04:00hrs, I returned to semi-life, but the brain didn't join me straight away. Had a wee-wee. Suddenly, there I was doing handwashing, and the mind kicked into gear... the kettle was on, and potatoes scattered around the kitchen?
A Thorough Health Check
Then I had a look at the mystery new growths on the legs. More new ones, and the two-day-old ones were fading a little.
The varicose and femoral and saphenous veins seemed to be morphing to a different colour this morning?
Down at the lower legs and feet, the change in colouring was even more prominent. Either the camera has a fault, or I might have yellow jaundice or pruritus? Hahaha!

Updated Saturday Blog - Sent it off
Humph! Worra struggle again, unreliable Nicodemus's Neurotransmitters were on and off for hours. Making progress slow-going and snail-like. Unbelievably, it took me three hours plus to get the little bit of updating that needed to be done, completed. Finally, it got posted off to Goggle Blogger! Updated my Facebook pages, TFZers and the Winwood Heights one.
Made the Email link and sent that off. Went to make another brew of the fantastic tasting Thompsons Punjana tea.

Summoned to the Porcelain Throne!
The urge came rather quickly, and it needed all my attention and concentration to get there in time without any Accifauxpas. Not only did I manage to get there in time.
But without any toe-stubbing, dropsies or injuries... erm... other than hitting the doorframe with my shoulder, as Monocular Vision Victor, and Distance Judging Jed, both let me down, yet again.
Inchie Lie Anticipated: Of course, I kept all calm and collected, and I can assure you there was no swearing, gritting of teeth, or spitting blood, whatsoever, at all, oh, no!
The session started the second the bum hit the seat. Boy, did it flow... and flow, on and on. I don't know why so much, but I do know it was messy in the extreme to clean up afterwards! The WC was flushed several times without clearing the evacuated product. So, hand refilling of the tank was needed by the bucketfuls!

Carer Arrived
Memory man speaketh again?) I think it was shy Arron who came. He's got the hang of the job now. He even finished the job, and we had a two-minute gossip. I learned that he's been to Jamaica, South Africa, Afghanistan, Egypt, etc. A well-travelled young man, that.

Josie's Meal Prepped
I got the meatballs and potatoes from the slow-cooker, sliced the spuds for Josie, made some gravy, added some passata, and mixed food, with a wooden spoon.
Added a few gherkins, mini tomatoes and a few pods of sweet peas, then some red beans. Left it on low heat and nipped back to stir and check on it afterwards, as I got a brew of Glengettie and returned to the computer.
As Shakespeare might have said: "I doth liketh making a meal f'r Josie on Sundays. But t receiveth hard'r to doeth."

Local News Snippets
Well, let's hope another spike is not on the way. But I bet the clots celebrating England's win have already spread the disease!
Scary!
Today Up to now...
Chef's Duties
I got Josie's meal finished off and delivered.
I put on the Chef's hat (a pressie from Sister Jane) to deliver the tray with Josie's Sunday lunch, hoping to get a smile from the gal, and set off to her front door to hand it to her. I added some treats, as usual, to last her through the week for nibbles.
I rang both buzzers and waited...
It took a while. She would have been on the phone speaking to her sister, I Imagine. But I got a little laugh when she saw the chef's toque I was wearing. Haha! I told her about the sugar snap peas and soft meatballs and a little chilli in the flavouring.
Josie told she could smell the chilli in it but did not say whether she liked it or not. I got the jibe that she wasn't too keen!

Waste Bags To The Chute
I was doing so well until it came to leaving the room. Going backwards, my spatial awareness, or lack of it, facilitated another bang on the shoulder against the doorframe for me. I think I may well have more bruises than bone on the right shoulder now. Hehehe!

Back To Update This Blog
Oh, Grobblecackers!
Liberty-Global Virgin Media Down Again!
I hate this company and their overpaid, incompetent, nonchalant, customer hating boss, Mr Fries!
Hello, it's come back on!

Changed the Sainsbury's Order
I started my dinner going, then updated Sainsbury's order for next week. Oh, heck! Sorry, I did that; I got the 'Fuzzy-Haze' come over me for a while. I hope I've not made any more cock-ups with it.

Made The Meal
Can of Chilli, boiled spuds, red beans, garden peas, gungo beans, passata, smoked chilli and sea salt flavouring. Fingers crossed!
By Jiminy! That was one of the bestest tasting meal efforts I've done for months! A Flavour Rating of 9.25/10 for this one!

Ablutions - Accifauxpa Grade Two
As I entered the wet room, a simple message from my EQ arrived - 'Take Care!'
The teeth cleaning and nasal clearing went well, with no problems. Only a couple of dropsies doing these functions!
Then the shaving went even betterer! Not a single cut or nick! Dropsies? Just three! Honestly! I was doing so well, I thought that my EQ may have gotten it wrong.
I should have known better!
The showering produced a clunk on the head when I bent down to retrieve the dropped shower-gel bottle and a minor toe-stubbing, hardly worth mentioning pain-wise.
The medicationalisationing went so smoothly it took me by surprise. Drying off was easy-peasy. Then the getting dressed into the pyjama bottoms was tackled...
Argh!
Luckily, as I prepared to tackle getting the first leg into the trews, I rested my back against the door... raising the leg, and a wanton, involuntary right leg Neuropathy Pete Schuhplattler right-leg dance erupted! I hit the knee cap on the corner of the floor cabinet and found myself on the bum, banging the back of my head on the door on my way down, swearing and cursing underneath my breath.
I really thought I'd done some damage this time, so I stayed down for a moment or two.
The Peripheral Neuropathy affected leg was now all silent and calm - but I thought I heard it laughing at me... Joking there! I worked out how was best to get back up on my feet, using the crawled over to the shower chair to use as support. I got back with fantastic ease?
Checked over and moved the limbs, and all felt fine. Which confused me, to say the least. Because I could feel the size of the lump at the back of my head swelling, but there was no real pain at all with it?
The only bother of any worth was from the right knee and Cartilage Cathy where I knee-butted the cabinet. Hehe!

Mystery Find!
Made sure I'd turned of the Chilli stew,
To the computer this blog to review,
Put the slippers on; what a to-do!
Not worn them for a week or two,
Pictured above was what I found in the shoe!
It lay there wrinkled, t'was in full view,
How, what, why it was there, I never knew,
I got a feeling of deja vu,
The last time it was a baby, Caillou,
I laughed out loud; well, one was overdue!
I've got Angel Hristina tomorrow, my blood to do,
Suddenly my worries were so very few,
So, this ode, I just had to do,
As the brains confusion grew...

"Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad."
Wot BP reading? Billumski ooks around and hopes for a better number in the morrow.
ReplyDeleteOur Covid expert, Dr. Fauci expects that the US Covid future will look like a crazy-patch quilt of areas well vaccinated and areas where vaccines are rejected as a fate far worse than death. But I would posit that a bad case of Covid would make death most welcome and comforting. He also reports that other respiratory ailments are having a party as people toss of masks (the tossers!). Some doctors are treating people with conditions that are 500% greater than in the preCovid days. I shall buy more masks forthwith.
I'm wondering if Arron suffers from a Jezreel Bullet wound, the kind reported by Dr. Watson in the very first Holmes adventure.
Wishing youeth welleth, kind cocker!
Thanks for your hpes, mate! Todayeth I got the lowest ever BP reading!!!
DeleteThe aptly named by your good self, 'Tossers' over here, have now got the infection rate up worse than it was three months ago, in two days; celebrating England's footy wins. I'm at the stage, where I fear us winning another match!
Sherlock: “A Study in Scarlet,” was published in Beeton's Christmas Annual in 1887. Starting in 1891, a series of Holmes stories appeared in The Strand magazine, and Conan Doyle was able to give up his medical practice and devote himself to writing. What a delight that would be!
Your common sense with masking-up, is appreciated... but the doubters... Oh, dear!
All the bestest, keep taking care, please.
Nice you got a little natter with the carer. That young man is well traveled. Good for him. I love the chef's hat. England is on a football roll? That's a great looking meal you made.
ReplyDeleteDecent young man, enjoyed his company.
DeleteI'm a bit dubious about watching any more England matches - they seem to be doing alright without me watching them and sharing my luck. Hehe!
Smashing nosh, I might try a similar one with the last beef and onion, with chilli? This smoked paprika I've taken to, Tim.
Hristina came today (Mon), I had a scam caller. Got a call from Kingston court from a bloke, and I dropped and smashed a jar of gherkins. It's good boost others morale, Hahaha!
Keep safe.
