INCHIES DAY: Thursday 14th October 2021 + Ode To Coping

♥ Shopping break for our TFZers? ♥

THURSDAY 14th OCTOBER 2021

03:00hrs: I sprang awake, bounded out of the recliner, did fifty press-ups, finished the Telegraph crossword, sent...

Well, no, alright then:

0300hrs: I woke up feeling groggy, the innards rumbling threateningly, passed wind involuntarily, sensed the warm liquid from Little Inchies fungal lesion, and began to sink into a depression. But I was saved the ignominy by the need of a wee-wee.

Porcelain Throne

Off to the wet room to investigate the Little Inchies problem; I was secretly hoping the wet damp in the PP's front would be from PMD (Pre-Micturition-Dribbling) and not blood from the lesion. My hopes were not fulfilled!

As I pulled down the PPs, I felt the pain from the semi-dried blood crackling, but the most important goal was that I get on with the evacuation first; it was on its way... no stopping it!

Evacuation

Yee-Ha! As near-perfect performance as I've ever had! Smooth! No blood from the rear end, no pain or discomfort from releasing the solid chunky torpedo.

But, of course, now the agony of sorting out the lesion was required!

Nothing like a bout of self-imposed excruciating agony to wake one up in a morning! It took me half an hour of eeks, arghs, and naughty words used to get things cleaned up and medicated.

I think the stinging from the ointment delayed my recovery. Haha! I might not look it in this snap, but I felt a lot better when the medication was finished...

Health Checks Done

The blood pressure had edged up this morning. Now placing me back in the Hypertension Stage 2. And the pulse had jumped up again, to 102!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Computerisationing

No making a brew, straight onto the computer, got the photos sorted, and started updating yesterdays blog.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Just a few times in the hour
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ode Wrote

Created the Ode for Wednesday's blog. Checked things out posted it off to Blogger. Emailed the link and went on Winwood Heights and TFZer Facebooking pages. I got carried away a bit.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Five times in the hour

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne No. 2

Hell of a difference this time! Stinky, gooey, bloody and messy. Humph!

I think the swollenness in the feet is going down well. But, we'll see.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Made a Brew of Glengettie

But I didn't get to drink it.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morning Carer Arrived

It was Sobia who had come in and crept right up behind me and gave me a mild, minor heart attack. Hehehe! Sobia got the tablets sorted, asked me why I was not wearing my slippers. Asked me, "Anything else you want?" I realised that I must not answer that question. I was tempted, but humour is not her strong point, so I didn't. Har-har!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Just two in the hour

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Made Another Brew

Then started making a template for today's blog.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Washed Jacket

I moved the thick zip-up jacket from the sink into the wet room to continue drip drying. Not so warm this morning.

I later moved it to the stand-up clothes airer cause it didn't seem to want to be dried? I'll remember this when it needs washing again.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

View From the Balcony

Zoomed-in straight ahead, this shot of the refuse-lorry had to be taken three times before I managed to catch the amber flashing light. It was on The Rise.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

CorelDraw graphics Needed

It's another busy day! Slow going again.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Just four in the hour, no... five now.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Nosh Nibbled

Ready-made fresh meal, beef in black bean sauce. I added some potatoes and peppers, water chestnuts, with a splash of black bean sauce to the dish. Flavour: 8.8/10.

Carer Julia Arrived

Always a pleasure to have a visit from Julia. As she arrived, I was struggling to get the Phorpain rubbed into the ankles... within a minute, she'd got her gloves on and was down on her knees rubbing in the gel for me, marvellous above and beyond help that was well-appreciated!

Julia turned her attention to getting the medications sorted out and ensuring I didn't miss or drop any ♥.

We had a mini-natter about the door chime not working and how to get help fitting the new one. Who to ask? That is the question. The writing is so tiny, I can't hold the magnifying glass steady enough to use that.

I bade the girl farewell, a sadness dawned on me; ♫ When will I see her again ♫ singing in my heart. The loss of Jillie was too much. To lose Julia would add to my misery... The EQ warned me not to get too attached... the Thought Stormimg started; I have done without them.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Four in the hour.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got the Computer Back On

Computer Closed!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Head Down

Zzz!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Life is all a bit of a daze,

Although in many ways,

On the odd days...

Not an unpleasant haze,

Memories, gone aways,

Nasty ones they always stays?

Important ones turn into a maze,

Each plan made decays...

Not sometimes, but always!

Life seems worse on Sundays?

Thought-Storms, mental affrays,

No chance of rest, or a laze,

But I try to cope, always,

And I will, one of these days!

Inchies Day: Tuesday 5th October 2021

♥ TFZers In Paradise! ♥

TUESDAY 5th OCTOBER 2021

Morning!

03:00hrs: I rose wearily from the £300, second-hand, c1968, horrendously grungy coloured, eyesore of a haemorrhoid-testing, unfit-for-use, recliner. My mind was so confused, I had to work out what day it was and remember why I had to get up so early... there was a reason, I'm sure.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Wee-wee demanded

I think this one was the most reluctant to start flowing that I've had for years now. I ended the build-up and half-expected a torrential torrent to blast out.

But no! It dibbled unbelievably painfully and slowly, sprinkling away for several minutes of abject agony. Yet, still, there was a fair amount of PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling), which puzzled me a bit. Not that it mattered as I woke up woolly-headed and disorientated anyway.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

No going around in circles!

For the last three or four days, I've woken up in different frames of mind each day. The constant has been my meandering around starting jobs, jumping to another, then returning to the first task, off on another self-imposed mission... eventually not knowing what the hell I had been doing in the first place. But this morning, I made a brew and got on the computer to do the blog that Liberty-Global CEO Mike Fries, Virgin Media Internet that kept going down, ensured that I couldn't and had to give up trying. The Git!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Monday Blog Updated

It took me nearly four hours to get it all done and posted off to Blogger.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Facebooking... I thought!

But, Oh, no. Liberty-Global CEO Mike Fries made sure of that again, as...

Morning Carer Arrived

It was Sobia today. A Princess-like looking tall slim gal, the one who I think is a student, doing the caring part-time. She soon got the medications sorted and spared a couple of minutes for a natter. As she left, I thought she would take the waste bags to the chute for me, but the gal fooled me and didn't. Hahaha!

I started on Facebooking again...

Much better results today! I think my cyber-mate Ohio (Well, close) Bill's comments got through to the BP machine. Haha!

Went to get the Ablutions done

I meandered off the plan again. And washed the shirt from yesterday instead; I'm not sure why. I hung it in the wet room.

Then washed the dressing gown.

Nodded Off!

Woken up by Carer Julia

Soon got my medications sorted, and we had a jolly decent chinwagging session. Julia took two bags to the chute as she departed. Memory was a smidge vague on what we spoke about.

Soon Nodded Off

Then woke up, drifted back to sleep, shot awake - where am I? What time is it? - Nodded off again... woke with a start. Finally, I got off to join Sweet Morpheus, but still with several sudden short waking-ups? A good four hours or so.

SATURDAY 2nd OCTOBER 2021

Because I was well-drained very early yesterday, with the hobble out and aches and pains, I got my head down early last night. Thus, this morning...

I was up at 01:00hrs: (I know, but what can yer do?) No wee-wees were required. I got on intending to get on with the computer blogging catch-up duties.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

First, A Mug of Punjana!

The flat felt really cold? I opted to get the Health Checks done first.

Well, Crapsticks! BP was up yet again!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Blog Prepping

I did five hours on the computer, with slowly increasing needs for a wee-wee throughout this session.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Break for a Glengettie time!

I noticed that, to my surprise, the wristwatch was working again?

I put the watch to roughly the right time last afternoon. And blow-me, it was still going? So, I put it on... hello, Throne time...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne

A smidgeon was reluctant to start at first, but when it began, the oh, so chaotic evacuation was over in a minute. Left a heck of a mess to clean up, mind.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Saturday Blog Finished

It took me an hour or so. Got it posted to Blogger, Emailed the link, and got on with making a template for this one.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne Mark Two!

I was taking the gone cold mug of tea to the kitchen when the need for the Throne arose - swiftly followed by a panic attack! Dropped the cup and hastened ASAP to the wet room! I felt more than hear the gurgling from the innards.

A right kerfuffle getting through the wet room door, I think I accrued some more bruises on the shoulder and arm getting in.

Tore a button off of the trews in my haste to get the pants down in time...

I could sense the evacuation creeping out and doing it faster!

Splush, splash, splish, splodge... trickling noises, and the bowl was soon well filled - but I made it in time!

I was sat-sitting there, and a second-round in virtual liquid form arrived...

The mess made was atrocious. I sat a little longer without getting up, just in case sneak attack number three arrived, luckily it didn't. What a corroboree! Cleaning next...

I was so glad I made it in time! Ten minutes later, I'd done the cleaning up of the stinking, gooey mess and went to see if the mug had broken when I dropped it. Bit of good luck there; I couldn't see any breakage or cracks in the China mug that Jenny kindly gave me. Phew!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Started On This Template

The wee-weeing were still getting more frequent. Five minutes after this, I had another, then not a one for over two hours? Confusing innit?

Put the kettle on, and realised it was gone 08:00hrs, and no carer had called? Ah, but it is Saturday! A day, known for much absenteeism within the ranks of the Caring Industry. I've had two non-shows, eight late calls since August this year to date.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Onto Facebooking

That didn't last long. It felt like anything, and everything was trying to muck things up for me! Then, Meridian Care rang me. My Carer in wanting to get inside. I recommended that she press my flat number on the panel on the wall. The whoever it was that was ringing rang the Carer. Couldn't hear the intercom go off; I nipped out to see if anyone was coming up in a lift, nope.

Back to the flat and phoned them, suggesting that mayhaps the Carer was in the wrong block of flats. Told her it was the end one and gave her the names of each block. She phoned the Carer... Costing me a fortune all these calls... The Carer is on her way to the front door now! (She'd been in Winchester Court)

So, I got the dressing gown and shoes on and went down to the front lobby. The gal was just coming in.

I thought I recognised her pretty face...

When we got up to the flat, chatting en route, she said she remembers now; she's been once before. Solange is her name.

Got the medications sorted out, and off she went. Poor thing is miles behind with her calls. Bade her farewell and thanked her.

Boxes opened, the rubbish collated into bags and got some fodder sorted.

Fodder Prepped & Consumed!

Too tired to make owt fancy. I got the potatoes, microwaved two beefburgers and cheese, and ate them as fillings for the sourdough bread with tomatoes. BBQ sauce added. Flavour Rating: 8.8/10. Lip-smackingly Good!

Woke Up in Need of a Wee-Wee!

Had a Marathon session, during which I thought I must have got up while sleeping and used the Wee-wee Bucket several times; it was so full?

Gave it a good cleaning and sanitising, put the kettle on, and started to fill the bucket again? What?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Checked The Deliveries

The new watch, spare straps, and strap fitted to the broken one on an old watch. (The one that yesterday mysteriously started working again).

I'd gone from having no working wristwatches; to three in a day. Hahaha!

All three are nice and clear to read. Not that I can when Saccades is playing up, but at all other times, the three of them cost less than £18... mind you, I've had to get batteries and straps as well. I got a pack of six cheapo push through replacement straps today as well. The old watch on the wrist had one on it.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Washed the Shirt

I whipped off the shirt and got it washed, rinsed, rung and hung above the sink to drip dry. Had another wee-wee.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Caller Came

It was Valerie tonight. She kept getting calls on her mobile as she sorted the medications out, and I finished clearing up in the kitchen. I wondered if someone else had cried off of work, and Valerie was being asked to cover for them?

I was moderately in with-it mode after the sleep, so I remembered to check to see if the Warfarin dosages were the same as on the INR sheet. Val said they were. I bade the gal farwell. Had another wee-wee?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
