SATURDAY 2nd OCTOBER 2021

Because I was well-drained very early yesterday, with the hobble out and aches and pains, I got my head down early last night. Thus, this morning...

I was up at 01:00hrs: (I know, but what can yer do?) No wee-wees were required. I got on intending to get on with the computer blogging catch-up duties.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

First, A Mug of Punjana!

The flat felt really cold? I opted to get the Health Checks done first.

Well, Crapsticks! BP was up yet again!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Blog Prepping

I did five hours on the computer, with slowly increasing needs for a wee-wee throughout this session.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Break for a Glengettie time!

I noticed that, to my surprise, the wristwatch was working again?

I put the watch to roughly the right time last afternoon. And blow-me, it was still going? So, I put it on... hello, Throne time...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne

A smidgeon was reluctant to start at first, but when it began, the oh, so chaotic evacuation was over in a minute. Left a heck of a mess to clean up, mind.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Saturday Blog Finished

It took me an hour or so. Got it posted to Blogger, Emailed the link, and got on with making a template for this one.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne Mark Two!

I was taking the gone cold mug of tea to the kitchen when the need for the Throne arose - swiftly followed by a panic attack! Dropped the cup and hastened ASAP to the wet room! I felt more than hear the gurgling from the innards.

A right kerfuffle getting through the wet room door, I think I accrued some more bruises on the shoulder and arm getting in.

Tore a button off of the trews in my haste to get the pants down in time...

I could sense the evacuation creeping out and doing it faster!

Splush, splash, splish, splodge... trickling noises, and the bowl was soon well filled - but I made it in time!

I was sat-sitting there, and a second-round in virtual liquid form arrived...

The mess made was atrocious. I sat a little longer without getting up, just in case sneak attack number three arrived, luckily it didn't. What a corroboree! Cleaning next...

I was so glad I made it in time! Ten minutes later, I'd done the cleaning up of the stinking, gooey mess and went to see if the mug had broken when I dropped it. Bit of good luck there; I couldn't see any breakage or cracks in the China mug that Jenny kindly gave me. Phew!

Started On This Template

The wee-weeing were still getting more frequent. Five minutes after this, I had another, then not a one for over two hours? Confusing innit?

Put the kettle on, and realised it was gone 08:00hrs, and no carer had called? Ah, but it is Saturday! A day, known for much absenteeism within the ranks of the Caring Industry. I've had two non-shows, eight late calls since August this year to date.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Onto Facebooking

That didn't last long. It felt like anything, and everything was trying to muck things up for me! Then, Meridian Care rang me. My Carer in wanting to get inside. I recommended that she press my flat number on the panel on the wall. The whoever it was that was ringing rang the Carer. Couldn't hear the intercom go off; I nipped out to see if anyone was coming up in a lift, nope.

Back to the flat and phoned them, suggesting that mayhaps the Carer was in the wrong block of flats. Told her it was the end one and gave her the names of each block. She phoned the Carer... Costing me a fortune all these calls... The Carer is on her way to the front door now! (She'd been in Winchester Court)

So, I got the dressing gown and shoes on and went down to the front lobby. The gal was just coming in.

I thought I recognised her pretty face...

When we got up to the flat, chatting en route, she said she remembers now; she's been once before. Solange is her name.

Got the medications sorted out, and off she went. Poor thing is miles behind with her calls. Bade her farewell and thanked her.

Internet Back On

Fourth go at Facebooking. Fed-up with this! Still, the wee-wees are increasing now I've had the belated Furesomide.

Deliveries Arrived

One After 'tother

Aha, Amazon...

A box within the box... that be cans of Chinese Water Chestnuts

Then the Postman Arrived. With the cheap wristwatch from Amazon and the Warfarin DVT INR Blood Results

Boxes opened, the rubbish collated into bags and got some fodder sorted.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Fodder Prepped & Consumed!

Too tired to make owt fancy. I got the potatoes, microwaved two beefburgers and cheese, and ate them as fillings for the sourdough bread with tomatoes. BBQ sauce added. Flavour Rating: 8.8/10. Lip-smackingly Good!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Settled in the Recliner

Zzzz!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Woke Up in Need of a Wee-Wee!

Had a Marathon session, during which I thought I must have got up while sleeping and used the Wee-wee Bucket several times; it was so full?

Gave it a good cleaning and sanitising, put the kettle on, and started to fill the bucket again? What?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Checked The Deliveries

The new watch, spare straps, and strap fitted to the broken one on an old watch. (The one that yesterday mysteriously started working again).

I'd gone from having no working wristwatches; to three in a day. Hahaha!

All three are nice and clear to read. Not that I can when Saccades is playing up, but at all other times, the three of them cost less than £18... mind you, I've had to get batteries and straps as well. I got a pack of six cheapo push through replacement straps today as well. The old watch on the wrist had one on it.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Washed the Shirt

I whipped off the shirt and got it washed, rinsed, rung and hung above the sink to drip dry. Had another wee-wee.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Caller Came

It was Valerie tonight. She kept getting calls on her mobile as she sorted the medications out, and I finished clearing up in the kitchen. I wondered if someone else had cried off of work, and Valerie was being asked to cover for them?

I was moderately in with-it mode after the sleep, so I remembered to check to see if the Warfarin dosages were the same as on the INR sheet. Val said they were. I bade the gal farwell. Had another wee-wee?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Computer Back On

Surprisingly

Got this blog updated. Emailed the link and went on Facebooking...

I got excited too soon!

FRIDAY 1st OCTOBER 2021

05:10hrs: Woke with the aches and pains of last night Accifauxpas from the tumble, reminding me to try and get out for some Co-Codamols. Now I am more determined to do so! Of course, with my luck, anything can happen to destroy my plans... and often do, but there you are!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I got the nosh on for later

A wee-wee of sorts, weak and unwilling, yet plenty hen it did flow. Got the mushrooms cut and seasoned in the saucepan.

Then the potatoes in the Crock-pot.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Whoops! Hey-Ho! The SYS and Pulse have shot up a little again.

Carer Called

It was Katie today. She seemed in a good mood, and after taking the tablets, we had a natter for a while.

Time getting on now. Decided to get the ablutions done. I don't want to be late getting the CoCodamols, must get back for the Foot Lady in Winwood Court.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ablutions

Oh, what a pleasant session for once! Throughout the whole performance, nasal, teeth, shaving, showering, medication and dressing, I believe there were n more than 15 dropsies - possibly a record that the United Nations should be informed of! Hehehe! Or not.

A few cuts shaving, one clout of the shoulder on the power box, but nowt serious. The medicationalisationing had the same agonisticalness when 'Ointmentating' Little Inchies fungal lesion, but that never changes, of course.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Sorted Out The Needs

Bus pass, money, list, etc., got ready for the hobble into Sherwood; in fact. I might get a bus down this time. Gathered everything needed in my pockets and the bag of the walker guide and set off... I got to the bus stop and realised I'd just missed one. Shame! So I walked down.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Rough Pavement

I took my first photo on Winchester Street.

Needed all my concentration to keep upright with the trolley. Got down into Sherwood and took this.

.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

whoopsiedangleplop!

I must have taken a dozen more photographs along Mansfield Road. But my story of the trip shall have to remain pictureless! For some reason, when I got back to the flats, I realised that none of the photos was on the camera card?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Called into Boots

Got some C&P pain tablets.

Looked in the Continental Store. Then the Scouts Charity Shop neither had anything of interest for me.

The up to the Co-op. Got Rustlers, potatoes, and Sourdough bread with tomatoes in it.

Up to the Birds cake shop and got a cream cake for Deana. Then further up, to Wilko - and talk about empty shelves! They had none of the three things I was interested in purchasing. Tsk!

Then, a masterstroke of genius! I hobbled up to the top of the hill, and I called in Lloyds Chemist. And got another box of Co-Codemol! 8mg/500mg!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Bus Stop

Where I had a long wait for the40 bus to arrive. Surprisingly, no residents of the flats were there? But got on en route.

Back at the flats on Chestnut Walk, I got the camera out again and realised the pictures taken were not on the SD card at all anywhere - Grumbleturds!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Through THe Link Passage

Deana wasn't available. She'll be out sorting things somewhere. I can bring the cake down later when I go to the foot lady.

I went through the link passage, and at the other end, I found some repairs ere being done on the swipe door.

Three tenants were there ahead of me to the lift, and they got in the first lift that came. I caught the next one and up to the flat... to find a letter had been delivered; I got in and investigated...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

From Optician

Suddenly telling me, I need to have my eyes tested again. I needed to have my head tested if I was stupid enough to go back to him again, after the way I was treated by his female partner last time. A long story, but you've all had a load of tripe put up with today... I'll not bother you with it.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got The Purchasers Away

Not a lot of shopping is there?

Had Wilko had the freshener granules, Zoflora lemon disinfectant, any bleach at all of any brand, I would have spent a lot more than I did... I think?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I Make a Brew of Glegettie...

And started to update this blog. Hard work, with so many photographs missing, I use them as a memory prompter.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Nokia Burst Into Life!

My Nokia 9 Pureview Mobile, with its Android (Pie) updatability, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, Octa-Core Gold CPU, 4K@30fps, 1080p@30fps, HDR video, USB Type-C 3.1, %x12 MP. 28mm Camera, Bluetooth, A-GPS, Fingerprint (under display, optical), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, Li-Po 3320 mAh, non-removable, fast charging 18W, Quick Charge 3.0, USB Power Delivery. Fast wireless charging 10W, Qi Battery... No, hang on, that might be the wrong name...

It was Warden and desk-top dancer, Deana, to remind me of the foot appointment at 16:00hrs. She added that they can do me now if I go down - so I did!

Took the cake for Deana and cans of plonk for the Hairdresser and Foot Gal, Sarah. Which, of course, might just possibly not be the correct name?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Core Blimey!

I've had teeth pulled with less pain!

And then paid £25 for the pleasure, and gave them a can of plonk each?

Dropped the cream cake off for Deana, who was on her own again, and up to the neck in it. Bless her cotton socks!

Back to the flat.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Fire Alarm

I had a peep out of the window, no signs of any emergency vehicles about. The Ode folk chinwagging and having a fag.

There was activity at the end car park, though; I took a photo, then realised I had put the camera battery on charge, so I replaced it and tried again...

Back To The Flat

The sun had come out now. I stood practising my apophenia and pareidolia, and in the first photograph, I thought I'd identified a bird... but I can't find it now?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Time To Get Some Nosh!

So, I did!

Tasty, a rating of 7.2/10!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Carer Arrived

Helen, I believe. Much chatting on the marsh tonight! Tsk! I cannot recall much about the visit. I really was all done in from my little hobble into Sherwood.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Head Down

Slept through for over five hours, woke up, disentangled my flobby-torso from the recliner, not needing a wee-wee???

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

To The Disappearing Photos

I took a shot of the queue at the bank,

In the Co-op, of a leg of lamb shank,

Rubbish in the gutter, Gawd, it stank!

Walked into a tree with a clank,

The take-away's new fish tank,

Chocolates for Nora, Jenny and Frank,

Bought potatoes, which later tasted rank!

Got Cocodamals, for which I did thank,

Other photos, but the mind's gone blank,

Got back to the flat, my spirits sank,

Where had the photos gone, as if a prank,

I've no idea: I'm as thick as a plank...
