Thanked her profusely! I got an excellent chinwagging session in with the gal as she relaxed a bit, having got all of her morning calls completed. A choice of nibbles and drinkie was offered.

Julie took the bags with her for me.♥

Tried To Get A Graphic Made

But, ran out of time, as Madam Josie's meal had to be tended to.

Feet looking much betterer!

Own Nosh Done

Enjoyed this one for one. Flavour Rating of 7/10 granted.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Fatigued

Put a Goodbye Sweetheart' DVD on. Got sat down to fall asleep, wake up. Rewind the DVD, fall asleep, wake up - rewind the tape... fall... for over five hours! I was still on the first episode I started on! Tsk!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got Up

Titivated the kitchen, made a brew of Thompsons Punjana. And spent some time wondering if I got a phone call during my nodding-off marathon - or was it a dream? Or whatever?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Computer on

Sorting the above photos.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Carer Arrived

19:20hrs: It was Carolynne. Got the tablets sorted, had a mini-natter; she looked a little tired, bless her. I asked her to take the bags to the chute on her way out. And she obliged me.

Finished this Blog-off

Mad a start on a new Ode I had in mind to create, but it didn't come easily, so I gave up. Any Ode that I struggle to put humour into is abandoned; forcing things does not bode well for a witty ode.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Facebooking

Spend a long time, mostly making mistakes and getting things so wrong, I thought I was going crazy. Which seemed logical to me at the time. Hehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Good Evening!

Sunday 26th September 2021: Inchies Day, and sometimes the odd ode that might get slipped in!

Legendary TFZers

SUNDAY 26th SEPTEMBER 2021

0610hrs: Woke, wobbled onto my one swollen-footed feet, and I struggled to use the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket). No, that's not right, sorry; I struggled to get the wee-wee started. I could almost feel the wee fighting its way through... then, Whoosh! I think I might have emptied the bladder in seconds. Messy!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Prepped Josie's Stew

Veg and seasonings in, adding meat and potatoes later.

Got the spuds into the crockpot.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Snapped the end car park

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Carer Arrived

Care Fatua came this morning. I was stirring the broth when she arrived.

Fatua had done the medications by the time I cleaned up and got in the room from the kitchen. I tested the front door chime (The only external door) because she did not use it on arrival to ensure it was still operational after putting the new battery in.

Gave me the tablets. Fatua was soon off on her other visits.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Handwashing

I washed the tank top shirt, which was green when I bought it and is now blue after the third wash? Hehehe!

Comments

Tim & Bill to reply to. Then made a start on this blog.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne

The best session for weeks! Smooth, no pain, no bleeding, and not too messy. So, the Galpharm® tablets did their job without a doubt, so much more effective than other over-the-counter items!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Blood Pressure figures were a tad higher today. But I've had far worse.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Wee-Weeing Freer Now

The wee-wees are coming more often now. Without any reluctance to start flowing, or any pre or after micturitional dribbling whatsoever! No bleeding or pain either! Which was nice!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Sister Jane Rang

Had a natter as I was going between blogging and prepping Josies Sunday lunch. Enjoyed the natter, but had a minor Accifaupa, dropped the stick, and Josie's dish. Bit of a mess.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Sorted and on with serving

Off to Josie's door to deliver the Sunday lunch. Josie looked please with the presentation. (In particular, the small can of pink gin!) Hahaha!

Delivered on time again. (Smug Mode Engaged). Had a mini-chinwag, I wished her happy eating and returned to the flat to get the washing up done.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Prepped My Meal for later

I used the leftover chilli stew from Josie's and added more potatoes and black bean sauce. Left it to marinate, then later I can use the microwave to heat it up again, for eating. It smells good!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Jenny Called

The poor gal was not very good. She'd pulled her back when she responded to help from a 90 year+ tenant who had fallen badly. Being Jenny, she responded and sat with the chap while they waited for an ambulance, which took hours, with it being a Friday night. Bless her ♥ We had a natter I mentioned the Warfarin DVT blood test farce. But I was glad she rang, else I would have forgotten about the new Caremilk chocolate and cans of gin I was going to take for her and Nora, and it reminded me. I got them in a bag and popped down to Jenny's apartment with them.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I reheated my meal

I'm not sure what, or if I did owt wrong with this dish - but it was terrible tasting! The worst one in a long time. I just hope that Josie's was alright. Top taste rating I can give, is 3/10!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Tired and weary, head-down!

Zzzz! Woke over two hours later. Rose wearily still, had a powerhouse wee-wee; that caught me out! Hehehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Carer Arrived

I was in the kitchen, singing to myself - didn't hear her come in of course.

I think she thought 'Hello, I've got right one hear!' Hahaha!

No messing, she got down to sorting the medications and gave them me in the pot with the lid on. Naturally, I dropped the pot thanks to a Peripheral Pete involuntary Hitler salute from the right arm - explained my problem, and she picked up the tablets and put them in the lid for me. That was easier to control in the event of any salutes, shakes or shoulder shudderings while taking the tablets.

19:10hrs: She was soon off, bade her farewell, and had a wee-wee.

Updated This Blog

Posted to Blogger. Emailed the link, Facebooking, and took another dulusionary wee-wee. Seems the Furesomides are working well. Hopefully this might help clear the fluid from the ankles?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

As I see things, either Herbert was working on a smaller model, my hearing had f=gone altogether, or I missed some during my afternoon nap. But, I reckon there was only about ten incidents today!

Sunday 19th September 2021: Inchies Day, and sometimes the odd ode that might get slipped in!

The TFZer Lads on a visit?

SUNDAY 19th SEPTEMBER 2021

04:30hrs: I woke with the Thought Storms still raging in my bonce! I more or less tried to ignore them, and eventually, the need of a wee-wee saved the day, well morning.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The swollen fluid-filled feet were far better than yesterday. On the mend?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Wee-Wee Taken

An FPB (Forceful-Painful-Blasting) long, a marathon of a wee-wee flowed out as if from a hose-pipe! Splashback was narrowly avoided. The bucket was taken for emptying, cleaning and refreshing.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Prepped Josies Sunday Lunch

Got the beef chilli-black bean and vegetables in the saucepan and seasoned.

Put some potatoes in the crock-pot for me later on in the day.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Waste Bags Sorted

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Kettle On - PHoto

Got the kettle on the boil. Then took this snap of the end car park

Eerie looking photo, taken through the glass pane? I didn't want to disturb anyone as early as this, with the inevitable noise that closing the ill-fitting, finger-trapping windows make.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The BP graph SYS & DIA combination was still creeping up a smidgeon.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne Duties

Well! Yet another decent session today. A little reluctant to start. I had another go at an old crossword that I'd not done very well with... and didn't again. Hehe!

When that action started, it was as smooth as silk, easy-peasy! Totally painless, no bleeding either! Very satisfactory. It didn't pong as much as it did yesterday... or I'd got a blocked nose?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Blogging!

Updated yesterday's blog and got it posted off to Blogger. Emailed the link and went t make a brew before intending to go on TFZer & Winwood Facebooking...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morning Care Arrived

Very late. I realised why when I saw it was another new gal today. So it was understandable, Kylie being late.

Name of Kylie. 'What do I do?' was her first question after introducing herself. I kept schtum while she sorted the medications for the first time. Pretty young thing. As she gave me the tablets, I explained my sudden involuntary movement on my right side, so she wasn't startled if I gave a Hitler salute or burst into the Neuropathic Leg Dance. She gave me time for a natter but was obviously behind in her rounds, so I had to let her go. Hahaha!

Facebooking - Blogging

Had to go on CorelDraw to get graphics done; I'm out of any to use now.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

CorelDrawing

Got one graphic done and realised I had to get Josie's meal done yet! So, I did!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got My Toque On

Sampled the homemade stew/chilli. It seemed okay; I'm instead hoping that Josie thinks the same as I do.

Served up the bowl on a tray with the extra weekly nibbles.

Delivered it on time to Josie's door, keeping my 100% record. Smug Mode Installed! One thing that worried me, Josie seemed happy with the beef chilli/stew, biscuits, limoncello dessert, and chocolates. But the can of plonk got some attention and a mild interrogation. Hehe!

I could not answer her question about what was in it, and the printing on the can was too small and faint to read. But when I told her that I knew not and added that the drink is 4.5% alcohol, which is stronger than her usual Vodka or Gin,   she seemed impressed, Hehehe! Wished her good eating and returned to wash the dirty pots I'd made creating the meal.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Busy Time...

I finished the pots, took the bags to the waste chute, and got the ablutions tended to...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ablutionalisation

Went very well again! Fair enough, over the whole session, including the medicationalisationing and dressing, only about eight dropsies. ☺

Just the one small nick shaving. One clouting of the elbow on the grab rail. One bash of my knee on the edge of the floor cabinet getting dressed.

Whoopsiedangleplop

As all was done, I grabbed the large kitchen roll to have a final wipe around the floor and sink... Guess what I knocked over as I grabbed the kitchen towel? And it landed straight into the WC?

Yes, I swore!

Knees and Feet Check

Both looking amazingly better now! ☺

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Cleaned The Kitchen Sink

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Dang-It!

I'd just finished titivating the kitchenette when I realised I'd not laundered the dressing gown! Gragnangles!

So, to avoid making a mess again in the kitchen sink and floor. I washed, rinsed, wrung and hung the gown up to dry in the wet room, on the curtain rail.

Cunning!

Started on Template for Monday

Blogger kept changing my formatting again. You know, alignments size of fonts etc.

So annoying, Spit!

Carer Arrived

A new to me, Carer arrived, as I was making a brew in the kitchen. Very late it was, too. No doubt someone had not turned up again. This gal was Christened Dionne, and we did have a chinwag and laugh of some depth. Dionne got the medications sorted for me. And we both took a photo of the sudden burst of late sunset sunshine that came through the clouds.

About one minute between shots!

Offered her a can of plonk in thanks, she took two (Haha!) and shot off cause she still had one more call to do, bless her cotton socks.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

My Mini-Meal

A ready-made Lasagne. I added some cheese slices on top of it. I had planned to put the last of the Leicester grated cheese on... but the mould had grown ferociously on it in the bag. Humph!

It didn't look very appealing but tasted okay. In fact, I gave it a deserved flavour rating of 7.5/10.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Pressed On With Blogging

I was far too far behind to get it finished early, as I had hoped, now. Gnash!

The going was so slow, too.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

21:10hrs: Started banging again up above!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Oh, I haven't mentioned the Wee-weeing!

I've been ticking on the notepad each time I've had a wee-wee... to date, the score is 18 visits to the bucket! No... 19 now!

It wears one out, you know!

Still, it's a good thing cause it will, or should, clear the fluid retention in the legs and feet more?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Blogging

Got as far as here, then finished off and sent the post to Blogger, and I went on Facebooking. Did an order for Morrisons from Amazon. Forgot to order some tomatoes, Tsk! Still, did remember to order some more bacon and ordered some refried black beans. I've never had them before. But the carer the other day mentioned how she loved them, so I thought I'd try one. Not sure what to have them with. I was thinking of the bacon? To be on the safe side, I found a can of the medium and avoided the strong and extra strong ones. I'm not sure it was such a good idea now.

I'm missing things, like sodality,

But I hang on to my morality,

Weakening now is my astucity,

My mind is confused, with duplexity,

It is not easy, mind-manageability,

Thus I'm missing sharing synonymity,

My memory shows undependability,

Thoughts share unclarity, unconformity,

Mind you, wee-wees show superactivity,

Logicality has no retainability,

Hopes and desires? A technicality!

Evening All!
