Wednesday 8th September 2021: Inchies Day, and sometimes the odd ode that might slip in!

♥ TFZers in the Kitchen? ♥

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Tuesday Evening

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

WEDNESDAY 8th SEPTEMBER 2021

06:10hrs: Consciousness was reinstituted, and my first thoughts were shared with Teddy & Koala (Above). They didn't make any comments. But it made me feel better, pretending someone was with me.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Up & At Them...

With a perkiness, not seen for a while, I abandoned the warmth of the second-hand, £300, c1968, overwhelmingly-sickeningly beige coloured, tatty, uncomfortable, wobbly-recliner, with fantastic ease? I took a weak, unwilling wee-wee.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Tended to the Health Checks. Not very good again today, though.

The pulse was racing away. I tried again on the new sphygmomanometer, thinking this reading may be wrong or the machine faulty? The SYS was still 164, but the DIA was down to 65, and the pulse was surprisingly even higher at 105! So I made the graph using the first figures.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

ACCIFAUXPAS!

Off to the kitchen, to find I had left the hot water tap running and it obviously it was running out cold! Self Hatred & Disgust flowed, bile in the tummy!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

WHOOPSIEDANGLEPLOP

I opened a can of peas for use later, and Nicodemus's neurotransmitters failed as I was draining the juice. The peas fell into the sink! The bowl onto the floor, and I knocked the strainer off the counter!

Not another lousy day coming?

Cleaned things up. The hardest bit was getting the peas from the sink; as soon as I touched them, they disintegrated? A heck of a job! Fortunately, I'd got the drain filter over the plughole, so I prevented any peas going down that might have blocked the waste pipe. (Phew!)

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Pottered About

I made a brew of Glengettie tea. Got the spuds ready for cooking later.

Made up some waste bags, put them n the box near the door.

Then, the door chimes chimed...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morning Carer Arrived

It was Carer Elena. The one with the eyes that could easily melt a bloke!

Elena was in a caring mood, bless her. Got the medications sorted, and we had a mini-gossip and managed a smile or two. Gave her a nibble as she left. She even took the bags to the chute for me on her way out. Bless her cotton socks ♥.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Spent Hours Blogging

I had to make the template first, then started creating this post.

Slow, tedious work, due mainly to Nicodemus's neurotransmitters. They were missing so often, I very nearly dropped the mug of tea twice; and did drop the pencil several times, even knocked the pad and camera off of the top!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Mused at the Emagazine.

To see if anything happening was worth putting on here. During this procedure, I suffered four 'Herberts'!

Covid-19 Latest for Nottingham

Numbers down on the previous week. But still enough numbers of new cases, not to take sensible precautions?

The rest was all crimes, stabbings, burglaries, Con-Men (That reminded me of the declutterers I used!), missing persons, drink-drug drivers and other such dour happenings from Nottingham.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Made Template In Advance

Created for tomorrow. For me, to try to get ahead a little for once.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Called To Porcelain Throne

Utter failure! Solid as a rock! Harder than Concrete! I sat sitting there, expecting my rear end to be spit open, such was the pressure... But nothing moved, not even any wind escaping! More Dioctyl® needed, methinks? I spent so long in the wet room, I got one more solution to crossword 100, not finished it, of course. Then I moved on to puzzle 101, and even got some clues solved on that one!

Smug-Mode-Engaged!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back To Template

Got it done finally. Getting well into the afternoon now. An hour or two to go before the Amazon order, being delivered by DPD, arrival hour starts.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Stopped for a Mug of Glengettie

Took a snap of the end car park.

Luckily, I managed to get all of the vehicles parked there in the shot. Hehe!

Got a decent shot of East Sherwood.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back to Blogging

No, Sorry - Food Instead!

Microwave sausage muffin, Jenny supplied gorgeous home-grown tomatoes and a few potatoes. Followed by a lemon mousse. Very nice and tasty it was, too!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ablutionalisationing

I was Gobsmacked!

No cut gums or teeth - One... I repeat, ONE teeny-weenie cut shaving! No toe-stubbing, no Dizzy Dennis, Shaking Shaun, visits. And I didn't walk into anything, bang owt, or topple over... What a Session!

SMUG-Mode-Adopted!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

New Braces Arrived

The chap was soon up at the door. He checked on my name, date of birth and took a photo. I got light but big-box onto the recliner and took these snaps...

When I got the parcel opened, the two pairs of braces in the white bags were dwarfed by the packaging!

Got the cardboard and paper to the waste chute, and I got it down out of the way.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Unfortunately...

I gave myself a self-inflicted toe-stubbing of superior quality when leaving the room. It hit my own foot with the walking stick, known to me as Wooden-William.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Care Arrived Nice & Early

It was Valerie. The gal seemed under some pressure tonight somehow. Shame! Bless her, I tried to perk her up, but I think I failed rather miserably this time.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

UPdated this blog

I thought I could see something on the carpet near the waste bin as I was doing this. Thinking it had to be waste from the box rubbish, I got the picker-upperer, and I tried to gather it...

It refused to be collected? Haha! Moments later, I realised what it was. I can be quick-witted at times, you know...

It was the ebbing sunshine, going through the holes in the basket, onto the floor!

I did feel a fool. Well, a mutton-head, twerp, nincompoop, schmuck, and or gudgeon as well, like. I rather think that pillock would perhaps be the most condign word to describe my asininity? Take your pick.

Got this Blog updated

Posted it off to Blogger for them to rearrange my formatting before publishing.

I'll add whatever else befalls me in tomorrow's Inchies Day...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Herberts!

Oh, I'd nearly forgotten. I've been keeping track of the Herbert's on the notepad all day. I've kept a record of how many each hour (Roughly). Here they are:

I admit to having arithmophobia. But, using the two sheets of notes (and the computer calculator), I reckon I've only had to contend with 41 Herberts today! Mind you give me time, it can be increased late at night sometimes...

Potatoes belatedly in Crockpot
Added some Worcestershire sauce.

.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -.

06:00hrs: I stirred, in a fainéant, slugabed mode straight away, and nodded off again.

So, that helped me to part company with the £300, second-hand, c1968, eyesorely-horrendously grungy coloured, haemorrhoid-testing, unfit-for-use, recliner... But it still took a lot of effort, despite the absolute and ever-increasing in degree need for a wee-wee, and for once, the recliner felt comfy... Humph! 0615hrs: I woke up again, and I was working out how to battle my dysania, and the need for the regulation wee-wee arrived.

Got to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket), the flow was weak, but with a lot of  PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling). I took the NWWB to the wet room for being emptied and sanitised. The body was working well this morning. There were hardly any losses of balance too! But the brain was a little foggy... nae, bollixed and confused!

Got the bucket done and disinfected, took it back to its handy position, ready for any urgent needs in the front room. Then went off on one of regular early morning and evenings, 'Start doing this... so something else, forget what I was doing, begin on an unrelated job' routine.

I had a session of sorting and making up waste bags and got them in the box.

Sorted some clothes out that needed to go to the Winwood Court trinkets table, filled a big bag and put it on the trolley.

Then, for some unknown reason, I took a photo from the balcony of the end car park. Much more popular this morning, three vehicles were using it!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Health Checks Sorted

I was pleased with the figures. Not perfect, but they will do for me, nearly in amber!

Back To The MEanering Twixt Jobs!

Well, that was the plan, but things were interrupted with a call to the Porcelain Throne.

Again, there was a long, failed crosswording wait for the action to start. Once the movement began, there were a few oohs, ahhs, a shriek, and argh. I only just avoided giving out a scream! Yes, it was painful!

Still, no messiness to clean up!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

More Sorting Out

Added stuff to the bag on the trolley guide.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Carer Helen Arrived

Very late, but not her fault

She seemed a little down, nothing concrete to read, but her body language was translated by my EQ as if the gal was a little down. So, I made an effort to crack a few funnies and praised her work. Gave her some of the Towel-Pills, too. Helen liked them, bless her! She took the waste bags to the chute for me on her way out. Sounding a little happier as she trotted off. X That cheered me up too!

Hours Updating This Blog

The mistakes were coming thick and fast in my typing now. I may have spent longer correcting things than writing them!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

No Hot Water - Oh dearie me!

A few hours later, I went to get a wash and shave, but there was no hot water? Still, I wasn't exactly filthy. And the pale, ashen, stramineous feet looked okay.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Brekkers!

I made a good strong brew of Glengettie and had my daily orange Wagon Wheel for breakfast at the computer.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ode Composing!

Spent a few hours making up a funny Ode and got it sent off to Blogger.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Blogging until too Weary

Black Sheep of the Family!

First, taking the spuds out to drain them and discovered a black sheep in the colander.

Then I got the nosh served up. I used the rectangular mini-dish again, thus ate far less! Oh, I am good at times!

Franks, pots and tomatoes.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Snoozed for an Hour!

Woke, wee-weed and washed the pots.

Updating This Blog

As it came close to the possibility of the evening carer calling, I tried to get some graphics done on CorelDraw. Managed to get a couple done, and...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Carer Crept Up Behind Me!

Haha! Frit Me To Death Nearly!

I had my nose up at the screen, struggling with interference from Saccades Sandra, and the Carer greeted me loudly! I nearly fell out of the chair! Full marks to Elena; she caught me tonight. Better not take my blood pressure now; it's bound to be flipping high!

She was in a determined mood this time. Having failed to give me a heart attack, she told me off for moving the INR Dosage sheet, and got me to fetch her a box to put the medications in, then told me to 'Keep them here (where she put them), right on my recliner! Hahaha! She got the medicines given, did the questions, and read the City-Care Rehabilitation & Falls Team Letter. Told me to go on the website address provided. Yes, I will, I replied. Lovely gal.

Sunday 1st August 2021: Photographicalisations, and maybe the odd ode, that might be told?

SUNDAY 1st AUGUST 2021

05:30hrs: I stirred, got up gingerly, and made for the wee-wee bucket. Another tinkling sprinkling five-second effort!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Health Checks Done

Took the under-tongue CBD. Phorpain gelled Arthur Itis's knees, oiled the ear holes and took a poo-softener capsule. I went on autopilot after that, I think. Luckily I came back to my usual semi-alertness after half an hour or so.

Potatoes with added chilli into the crockpot.

When the Sphygmomanometer and contactless thermometer figure were collated on the NHS Assessment Site, I was 'Gobsmacked!'

The numbers were close to being the same as last Tuesday - Brilliant - almost in the green for the Blood Pressure! Smug-Moded!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne Attended

What a change! Trotsky Terence had taken over from Constipation Conrad. Messy!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I Made a Decision Oh, Yes!

As part of the decluttering, I suddenly decided that today, I would make a start on the masses of paperwork that needed sorting.

The small stack against the electric socket was checked out first...

Then, the relatively large stack on top of the broken printer was investigated...

Next, the oldest, been there for years pile, hidden under Gawd knows what on the desk...

A dollop of aged paperwork on the armchair needed sorting as well.

This was going to take some time!

I got the shredder out and a bag to tip the paper in once triturated. I was beginning to think this was not such a good idea after all. Already my willpower was on the wane!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ablutionalisationing Tackled

Somehow I forgot to have a shave?

The teeth bled, dropsies were rampant.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Mug of Glengettie Made

I brewed the first mug of Glengettie of the day. And pondered over whether this shredding lark was a good idea - but decided security-wise, it was, after all, essential to get done. This did nothing to cheer me up!  Took the tea to the computer.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Took this Photo

The slightly gloomy weather did not help cheer me up either. It reminded me that I cannot get outside for a hobble or bus ride. Not that there are any buses on a Sunday anyway.

Damn it, the VD-Darkness was falling.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Carer Arrived

08:25hrs, Cara Kara arrived. Benn working all night; she just had a couple of more calls.

Told her the toothache, Duodenal Donald and Anne Gyna are getting bothersome, to put it mildly. Then remembered she is a carer and not a nurse. I am a right fool at times!

She took some things down to the table to be used up for me. This declogging... no, I mean, erm... decluttering is hard work. Valerie has been of precious help to me mostly. ♥ I do ask each carer if they want anything to take. I asked Kara if she's like any DVDs, but she says she has no DVD player. I wonder if I have one in amongst the junk room she can have? I might well find one!

Sorted the med's and found time for a chinwag, bless her cotton socks.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

CorelDrawing

Having tried to think through the plans for this Sunday, mostly confusing myself more and more: I worked things out, as such:

Josie's meal, I could do without making it today, but I've never failed her yet, and I will try not to today. This means the earliest I can start on the shredding will be after I've cooked, prepped and delivered Josie's lunch, after midday.

But I also need some more graphics done for this blog, so I thought I'd do my best to get some done and saved now. Time is so limited... but I got an urge to write a silly poem first?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Urge to do an Ode

Oh, woe is he, can you not see?

Within his tortured bald head is misery.

It needs a living biopsy,

Also, I think he maybe has dropsy,

No one can help; that's a guarantee,

Can someone make him depression free?

Or at least buy him a decent toupee!

He's full of kindness and affability,

How to use it? He's not got the ability,

Nowt he does works, and is never risk-free,

He was rushing to have another wee-wee,

Lost his balance, landed on his knee...

I thought he was doing the Hockey Cockey,

Poor thing wailed like a banshee,

On to the WC, he did flee,

A crawling on his knees, journey,

He's still moaning about it; he's so finicky!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Started to Prep Josies Nosh

Made sure the ingredients planned were available in cupboards and the fridge.

Last, of the grated Leicester Cheese, thickener etc. readied to make the mash later.

Part laid out the plate, and I went for my eleventh wee-wee of the day so far. Tsk!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Bit of a Memory-Blank here

I went into a semi-panic about the very thought of the strangers coming in to do the flat sorting out (I think), and sort of came back into mock-imitation life as I was putting the finish touches to Josie's Sunday lunchtime nosh.

I seem to have done a fair job of cooking and presenting the meal anyway. Off to Josie's door and handed it to her. She appeared in a logical, with-it mood today. My thoughts were; I wonder what time she'll return the tray tomorrow? Hehe!

I'm glad she looked so happy today.

Wished her bon-appétit.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back To The Flat

Oh, dear, a lot of cleaning up of pots and pans needed doing. So I did them.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Paper Shredding Plan

Abandoned!

I was so confused. Was Valerie coming today? I was suddenly drained and tired out. Then the dark depression returned.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

CorelDrawing Started

Got a couple done.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got My Nosh Sorted and Prepped

Another decent tasting one. Chilli chicken, pickled cucumber (Not bad!), Gherkins, banned garden peas, Jenny's ♥ home-grown donated tomatoes, and crockpot cooked potatoes with chilli seasoning.  Flavour Rating: 8.2/10.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Fell Asleep Eating It Humph!

Valerie came in and woke me up. Nothing could be better than being woken up by Valerie - well, it could, but there's no chance of that. Hehehe!

The gal donated a new shower curtain and fitted it for me!  Kind and generous of her ♥ Thanking you, Valerie, I appreciated that! ♥

It even has some Dolphins on it - fantastic! Valerie had to shoot off. Bless her, she took some more bits away that needed getting rid of. I wish she would adopt me. Hahaha!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Photographicalisationing

From the Balcony

The car park, at the end of Chestnut Walk. It won't be long now; it'll be interesting seeing how they park up when the lines are painted.

The car park opposite Winwood Heights.

View of houses straight ahead.

Carer Elena Came

She soon got me sorted out and managed a few words of nattering for a couple of minutes. I do so enjoy a good gossip!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Herbert Is At It Late tonight

Herbert was still working away, clang, bang thudding. I spoke to him once, you know? Fair enough, he ignored me, but I tried! His sneer of contempt is one of the most effective I've ever known. Just one of his better virtues!

I reckon he's making a supersized, big model this time around.

Finalised, checked, I like to think that the Blogger people who change my fonts, sizes, alignment... even colours at times, can enjoy themselves.
