FRIDAY 15th OCTOBER 2021

0310hrs: I stirred into mock life again; a wee-wee was desperately required. I escaped the warm entanglement I was in on the recliner, and fumbled my way onto my feet, and passed into the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), virtually, without any pain whatsoever? Aha, a good start, I thought! Until the almost scary, monumentally long CM (Cessational Micturitional) dribbling began.

I patiently waited until it was safe to put Little Inchy away.

ACCIFAUXPAS!

As I was fastening up the string on the pyjamas, Neuropathy Pete gave me a shaking; at the most inopportune time - and Little Inchies fungal lesion was tugged on - and the bleeding began! Argh!

To the wet room, cleaned up, and (shuddering at the memory) applied the Daktacort Cream® to the lesion.

This allowed me to try out one of the new cheaper PPs.

A gungy colour, and slightly bigger than the Tena brand ones. But they are comfortable enough at the moment... I'll see if they drop or droop later on. Haha!

YABBERDABADOO!

Porcelain Throne

A rough one this time! Smelly, sticky, gooey, bloody (Fungal lesion & Harold's Haemorrhoids), but at least the steaming, stinking dirty-great dollop evacuated, cleared at the first twist of the flusher. So not a complete disaster.

Checked on the feet. No wonder they were a smidgeon sore.

To The Kitchenette

Got the mushrooms and potatoes prepared for use later. Did I lose the photo? Yes! Grungleturds!

Updating Yesterday's Blog

After a three hour stint at it, I felt mentally worn-out, drained. Poor old thing!

Morning Carer Arrived

A new now to me, her name was Raksen Akter. Distinguished looking young gal, very tall. She got the medications ruled over, and she was soon ready for the off.

I offered her a choice of nibbles in thanks.

Finally Finished the Blog

Made a brew of Glengettie, has a wee-wee; they were not so persistent this morning. Not up to now anyway.

Checked, then posted the diary off to Blogger, Emailed the link on Gmail, and had a wee-wee. (Big mouth me, Huh!) went on Facebooking, having three wee-wees in the process, uncomfortable ones.

Template for Today

Got in a pickle and trying to sort it out, and Sister Jane rang. She's sent me a photo via email; of an old friend from our younger days, Chrissie Wright. She spoke about her, but the brain was struggling a little to grasp the conversation. I'm reasonably sure that she said Chrissie had taken a fall and had to have her hip put back into position... Ooh, that must have been horribly painful for her! I asked Jane to send me her Email address to write to her while she's not feeling very well. Here's the photo.

Here is an old photo I have of Janet, Chrissie and yours truly. Hehe! See? I did use to have hair. Hahaha!

Chrissie hasn't changed all that much. They brought back memories! ♥

Jane and rambled on, and I sent her a photo of the Ben's Black Bean Sauce.

Well gone Midday Now

So, time to get the ablutions and medicationalisationing sorted out. Off to the wet room, I hobbled. With the thoughts of having to treat the lesion, not making me feel too happy. Haha! Gone like a shot?

Ablutions Time

Stunning session!

No injuries of any worth, despite:

  • Dropping and breaking the nasal spray.
  • Falling and trod on and broke the Saccades dropper.
  • The shaving, only two dropsies, and one wee nick on the chin. (Don't worry, it's not affected my good looks!)
  • Broke the old toothbrush!
  • Clouted the elbow once, the shoulder, and pulled my back in the shower. (Sudden loss of balance, but no sooner out of the shower, it dissipated?)
  • The new cheap PPs did a good job holding in the blood from the fungal lesion, ace, at that price!

  • These PPs are easier to get into as well!

More good than bad by a long-chalk... I must find the time to look up where that saying came from!

I've Perked Up Now...

I got on with the household duties that I'd naughtily been avoiding.

Thick Quilt Washed

I've been using the quilt for months as a cover for the computer swivel chair; I decided it needed a good wash...

Whoopsiedangleplop

Well, alright, here comes the truth... I broke off four pieces of Cadbury whole nut chocolate from the fridge, and I took them with a mug of Thompsons Punjana to the computer. After I thought I'd eaten two pieces, I reached for the third... but there were no bits of chocolate on the dish?

Well, I thought, I can't remember eating them? Ten minutes later, I took the mug and washed it; when I returned to the swivel chair... the bits of chocolate were spread and melted all over the heavy quilt - I'd somehow made a right mess of it! I've no idea how I did that! What a plonker!

I took it off the swivel chair, put it in the kitchen sink to soak for a while, and returned to the front room...

ACCIFAUXPA!

I went into the trousers back pocket, to get the spare pencil, cause it seemed that I'd lost the first? And guess what?

The pencil was in the back pocket along with the spare one... I was losing it now!...

Along with the now moulded together missing lumps of chocolate!!!

Now the blue lounge trousers will also need washing! (Fed-up, now!)

It's going to be a right horrible job getting the trews clean. Some chocolate melted to almost liquid and dried. The others were semi-hard, soft and rock-hard bits on the seat of the trousers and in the pocket...

What the hell had I been doing to get into this mess? I'm sure as I can be nowadays that I hadn't nodded off... or was I?

Got the Quilt Washed

Then got the quilt in the wet room, draped over the shower chair and sock-glide, turned the heater on full, in a vain hope to get it dried within six months! That's going to b expensive! Yee Gods, it took me over an hour to just get them cleaned, making a mess as I went along that would need cleaning and sorting... Humph!

Trousers Done Next!

And what another farce this was!

WHOOPSIEDANGEPLOPS!

I broke the waistband button while giving it some while washing them. I got them wrung out as much as I could - but was semi-pleased with the way I spread them out on the hanger to dry above the sink...

WHOOPSIEDANGEPLOPS!

Afterwards, I stood there leaning on my stick, pondering how to tackle the wet floor and whether I should make a brew. And in almost slow motion, the trousers slipped off of the hanger, thus pre-wetting the kitchen floor for me to help with the mopping it?

By now, I'd lost the frustration feeling. And even smiled as the water dribbled down the cupboards onto the floor, no agitation now, just a form of resignation.

I swear I laughed out loud! What else could I do? Cry? Hahaha!

Kitchen Floor Mopped

I got the trouser rehung, and I cleaned the kitchen floor,

Over an hour - Ten.

Just What I Needed!

Can't Read My Notes

My scribble is getting worse, I think.

Any idea what the word or words are in the circle, please?

New Door Chime Fitted!

Yes, really, & it's working!

The instructions were too small to read. However, I bought all my engineering, electrical and mechanical skills to the fore and cunningly mastered setting up the door chime, all on my own, without any help, and did not drop or damage anything in the process either. This should be s Super-Smug-Moment for me, and pride oozing through my blood-clotted veins...

But to be honest, it was easy peasy. No batteries, double-sided pad provided, and setting the sound and volume was just like with the old one that croaked on me. I can't claim anything skill-wise. Shame!

I did get a kick out of it working the first time I tried it, though. I selected the loudest volume and tune I could find. 'Oh, Susanna' reminded me of the 1958 Pete Seegers song (I looked up the name).

Worra Day Up To Now.

Absolutely an up and down day today. Mistakes, errors, and many erratic mood swings; Worra Day! Good luck, heartwarming chinwags, Accidauxpas, Whoopsiedangleplops, Memory blanks, Fungal lesion agony.

Anything else to happen? Haha!

Evening Carer

Who Rang The Door Chime!

It was the caring carer, Kara!

Got meds sorted and found time for a decent nattering session and laugh! ♥

She liked the new door chime! And, she voluntarily took the waste bags to the chute for me on her way out. ♥

Thanks, Kara!

Hang on a Minute...

I've not anything to eat!

Off to the kitchen to tend to the well- overcooked mushrooms and potatoes. Started making plans to create a plate of nosh, and...

THE FIRE ALARM SOUNDED

It only went off for about a minute. So I donned my Sherlock Holmesian hat and investigated; through the kitchen window with the Canon camera.

I'm not sure how I managed to take two pictures, but still.

I explained the noise to Teddy and Koala. In case they had woke in a panic. Haha!

Onto the Balcony

I took a photo of the evening sky (22:38hrs), beautiful, I thought.

No Nosh Made Yet

I decided, it's been such a  long, busy day of ups and downs, incidents, etcetera, that I'd better get this blog finished off while I'm still awake enough. Made a brew and took it to the computer...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

ACCIFAUXPAS!

I gave myself a decent quality toe-stubbing against the swivel chair leg.

The plates seem to be getting some colour in them tonight? Or was it the camera and or maybe the lighting?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

 Change of Plans Again

I made an order for next week from J Sainsbury's - and came across a section where you can select allow substitutes or not for each item. At last!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Finished this Blog

Sent it to Blogger. Emailed the link. Went of Facebooking - sent photos of the fire engines to the Winwood Heights site. And sorted out some fodder at long last.

  1. Your feet are looking terrible. Interesting names for some of you carers. At least Kara had a natter.

"Kesteeown" in ze Frainche Langois) d'accord? I didn't realise you spoke Icelandic. Haha!
The flipping skate boarders and Escooterers they tell me, were lurking about yesterday.
I've just put a report in todays blog. A 24 year old youth, and his gang of course, were doing wheelies on the pavement and hit an 81 year old bloke at the bus stop, in hospital for two months - thankfully the yobboe got injured as well, but not enough. The door chime is chiming! When I treid it, no one had called of course. Hehe!
