Tuesday 13th July 2021: Diary, Photographicalisations, and maybe the odd ode, that might be told?

TFZeress Now into Acting!

Last Nights Happenings

I was working at Facebooking...

The internet dying again soon put an end to that plan of action!

Swine! Gits! Useless overpaid Fries again!

Tuesday 13th July 2021

05:00hrs: I woke. 05:01hrs: I fell back to sleep. 0525hrs: I woke up again, in need of a wee-wee. 05:30hrs, Wee-wee completed, and off to get the early stand-up ablutions done.

Ablutions

I could not find the Duraphat toothpaste?

But, the session was one of the better ones. I was stood standing there at the sink, with my feet in a bowl of hot water and Dettol, and completed the shaving operation whilst the feet soaked. Got the shaving sone with only three dropsies and two of the tiniest cuts on the chin.

Completed the scrubbing up, and I got the medicationalisationing done. All went decently well, I must say. Then the Porcelain Throne was needed - which was very handy as I was stood one hobble away from it at the time. Hehehe!

All went tremendously well. A tiny bit of blood from the Harolds Haemorrhoids, but an awful lot from Little Inchies fungal lesion! Boy, the pain when medicating him a second time! Argh!

The feet were looking much betterer.

Handwashing Done

After washing the shirt, I made and drank a mug of Glengettie tea and check the Boot's made in China Sphygmomanometer. The reliable, trustworthy, Chinese manufactured contactless thermometer both working fine.

Health Checks Performed

Not a bad set of figures!

New Carer Arrived

Young gal. But she tried to give me a Warfarin! Luckily, my being 'with-it' a bit more this morning, I caught on to the error. I calmly explained that these are nighttime tablets, and there was only one, when tonight, the dose will be two tablets. The girl had not called on me before (I think), and others have cocked my Warfarin up as well, so I was very calm with her. The system is confusing to me, so the carers have a job of working things out for the first few times they call.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Prepped Things For The Busride To Bulwell

Turned off the computer, and I readied things for the bus ride out to Bulwell. Things seem to have helped me in getting ready, early Carer's arrival... Now I'm worried! As I thought this, my EQ spoke: "Don't get too excited!"

Out... Whoopsiedangleplops

I got down to the ground floor; the noise from the drain cleaning was horrendous! I walked through to the Wardens Den, both busy. Back and into the link passage, and I thought I'd take a photograph. Huh! Turned the Canon camera on, 'No SD Card in this camera' message. Peed-off with myself to a great degree, I went back up in the lift to collect the SD card. Damn it! I was going to miss the bus if I wasn't quick. Humph!

Back down again to the passageway.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

 Agh! Whoopsiedangleplop!

Got down to the ground floor lobby once more. I'd left the mobile phone in the flat! As I was walking back to the elevators - the fire alarm sounded! Of course, the lifts would not work now. So I was marooned! Hehe!

No way I could get up the 24 flights of stairs with the trolley. I had to wait until the fire brigade arrives. The caretakers came and tried to get the lifts restarted, but it was a long job, by which time any hopes of catching the bus were lost!

RANTING

I was fuming at my stupidity in getting into this mess. Even angrier at the circumstances of how I'd got myself in this Gawd-Awful dilemma!.

I had to wait for ages, but eventually, the lifts returned to service. So, I got up to the flat...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

WHOOPSIEDANGLEPLOP!

I got in and could not remember what I'd come up to the apartment for? But there is no chance of catching the bus to Bulwell now.

I had a frenzied, apoplectic ranting session again, all aimed at my own patheticness. Cursing,  swearing, spitting and got myself all worked up! This did Duodenal Donald, no good at all! I gulped down a good swig of the useless Peptac medicine, and I started updating this blog.

What To Do?

After much-convoluted thoughts and planning in my mind, I decided to go to the Co-op in Sherwood and get some pod peas, if they have any in stock. Which will be questionable!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

OUT AGAIN... Tentatively!

Down and along the link passage.

I called in to see the Wardens again, but both were looking so busy, I about-turned and poddled to the bus stop outside. Caught the 40 and down Winchester Street, pressing the bell for the bottom stop, but the bus didn't. Seems I'd not pressed the button correctly? Got off at the stop on Mansfield Road, crossed the pelican lights and into the Wilko store.  I came out with a kettle descaler and the three things I panned to get; a bottle of ylang-freesia freshener, Liquid Soapflakes, and lemon Zoflora disinfectant.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Down To The Co-op for the Pod Peas

The Co-op didn't have any pod peas... well, Grognangles!  Disappointed in that the cock-ups this morning meant I couldn't go to Morrison for my peas... Dammed Co-op! Crap!

But I did come out with three things that I just didn't need at all. (sounds familiar?) A Cheese Twist - £1.90. One tin of Smedley's Garden peas at 23p (30p at Sainsbury's!)  A loaf of sliced Sourdough bread (Naughty and not needed! I'm beginning to hate myself again, here!  Lemon Cheese desserts, £1,10 (They are for Josie). And a box of Essential and delightful) 99 tea bags. £2.10.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Killed Time Waiting To get the bus back...

I made my way up the hill to the bus stop. As I got within 200 yards or so of the shelter, the 40 bus arrived and shot off before I could get to it! Well, would you believe it! Humph!

Getting Mifterer by the minute today!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Options Considered

I hobbled down the hill, musing. After some considerable but inept and banal thoughts, I weighed up the options.

1) Walk back down the hill to Winchester Street and up the second steepest grade in Nottingham, back to the flats... No, maybe not!

2) Perhaps, I could have a go at doing the crossword book? Mmm!  Wait here for another hour for the next bus?

3) The only choice really; I'll walk back up the hill, down to Woodthorpe Grange Park and into the gates, up the slight hill to the Tree Copse, and down the steep, uneven gravel path, risking life and limb with the trolley guide... down to Chestnut Walk and my beloved Winwood Heights?

I'd gone so far down the hill while pondering, I found myself outside the Birds cream cake shop! Would I buy myself a cream cake, a diabetic, and an overweight one to boot? No, I was a good lad... mind you, I still bought two cream cakes... No, not for me, to treat Oberstgruppenfuhreress, Warden and Ballet Dancer, Deana, and cuddly Generaloberstess, Ice skating champion, Julie. Well, they were both working so hard this morning.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

A Grueling Walk Home Through The Park

.

Up and over the brow, down I went to the gates into Woodhthorpe Grange Park.

There were not many Nottinghamians about.

Highlight Of The Day!

As I took a breather under some trees, a chap and his dog came down the path, and I immediately fell for his elderly white Retriever/Labrador!

He had a black bag over his obviously so painfully front paw and hobbled over to me - his face spoke to me - asking, "Have you got anything for me to eat for me?" I just knew! I asked the chap if the dog liked cheese and would he mind if I gave him some on a savoury cheese curl? The man said, "He loves cheese!" So I got the cheese curl from the trolley, and the dog demolished it! His tail wagging furiously! And this made me as happy as the old poorly Labrador was!

I much regret not getting the camera out now!

Continued to the top and turned right near the top of the tree copse, and I saw the welcoming sight of the flats at the bottom.

I began the descent, doing my best not to let the trolley do the pulling!

Nearly at the bottom, all safe and soundish!

Hobbled along Chestnut Drive and dropped the cakes in the interrogation office for the gals. Noticed a bus just coming in, so had I waited for the bus, I'd have missed the wonderful dog in the walk up through the park.

As I poddled along the link corridor, Deana was coming in the opposite direction. I told her of the cream cake awaiting her return.

Through the swipe door into the decorative part of Woodthorpe Court. Hehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Home At Last!

Up in the elevator. As I got out of the cage, I took a selfie and gave you all a wave!
I hope you like it!

The feet were aching, but the other ailments were all being kind to me. The memory of the wonderful good-natured dog stayed with me.

I got the purchases unloaded on the server and took a snapshot of them.

I'm already looking forward to this evenings meal. I plan to have smoked ham and tomatoes in a sort of Dagwood type sandwich or two, with the mini new potatoes and a marmite cheese?

On the plus side, had I managed to get to Bulwell and Morrisons, as initially envisaged, I'd have spent a lot more dosh today!

Then I pondered whether I needed anything else foodwise but felt I didn't, as yet anyway. But I decided to make an order for next week, from J Sainsbury's delivery.

I stripped off all but the PP's (Protection Pants) to cool down after my exertions. And started to update this blog...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Whoopsiedangleplop!

In walked Matron Jackie! Oh, dearie me!

She told me they (Jackie and the Doctor) had got the blood test results back from the Severe Frailty Test, and I was still in the Pre-Diabetic level. She asked if I was still eating sugary things. (Thank heavens I didn't buy myself a cream cake- Hahaha!) I amazingly remembered them arranging for me to go on a Diabetic Course, then along came Covid, and they were cancelled and put on the web instead, but it was impossible to take part. I tested the site, I could not hear what people were saying. And when I still tried to join, it took a lot of help from people for me to get online - but the password they gave me, needed to access the course, didn't work when the time came. Jackie said she would look into it to see if I am still on the list for when the face-to-face meetings start again. It may have been the shock of seeing the wobbly blubbery, whale-shaped body of mine, but she shot off very quickly. Hehehe!

Ode To Today

So many Cock-ups, I can't keep calm,

No good praying or quoting a psalm,

It may time, for the funny farm?

With nausea, uneasiness, and a qualm,

And, I've just come to some more harm!

I walked into the doorframe, clouted my arm,

Tsk! Always a reason for panic and or alarm!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Carer Arrived

The bubbly young gal (Helena?), the one with the tattoos. After she's sorted the tablets. Oh, and I remembered to tell her that there was Warfarin in the pill-splitter! Me? Remembered? Yes! Smug-Mode-Engaged. Hehehe! - She had a chinwag and look at the balcony windows and learnt how the windows open. A complicated system, I think the gal may have had problems when needing to open them in other flats for people?

Off she shot to her next customer.

Planned My Battle For Control of Sweet Morpheus

I put the TV on, to pretend to want to stay awake - hopefully, this ploy might fool Sweet Morpheus? I feel sure if she thinks that I want to stay awake, she'll ensure that I don't! After all, when I want to sleep, she so often denies it to me?

Not a chance!

A few words on last nights Euro Final

Losing the match was such a shame,

But it was a marvellous game,

England could not win within the timeframe,

A penalty game, now to start who to blame!.

No one is worthy of blame or shame!

- - - - - - - - - - - - -

I was proud of our lads; their spirits did not wane,

From Darren, Stirling to Harry Kane,

Losing must have been a pain,

But Hero Status they did gain!

Will it be 55 years before a final, again?

To me, the match was extramundane!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I used this mornings photo of the view to express how I feel after the heroic efforts of England. The daybreak was bleak, which is how I was.

But there's no way that I can feel ashamed of our team! Great effort, lads!

Monday 12th July 2021

05:30hrs: I slowly reassociated my brain to the wakefulness demanded of me... But the clinomania, as for the past three days, won the day. I hastily dropped back into a slumber...

05:50hrs: Even more reluctantly, the eyes crept open, and brain thought of the possibility of waking and getting up - Dysania Wins Again, off to kip!

06:10hrs: A smidgeon of interest was shown this time. I thought of last nights football match, started to relate to things that needed doing - then I nodded off yet again!.

06:25hrs: At this fourth attempt to fully stir back into semi-life, the need of a wee-wee helped me decide to abandon the recliner, get on my feet, and meander over the few paces to the grey, nocturnal wee-wee bucket.  The leak was of the WDFL (Weak-Sprinkling-Fountain-Like) evacuation that needed some encouragement to start flowing. But no suffering of any PM (Pre-Micturitional) or CM (Cessational Micturitional) dribbling.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ablutions tended To A Stand-up.

Too early to use the shower due to the noise of the motor and draining bothering other tenants. I was going to use the prescription toothpaste, but when I took the cap off, I realised I had to use a standard-shaped brush. I spent ages searching for one. I am sure I have several of them somewhere... but where is the mystery bit! After around twenty minutes of searching, I gave up.

As I was finishing off and getting dressed...

Morning Carer Arrived

She was in a professional mode today. Soon had me sorted, managing to have a mini-natter as she finished the job off. ♥

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Industrious Activity Yes!

I got the waste bags made up and onto the box to go to the chute later in the day.

Had another wee-wee... Can we take it that I wee-wee'd approximately every half hour throughout the day?

Then, got the kettle on and had another wee-wee.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I Started To Prep the Fodder

Small potatoes into the crock-pot.

Peas podded, with the loss of only two escapee peas. May never see them again.

Still, the evacuation was one of the easiest in months or even longer. The recycled toilet paper was still reluctant to go down!

Started on This Blog

Began with making the Ode

I spent many hours getting nowhere fast after that. For the attacks from my beloved, but painful  Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley started. She was very persistent as well! Along with the persistent multiple wee-wees, they proved to an annoying trait that I could have done without!

I battled bravely away. And, when I'd had enough frustrationalisationing, I went to make a brew and check on the potatoes and peas.

Well, blow me, what did I see upon the kitchen floor? I got the camera.

Is it? Can it be?

Yes! It was one of the missing peas! Probably edging its way to a hidey-hole? Haha!
My EQ warned me that substitutes and out of stock products will be rife on Thursday... no,  on Wednesday 14th when this arrives.
Of course, this didn't bother me... much!

Back onto the Computer

Well, that was the plan, anyway. But I see that Liberty-Global, who owns Virgin Media, had other ideas, and the internet went down!

I Got My Nosh Prepped & Served Up

Orange & red tomatoes, fresh garden peas, gherkins, new potatoes, German smoked ham, silverskin onions and pickled shallot.

Not too much. I kept myself under semi-control on this one, sizewise, I thought.

I ate it all up and wished I had not kept myself under control sizewise. Hahaha!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Settled Down For A Snooze

Well, that was the idea. The Thought Storms that were brewing erupted. My brain was tested too much for any proper kipping to be achieved.

After an hour, at long last, it seemed I was about to clear the head and drift off...

The Door Chimes Rang Out

The evening Carer Arrived, the same gal as this morning. Turns out that carers had not come in again, so the calls had to be shared amongst the loyal few again! Poor Gal! She'd done 13-hours already today! I thought earlier that she was a little stressed. ♥ She's a trooper! ♥ Soon had me done. She was a smidge happier now.

♥ Nocturnal TFZerings Going On? ♥

HRH Lisa & Bill, over on holiday from Ohio!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Sunday 11th July 2021

05:00hrs, I woke still feeling so tired. My disinclination to get out of the £300 second-hand recliner was more determined than ever. I shamefully nodded off again!

06:10hrs, I came back to imitation life and in need of a wee-wee.  I tentatively scrambled my comically overweighted-stomached body up onto my feet. Caught my balance and visited the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket). I had an FPB (Forceful-Painful-Blasting) marathon of a wee-wee that flowed out as if from a hose-pipe!

I took the bucket for cleaning and sanitising.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Stand-Up Ablutionisationing Done

All went reasonably well. The usual dropsies, naturally. A couple of tiny nicks shaving. The toothache started when cleaning. Little Inchies Fungal Lesion had been bleeding a lot. But, no falls, bangs or walking into anything. Medicating the lesion was enough to bring tears, Tsk! The feet and legs were a little ashen again. However, the blotches had gone? Mmm!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morning Views Taken

A zoomed-in shot with the Kodak camera of Nottingham City Hospital, about a mile away.

A view straight ahead, well, to the left a bit, from the kitchenette window.

I found a few of the Morrison's Baby Potatoes with blight, of course, but only three of them.

These are for me to have later on. If they cook in time, I can add some to Josie's plate.

Wee-Wee then a Mug of Tea

Health Checks Completed

All good today. The BP is still in the Hypertension level three! Oh, Yes!

Even the wee-wee colour was better than usual at level three!

I spent several hours getting the Facebook catching up and photos on the system. Then, noticed I had two messages come in on Blogger. Tim and Bill, I'd be lost without them.

ACCIFAUXPAS!

While replying to Bills input, Nicodemus's Neurotransmitters failed. I found a complete loss of sensation in the fingers of the right hand... Thus, and I've no idea why or what I did wrong, but the caps lock was stuck on permanently, the delete button did not work, the backspace went in the opposite direction when entered, and I went down into the darkness of depression as I panicked! I feared this was the end of my beloved blogging. Then...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Morning Carer Arrived

It was the well-travelled young man, Craig, I think... so I confirmed his name. After he'd sorted things out for me medical-wise, I told him of my problem with the computer. He did something on the keyboard; I know not what. Then told me to exit Blogger, and start again, and try the comment replying again.

A Miracle! Yee-Haa! I was back in control, and the keys were all working!

Was I overjoyed or what!

Although he said he wasn't sure what he did, but who cares about that. He would not take a can of plonk or packet of biscuits in thanks. He departed, leaving a seriously relieved Inchie behind him! I have my beloved blog again!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Waste Bags Sorted

Surprisingly, I filled the big box up to the top? I'll take them to the chute later after I've fed and watered Josie.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Checked on the Progress of the Fodder

I got the Lea & Perrins Worcester sauce in with the garden peas to let them marinate a while. Got the Leicester cheese out of the fridge, ready to go into the potatoes with some onions and sea salt when the cheese has warmed a little.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Started Work On This Post

Jane at the Cat Cafe

Sister Jane rang. We had a good natter come chinwagging session.  Despite us both having hearing problems now. She said, "I know what it's like, now!" Hehe! I got a call on the mobile phone, and JAne rang off - ( a Royal 'Off', Hahaha!)

It was a message that had come in. Couldn't make any sense of it, all gobbledegook to me? I cleared it from the phone, confused now.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back To Blogging!

I did about two hours worth of the diary. Mostly correcting things I'd got wrong, changing and amending. Getting all het-up, frustrated and annoyed with the ailments and myself!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Off to Make Josies Meal

I got the tomatoes and gherkins sliced. Halved the pickled egg, added the onion, then the Surami Sticks. Salted the tomatoes but some balsamic vinegar on the egg and got around to making the cheesy potato mash. Which was not easy.

Added the treats, caramelised biscuits, baby belle cheeses, Yorkie Bar and bottle of WKS Berry 5%vol alcoholic fruit drink... Oh, and Lemoncello dessert. Then got the cheesy mash made and finally got that on the plate for her.

Delivered dead on time again, to the gals front door. Josie was immediately interested in the bottle of WKD! Hahaha!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ginormous Meat Fly Attack!

When I got back in my apartment (It sound much better than an ordinary flat!), I wash doing the washing up of the cutlery, pans, bowls etc., and the most giant meat fly I've ever seen flew in through the open window and settled on the counter near the slow-cooker. It was that big, at first I thought it was a sparrow!

I went to fetch the camera; it didn't seem bothered about me at all when I passed by it so close to it, getting to the other room. I returned and thought I might try to work out how to use the Macro in the Kodak camera. I spent ages trying to get to know how to use it but had to give up; everything I tried to get it in Macro mode failed.

So, I used the auto. The fly was not interested in what I was doing; it just stood there eying me up! I took the shot...

Did I mention that it was speedy for such a great big, fat, scary-looking bluebottle! Har-Har!

Nottingham Latest Covid Cases Numbers

Not good, but the increase has slowed down a lot.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Legs Were Creamed

The fact that I did the left one with Germolene, and the right one with Phorpain gel, didn't seem to matter to the legs.

Neither was any bother, and I reckon they looked a lot better than when I did them yesterday?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

CorelDrawing Duties

I got two graphics done for when I get around to creating tomorrow's template. Then set to making the Blogger above post. It was not easy; it was late, and I am so tired again.

I must try to get the new one done quickly, then I will try to get a  kip in before the evening carer arrives. I think a few of them will go absent tonight, with the Euro Finals playing?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

An Ode To Confusion

Oh, I've got to wee-wee, get my meal too,

Soon the carer will be due,

Something's nagging that I ought to do,

Things I've forgotten, well, quite a few,

The brain and mind began to argue,

What about? I haven't a clue,

So I made myself another brew,

Will I ever again bill and coo?

Well, I do have problems to work through,

Hello, a  smell? Sacre bleu!

Once again, I've burnt my stew!

Mmm. that's not really true,

But garden peas don't rhyme with stew...

What is it so important I'd got to do?

One certainty, I can tell you...

My insanity needs looking into!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Sweet Morpheus for an hour - That'll Do!

I turned everything off and got the nosh finished and served up.

The Morrisons Cumberland sliced sausages I tried for the first time were delicious and so tasty, and tangy with it! Sehr gut!

I nodded off into slumber before I knew it, with the tray containing the plate, cutlery and empty lemon cheesecake pot still on my knees. The next thing I knew, the door chime was playing Dusty's ♫ I only want to be with you! ♫

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Carer Arrives

Embarrassment Again!

I was half-asleep and assumed it was the carer arriving; I shouted out, come in, and then realised as I got up, I had a shortage of clothing on my body - just the PPs! Protection PantsI think I got my trews on in time. So, now embarrassment joins the regular memory blanks, Shaking Shaun and stuttering as my main ailment challenges?

The gal has arrived really early, I like to think, so I could have time to top settle to watch the Euro Final on the TV. Bless her! ♥
