Inchies Day: Monday 4th October 2021

TFZer Bliss!

MONDAY 4th OCTOBER 2021

05:00hrs: I woke, somewhat reluctantly, after over four hours kip. But, the urgent need of a wee-wee forced my body into an activity of sorts.

The brain also woke at the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket) with a lot of  PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling). I had a look. Sensing the pain from the right foot during my few steps to the bucket.

The swelling of the left foot had gone down nicely, but the stubborn, right plate seemed to be gaining fluid? Making my hobbling a little dodgy. But, no Accifauxpas so far.

The Meandering Began

I was intent on getting the shirt from yesterday laundered. Nothing else seemed to matter; the shirt had to be done! And it was. Washed, rinsed, fabric-freshened, rinsed, and hung to dry over the sink.

Cleaning the Door Grill

Accifauxpa!

Then I wandered onto cleaning the walk-in cupboard door grill. I accrued two tiny cuts under the nails in doing so and clouted my right shoulder on the cabinet, getting my mass back up from the floor.

Waste Bags Sorted

I spent an inordinately long time making up some rubbish bags - I'm getting into this cleaning up lark - Unfortunately causing Accifaupas and Whoopsiedangleplops as I was doing the tasks.  Tsk!

Morning Carer Arrived

I finished making the mug of Glengettie and joined her in the front room.

I knew her name straight away, no doubt about it, this was Julie! But it wasn't when I asked her Monica. Thinking it must be Helen as she told me her name was Katie! I did feel a fool!

She got the medications thrown down my gullet, and I had chinwag, telling her about the new bucket and mop that I couldn't get on with or use properly.

Bade Helen farewell, no, Julie, farewell, and she took the two bags made earlier to the chute for me on her way out. When I told her that I would give it away to anyone who could use it, I was unsure, but she said someone would like to have it, so I gave it to her to take to them, whichever it was. I'll have to get another one now, but not from Amazon. I'll try to get out to look in the shops for a suitable one later on.

Food Order Made

Oh, dear! I had to think about which company to use, and what they sell as well. I opted for Iceland in the end, but I fear their stupid substitutions...

Well, that was farcical!

Iceland, J Sainsbury's and Morrisons-Amazon - All not taking internet orders!

Great!

Tried Again

Morrison direct was taking orders, so I gave them one - only fair, innit? Due in Wednesday 6th October, twixt 9-10:00hrs.

Called Meridian

To get some help with the sorting the Warfarin Blood Test appointment being needed or not? Lady said someone would come down to see me.

Carer Called

It was Louise. Vert patient with me. Got the details then phoned the surgery. After a while, amidst some kerfuffling and riffing that needed clarifications, it was sorted as far as it could be. The surgery was to ring Louise, and she would come to inform me of the decisions. Bless her!

Nosh served Up

With a Difference

It took me ages to get it made up; Nicodemus's neurotransmitters were playing me up. But I got it served and attractive it looked to me.

Fell Asleep

Louise Woke Me Up

The surgery appointment has been cancelled for tomorrow. Phew! That should save me some time and effort! Thanked the gal and offered the nibbles and plonk as a thank you.

Carer Arrived

I was making a brew of Thompsons Punjana when she came in. I knew her name was Caroline... I did as soon as she told it to me; when I greeted her calling the gal Helen. Harumph!

Got the medications sorted, mini-natter treats and off she went, taking the waste bags to the chute with her. I Fang you!

Felt Easier

I felt better; now I know that there will be no need to struggle to get to the surgery and back in the morning.

Sweet Morpheus Stubborn

Sleep wasn't too keen on enveloping me. And belated Thought-Storms kicked off, a most uncomfortable few hours, I almost prayed for some rest. I knew I needed it, but would it come - No! Well, it did eventually... but it was dream-filled and not nice ones either. I cannot remember many details, only that I dreamt of my failures and ailments. I think I was in a coffin at one stage in the nightmare; it had an inside with lights and an old fashioned wall telephone built-in?

A messy Day Again!

  1. LOts of additional ashing and worrying aboutCarers, but despite all worrying, stuff happens, even when unexpecred.
There is something about neeeding to unneccesarily worry anyway. At our age you can find that most of it involved hypothetical things that you mostly have no control over. I have decided thst most of the dreams that identify the worrier's fears grow during a memory of bad decisions made long ago. Even if the feared events did actually occur, there is nothing yer can do about it now. And everybody has known that the most terrible conquences do not have much to do with today, and they may often contain worries about things that never evev transpired. Very many of our biggest bugaboos never hsppen. Meanwhile, the absolutely totally unepected occurs with a vengeance. And hits you right between yout eyes, or somewhere else. Life keeps its trump cards way up their sleeves.

    1. A comment containing psychologically, cerebral, intellectually-inspired intra-cognitive commenting there, Billum!
Had to read it three times. Hahaha!
An ending sentence that deserves to be recorded and published somewhere, methinks.
But, spot on again, squire, I fang-you!

  2. Great looking Dagwood you made there. Her name was Katie but you called her everything else but Katie? At least she had a chinwig.

    1. It gets me more confused these carers names, Tim. Another new one this morning (Fri), a Maryham Attahiru. New gal to me, likes a little natter and laugh she does, pretty thing again! But she did not take the waste bags for me, Hahaha!
