SUNDAY 26th SEPTEMBER 2021
0610hrs: Woke, wobbled onto my one swollen-footed feet, and I struggled to use the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket). No, that's not right, sorry; I struggled to get the wee-wee started. I could almost feel the wee fighting its way through... then, Whoosh! I think I might have emptied the bladder in seconds. Messy!
Prepped Josie's Stew
Veg and seasonings in, adding meat and potatoes later.

Carer Arrived
Care Fatua came this morning. I was stirring the broth when she arrived.
Fatua had done the medications by the time I cleaned up and got in the room from the kitchen. I tested the front door chime (The only external door) because she did not use it on arrival to ensure it was still operational after putting the new battery in.
Gave me the tablets. Fatua was soon off on her other visits.

Handwashing
I washed the tank top shirt, which was green when I bought it and is now blue after the third wash? Hehehe!

Porcelain Throne
The best session for weeks! Smooth, no pain, no bleeding, and not too messy. So, the Galpharm® tablets did their job without a doubt, so much more effective than other over-the-counter items!

Blood Pressure figures were a tad higher today. But I've had far worse.

Wee-Weeing Freer Now
The wee-wees are coming more often now. Without any reluctance to start flowing, or any pre or after micturitional dribbling whatsoever! No bleeding or pain either! Which was nice!

Sister Jane Rang
Had a natter as I was going between blogging and prepping Josies Sunday lunch. Enjoyed the natter, but had a minor Accifaupa, dropped the stick, and Josie's dish. Bit of a mess.

Sorted and on with serving
Off to Josie's door to deliver the Sunday lunch. Josie looked please with the presentation. (In particular, the small can of pink gin!) Hahaha!
Delivered on time again. (Smug Mode Engaged). Had a mini-chinwag, I wished her happy eating and returned to the flat to get the washing up done.

Prepped My Meal for later
I used the leftover chilli stew from Josie's and added more potatoes and black bean sauce. Left it to marinate, then later I can use the microwave to heat it up again, for eating. It smells good!

Jenny Called
The poor gal was not very good. She'd pulled her back when she responded to help from a 90 year+ tenant who had fallen badly. Being Jenny, she responded and sat with the chap while they waited for an ambulance, which took hours, with it being a Friday night. Bless her ♥ We had a natter I mentioned the Warfarin DVT blood test farce. But I was glad she rang, else I would have forgotten about the new Caremilk chocolate and cans of gin I was going to take for her and Nora, and it reminded me. I got them in a bag and popped down to Jenny's apartment with them.

I reheated my meal
I'm not sure what, or if I did owt wrong with this dish - but it was terrible tasting! The worst one in a long time. I just hope that Josie's was alright. Top taste rating I can give, is 3/10!

Tired and weary, head-down!
Zzzz! Woke over two hours later. Rose wearily still, had a powerhouse wee-wee; that caught me out! Hehehe!

Evening Carer Arrived
I was in the kitchen, singing to myself - didn't hear her come in of course.
I think she thought 'Hello, I've got right one hear!' Hahaha!
No messing, she got down to sorting the medications and gave them me in the pot with the lid on. Naturally, I dropped the pot thanks to a Peripheral Pete involuntary Hitler salute from the right arm - explained my problem, and she picked up the tablets and put them in the lid for me. That was easier to control in the event of any salutes, shakes or shoulder shudderings while taking the tablets.
19:10hrs: She was soon off, bade her farewell, and had a wee-wee.

Updated This Blog
Posted to Blogger. Emailed the link, Facebooking, and took another dulusionary wee-wee. Seems the Furesomides are working well. Hopefully this might help clear the fluid from the ankles?

As I see things, either Herbert was working on a smaller model, my hearing had f=gone altogether, or I missed some during my afternoon nap. But, I reckon there was only about ten incidents today!

TTFN
Who is that masked chef? Josie looked pleased. I hope she rated her meal better than you rated yours. Herbert was on hiatus maybe? Is Fatua and different gal from Fatima? Either way she or they seem like they are not friendly and therefore not suited for caring for you.
ReplyDeleteThat be a competitor for Gordon Ramsay, Tim. Haha!
DeleteI'm a smidge worried about Josie not being keen on the chilli as well... fingers crossed.
Eye they be different people, Sir. One is about 6'4", wears a yashmak under her facemask, and sometimes, she will have a natter, a quick one, but they all help. The other is shorter than I am, petite, tattooed, suntanned and sometimes gets me thinking of things I can no longer do! And she loves a chinwag. But I can't remember which is which. Then again, I may have got the names mixed up. The nice carers I always ask their name each time they call, others are not forthcoming so much, so I don't bother them.
Herbert is fooling me I think - ready for more drilling, banging and tap-tapping. I reckon he might be between modelling jobs, and has delivered his last creation, and is about to start on another? What timing - Herbert has just started knocking about upstairs!
TTFN, mate, thanks.
Yer nearly out of Sunday hours, Sir. We have about 7 more hours to go until then. Monday I get a booster shot of Pfizer vaccine because my ill health in the autoimmune department qualifies me for special treatment. So I will have received 3 jabs while many have not received a single dose. Perhaps I should thank those who saved their doses for me. I fang them very much. Jenny probably put all 90 pounds onto her back. 90 lbs isn't much if you weight it, but I wouldn't want to catch a 90 pound object. Ouchers.
ReplyDeleteFatua seems to have done well, a new name to me is wot.
The BP might just have been high because today is a Sunday, best reasons I can think of, Sir.
The toque looks good, I hope the sauce went better with Josie's meal than the one you rated at an abysmal 3.5. Now that is low-grad nosh most certain.
A mini chinwag with Janet is better than no wag at all — from the adages and advicements of Billum.
Injuries occur most often to the best people. Jen
I'm just glad you are having Pfizer, and don't run the risk of having any AstraZeneca crap, Sir! I can't even get my DVT Warfarin blood test done! Humph! If any extras are due, then they are deserved by you! It's true!
DeleteIt is methinks, a new name... but I can get a little muddled easily, you know - it comes naturally to me. Hahaha!
I too an concerned for Josie, I fear this could be the fiorst nosh she not enjoyed - I'll find out when she returns the dishes and tray later on. No doubt, as is her habit, she will arrive just after I've fallen asleep... oh, the door chime is kaputt! After all that help from carer Valerie too! Grrr!
I'll pass on you thoughts to Lady Jenny, Bill. Hopefully she might read them first. Haha!
Jane is doing well, her eye operation is due shortly, three weeks I think. Sorry, I meant to say they are checking on how the operation went for her, a scary job she had donw.
Pete has two visits re his Big-C problems, tests both.
Fare thee wellum! Ether hug for HRH ♥
