Monday Evenings Farces

Updating Facebook, and...

Virgin came back on for ten minutes...

Depressed again now.

TUESDAY 7th SEPTEMBER 2021

After about five waking-ups, this sixth time, the brain joined me. Informing me of an urgent need for a wee-wee.

So, a weary-bodied and tired-minded Inchy clambered out of the c1968 recliner. Limping to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket), and suffered a painful, resistant sprinkly wee-wee.

That woke me up a bit more!

I Greeted My Pets

Had a natter with Katie and Teddy as I got some clothes on after vigorously rubbing some Phorpain gel into the knees and lower back.

The residue I rubbed into the hands. Colin Cramps had been visiting overnight again. Arthur Itis and Back-Pain Brenda were still aching from yesterdays meanderings down the stairs, or rather back up the stairs. Hehe!

Made a Brew of Glengettie!

Ah, that's better, dark, strong, and so very tasty tea is this brand!

Popped Out on the Balcony

With the camera, and took these shots of the car parking situation. Also, to advise Billum of Ohio of the RCMA Red Car Monitoring Assessment (Financial Donations Accepted) of Ohio.

Brew to Computer

Started in earnest to get the photographs sorted. Then onto Facebook, with the intentions of getting the Monday post that £22m a year salaried Mr Fries, and their terrible intermittent crap Virgin Media service, caused me to abandon in the early hours, yesterday...

Guess what happened when I was on Facebooking?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I went to Clean-up in the Kitchen.

Not knowing how long the lamentably, horrifically incompetent Mr Fries Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet would be down for this time, I got into cleaning the wall tiles behind the cooker.

It was a very-aching in most areas Inchy after I'd spent an hour trying to get the tiles cleaned properly. I still wasn't happy with them, but they were a lot better looking now. No doubt, Mr Fries's Liberty-Global, Virgin Media Internet will go down again soon, then I can have another go at the stubborn marks.

Hello, the Blood Pressure readings were creeping, well.. leaping up again! Today it was approaching the nasty red 'Ring 999' rating on the NHS's computer rating graph! Mmm?

Email From HRH Lisa!

I had a good read of it, and I replied to the gal. Another treasure of mine, even if only through the ether.

Catch-Up on Facebook Attempted!

As I began to add to the TFZer Zone site... guess what?

Swine!

I tried everything I could to get get it back on. Reset the box, computer all off and on again, prayed, swore profusely at and planned how to kill Mr Fries, reset the box again, considered making an effigy of Mr Fries, and consulting black magic sites on Mr Google... but these naughty thoughts were abandoned...

The Morning Carer Came In

It was Helen. Got the medications sorted out, she informed of Jill leaving; Sob! Life will get a little more lonely and pointless from now on. (Humph!)

Helen and I had a mini-natter, and she had to nip off to do her rounds.

Porcelain Throne - First Attempt

I was absolutely convinced that I had to rush to the wet room. So I did! And sat sitting there for Gawd knows how long! The crossword puzzle number 100 was utilised while I sat there wondering if anything will ever move; I did rather well on the clues today as well!

But any hopes of an evacuation had to be relinquished. It was not having it! The feeling and senses told me there was a mass of product begging to be released from within, but rock hard or cram-packed slushiness? I don't know.

Hopefully, I can try again later...

Finally Got The Facebooking Done

About seven hours later than usual, but still. Mr Fries made a mistake, I think, the internet, although slow, has not gone down for over an hour now!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Brew & Dioctyl®

With my innards being so solidified, seemingly anyway, I made a brew of Thompsons Punjana and took a Dioctyl® poo-softener. As an after-thought, I took a Senna as well. Hopefully, this should start some movement before long.

Frustrations!

Finally, I got Mr Fries, Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet, back on. Then made a start on building this template. Hard work, as the Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet was so terribly slow againStubbed my toe.

Saccades Sandra causing the eyesight to blur badly. Luckily, only for a couple of hours or so. Now back to the regular hazy-view vision again.

Porcelain Throne - Second Attempt

Bloody & Painfull, but...

Successful! Hurrah!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The evacuations, solid or wet, get crappier,

My bones? I can hear them getting creakier!

The efforts each day, making me slowly weaker,

The evacuation content, ever grizzlier,

The effort needed makes me dizzier...

The session definitely getting bloodier,

Daily alternating twixt liquid and clingier,

Amusingly, always with a different aroma,

Still, it's to be expected; I am getting heftier!

It could always be worserer!

Going to get summat to Nibble

So, I did! A sausage and cheese muffin, microwaved sausages, sugar-snap peas and some tomatoes.

ACCIFAUXPAS
Door Chimes Chimmed

Just as I got the meal ready and photoed it. Jenny had called and left some tomatoes on the floor outside the door for me. That was so kind of her ♥.

Wiped the Microwave, saw the ticket attached, 'Dot Not Use This Microwave until you have removed the outer seal!' So, as the meal got colder, I hurriedly carried out the instructions.

ACCIFAUXPAS TWO

Spilling the bleach as I did so and some splashing on the new shirt I was wearing. Humph! I whipped off the shirt as fast as possible and got it into the bowl with some soap liquid to soak.

ACCIFAUXPAS Three

By then, I'd totally forgot about the meal that I'd made and carried on, washing the shirt, rinsing, ringing, refreshing and hanging to dry. A think one this is, it's going to take a long time to drip-dry. I'll move it get dry enough to safely do so and hang it on the stand-up airer in the junk-room.

ACCIFAUXPAS Four

Oblivious of the waiting to be eaten food, I then swept the kitchen floor, then mopped it and was semi-pleased with the resulting photograph.

ACCIFAUXPAS Five

Washed the mop and bucket, which was not a big job, of course. And when I got out of the wet room, I took a photo of how quickly the kitchen floor can dry when you do the job properly. From finishing mopping to the floor being dry enough to walk on, 5 minutes!

A Smug-Moment was definitely coming on when I realised the meal was still there on the server awaiting my attentions.

The congealed, cold, not too pleasant meal. But, I ate it all, all the same! Actually, it wasn't too bad.

Night Carer Arrived

T'was Julia, the American girl. Who soon had me sorted out, medically speaking. A nice gal, we had a mini-chinwag, which I enjoyed. I had to almost force her to take a can of plonk in thanks; bless her cotton socks and twinkle! ♥

  1. La Americana. That's cool. I just got back from the vein clinic. There were photos of what looked like you leg colorations and ulcers you have had in the past. All do to vein reflux. I have to wear compression socks for 3 months, then they are going to collapse the bad veins forcing the blood to good veins and my bad legs will be all better. Or so they tell me. Laurie is going to have the same treatment. We's all getting old. Nice looking mini meal.

    1. I hope the cure works, for you and Laurie, I really do.
I'm supposed to be wearing the bamboo compression socks. But it is so painful to get them on and off, I haven't worn any for months now - this also avoids the twice-a-day losing-pain battle with the sock-glide. Hehehe! When it gets colder, I'll be back using sock-glide Glenda again.

Talking of getting old, I came across an assessment report when decluttering, when I went to shred that and other papers - I spotted my date of birth on this sheet... 28 August 1847! No wonder they are cancelling the arranged appointments. Hahaha! I'm olderer than I thought!

      Cheers to all, TTFNski

  2. I wear compression stockings all day as a result of frequent blood clottings, but they certainly keep my pins looking good. Bad news is that the Tate now shows no interest in them :-)

It is quite amazing how you are able to install more parking spaces, then to have no one park in them. Wot a red-car phenomenon that is. Parking problems could disappear altogether with this effective MO.
Crossword 100 is a welcome completion getter. May 101 be as fine.
That infernal BP reading must certainly be an anomaly. Perhaps you could give the meter a rest and find a 137 reading the very next day!
    May your Herberts be few.

    1. My bamboo diabetic socks that I should wear, have been self-cancelled, Billum. But the pain inflicted by Sock-Glide-Glenda, as I mentioned to Tim; I don't wear any now, but when the cold weather arrives, I'll be forced into the twice-daily battle again. (Dread!)

The Tate has gone down in my esteem... mind you, after they bought the pile of bricks to display! But them showing no interest in Billum of near Ohio's artistically veined legs; Well I'm dumbfounded! Swine!

I had two failed visits to the Porcelain Throne up to now (09:25hrs), both failures, but they gave me a chance to tackle the CW book. I gave-up and moved on the next one. Tsk!

The dang BP is even higher this morning? I tried it on both machines, got the same SYS on both?

Herbert's clunking again (0928hrs) But maybe I need time to adjust to the 'No Jill to See' scenario?

HRH and Billum both, Thanks being you, and my appreciation I betroth!
