Greetings

Blogger was letting me add photos, so I made a start on this ode. Then updated the Thursday diary, sent it off. Perused, posted and commented on the Troll Free Zone and the Winwood Heights Facebook home pages.

Waking Thoughts, again...

Waited for the overnight thought-storms to wane,

Some were giving pleasure, the others pain,

I'm doing okay with my slimming campaign,

Fears, worries and self-recriminations, in the main,

Trying to decipher things was all in vain,

I was driving myself crazy, nonsane,

Nocturnal wee-wees, and a needed to go again,

Gawd awful painful, I thought I was passing grain!

Better check around after for errors in my domain!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

♫ Oh, what a Beautiful Morning ♫

Before doing the Health Checks and taking the medications, I made a brew of Thompsons Punjana. Lovely it was! I saw how beautiful the morning sky looked, so pictured it.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Blood Pressure Results!

All numbers were in the green zone! Grrreat! Which helped assuage and mitigate my frettings and worries. Yee-Haa!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Tablets were taken and onto the Computer.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ablutions Tended To!

And, what a mixed bag of happenings today!

I got in the wet room, and I started with the teeth cleaning. All went well!

The nasal clearing brought forth a bit of blood, but nowt to fret over too much.

Shaving... well, not a single nick or cut! Oh, Yes! It seemed for a few minutes, Nicodemus Neurotransmitters, Shaking Shaun, Dizzy Dennis and Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley, had all agreed to give me a break for once.

It was surreal! I felt in a state of incongruity... but boy, how I enjoyed it!

Naturally, the dropsies continued unabated, but you can't have everything, can you? Hehe!

The drying off went without any knock-overs or banging into anything at all! This was going so good and smoothly - it worried me!

Started the medicating off... and the ailments returned, and cause me some hassle... well, a lot of it! I'll tell yers about them;

I dropped the glass olive oil dropper bottle. Actually, a bit of good luck here; it didn't fall on my foot. And the plastic cap and glass break! Smug-Mode-Adopted! Not a wise move with my luck!

Little Inchies fungal lesion was bleeding a smidge. Bit of a job stopping it, the Daktacort® tube was dropsied. It took me ages to find the plastic cap afterwards. Still, I got it stopped in the end.

Then, the Phorpain® gel was applied to the knees.

.

The Saccades eye drops were spilt on my chin, belly and into the moustache. At least I did get some of it in the actual eyes this time. Humph!

I put some Germolene on a new painful tiny white spot, which was coming on the right heel?

Then spotted a new... whatever it is on the belly. I've not been giving myself any Anoxaparin injections with Warfarin. Yet it looked just like the marks they used to make?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Call from Medications Management!

A Gentleman from the Medication Management team called me. Matron Jackie had referred me to them, for checks on my taking the medications properly each time.

We chatted and I answered his questions.

He phoned back later, telling me that someone is calling on me today around midday, to discuss the needs and implementation. The plan is for 07:00 and 19:00hr checks daily. That'll ruin my sleeping pattern, but I'll get used to another easily enough?

I thanked him muchly, lovely to feel cared for, thank you, Matron Julie, have a great holiday! ♥

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Took a look at the local News Email

Not a lot on it today, well it was yesterdays.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Waste Bags to the Chute!

As I left the flat with the trolley and box, it felt suddenly cold? As I got through the lobby door, I could see why. The window had been left wide open again - Brrr!

Mayhaps, it is part of the airing to free the Corona Virus from the place?

Or, not.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Carer Suzanne Arrived! ♥

The lady arrived, let herself in, confusion reigned, and we went through my medical history.

A Q&A session, a form filled in,

She was kind to me,

I got confused within,

Left me a folder, near the waste bin.

Tablets all changed, I forget a lot,

Hard to keep the forecasted plot,

After a long time, off she shot,

A new system, worries me, somewhat,

The brain was now full of tommyrot!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Amazon Man is due...

Went down to meet the Amazon man in the foyer, to collect the parcel.

Back up to the flat, mind in a muddle.

I fear these changes will leave the brain puddled?

The Behemoth's Rising!

The beasty bellied bugger, all alone,

Rose, and limped to the Porcelain Throne,

Hauling my body, like soft mascarpone,

On grab bar, I hit my shoulder bone!

Swore worse than Bugsy Malone,

The pain was bad, fire & brimstone,

I turned into a tenor, not a baritone,

Gooey, messy, I didn't half groan!

Not bad for an ageing Virgoan!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

HEATH CHECKS CHECKED

A bad one today, Oh, dearie me,

This caused a feeling of ambiguity,

The pulse is growing aggressively,

Causing mental-mind anfractuosity,

Body temperature is running free!

Why is this happening to me?

Ah, well, I'll make a mug of Glengettie!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Picturing while making the brew.

An eerie shot I did view,

But better than I usually do,

Hello, another Throne visit is due,

Worse than the last one, messier too,

Off to the wet room, I flew,

Well, hobbled, flew's not true!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ablutions tended to smartly...

Some bleeding took place,

Shaving my face,

Eye drops in, felt like mace,

And stubbed my toe,

But the feet & legs,

To myself, I'm a menace!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

AMAZON TEAS DUE TODAY

Glengettie and Thompsons due today,

Looked on the tracker, how far away,

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Sainsbury Order Arrives

The belated order came, a decent sort of chap the delivery driver put the things in the box for me. But my EQ told me that things were not going to be acceptable! He knew that the order that was to be delivered yesterday wasn't - was going to be stuck in a fridge over the day and night. Without anything being checked for sell-by dates! He was right!

The garden peas had today's use-by date on them! I reshaped the best unpasteurised French, expensive butter block back into shape.

The milk roll loaf had also got today as a use-by today date! What is Sainsbury's advert again? "Live well for less"? Humph!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

CROCKPOT UTILISED

Got the potatoes in the crockpot and seasoned.

I added the one day use-by dated J Sainsbury's garden peas later.

- - - - - - - - - - - - -

HRISTINA ARRIVED

After over a year, my precious beloved Vampire Warfarin nurse Hristina arrived to take my blood sample for me.

I cringingly apologised for not being in yesterday for her visit. She was very nice about it to me. This made me cheerier! ♥

A little chinwag and catch-up were had while she took my haemoglobin to test. Bless her!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

MATRON JACKIE ARRIVED!

By gum, I'm doing well today.

Jackie gave me a lot of care and sorted out some more help on this visit, Bless her ♥.

She's suggested I try a service where someone calls morning and night on me. To make sure that I've taken the correct medications.

She checked on the BP results on the health checks, and Matron thought they were okay.

Then she spoke with the chemist to ensure the prescription would arrive on time before the last two days I have in stock ran out. They asked at first for me to go to collect them... again! After Julie spoke further with them, they said they would deliver them on Saturday. Thanks, Matron Jackie! ♥

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

WENT ON FACEBOOKING

But getting tired now - Poor of thing!

NOSH PREPARED

I got the nosh sorted out and served-up, earlier than usual, but with the Amazon coming so late with the teas and trays, I thought it best to eat now. A check on the tracker again showed that they were still at the same place en route?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

A leaflet came through the door

It was from lying, snotty, overpriced SpecSavers about new hearing aids. Huh!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

On to CorelDrawing

Then the Amazon man cometh.

I took a photo of the Glengettie and Thompson's Punjana tea bags...

"Unexpected Error Occurred' - Try again later!

So I did, eight times in an hour... Nope!

Gave up! Tried again in the morning, Gorrit!

Good evening!

Woke and had a wee-wee,

Then, to the Porcelain Throne, you see,

It was messy again, but bleeding free,

Washed, the kettle on, and made a Glengettie.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Health Checking Done

Not so good today,
Not by a long way,
BP shot up; I hope it doesn't stay?
The Pulse at 91 got carried away,
A worrying start to Wednesday,
Off to make a brew, I hit my knee on the doorway!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

    Whoopsiedangleplop!

The quilt on the computer swivel chair felt a tad uncomfortable. So, I shook it all about and placed it back over the seat, lumps levelled, and all looked okay... until I sat down when I got the mini Neuropathic Pete’s adventitious right leg Schuhplattler drop-something and flail-about dance. Just as I placed my over-bellied body mass on the cushion... It really should have been recorded; This would definitely have been a suitable clip for the 'You've been Framed' programme!

I slid off, cunningly avoiding hitting my knees on the cabinet, rear end on the hard cushion edge, and 'Thud'. I landed on my rump, with Harold's poor Haemorrhoids taking the brunt!

Germoloid and an extra Codeine 60g were utilised. The piles took a while to stop bleeding. But it didn't bother me...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Bootiful!

I took the medications back to the cabinet, and within perhaps ten-minute, as I cleaned things up, I took these four photographs of the morning sky... Amazing changes!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Cheering up a Smidge?.

It didn't last long...

I had a natter with my flat-mates!

After making the mug of Glengettie, I took this photograph of the car park below.

It seemed like a good idea, and of course, to keep my mate, for (MLitt) The Master of Letters, AAB: Associate of Applied Business, ASPT-APT: Academic Educationalist in Physical Therapy, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Master of Computational Finance, Master of Science in Teaching (MST), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Associate Professor of the OSRCMA Ohio Red Car Monitoring Assessment (Financial Donations Accepted), Billum, to peruse at his leisure.

Grafting Away

I got the updating done and the blog sent of for yesterday. I sorted the photos to date and made an Amazon order up - it had to be done; I am desperately short on Glengettie and Thompsons Punjana tea bags!

Got the Ablutions sorted out in time to be ready for the Sainsbury order to arrive. Made a brew of Co-op 99 tea and got on with starting and updating this blog... Oh, yes!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Whoopsiedangleplop!.

The landline burst forth, and a lady with a Scottish accent spoke with me. But it was farcical, to say the least; I could hardly make out anything she was saying; it was challenging to understand her.

After about ten minutes of my asking her to speak slower, she did, momentarily. When she said something about booked for today... I thought it was the chiropodist ringing. I was too confused and thick in the head to work out what it was at this time... I checked on the calendar, and it was booked for next Friday... and told her...

Then we both realised we talking at crossed purposes. It was a lady from J Sainsbury, telling me the reason why they cannot deliver today! Of course, she had to say it to me at least five times, but I still didn't understand why they could not distribute the goods today!

After a long time on the telephone and the ladies talking back to babbling on too fast for my ears to catch things. Tomorrow was mentioned and heard! So, I assume that today's delivery will be delivered in the morning instead? Phew! Hard work that was!

I hope they do not put my order in a fridge and not send fresh bread, vegetables and milk, in the morning - but the odds are they will, of course. A van or fridge unit broke down once before, and they threw my order in a shop store fridge and delivered it later. The ice cream had melted, the butter ran into everything else, and the bread was stale...

Oh, dear, I'm fretting now!

Farcical Shopping Again!

I went to Sherwood, bus both ways today. To get some of the sausages that the Azan shop manager told me on Monday would be arriving yesterday. Also, the Co-op man told the porkies would have some more Jersey potatoes in stock. So, full of hopes and a pang of growing hunger, I got the recycling bag in hand and took the waste ones to the chute room.

I got down and to the bin, deposited the bags, and hobbled to the bus stop. No sitting down there, as usual: I didn't want the knees to stiffen any more than they were.

I took a photo of the courts as I waited. Chrissie and May were there to tell me off, I can't really remember now what about, but I'm sure there were a couple of things. Hehehe!

The bus arrived, and we were soon getting off at the bottom of Winchester Street. I made my way to the Ozan store. To find that the sausages had not been delivered yet. Humph!

I got conned into buying some other sausages, frankfurters I think, and some mini chicken ones. White baps, Popkek lemon cakes, and some more of the pork slices.

I went up the hill, noticing that the Escooter were now on both sides of Mansfield Road.

I called into the Co-op store, but just bought some fresh orange juice, the potatoes were crap, and they didn't have any cream cakes or leeks in stock. Hey-Ho! Up to the bus stop after checking just in case the top charity shop had any bone-China mugs in - Nope!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

On the bus and soon home!

I called in to see Deans, and she kindly rang the surgery for me to re-arrange the Warfarin blood test for me. It's for tomorrow sometime.

The receptionist told her if I can get out, while am I not going to the surgery for blood tests? Inchie in trouble again! Feeling down again then! Thanked Deana, and made my way to the flat.

Noticing the new bench between Woodthorpe and Winwood courts.

.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got in and put the few purchases away.

Then checked the receipt from the Ozan store. The five items had cost me nearly eight quid? I investigated! Well, the sausages that the bloke conned me into buying almost £4, so fair enough.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Food calls to me!

I spent hours updating this post, up to here. But the weariness was with me, so I packed up, it was well past my head downtime anyway.

I seem to have lost the notes for what happened after this.

But somehow I got in seven hours sleep!!! I think...

Tuesday 25th May 2021

Bulgarian: Вторник, 25 май 2021 г.

Woke at 01:30hrs, off to the Porcelain Throne,

Limping like a damaged drone,

Cathy Cartilage hurting the knee bone,

The evacuation made me groan!

Painful, bloody, sorry about the tone,

But such agony is not mine alone,

Hello, it's ringing - the phone?

---------------

Being up early, I didn't expect a call,

Struggled to the landline, it was a trying haul,

A schemer, conniver, or scammer at all?

A recorded message, the very gall,

Cheek and nerve of the scumball!.

---------------

Got the Health Checks prepped,

I expected the figures to be suscept,

Except, they were fine, to accept,

All in the green, not a single suscept!

---------------

There were many urgent wee-wees,

I suppose I should drink fewer teas?

And ease the fluid-retaining knees?

Eat fewer ice-creams and toffees?.

I might get thinner than the Telly-tubbies?

Then I can go out on some soirees,

Or do other impossibilities?

Hehehe!.

---------------

Just look at them handsome plates of meat!

---------------

Local Corona Figures

Had a Hobble into Sherwood

Got the ablutions sorted, dressed, and spent an hour or so, forgetting things needed and treble checking the flat before leaving.

I took the bins bags to the chute and the recycling bags down and out to the bin area. Not an easy task. Robert took them off of me and said he would save the big box for me to use again and collect later. Stout chap!

I started my hobble along Chestnut Walk.

The greenery smelt beautiful as the drizzle began to fall as I neared the turn onto Winchester Street. I got the brolly out, but it was no use; I had to give up; no way I could cope with the umbrella and trying to control the three-wheeler as I limped down the hill.

The rain started coming a little harder, so I accepted my fate and got wet with a certain acceptance that would not have been possible a few months ago?

A little further and wetter, down the hill, I noticed that there was yet another Escooter base at the corner of Doornock Avenue.

I got onto Mansfield Road, and I turned left going to the Oran Continental Food store. I'm hoping to get some cooked pork, small potatoes, and some more of the chicken sausage that I love.

Whoopsiedangleplop!

They had no sausages, the small potatoes were not worth buying. However, I did get some cooked pork that looked nice and tasty.

Paid, and out across the road, and called in two charity shops, hoping to get a delicate China mug.

Whoopsiedangleplop! No luck! In fact, at the Nottingham Hospice Shop, I couldn't get up the steep steps to get in!

Whoopsiedangleplop! I called into the bank to get some cash. Crossed over the road and into the Co-op to get some cakes - they had none in the fridges.

Whoopsiedangleplop! So, I called at the Bird's shop, got some cakes for the Wardens treat, and some wholemeal rolls, I only wanted two, but all they had was bags of six. Humph!

Whoopsiedangleplop! The rain got wetterer (Hahaha!). Into another charity shop, but they had no China mugs either.

To the bus stop, at the top of the hill. Met a couple of tenants and caught the bus back to the flats 15 minutes later. It was a bit of a messy shopping trip, Tsk! But, my vascular dementia stopped it from being too horrendous.

Caught the bus, and I was soon back the Winwood Heights, and I called to visit the Wardens with their treats. Deana let me through the barred passageway. I thank you!

Whoopsiedangleplop! I forgot to get the empty recycling box, so I went down again to collect it. What a clot!
---------------

Whoopsiedangleplop! Grade A!

Up and in the flat, and found a little note on the floor...

Grobblegrindingness! Blungletads! Grumbleclonknackers!... It was from Hristina, my beloved Vampire Nurse - Who I had forgotten was coming, despite her kindly ringing me to tell me, and me making a note on the pad of the date, and putting it in my calendar... Proof of my needing help with my vascular dementia!

I was disgusted with myself, ashamed and more than a little concerned!

Fear of my being moved into a care home bothered me, particularly after my experience of actually living in one after having the stroke.

Whoopsiedangleplop!

For the first time in a few days, I've now got depression again. I suppose I'd better get the nosh sorted out, but there is no enthusiasm lurking about.

Gawd! I despise myself!

Had I not made the cock-up with Hristina's visit, this might have been the best-tasting meal for months. But, I could not enjoy it - a sort of self-imposed penance?

---------------

Sadly...

I've learnt today. that self-hatred, disgust and unforgiving, severe self-tormenting ridicule go along with this blasted vascular dementure. One goes from an uncaring, impossible to be bothered with anything status to a deep depression in seconds.
