Sunday 29th August 2021: Inchies Diary, and sometimes the odd ode, that might be told?

Saturday Evening

Twice!

SUNDAY 29th AUGUST 2021

Good Morning!

Up & At Them 05:55hrs: Slowly, the brain engaged gear, a low one, but enough to fight the Thought Storms off. The result, self-determination to get some sorting done for the decluttering! Druthers like never before! I rose with a mental tunnel vision. Nothing else mattered; I just had to get one with sorting things again!

Health Checks - Brilliant!

I got the Health Checks done and dusted first, before my (ill-fated) attack on the decluttering session.

These results foolishly encouraged me to put some zip into my sorting-out efforts.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Started Decluttering Again!

A wee-wee and I took a giant dollop-load of CBD under the tongue.

No washing, no tea, all my intentions were concentrated on getting some work done. No signs of weakening yet!

I don't know how I managed it, but I got the new microwave from the hallway into the kitchen. Put it on the bottom of the server trolley, which will need sorting later, finding or rather, making room for it somewhere. How? I don't know.

I had a go at sorting the first drawer of crap out - this photo is after I'd done it!

Then naturally, I lost the plot and plan for myself and started doing bits here and everywhere. Nowt much completed.

Into the junk room, got a bit sorted and saved for Jillie ♥ to take away and might find a use for, or go to the Winwood table.

Another box of records was found. Jillie ♥ can have these as a thank you for all the help she's given me!

The rubbish box was now filled to overcapacity. Anyway, I wasn't dressed yet, still in the jammie-bottoms! Too early to take it to the chute yet.

Moved some of the stuff to near the naked looking walker-trolley. Then, back to the junk room...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Accifauxpas!

I tried to lift the bag of coins. Whatta-mistaka-to-maker! I went down, scraping the arm against the door frame. I assume the bag's weight made it more pressurised, and I think I hit my head, although I can't see any bruises?

That put the mockers on my enthusiasm for decluttering for the day! Hoggleshackers!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -.

Photo of the end Car Park

Just two vehicles in it this morning.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Went to Make a Brew

Made a brew of Thompsons Punjana, went to get the milk from the fridge, cropped the bottle, went to get the picker-upperer, and delight dawned on me...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morning Carer Arrived

It was Carer Jill ♥ (I must remind her to let me take a photograph of her!).

No messing about with this Angel. She told me to sit down, put the milk in the tea, and brought it to me as I started this computer... What an absolute pleasure it is to see Jillie arriving! ♥.

Jillie got the medications sorted and the questions asked. Then said she would return later to collect the boxes. To look at setting up the microwave for me ♥.

Then gave me a birthday card for yesterday, and what a pleasing one it was, too!

She'd had it signed by some of the other carers too. Signed by Jill & Eugene (Hubby) and Carers, Carol, Kara, Natalie, Katie, Debbie and Sam(antha). Unexpected this was, cheered me up it did, and it took top-spot in front of the TV for anyone to see. If anyone calls to see me, Haha)

Lansoprazole Side Affects

Clearing the bin, I came across the leaflet from the Lansoprazole capsules. Blimey, I'll live long enough to read all that, then I'd need a new magnifying glass. Hehehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Crikey, it's gone Midday already!

I got on with updating this post.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Well, well, well!

So, £22m a year plus expenses, money-cruncher Steve Fries strikes again! IU wouldn't recommend his Virgin Media. I may have mentioned this before?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got On With Josies Nosh

I was on time yet again as I delivered the tray of nosh and goodies to Josie's door.

She was on fine form this Sunday.

Me wearing the chef's hat gave her a laugh. Hahaha!  Josie made inquiries as to what I've put it the chilli today; she liked the extra mushrooms and was tickled with the can of Gordon's pink gin & tonic.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Prepped my Nosh for later

I added to the leftovers from Josies in the saucepan; A can of 'Original American Recipe', 'Stagg Dynamite©' Chilli! Added a little more (obviously without thinking it through), smoke chilli powder!

Tried a large spoonful - I must have come close to hitting the lamp bulb as I was so surprised at how hot it was! How can I tone the chilli down? Or should I be a man and eat it as it is? Undetermined!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Cleaned Up

Washed and cleaned the kitchen from making Jose's nosh. Turned off the pan of chilli; it will be easy to reheat later.

Iceland Order

I crossed my fingers and hoped to get through to make an order with Iceland - the odds are fifty-fifty. Here goes... Wed 1st September, 08:00 > 10:00hrs.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Jillie Returns ♥

The Angel took away some more stuff for me. She will try to get back to see me on Monday - BANK HOLIDAY TOO - What a woman! ♥

Shattered Got something to eat

Done in suddenly, tired, weary.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Made the chilli

Not too bad an effort. Gave it 7.5/10 for Taste-Rating, it was a little too hot for me, but still.

Slow work, due to the brain not really being interested.

Evening Carer Arrived

Carer Jayne. Medications sorted. Mini-natter, and off on her rounds.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -.

Finished Blog, Facebooking, and head down in search of Sweet Morpheus. He was most reluctant!

Life can be confusing, misleading and abstract,

Leaving one baffled, hurt, hazy and shellacked,

Do wrong at school, got the cane and thwacked,

I've lost count of the times I've been sacked,

Nowadays, you just don't how to interact,

I spoke at the Chapel and got barracked!

Thought-Storms in my head, jampacked!

Have my grey cells died or been hijacked?

In the old days, I used to get swacked,

Now, I get myself well and truly Prozacked,

I feel better then; that's a fact!

Inchies Day: Thursday 24th - June 2021: Graphics, Photographicalisations & the odd Ode

TFZer In Training?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ode, To Vascular Dementia!

This Crap Was Produced in Support of the VDer's Association, Nottingham Branch. Verbal & Financial Support Accepted & Welcomed!

Those with Vascular Dementia, usually in the old,

Still have standards to maintain and uphold,

Sanity & memory must not get a foothold,

Or there will be complications, unforetold,

For you cannot buy your brain, a retention remould,

Expect decay in your mental manifold,

Naturally, this will never be resolved,

And for your logic, to leak and get mould,

Don't expect to be understood or consoled,

Your contentment will be circumvolved,

Commonsense will become uninvolved,

Circumstances, panics will be intervolved,

Frustrations will take a stranglehold,

So there, beware, for you've been told!

The Awakening

Cometh the day, and More challenges!

0450hrs: Woke, wee-wee'd, wobbled to make a brew, and the Health Checks to do!

Back to another good one! Very pleased!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Flapped About From One Job To Another

No much idea why or what I was doing for the first hour or so. Yet seem to have got a lot of daily tasks done while in a haze?

Porcelain Throne visit, tea made, on the computer and many wee-wees taken, but less than yesterday morning, I think.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Went on Facebook Catch-Up

As I was on the TFZer site, I rose to go to the WC, stubbing my toe on the swivel chair wheel. There was nothing unusual there, but the brain seemed to come back to a slightly more responsive mode? No idea how or why, but I welcomed the improvement gratefully!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

07:40hrs Still Awaiting Carer

It might be Nicola who is coming. If so, I expect she is to collect the prescriptions for me, and I anticipate a late call... But we'll see

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Pottered About Getting mixed Up Again

Made up some waste bags, cleaned and disinfected the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket). Which reminded me, I am not having any PMD (Pre-Micturition-Dribbling) or PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling) at all... up to now! You don't know how pleasant it is.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Morning Carer Arrived - Natalie!

She was very late, 08:45hrs. No moaning from me after all the extra help that she's given me. Bless Her! She returned the 50-minute Sever Frailty Revue paperwork for me - I thought I'd lost it! A pleasant gal with it and remains patient if I start stuttering and memory blanking.

Natalie chatted while she sorted me out with the medications, so lovely to have a laugh with someone real. She said she would bring me the medications later on. Boy, what another Angel I have! She'd got it rearranged for me for July Friday 9th July, at midday.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Double Checks Things I need to Remember!

I went as methodically as I could through the instructions; Must take a Urine sample - Do Not arrive early; you will not be allowed to enter the building until your appointment time. That's going to be good; how do I know how long it will take me to walk to the surgery? Will Anne Gyna, Cathy Cartilage, Arthur Itis, Neuropathy Pete or Nicodemus's Neurptansmitters play up? Any one of which will slow my hobbling rate? - Do not bring anyone with you!

Still, it'll be nice to see the surgery and human beings again. Looking forward to going, but not particularly the test itself.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Did Some Graphicalisationing

Managed a few, well chuffed with that!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Intercom Flashed!

"Call from Kingston Court"

Just another of the mysteries of Winwood Heights. The ghosts, wraiths, spectres, cacodemons, apparitions and other grotesqueries that haunt the hallways and lobbies. In search of Inchie.

In their mission, to create ambiguities, abstrucities, perplexities, misfortunes and botherations, to scare, worry and confuse me!

I could read the sign in the intercom box picture, clearly printed Kingston Court.

I'm not sure if the worker heard me at all, but I spoke into the box: "You have got through to Woodthorpe Court in Sherwood!"
I think he might have been mending or putting up some bollards there..
Cause I thought I heard him saying, 'Oh, bollo...' Hehehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ablutions done

This was the latest session I've ever had. Unfortunately, due to my spending so long on graphicalisationing, it was needed, and then I only got a few done. (I may regret saying that!) Saccades Sandra's blurring vision didn't help, although Peripheral Pete played fair with me for once.

A good shave and teeth cleaning sessions, and the showering was amazingly Accifauxpas and Whoopsiedangleplop-free! Obviously, there were a few dropsies.

The problem came as I was taking a photo of how good the feet and ankles were looking...

A rare attack from Dizzy Dennis had me over, and I landed on Cathy Cartilages right knee. I must ask the Carer tonight for an extra Codeine. Tsk! I dabbed on the Phorpain Gel.

After I'd done that, a dizziness with a difference overcame me - possibly helped by my hitting my shoulder on the door frame as I left the wet room. I wasn't feeling very well then.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Handwashing Done

Oh, I am a good lad! Haha!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Nosh and a Rest Needed!

I decided to get the meal made and settle down to relax for a while. A simple nosh for a simple-minded old beyond-help Inchie!

I took a photo through the kitchenette window, and got the meal served up, washed the pots and climbed into the £300, second-hand, c1968, cringingly-beige-coloured, not-working, rickety, incommodious, grotty recliner to eat and hopefully, fall asleep.

The nosh went down well. 7.5/10!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

WHOOPSIEDANGLPLOP!

As battled up onto my feet to take the tray and plate for washing... Argh! The dreaded wet warm sensation of leaking from Little Inchies area was identified, a semi-panic commenced!

I expected it to be some  PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling), but Oh, flipping No! Presumably, the tumble in the wet room had started Little Inchies fungal lesion bleeding! Not good!

So, the always excruciating application of the Daktacort was needed. One of the only medications that I dread using... I'd honestly sooner use the Sock-Glide!

I got things sorted in a reasonable time, though, but the pain! Cragnangles!

I exchanged the PP's with one of the more expensive snugger-fitting ones. So they have more protection where I needed it. Hehe!

By the time I'd cleaned up and finished medicating, I was feeling well shattered. Maybe not shattered, more erm... No, shattered will do! And the Carer might arrive at any time. Plus, the waste bags needed making up and taking to the chute.

Waste Bags Sorted - Got Down In The Recliner

In search of Sweet Morpheus

But, no rest for the wicked!

Sleep seemed to come welcomingly quick enough... Then...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The lousy, nasty, cruel, smug, illegal, naughty sun-of-gun git of a scammer, the same one I think as last week, got short-thrift from me.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back Down Hoping For Sleep Again!

Not a cat-in-hells chance, of course. The day started so well it was now getting more and more bothersome and worrying!

It was someone from Meridian. Telling me the Carer was trying to get into the building and couldn't. (Broken Intercom - it's been like this for six weeks now!)

I told the caller that if the Care pressed 0000 on the panel, they would get the Control Room, who could let them in. Bt knowing the Amazon man's trouble had last week, I said I would get dressed and go down to the lobby anyway. I am good. Hehehe!

I fumbled and rushed to get down, only to find no one was at the door?

Back up in the lift, and rang Meridian back. I kept being put on music for a while. I was asked something or other, but I could not understand the recorded message... Then the flats door chimes rang out! It was the first time visit from the Carer gal.

I hailed the girl in, and her mobile rang as she entered, obviously her boss who I was talking to! Confusing, innit? Imagine how I felt.

The girl was apologetic, and it was a bit difficult hearing her, and she, me, as we both had facemasks on. Her accent was strong.

She introduced herself as Helena. A nice girl, a little nervous I think because she had gone to the wrong block of flats. Winchester Court instead of Woodthorpe. So many people do this, I told her not to worry about it.

She got the medications sorted out for me. And I thanked her, and off she trotted. ♥

Updating This Post, and I Finished it off

Being as sleep was again and no longer an option, I got on with updating this blog. It took me a few hours, but I pressed on.

Worra Day

An Ode To My Surviving It!

Full of hassle, worry and unlikelihood,

Started so very calm and good,

Herbert above, and I never thought he would,

Only gave a rare bang, clang and thud,

I even time for some chewing the cud,

The Accifauxpas, bruising and losing blood,

I should have expected it; I really should!

Plans proved to be each one a dud!

Bothers, could I cope? I could,

Worn out mentally, the mind full of mud!

Monday 14th June 2021: Graphics, Photographicalisations & the odd Ode

--
♥ TFZer Duo, just swanning around? Hehehe! ♥

My Meandering Mind's Thoughts - In Ode

Gone were the moods and feeling shirty,

I'd took my tablets and felt quite perky,

I've not felt this good since puberty,

But many wee-wees needed, at least thirty,

An Accifauxpas of incredible absurdity...

Stubbed my toe, with great ferocity,

Shook me up, my mind now showing animosity,

Back came the moods and my feeling shirty!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

UNDECIDED ABOUT THE FEET?

I woke up very late. But, at first glance at the pins and plates, they looked to be in virtually fine-fettle, to me. Not too painful either.

But upon moving the digits, I kicked off a Colin Cramps attack. A slight swelling on top of the left foot, but no pain at all with it? Looking good!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Health Checks Done

The NHS blood pressure result was pleasing. About the lowest, it's been, methinks? Still in the high red zone, though, but not by so much.

The wee-wee colour code was fair, too!

Smug-Mode Adopted! (Temporarily, of course)

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Watch strap still Needed

The old watch's broken strap has still to be replaced. I rather like the new watch, though. Despite the odd layout, I find it clearer to read.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got the Porcelain Throne & Ablutions Tackled

What with the feet being so much easier, and now this Porcelain Throne session going so well, I was beginning to get worried about what is to come later?

The ablutions were another semi-success. Cleaning the teeth set off the cracked tooth nerve, but that should get sorted out soon, I hope. Appointment on Wednesday this week. Dentist on Thursday. Iceland tomorrow!

Morning views

Got the kettle on, made a brew of Glengettie, and took these pictures of the beautiful but windy morning view.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Made a Start on this Blog

While awaiting the arrival of the new Meridian carer. I'm still worried about the medications (prescriptions) shortages, not much left!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Winwood Court Carer Nurse Katie Arrived

At nearly 08:30hrs, Winwood nurse Katie arrived. Soon had me sorted and was off back to Winwood. Nice gal. ♥

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Liberty-Global Virgin Down Again

Cragnangles - Blumux - Crap Service!

That's cocked up my best-laid plans!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Waste Bags Tended to - Mail Received

I made up three waste bags and added them to the four already in the box on the three-wheeled walker.

Two pieces of mail had come through the door (Above). I put them down on the microwave in the hallway, my not being particularly keen to find out what they were about.

Then, struggled out of the door and out through the lobby door. Then, along the elevator lobby and into the tiny rubbish chute room, deposited them and returned to the flat.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Phone Call - From The Dentist!

They were reminding me of the early appointment on Wednesday. Which made me panic a bit. You see, Nurse Katie arrived later than the council carers did and didn't leave until about 08:40hrs. This means, if the same thing is going to be regular timing, I will not have time to get to the dentist appointment on time on Wednesday! Duodenal Donald kicked off. Badly bothersome, too! Boo!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I Perused The Delivered Mail

The first one was another letter telling me to ring the surgery (after 11:00hrs) to book an appointment for the 40-minute Frailty Review. Non-fasting blood and health review. A follow-up telephone appointment to discuss the results will be made during the testing on the day.

Take a sample of Urine supplied on the day of the appointment with me. (I'm bound to remember that, ain't I?) Ah, well, fingers crossed.

I must not book the appointment if I a fever, new continuous cough, or lack of taste and or smell. That is why I didn't reply to the first letter.

'Do wear a facemask, and Do Not bring anyone with you to the surgery, unless a carer or interpreter.' Things like this used to be no problem, not nowadays though!

The second mail was the DVT Anrticoagulation Results & Dosages.

Panicking comes easily. A Shame that!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got The Chilli in the pan

I can add the potatoes from the crockpot later; no, I'll put them in the saucepan now

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Scotland v Czechoslovakia

Aha, football on the TV, I'll watch this Scotland match (they are already 2-0 down and having no luck at all, poor devils). The Czech goalie is too good!

Then, I'll take a shower, and settle for the next game, Poland v Slovakia. Later on, it's Spain v Sweden... I'm not bothered who wins this one, as long as it isn't Spain. Hehehe! Not that I have anything against the Spanish.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Fell Asleep

Started to watch the match and nodded off, the door chimes waking me up, and a Meridian Nurse coming in. She was not impressed with me being in semi-nudity! (Top-Half!)

WhoopsiedaNgleplop!

While the nurse was filling in the paperwork, it dawned on me that I'd left the Chilli and spuds in a low heat... many hours ago! Argh!

There were n
ot many juices left. Humph! The nurse ran in and turned the heat off! I mentioned the 09:15hr dental appointment I had on Wednesday, and I would be late getting there if the morning doses were at the same time as they were today. Not very interested, but I think she was busy. And off she went.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I Took a Shower

By Jiminee, the feet had changed a good bit.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Spain v Sweden Match - and Updating Blog

The later Spain v Sweden match came on TV, and I watched it piecemeal while updating this Inchies Day blog. However, I must give the Spanish diving players credit; they can even fall over without being touched and get a free-kick!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

20:25hrs: Half-Time Nosh - Whoopsiedangleplop

Gollupped it down, well, most of it. Not very good, but an indelicate, nicely burnt, bitter, cauterised, well-singed flavour to the potatoes.

I salvaged enough edible-ish fodder to nearly fill the small dish. Two defrosted for too long tough, dry, wrinkled wholemeal rolls to soak up the nonexistent, gooey Chilli Con Carne. Rescued two halves of potato, they were the highlight of the meal - cause as of up to now they haven't killed me. Hehehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got this blog finished and posted off.

Worra Blooming Day!
