FRIDAY 15th OCTOBER 2021

0310hrs: I stirred into mock life again; a wee-wee was desperately required. I escaped the warm entanglement I was in on the recliner, and fumbled my way onto my feet, and passed into the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), virtually, without any pain whatsoever? Aha, a good start, I thought! Until the almost scary, monumentally long CM (Cessational Micturitional) dribbling began.

I patiently waited until it was safe to put Little Inchy away.

ACCIFAUXPAS!

As I was fastening up the string on the pyjamas, Neuropathy Pete gave me a shaking; at the most inopportune time - and Little Inchies fungal lesion was tugged on - and the bleeding began! Argh!

To the wet room, cleaned up, and (shuddering at the memory) applied the Daktacort Cream® to the lesion.

This allowed me to try out one of the new cheaper PPs.

A gungy colour, and slightly bigger than the Tena brand ones. But they are comfortable enough at the moment... I'll see if they drop or droop later on. Haha!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

.

YABBERDABADOO!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne

A rough one this time! Smelly, sticky, gooey, bloody (Fungal lesion & Harold's Haemorrhoids), but at least the steaming, stinking dirty-great dollop evacuated, cleared at the first twist of the flusher. So not a complete disaster.

Checked on the feet. No wonder they were a smidgeon sore.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

To The Kitchenette

Got the mushrooms and potatoes prepared for use later. Did I lose the photo? Yes! Grungleturds!

Updating Yesterday's Blog

After a three hour stint at it, I felt mentally worn-out, drained. Poor old thing!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morning Carer Arrived

A new now to me, her name was Raksen Akter. Distinguished looking young gal, very tall. She got the medications ruled over, and she was soon ready for the off.

I offered her a choice of nibbles in thanks.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Finally Finished the Blog

Made a brew of Glengettie, has a wee-wee; they were not so persistent this morning. Not up to now anyway.

Checked, then posted the diary off to Blogger, Emailed the link on Gmail, and had a wee-wee. (Big mouth me, Huh!) went on Facebooking, having three wee-wees in the process, uncomfortable ones.

Template for Today

Got in a pickle and trying to sort it out, and Sister Jane rang. She's sent me a photo via email; of an old friend from our younger days, Chrissie Wright. She spoke about her, but the brain was struggling a little to grasp the conversation. I'm reasonably sure that she said Chrissie had taken a fall and had to have her hip put back into position... Ooh, that must have been horribly painful for her! I asked Jane to send me her Email address to write to her while she's not feeling very well. Here's the photo.

Here is an old photo I have of Janet, Chrissie and yours truly. Hehe! See? I did use to have hair. Hahaha!

Chrissie hasn't changed all that much. They brought back memories! ♥

Jane and rambled on, and I sent her a photo of the Ben's Black Bean Sauce.

Well gone Midday Now

So, time to get the ablutions and medicationalisationing sorted out. Off to the wet room, I hobbled. With the thoughts of having to treat the lesion, not making me feel too happy. Haha! Gone like a shot?

Ablutions Time

Stunning session!

No injuries of any worth, despite:

  • Dropping and breaking the nasal spray.
  • Falling and trod on and broke the Saccades dropper.
  • The shaving, only two dropsies, and one wee nick on the chin. (Don't worry, it's not affected my good looks!)
  • Broke the old toothbrush!
  • Clouted the elbow once, the shoulder, and pulled my back in the shower. (Sudden loss of balance, but no sooner out of the shower, it dissipated?)
  • The new cheap PPs did a good job holding in the blood from the fungal lesion, ace, at that price!

  • These PPs are easier to get into as well!

More good than bad by a long-chalk... I must find the time to look up where that saying came from!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I've Perked Up Now...

I got on with the household duties that I'd naughtily been avoiding.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Thick Quilt Washed

I've been using the quilt for months as a cover for the computer swivel chair; I decided it needed a good wash...

Whoopsiedangleplop

Well, alright, here comes the truth... I broke off four pieces of Cadbury whole nut chocolate from the fridge, and I took them with a mug of Thompsons Punjana to the computer. After I thought I'd eaten two pieces, I reached for the third... but there were no bits of chocolate on the dish?

Well, I thought, I can't remember eating them? Ten minutes later, I took the mug and washed it; when I returned to the swivel chair... the bits of chocolate were spread and melted all over the heavy quilt - I'd somehow made a right mess of it! I've no idea how I did that! What a plonker!

I took it off the swivel chair, put it in the kitchen sink to soak for a while, and returned to the front room...

ACCIFAUXPA!

I went into the trousers back pocket, to get the spare pencil, cause it seemed that I'd lost the first? And guess what?

The pencil was in the back pocket along with the spare one... I was losing it now!...

Along with the now moulded together missing lumps of chocolate!!!

Now the blue lounge trousers will also need washing! (Fed-up, now!)

It's going to be a right horrible job getting the trews clean. Some chocolate melted to almost liquid and dried. The others were semi-hard, soft and rock-hard bits on the seat of the trousers and in the pocket...

What the hell had I been doing to get into this mess? I'm sure as I can be nowadays that I hadn't nodded off... or was I?

Got the Quilt Washed

Then got the quilt in the wet room, draped over the shower chair and sock-glide, turned the heater on full, in a vain hope to get it dried within six months! That's going to b expensive! Yee Gods, it took me over an hour to just get them cleaned, making a mess as I went along that would need cleaning and sorting... Humph!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Trousers Done Next!

And what another farce this was!

WHOOPSIEDANGEPLOPS!

I broke the waistband button while giving it some while washing them. I got them wrung out as much as I could - but was semi-pleased with the way I spread them out on the hanger to dry above the sink...

WHOOPSIEDANGEPLOPS!

Afterwards, I stood there leaning on my stick, pondering how to tackle the wet floor and whether I should make a brew. And in almost slow motion, the trousers slipped off of the hanger, thus pre-wetting the kitchen floor for me to help with the mopping it?

By now, I'd lost the frustration feeling. And even smiled as the water dribbled down the cupboards onto the floor, no agitation now, just a form of resignation.

I swear I laughed out loud! What else could I do? Cry? Hahaha!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Kitchen Floor Mopped

I got the trouser rehung, and I cleaned the kitchen floor,

Over an hour - Ten.

Just What I Needed!

Can't Read My Notes

My scribble is getting worse, I think.

Any idea what the word or words are in the circle, please?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

New Door Chime Fitted!

Yes, really, & it's working!

The instructions were too small to read. However, I bought all my engineering, electrical and mechanical skills to the fore and cunningly mastered setting up the door chime, all on my own, without any help, and did not drop or damage anything in the process either. This should be s Super-Smug-Moment for me, and pride oozing through my blood-clotted veins...

But to be honest, it was easy peasy. No batteries, double-sided pad provided, and setting the sound and volume was just like with the old one that croaked on me. I can't claim anything skill-wise. Shame!

I did get a kick out of it working the first time I tried it, though. I selected the loudest volume and tune I could find. 'Oh, Susanna' reminded me of the 1958 Pete Seegers song (I looked up the name).

Worra Day Up To Now.

Absolutely an up and down day today. Mistakes, errors, and many erratic mood swings; Worra Day! Good luck, heartwarming chinwags, Accidauxpas, Whoopsiedangleplops, Memory blanks, Fungal lesion agony.

Anything else to happen? Haha!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Carer

Who Rang The Door Chime!

It was the caring carer, Kara!

Got meds sorted and found time for a decent nattering session and laugh! ♥

She liked the new door chime! And, she voluntarily took the waste bags to the chute for me on her way out. ♥

Thanks, Kara!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Hang on a Minute...

I've not anything to eat!

Off to the kitchen to tend to the well- overcooked mushrooms and potatoes. Started making plans to create a plate of nosh, and...

THE FIRE ALARM SOUNDED

It only went off for about a minute. So I donned my Sherlock Holmesian hat and investigated; through the kitchen window with the Canon camera.

I'm not sure how I managed to take two pictures, but still.

I explained the noise to Teddy and Koala. In case they had woke in a panic. Haha!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Onto the Balcony

I took a photo of the evening sky (22:38hrs), beautiful, I thought.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

No Nosh Made Yet

I decided, it's been such a  long, busy day of ups and downs, incidents, etcetera, that I'd better get this blog finished off while I'm still awake enough. Made a brew and took it to the computer...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

ACCIFAUXPAS!

I gave myself a decent quality toe-stubbing against the swivel chair leg.

The plates seem to be getting some colour in them tonight? Or was it the camera and or maybe the lighting?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

 Change of Plans Again

I made an order for next week from J Sainsbury's - and came across a section where you can select allow substitutes or not for each item. At last!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Finished this Blog

Sent it to Blogger. Emailed the link. Went of Facebooking - sent photos of the fire engines to the Winwood Heights site. And sorted out some fodder at long last.

Thursday 30th September 2021: Inchies Day, and sometimes the odd ode that might get slipped in!

💖A twinking Smile - that'll do!💖

THURSDAY 30th SEPTEMBER 2021

05:00hrs: Returned to imitation life and realised how late it was. Great balls of fire... I've slept for over five hours of unbroken rest in the hands of Sweet Morpheus! Whoo!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ponderisationing Period

The brain stuttered into action (of sorts), and I pondered what I needed to remember for future activities and duties.

Today, the INR Nurse, who I was told would not be calling again, and I'll have to go to the Surgery for the blood test... (Who arrived to take my sample of blood later!). I must not take a Furesomide, as I planned to go to town today.

(This failed to happen because I took the Furesomide anyway, so I dared not go out, where they would be no wee-weeing facilities. Tsk!)

Foot lady-gal in Winwood visit tomorrow.

I got no; further, I needed a wee-wee.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

What a Wee-Wee T'was!

Considering that the bladder capacity had been reduced by third in the cancer operation, just how it held as much as it did, is a mystery to me! It was so heavy that when I took it to the wet room for emptying and sanitising, I very nearly dropped it, so full!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ablutions Tackled

The nasal and teeth cleaning went well; the combined total of dropsies was a mere three, none serious. I'm getting more used to this prescription medicated Duraphat® toothpaste now.

Shaving... Hehe! Five minor nicks and one decent cut! Not so good. And the dropsies were about six. Didn't keep count cause I was forever trying to stop the bleeding. One elbow-bash on the sink when retrieving a razor.

The stand-up wash (too early to have a shower cause of the noise). Went smoothly, easy-peasy.

Medicationalisationing

Phorpained® gelled Arthur Itis's knees and ankles. Okay!

Finally, I stopped the bleeding from where the hair still grows around and in the earholes!

I'd run out of the Saccades eye drops, so I used the irritation one. I even got some of the medication into the eye! As opposed to down the chin, through the moustache, into the mouth! Used some extra nasal congestion spray.

Germolened® Itchy Inchies Wounds on the op scar around the midriff.

Harolds Haemorrhoids were treated to a soothing dose on Germoloid® ointment, and very welcome it was too!

I'd left the nasty one until last.

Little Inchies Fungal Lesion

I was fully aware of the pain I was about to go through, gritted my teeth, and called on all my reserves of bravery, willpower, determination - and applied the Dakacort®.

I didn't handle it very well, Argh! But then, I never got used to this.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morning Carer Crept In

It was Fatou (I like giving old people heart attacks) Ndow. Hahaha! She was in a slightly talkative mood today; we spoke for at least 20 seconds on a non-related subject after she'd tipped the medications lose into my hand to take. I also got a smile as she left. Yes! I'm getting to like her style now.

Blogging Needs

I concentrated on getting the Tuesday blog finished and got the photos on... No, that's not right; I meant Wednesdays blog. Sad, innit?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Intercom Flashed

Did my heart a bit of good to see sorely missed haematology nurse Hristina again.

Hristina was in a terrible rush, but she soon got my blood taken and listened to my relating the details of being without a blood test for two months. Telling me, she had been on holiday, had visited Poland and her relatives for two weeks, and had a week in Cornwall. Today is her first day back. Well, that partly explains why no one has called to take my blood samples for eight weeks.

But someone should have let me know I had to go to the Surgery for them for four weeks, surely? Humph!

The always pleasant Hristina departed, hoping she said, to see me next week, with any luck ♥

Now I have to wait to see what my INR level is. I imagine that getting the sample to the lab and having it tested will take until tomorrow. So I should know Friday if I need to cut the dosages, increase them and start on the Enoxaparin injects in the tummy by then.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

At long last, I got the Wednesday blog done and posted. Emailed the link and had a go at Facebooking updating. Then started this blog going but stopped when I realised I'd not done the Health Checks yet! So, I did them.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Health Checks

Whoops! The SYS had bounced back up, as did the pulse and temperature, but the latter two by far less.

Ready Meal Doctored

I got some water chestnuts, potatoes, Jenny's tomatoes and extra black bean sauce mixed in the food tray and left it to marinate to cook later.

Blogging Session

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Served the Meal

I added two sausages at the last minute to the microwave. It looked good, it smelt great... and

Was bloody awful!

What in heavens name I did wrong, I've no idea. But as sure as eggs are eggs, I must have done something silly, wrong or stupid during the cooking? Or maybe a share of each?

Eurgh! Taste Rating: 3/10!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne

Within minutes of eating what bit I did of the fodder, the call to the Throne arrived, accompanied with stabbing pains from the stomach (Although they could not be considered as severe in any way). Off to the wet room, I trotted and tottered.

Tough Evacuation

Painful Too!

This session was one of the most painful for years. Gawd knows how long it got me to get the product moving in the first place - then I had to manually stop to ease the pain and start things moving again - Twice! I felt drained when I finally ridded myself of the mini-concrete-like torpedos.

Poor Harold's Haemorrhoids!

The blood flowed down my legs onto the floor. Bit of a mess, really. But with everything I needed to have for sorting nearby, I got things cleaned up first, then the Germoloid was applied.

Getting Rid of the Torpedos

I've never had so much trouble in flushing things away. I lost count of the refilling of the tank by hand and flushes I had to perform! Finally, I freed things.

Then I paid attention to cleaning the blood up. Which in itself started Back-Pain Brenda and Anne Gyna off!

Gotten Himmel! Accifauxpa!

See below the nice neat stack of PP's?

This photo was taken... after I'd lost my balance getting the new PP's on, and I knocked everything off of floor-cabinet - the lot! All the PP's, the prescription tubes of toothpaste, and the Saccades eyedrops, then I restacked them.

I nearly cried!

Then I hit my ribs on the edge of the cabinets on my way down to the floor via bouncing off of the doorframe!

My luck had gone sour on me again!

With aches and pains from Back-Pain Brenda, Anne Gyna, and the bruises, I limped back to the recliner and eased my battered body down for a rest. The washing up from the dismal meal can wait until I recover a tad.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Fell Asleep

I'm not sure if it was dream-filled or I kept waking up or dreamed I kept waking up... I was in a state! When I woke up proper after an hour or so, I tried to move to get up for a wee-wee... Argh!!! So many parts of the humongously flobby body ached and hurt so much!

Phorpain - A full tube used!

I found aches and pains I didn't realise that I'd done in taking the tumble.

I have to admit, I felt a smidge sorry for myself at this stage. Hehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Carer Came In

Good timing on her part too. I'd just got into the jammies and covered up from the medicationing.

It was carer Elena, the pleasant, caring little gal, who buzzed the buzzer! ♥

Her first words were: "You look pale, are you alright?" ♥. A lovely woman who got the tablets sorted out gave me time for a bit of a chinwag afterwards. I didn't mention the tumble. The main result of the Accifauxpa is Back-Pain-Brenda more than anything.

I considered asking Elena for an extra Codeine; in fact, I wish I had now. The gal is so pleasant and patient with me. She took some waste to the chute as she left. ♥♥♥ Bless her!

Paracetamol are useless. I must get some co-codamol tomorrow, somehow or other. I took a couple of the Paracetamol but have no faith in them; if the pain doesn't ease, I'll have to take the Codeines, which means I'm going to run short of them at the end of the month.

Life can be so tricky at times. Hehehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Blogging

Got this post finished. Pressed on with Facebooking catch-up and emailed the links to Blogger.

Hopefully, I can try to get some Cocodamol in the morning if the carer arrives in time, and I can get ready. The Falls Nurse and then in the PM I've the Foot Lady Gal appointment.

Hope I can make the time to get down to the chemists somehow.

I stayed up late to finish the blog and do a template for tomorrow, hoping to make time to get some Cocodamols.

Morning all!
