FRIDAY 15th OCTOBER 2021

0310hrs: I stirred into mock life again; a wee-wee was desperately required. I escaped the warm entanglement I was in on the recliner, and fumbled my way onto my feet, and passed into the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), virtually, without any pain whatsoever? Aha, a good start, I thought! Until the almost scary, monumentally long CM (Cessational Micturitional) dribbling began.

I patiently waited until it was safe to put Little Inchy away.

ACCIFAUXPAS!

As I was fastening up the string on the pyjamas, Neuropathy Pete gave me a shaking; at the most inopportune time - and Little Inchies fungal lesion was tugged on - and the bleeding began! Argh!

To the wet room, cleaned up, and (shuddering at the memory) applied the Daktacort Cream® to the lesion.

This allowed me to try out one of the new cheaper PPs.

A gungy colour, and slightly bigger than the Tena brand ones. But they are comfortable enough at the moment... I'll see if they drop or droop later on. Haha!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

.

YABBERDABADOO!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne

A rough one this time! Smelly, sticky, gooey, bloody (Fungal lesion & Harold's Haemorrhoids), but at least the steaming, stinking dirty-great dollop evacuated, cleared at the first twist of the flusher. So not a complete disaster.

Checked on the feet. No wonder they were a smidgeon sore.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

To The Kitchenette

Got the mushrooms and potatoes prepared for use later. Did I lose the photo? Yes! Grungleturds!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Updating Yesterday's Blog

After a three hour stint at it, I felt mentally worn-out, drained. Poor old thing!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morning Carer Arrived

A new now to me, her name was Raksen Akter. Distinguished looking young gal, very tall. She got the medications ruled over, and she was soon ready for the off.

I offered her a choice of nibbles in thanks.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Finally Finished the Blog

Made a brew of Glengettie, has a wee-wee; they were not so persistent this morning. Not up to now anyway.

Checked, then posted the diary off to Blogger, Emailed the link on Gmail, and had a wee-wee. (Big mouth me, Huh!) went on Facebooking, having three wee-wees in the process, uncomfortable ones.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Template for Today

Got in a pickle and trying to sort it out, and Sister Jane rang. She's sent me a photo via email; of an old friend from our younger days, Chrissie Wright. She spoke about her, but the brain was struggling a little to grasp the conversation. I'm reasonably sure that she said Chrissie had taken a fall and had to have her hip put back into position... Ooh, that must have been horribly painful for her! I asked Jane to send me her Email address to write to her while she's not feeling very well. Here's the photo.

Here is an old photo I have of Janet, Chrissie and yours truly. Hehe! See? I did use to have hair. Hahaha!

Chrissie hasn't changed all that much. They brought back memories! ♥

Jane and rambled on, and I sent her a photo of the Ben's Black Bean Sauce.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Well gone Midday Now

So, time to get the ablutions and medicationalisationing sorted out. Off to the wet room, I hobbled. With the thoughts of having to treat the lesion, not making me feel too happy. Haha! Gone like a shot?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

End Car Park Check

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ablutions Time

Stunning session!

No injuries of any worth, despite:

  • Dropping and breaking the nasal spray.
  • Falling and trod on and broke the Saccades dropper.
  • The shaving, only two dropsies, and one wee nick on the chin. (Don't worry, it's not affected my good looks!)
  • Broke the old toothbrush!
  • Clouted the elbow once, the shoulder, and pulled my back in the shower. (Sudden loss of balance, but no sooner out of the shower, it dissipated?)
  • The new cheap PPs did a good job holding in the blood from the fungal lesion, ace, at that price!

  • These PPs are easier to get into as well!

More good than bad by a long-chalk... I must find the time to look up where that saying came from!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I've Perked Up Now...

I got on with the household duties that I'd naughtily been avoiding.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Thick Quilt Washed

I've been using the quilt for months as a cover for the computer swivel chair; I decided it needed a good wash...

Whoopsiedangleplop

Well, alright, here comes the truth... I broke off four pieces of Cadbury whole nut chocolate from the fridge, and I took them with a mug of Thompsons Punjana to the computer. After I thought I'd eaten two pieces, I reached for the third... but there were no bits of chocolate on the dish?

Well, I thought, I can't remember eating them? Ten minutes later, I took the mug and washed it; when I returned to the swivel chair... the bits of chocolate were spread and melted all over the heavy quilt - I'd somehow made a right mess of it! I've no idea how I did that! What a plonker!

I took it off the swivel chair, put it in the kitchen sink to soak for a while, and returned to the front room...

ACCIFAUXPA!

I went into the trousers back pocket, to get the spare pencil, cause it seemed that I'd lost the first? And guess what?

The pencil was in the back pocket along with the spare one... I was losing it now!...

Along with the now moulded together missing lumps of chocolate!!!

Now the blue lounge trousers will also need washing! (Fed-up, now!)

It's going to be a right horrible job getting the trews clean. Some chocolate melted to almost liquid and dried. The others were semi-hard, soft and rock-hard bits on the seat of the trousers and in the pocket...

What the hell had I been doing to get into this mess? I'm sure as I can be nowadays that I hadn't nodded off... or was I?

Got the Quilt Washed

Then got the quilt in the wet room, draped over the shower chair and sock-glide, turned the heater on full, in a vain hope to get it dried within six months! That's going to b expensive! Yee Gods, it took me over an hour to just get them cleaned, making a mess as I went along that would need cleaning and sorting... Humph!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Trousers Done Next!

And what another farce this was!

WHOOPSIEDANGEPLOPS!

I broke the waistband button while giving it some while washing them. I got them wrung out as much as I could - but was semi-pleased with the way I spread them out on the hanger to dry above the sink...

WHOOPSIEDANGEPLOPS!

Afterwards, I stood there leaning on my stick, pondering how to tackle the wet floor and whether I should make a brew. And in almost slow motion, the trousers slipped off of the hanger, thus pre-wetting the kitchen floor for me to help with the mopping it?

By now, I'd lost the frustration feeling. And even smiled as the water dribbled down the cupboards onto the floor, no agitation now, just a form of resignation.

I swear I laughed out loud! What else could I do? Cry? Hahaha!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Kitchen Floor Mopped

I got the trouser rehung, and I cleaned the kitchen floor,

Over an hour - Ten.

Just What I Needed!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Can't Read My Notes

My scribble is getting worse, I think.

Any idea what the word or words are in the circle, please?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

New Door Chime Fitted!

Yes, really, & it's working!

The instructions were too small to read. However, I bought all my engineering, electrical and mechanical skills to the fore and cunningly mastered setting up the door chime, all on my own, without any help, and did not drop or damage anything in the process either. This should be s Super-Smug-Moment for me, and pride oozing through my blood-clotted veins...

But to be honest, it was easy peasy. No batteries, double-sided pad provided, and setting the sound and volume was just like with the old one that croaked on me. I can't claim anything skill-wise. Shame!

I did get a kick out of it working the first time I tried it, though. I selected the loudest volume and tune I could find. 'Oh, Susanna' reminded me of the 1958 Pete Seegers song (I looked up the name).

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Worra Day Up To Now.

Absolutely an up and down day today. Mistakes, errors, and many erratic mood swings; Worra Day! Good luck, heartwarming chinwags, Accidauxpas, Whoopsiedangleplops, Memory blanks, Fungal lesion agony.

Anything else to happen? Haha!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Carer

Who Rang The Door Chime!

It was the caring carer, Kara!

Got meds sorted and found time for a decent nattering session and laugh! ♥

She liked the new door chime! And, she voluntarily took the waste bags to the chute for me on her way out. ♥

Thanks, Kara!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Hang on a Minute...

I've not anything to eat!

Off to the kitchen to tend to the well- overcooked mushrooms and potatoes. Started making plans to create a plate of nosh, and...

THE FIRE ALARM SOUNDED

It only went off for about a minute. So I donned my Sherlock Holmesian hat and investigated; through the kitchen window with the Canon camera.

I'm not sure how I managed to take two pictures, but still.

I explained the noise to Teddy and Koala. In case they had woke in a panic. Haha!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Onto the Balcony

I took a photo of the evening sky (22:38hrs), beautiful, I thought.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

No Nosh Made Yet

I decided, it's been such a  long, busy day of ups and downs, incidents, etcetera, that I'd better get this blog finished off while I'm still awake enough. Made a brew and took it to the computer...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

ACCIFAUXPAS!

I gave myself a decent quality toe-stubbing against the swivel chair leg.

The plates seem to be getting some colour in them tonight? Or was it the camera and or maybe the lighting?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

 Change of Plans Again

I made an order for next week from J Sainsbury's - and came across a section where you can select allow substitutes or not for each item. At last!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Finished this Blog

Sent it to Blogger. Emailed the link. Went of Facebooking - sent photos of the fire engines to the Winwood Heights site. And sorted out some fodder at long last.

INCHIES DAY: Wednesday 13th October 2021: Plus a 'Thoughts On The Day Ode'

Keith is patient... Does anyone know why?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

WEDNESDAY 13th OCTOBER 2021

07:00hrs: Although at first, I wasn't sure if it was 19:00hrs instead, I stirred back into ersatz life. Soon realised, I had just slept for over six hours - and was ready for more, Hehe!

Then the Thought Storms began. What day is it? Have I missed the Carer calling? Isn't something being delivered today? Gawd blimey, the feet are hurting! Have they blown up again?

Ah! Along came the hot urine through the tubes with a bit of a sting with it. So, out of the recliner and to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket). When using the article mentioned above...

Accifauxpas!

I suffered a Neuropathic-Leg-Dancing episode, short but vicious it was! Gobsmackingly, I got the bucket down on the floor without any spillages or splashes! Which felt like a victory!

Amazed, yet I felt a smidgeon of pride in my rare, successful Anti-Accifauxpa manoeuvering! Smug-Mode-Status!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Feet Had Swollen!

The muscle in the lower right leg had sunken into the flesh? The toes were almost white in comparison with the colourful feet?

I took these shots of the state of the limbs.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Aha, an improvement this Wednesday. However, the green ranges are absent. Still, it gets me down to the Hypertension Stage 1! Only one reading in the red.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morning Carer Arrived

0810hrs: Carer Carol ♥ appeared in the room, the door chime is not working again! What the heck's wrong with it?

I've not seen Carol for a long time now. T'was a pleasure for sure. She got the medicines sorted, and we had a chinwag of great enjoyability, quality and humour.

Carole suggested I get a digital clock that shows the time in 24hr clock format. Which sounded like a great idea. I looked them up on Amazon later - but got too confused about which was suitable. I nearly ordered one but noticed in time that it was in AM PM format. Phew! Humph!

Thanks, Carole! ♥

Oh, no waste bags were taken to the chute this morning.

Comments

I caught up with comments replying to. Made a brew and heard what sounded like Herbert above had dropped a dirty great big box of tools on the floor. I hope he's hurt himself. Tsk! I meant I hope he hasn't hurt himself. Ahem!

Amazon Orders Checked

The cheaper PPs I ordered from Amazon should be coming today - By 10PM, it says on their tracker. I got all of the Tena ones left, amassed in the Porcelain Throne room. There was more than I had realised! I found some that the declutterers had hidden under the clothing boxes.

Fear not, better too many than too few?

Started This Template

However...

Is he bothered? No!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Made up More Waste Bags

Pottered about in the kitchen, got some potatoes in the crock-pot. Back to the computer, Mr Overpaid, uncaring Fries' Virgin Internet Media was back online. Miraculous!

BlogginG

Made a brew of Glengettie and set about creating this blog, mainly from the written notes I made as the day dragged on. Haha!

End Car Park Photo

Just the one car in it this morning.

Ordered New Door Chime

Got it through Amazon. I hope it works this time! I opted for this one because it says no batteries are needed? I'm crossing my fingers that it won't be too complicated for me to it set up. I'm lost without a door chine/bell. Nurses, delivery people, Carers may all think I'm not it because I cannot hear them at the door. They can knock the hell out of the flat's door (a term used by a carer), but my being Mutt & Geoff means I just am not aware of them... Mind you, with Herbert clanging and banging away, even if I could hear...

POrcelain Throne Session

The evacuation was the easiest one for ages. A smidge messy, but I've had many worse ones this week. No bleeding at all, so Harolds Haemorrhoids are getting a break at last! Haha!

Inspected The Plates

Hey-Ho! I think that the bloating/swelling has gone down a bit? The lump of missing muscle in the right legs shin seemed to be getting bigger, mind you?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Thompsons Punjana

I made a brew of the delightfully tasty tea and had two shortcake biscuits dunked with it! Oh, I do live well!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Wee-Wees

I've not mentioned them yet, have I? They are less than yesterday, but bearing in mind I filled the grey bucket twice and took many leaks in the WC bowl, that's not saying too much. Hahaha! Had yesterdays flood not happened, today's would be considered as far too many... I got a bit tied up with the words there...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Only five times in the hour! I think he might be getting to the end of this model of whatever that he's making?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

CorelDrawing Time

Inchies Day blog. I went onto CorelDraw; I must get some graphics made, as headers on the World Famous (Two people comment on it, you know!) Then I dithered and changed my mind again, and...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

hOUSEHOLD sanctification mODE ENGAGED!

A rare pertinaciousness came over me. A determination to get the bucket emptied and sanitised, the thick jumper washed, and the kitchen floor mopped! (This scared me a bit, too!)

A plan of action was made too! I whipped off the thick jacket, took it along with the filled wee-wee bucket to the wet room again. Got the bucket sanitised.

I used bleach and soda on it and disinfectant afterwards.

Got the jacket washed in the kitchen sink and hung up to drip dry. It was a bit of a struggle with the rinsing, with the thing being so thick, but I told myself to keep nipping in the kitchenette, hand wringing the bottom parts, as it hung on the hanger, to dry.

Then I started to clean the kitchen floor. Which cost me a few injuries as I struggled to get the old mop-bucket out.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

INTERRUPTION!

My plans had to be put on hold as the intercom rang. It was the PPs being delivered from Amazon. So, I abandoned the mopping and accepted the box from the delivery driver. Handed him a can of Gin in thanks and got on investigating the new cheaper PPs.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

A Challenge This Was

I cut my finger on the cardboard box opening it. Stubbed my toe on the trolley as I moved the boxes into the spare room. Took a bag of the PP's (6 packs all together delivered!) and took one out to have a look at what they were like.

They looked a little delicate, but at this price, I can cope with that.

A bit rough around the edges, too. I'll likely wear them when I go out; there's a reason for this... hobbling is so painful, the knees hurt, the swollen feet even worse, Anne Gyna isn't too keen on my outings, and Back Pain Brenda gets very annoyed with me - Thus, if the new pants turn out to be uncomfortable to wear, what the heck! See that? A cunning plan there!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back to THe Mopping Up!

Seconds after taking this photo, to show you how much the swollen foot had gone down...

ACCIFAUXPAS

There I was. Pressing down merrily and repeatedly on the Mop-Spinner mechanism. I don't think I need to tell you this, but... The foot slipped, and I trapped the toes in a multiple toe stubbing!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Josie Rang The Chimer

I got to the door as Josie was giving up again, and going back into her flat. I tried to explain why she could not get to return the tray and things from Sunday, told her about the door chime problems. Explaining again, that she can always open the door and come in, or leave the tray and things in the hallway. Josie explained why she couldn't get me... But it was all a stunted, unreal, farcical discussion. We both have dementia, Josie worse than me, I think. We are both deaf as well.

I told her of the new door chime coming that didn't need a battery... I think much of what Josie said to me and visa-versa was lost into the ether seconds after the words were spoken!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Graphics Needed

I went onto CorelDraw; I must get some graphics made, as headers on the World Famous (Two people comment on it, you know!) Inchies Day blog.

Got just two done, but felt that was a decent effort, with how I'm feeling at the moment. Suddenly weary and tired again.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Should I Get Something To Eat?

Yay, or Nae? That is the question. Mind you, the Carer is due shortly, so I'll leave it until the evening Carer has been. It should be Valerie, I think. Hope she enjoyed her break. So, I ate... 8.8/10 I did rate!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Balcony Photos

Just beginning to get dark now. I'll try to get some decent photos.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Waste Bags To Chute

As I was taking the bags through the lift lobby, Carer Valerie appeared from the flats at the other end of the building. She held open the chute room door for me to get in and out. We walked back to the apartments, and Valerie got the medications sorted out and served up for me.

We had a brief chatter between us, and off the gal trotted. ♥

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Downhill Then

No sooner had Valerie departed, the fatigue and dark depression came over me. I was not capable of doing much. Although I tried to work on a graphic, my heart was not in it, and I gave up.

Washed and down into the recliner, and I spent a while just waiting for sleep to come. The mind undisturbed by Thought Storms, I don't think I had the mental energy to bother?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Whoopsies, errors, more than my fair share,

Frustrations, far too many to bear,

Things happening, of which I wasn't aware?

At times I yearned for a wheelchair,

Toe-stubbings & tumbles here and there,

Vascular Dementia, causing much despair,

Of course, that's something you can't repair,

Occasionally, I'd just sit here and stare...

Then off for a wee-wee, taken with care,

All in all, it was a daytime nightmare,

No thought of logic, like being self-welfare,

But I'll fight it - I do declare!

I'll do my bestest, anyway, I swear!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
