SATURDAY 2nd OCTOBER 2021

Because I was well-drained very early yesterday, with the hobble out and aches and pains, I got my head down early last night. Thus, this morning...

I was up at 01:00hrs: (I know, but what can yer do?) No wee-wees were required. I got on intending to get on with the computer blogging catch-up duties.

First, A Mug of Punjana!

The flat felt really cold? I opted to get the Health Checks done first.

Well, Crapsticks! BP was up yet again!

Blog Prepping

I did five hours on the computer, with slowly increasing needs for a wee-wee throughout this session.

Break for a Glengettie time!

I noticed that, to my surprise, the wristwatch was working again?

I put the watch to roughly the right time last afternoon. And blow-me, it was still going? So, I put it on... hello, Throne time...

Porcelain Throne

A smidgeon was reluctant to start at first, but when it began, the oh, so chaotic evacuation was over in a minute. Left a heck of a mess to clean up, mind.

Saturday Blog Finished

It took me an hour or so. Got it posted to Blogger, Emailed the link, and got on with making a template for this one.

Porcelain Throne Mark Two!

I was taking the gone cold mug of tea to the kitchen when the need for the Throne arose - swiftly followed by a panic attack! Dropped the cup and hastened ASAP to the wet room! I felt more than hear the gurgling from the innards.

A right kerfuffle getting through the wet room door, I think I accrued some more bruises on the shoulder and arm getting in.

Tore a button off of the trews in my haste to get the pants down in time...

I could sense the evacuation creeping out and doing it faster!

Splush, splash, splish, splodge... trickling noises, and the bowl was soon well filled - but I made it in time!

I was sat-sitting there, and a second-round in virtual liquid form arrived...

The mess made was atrocious. I sat a little longer without getting up, just in case sneak attack number three arrived, luckily it didn't. What a corroboree! Cleaning next...

I was so glad I made it in time! Ten minutes later, I'd done the cleaning up of the stinking, gooey mess and went to see if the mug had broken when I dropped it. Bit of good luck there; I couldn't see any breakage or cracks in the China mug that Jenny kindly gave me. Phew!

Started On This Template

The wee-weeing were still getting more frequent. Five minutes after this, I had another, then not a one for over two hours? Confusing innit?

Put the kettle on, and realised it was gone 08:00hrs, and no carer had called? Ah, but it is Saturday! A day, known for much absenteeism within the ranks of the Caring Industry. I've had two non-shows, eight late calls since August this year to date.

Onto Facebooking

That didn't last long. It felt like anything, and everything was trying to muck things up for me! Then, Meridian Care rang me. My Carer in wanting to get inside. I recommended that she press my flat number on the panel on the wall. The whoever it was that was ringing rang the Carer. Couldn't hear the intercom go off; I nipped out to see if anyone was coming up in a lift, nope.

Back to the flat and phoned them, suggesting that mayhaps the Carer was in the wrong block of flats. Told her it was the end one and gave her the names of each block. She phoned the Carer... Costing me a fortune all these calls... The Carer is on her way to the front door now! (She'd been in Winchester Court)

So, I got the dressing gown and shoes on and went down to the front lobby. The gal was just coming in.

I thought I recognised her pretty face...

When we got up to the flat, chatting en route, she said she remembers now; she's been once before. Solange is her name.

Got the medications sorted out, and off she went. Poor thing is miles behind with her calls. Bade her farewell and thanked her.

Fourth go at Facebooking. Fed-up with this! Still, the wee-wees are increasing now I've had the belated Furesomide.

Fodder Prepped & Consumed!

Too tired to make owt fancy. I got the potatoes, microwaved two beefburgers and cheese, and ate them as fillings for the sourdough bread with tomatoes. BBQ sauce added. Flavour Rating: 8.8/10. Lip-smackingly Good!

Woke Up in Need of a Wee-Wee!

Had a Marathon session, during which I thought I must have got up while sleeping and used the Wee-wee Bucket several times; it was so full?

Gave it a good cleaning and sanitising, put the kettle on, and started to fill the bucket again? What?

Checked The Deliveries

The new watch, spare straps, and strap fitted to the broken one on an old watch. (The one that yesterday mysteriously started working again).

I'd gone from having no working wristwatches; to three in a day. Hahaha!

All three are nice and clear to read. Not that I can when Saccades is playing up, but at all other times, the three of them cost less than £18... mind you, I've had to get batteries and straps as well. I got a pack of six cheapo push through replacement straps today as well. The old watch on the wrist had one on it.

Washed the Shirt

I whipped off the shirt and got it washed, rinsed, rung and hung above the sink to drip dry. Had another wee-wee.

Evening Caller Came

It was Valerie tonight. She kept getting calls on her mobile as she sorted the medications out, and I finished clearing up in the kitchen. I wondered if someone else had cried off of work, and Valerie was being asked to cover for them?

I was moderately in with-it mode after the sleep, so I remembered to check to see if the Warfarin dosages were the same as on the INR sheet. Val said they were. I bade the gal farwell. Had another wee-wee?

I got excited too soon!

  1. Poor gal had a rough time finding you. Solange? Interesting name. Poor Valarie and her mobile all chimed up on her. It looks like you are well timed with all those watches.

    1. Even later today, Tim. Another new gal, to me anyway, three hours late... ready for her name... Shania! A pretty little thing, sociable and patient. She didn't want to adopt a Grandad, I asked her... Hehehe! Shame, cause she liked a natter. ♥

    4. Had take the last comment off, Tim, a spelling mistake missed that could have been misinterpreted, methinks, I'll try again mate...
Morning Tim, a lovely gal indeed, with chin-waggable tendencies, a precious asset that! Today's carer just been to scare me... I mean give me the medications. I gave her the new mop and bucket. I got several injuries when using it last night for the first and last time. While I was showing it to Julie, the mop stem fell off, the drying clip-on fell off, and the pad did the same. Hahaha! Peripheral Pete can't cope with using it - I'll have to get another traditional one methinks. Humph! TTFNski to all, Sir.

  2. We again fank yer for the socialising recently enjoyed at yer Woodthorpe country home and manor, where a butler is needed for the butler, and a full staff on hand at our beck and call 24/7. A fine time was enjoyed by all.
Wot the...BP machine must be kaput or the equivalent. Yaarghs and staarghs!
Good of good-old Valerie to show up and work at the matters wot must be arranged before Sadday (Sunday) arrives. Hold on, it appears that Sadday has already begun. We're still four hours away from that fell event. Wishing yer a good day with fewer Herberts and helpful carers.

  3. Mud Gorning, Madam and Sire.
Sadday is drawing to a close, after the busiest, cock-ups, Accifauxpa and Whoopsoedangleplop days - Ever! I am not pleased with how things have gone. Herberts is still banging away, the wee-wee count must be a record, and one of the watches has packed up again. Oh, two stubbed toes as well. Forgive my lack of ribaldry, I am pee'd off and shatteringly tired already. Not good. Then again, lets get it all on one day, hey? Montag might be betterer? Haha! Cheers each. ♥
