Saturday 25th September 2021: Inchies Day, and An Ode To The Tumble in the Shower!

♥ Hello, hello... What's all this, then? ♥

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 25th, 2021

02:15hrs: I woke in need of a wee-wee, stumbled to the overnight emergency bucket, and passed a weak, resistant trickle. No more the half a cup! I decided I needed to stay up.

I'm not sure why, now?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Launched Into Medical Mode

The feet had changed a little. The left foot had gone down a lot, but the right one was stubbornly bloated still.

Blood Pressure Etc. Sneaking back up a smidge.

I amassed the needed articles and items and started with doing the olive-oiling of the earholes.

Cleaned the hearing aid. Medicated the areas in need of the same.

Phorpain Gelled the knees and ankles. Took a Galpharm® capsule. Peptac taken. Unertongued the CBD.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morning View

I took a photo while making a brew of Thompsons Punjana.

Put away the medications. Keeping them away from the prescription ones that were on the desk.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Computerisationing

Sorted the photographs out and filed them. Then Facebook catching up. Next onto Health-Unlocked, on the Anticoagulation Hub. Wrote thanking some members who had corresponded with advice on my 'Not happening' Warfarin blood tests, etc.

Waste Bags Collated

Potatoes in Crockpot

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Fodder Checking

Had a look in the fridge and freezer to check the dates on the food. And make a little room in the freezer if I could. This is because Iceland sent me an email; they are short of some items and have made a few unwanted substitutions, especially with the bread, which will need any space I can make for freezing them.

No chance of making any room in the freezer, I don't think. But the fridge has space, but no fresh foods are being delivered. I mean 'Fresh!', from Iceland. Surely an oxymoron?

07:50hrs:

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

08:10hrs: Awaiting Morning Carer

I nipped out to the chute room with the waste bags. Got to the door and met the Carer coming in...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Carer Sharday

A new to me Carer. She knew what she was doing, though. A pretty young thing, and sociable with it. Got the medications sorted and spared me a few minutes for chinwagging. Bless her, she took the bags to the skip for me! ♥

I had a peep at the register to see what had been said about the visits. On yesterdays flash visit, it said the same as it did today.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Iceland Man Cometh

He put the bags in the doorway for me.

Gave him a can of pop in thanks, and I took the bags through to the kitchenette. Funny how there seemed more when I got them, with difficulty, into the kitchen?

Started to unload the carriers.

The waste bags purchased seemed to look different in size?

The frozen items showed a damaged packet of beef that they only had one left in stock for me. Maybe they had the one box left from the bottom of the fridge, and it had to be torn free? Hehe!

Got some of the cheeses that Josie likes while they were on offer.

I managed to get the bread and cobs into the freezer; it wasn't easy. I noted that my ordering two-for-a-pound rolls, which only had one of, was charged at 75p. Good old reliable Iceland!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

While I was unpacking and putting the fodder away, I kept hearing odd noises. Talking and clunking sounds?

Then as I was making up waste bags of the rubbish made doing this task, I realised why the noises were heard. The Intercom had stuck on again. It was the sounds of people coming and going that I heard! Hehe! I'm quick sometimes!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Waste Bags To The Chute

Hello, an obstruction!

Can't get through with the walker!

Not that it mattered this time, I'd only got two bags, and I carried them, using Metal Micky (Walking Stick).

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I Had a Wee-Wee

Not just a common or garden one, mind! This one followed the three earlier weak unwilling efforts; it was a marathon session! Had to empty and clean the emergency wee-wee bucket again!

Sister Jane Rang

We had a decent moaning, laughing, grumbling and reminiscing session. I gave my forecast for the Forest match and was spot on again. Oh, my EQ is good!

Made Sainsbury Order

For October 3rd, twixt 07>08:00 hrs.

Getting Weary Now

Nibbles Time!

I'm so tired, I'm feeling psychotomimetic! Well, I've just learnt the word. Haha!

Polish ham rolls (2), potatoes, garden peas, with BBQ sauce. A lemon mousse to round it off. Taste 7.2/10.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Head Down!

But sweet Morpheus was in no mood to let me rest. The Thought Storms kept attacking, and I seemed to find plenty of things to fret over without really being conscious of doing so?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Woke Up

Well, I didn't cause I never nodded off!

The ablutions needed tackling, and soon, the Carer will be due in about an hour or thereabouts. So, off to the wet room.

What a session this one was. Actually, apart from taking a tumble in the shower, it went perfectly well...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Things were going so well, I felt somewhat cocky,

No cuts shaving, so blood-saving,

Soon there would be a Whoopsie!

My EQ warned and told me,

But I ignored the trepidity,

Hit my head on the power box for electricity,

A crumpled mass fell to the floor,

Bruised and feeling a little sore,

Embarrassed, the Carer to call!

There I lay, not a pretty sight at all!

Struggling back up in my stupidity,

Wobbling with my lack of mobility,

Stubbed my toe, I cried momentarily!

That's not unusual or an abnormality.

Gritted my teeth and wrote this ditty!

Rang Sister Jane

To show off about my giving the correct forecast for the match. Jane was well unimpressed. Hehehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Carer Arrived

It was Valerie ♥. Greeted my, and handed two batteries for the door chime to me. Bless her cotton socks. I'd given her enough money for what they cost, so I told her to take what she needed from my money pot, apologised for not giving her enough cash in the first place.

Gave Valerie a bar of the Cadbury Caramilk Chocolate that I'd got for her, a new one this.

I've got one for Jenny to try as well; I must remember to take it for her tomorrow put it through her letterbox.

Got the battery in the pusher and tried it; it worked. Then enjoyed a natter with Valerie and thanked her again. ♥

Updating Blog

It took me until ell gone midnight to get it finished up to hear. Then I sent the Email link, and I went on Facebooking catch-up. Well done for now! Hehe!

Evening All!

Well, good Morning All!

Friday 24 September 2021

Friday 24th September 2021: Inchies Day, and sometimes the odd ode that might get slipped in!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Thursday Evening

Microwave BBQ cob, a soft Danish blue portion of cheese, the las orange flavoured marshmallow, and some balsamic salt & vinegar crisps. A tired old man's supper. Haha!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

FRIDAY 24th SEPTEMBER 2021

I Woke, checked the time, 05:10hrs, and carried on repeatedly waking every few minutes, pondering about getting up and nodding off again.

After many false starts, at 06:20hrs, the need of a wee-wee forced my hand, so's to speak. And I rose from lumpy, uncomfortable depths of the £300, second-hand bought, c1968, nauseously beige-coloured, not-working, rusty, rickety, difficile, nocturnal nibbling crumb-covered tatty recliner.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

ACCIFAUXPAS

The wee-wee was weak. As I turned with the bucket, to take it for emptying and sanitising, I lost my balance, due to the swollen feet, and was as lucky as I've been lately, and I have had some fortunate incidents the last few days; I managed to divert my elephantine stomached body into the swivel chair, as opposed to hitting the deck! Where I stayed a short while to regain my composure (such as it was).

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

STARTED POTTERING

Made a waste bag, cleared the pots from supper, and got some potatoes in the crock-pot on a low setting.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

PORCELAIN THRONE VISIT

The innards really fooled me this morning. I felt sure that this was going to be an evacuation under the control of Constipation Conrad; I got the crossword book out: I was wrong!

A sticky, gooey, steaming, stinky-poo dollop escaped into the bowl. It was the cleaning up that got to me. Or rather the length of time it took.

With a Carer due at any time, I had a heavy spraying around with the air freshener, just in case! Hehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

ON THE COMPUTER

I made a brew of Glengettie Gold and got on the computer. Got the photos uploaded and on file and heard a voice...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

MORNING CARER ARRIVED

It was Valerie. Who informed me that the door buzzer-chime was not working. We exchanged salutations.

While Valerie was preparing the medications, I had a look at the buzzer. A new battery was needed.

Valerie, kindly said she would try to get one in Sherwood for me. That was beyond her duties - Bless Her! ♥ Val took the old battery to compare it with any she found in the shops. I gave her £3 in hopes that that would be enough.

See? I told you I was in the middle of a good run of luck! Started yesterday with Natalie helping out.

Thank you muchly, Valerie ♥.

BLOGGING

I was doing this post, and I nipped into the kitchen to make a mug of Thompsons Punjana. Saw the odd hue outside, and I just had to take some snaps.

The shadows from the sun coming from behind the flats made an almost surreal aspect to the view, I thought.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

PORCELAIN THRONE VISIT

Number Two - A Bad One!

An even slimier, clammier, sludgier, messier evacuation this time. With a lot of bleeding found afterwards. Streaky blood in the TP - indicating that Harold Haemorrhoids outer piles were the culprit and very sore things in that department they were, too!

Medicationalisationing required. And I took a GalPharm® capsule.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

PRESSED ON WITH BLOGGING

Then visited the Comments section to see if Tim and Bill had 'wrote ote'. They had, I replied, and had another wee-wee.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

END CAR PARK SIT-REP

NO SIGNS OF ANY TELURIANS!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Oh, nearly down in the amber zone! Yes!

A little betterer results from today.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

NIBBLES TIMEE

Bacon and beans in black bean sauce. Slurp! 8.2/10!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

16:00hrs: Nodded Off

18:30hrs: Woke Up

Wee-wee - wash, Peptac taken, washed the trousers I was wearing. (I took them off first, mind you! Haha!)

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Carer Arrived

18:55hrs: No messing, in done, given a treat and shot off. Flash-Lightning!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Updated this blog. Emailed the link. Went on Facebooking. Caugt the last glimpse of the sunsetting. A rather sad picture for some reason to me?

SUDDENLY FROM KNOWHERE...

I was overcome with a dreich, disconcerted, discouraged, disheartened, downcast, demoralised, downhearted, despondent, disappointed, devitalised, desolate, downbeat, disgruntled, mentally drained, discontented, displeased, dithery, discommoded, discomposed, displeased, discountenanced, and into the darkness of depression!

No explaining why
