Welsh: Dydd Llun 3ydd Mai 2021
Whoopsiedangleplop: 01:15hrs: I stirred, and the requirement for a wee-wee came at the same time. Thus, creating a minor panic to get to the overnight bucket in time... Freeing my hanging-over-the-belt colossally-stomached body from the £300, second-hand, c1968, horrendously grungy coloured, eyesore of a haemorrhoid-testing, unfit-for-use, recliner, was the first challenge.
Whoopsiedangleplop: My equilibrium proved to be not too good this morning. After a couple of failed attempts, I gained my balance. I made my way to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), and without any PM (Pre-Micturitional) or CM (Cessational Micturitional) dribbling, passed a most wilfully resistant wee-wee. No pain with it this time, though.
Whoopsiedangleplop: After I took the leak, my mind began to go off on its own course. And stayed like it for hours. I found myself doing things out of order to what needed, or I would usually do them.
I wobbled off to the kitchen, made a brew off Co-op 99 tea, and got the mushrooms and leeks prepped and into the crockpot and seasoned to marinate them; I'll turn the pan on later. (He says hopefully)
Whoopsiedangleplop: Then I got the Health Checks done. It was a surprise to see that the SYS and DIA was the same reading as for three days now? High at 169. Did I do summat wrong in taking them? If I remember, I'll use the other Sphygmomanometer tomorrow.
I got the computer on to load the photographs and had to go to the Porcelain Throne. An almost perfect passing! It took a long time for things to start, but it was over in seconds and neither loose nor solid once it did. No bleeding, no pain, and easily cleaned up! This was unusual! I washed and returned to the computer. Started updating the Sunday blog.
Whoopsiedangleplop: Then the brain froze on what I was doing, and I stopped, then made a Morrison order via Amazon and sent it off? What I was doing, or rather why I was jumping about and getting myself even more confused, was beyond me. Yet still, I wasn't concerned and just plodded on starting things and moving onto others, without a care in the world. This, as I said, concerned me, but the will to do anything right was just not with me? I actually really felt an inner-contentment in the melee of my mind? And knew I shouldn't feel this way?
I went on Facebooking, still with this habit of wandering off the subject and not being able to get back to what it was I was going to do, cause the memory keeps letting me down. Humph!.
I continued with updating the Sunday
blog. Got it finished and posted to Blogger. Emailed the link. Answered a
comment, and I noted a message for me from the Peripheral Neuropathy site, on
Health-Unchecked, so went in to see it. Replied.
Whoopsiedangleplop: I went to
make a brew of Glengettie, I turned and disaster! The hot water was running
cold, and panic overcame me immediately – The wet room tap left on, or a leak? I
rushed to the wet room…
I had left the hot water tap running and felt very lucky that the sink hadn’t overflowed! My panic dissipated! All I could think of was the good luck I’d had with the clothes not blocking the overflow outlet?
This state of mind I find myself in
is so worrying!
I got some water in the jugs, kettle and saucepan on low heat.
Yet still, I seemed to accept things as being almost normal. Singing away and even whistling? I need help. Hopefully, Deana can get things sorted in the morning, and I can send off the questionnaire.
I made a start on updating this post, and got distracted again, and ended up taking a photograph of the still early morning view from the kitchenette window. Not too bad an effort.
Whoopsiedangleplop: Back to computing, and then... Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet went down again! Things were getting niggly again!
Whoopsiedangleplop: After half an hour, it was still not working, so I swore mildly and accepted the situation. Then I got some handwashing done—just a pair of bamboo socks and a thick long-sleeved pullover. I was making a good mess, spillages made as usual, but for some reason, this didn't seem to bother me as it would have done, usually? Got them rinsed, wrung, and hung above the kitchen sink. (the one where the hot water is cold because of insufficient memory and impaired hearing) Oh, and incoming dementia... Well, it here now, innit? No point in denying it any longer; time to try and get summat done; that might help me a bit.
Still, the wonderful Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet was down! I don't think for a second that the $123,254,000 plus expenses salaried Liberty-Global boss, Mike Fries gives a toss about it. Cringecrapper!
I decided to get the ablutions done in stand-up style. Which went rather well.
The feet were looking far less inflamed, and a lot of the blotches and vein explosions had abated. The teeth cleaning went well. The shaving was one of the best I'd had for ages - just the one tiny nick; it hardly bled at all.
Getting medicated had a couple of painful episodes, but I'll not mention them cause they involved Little Inchies Fungal Lesion.
Getting the PP's on and a slight loss of balance caused a bang on the elbow. But no going over or down. I was pleased with that session. I came out, taking extreme care not to wake into the doorframe, and found myself singing Billy Fury's 'Cross my Heart' b-side song from 1961. See? I can remember that, but not what I was doing fifteen minutes ago!
Bloody good job that I keep noting things down on the pad!
Went on CorelDraw to make up a graphic or two.
I got the food prepped and on the tray.
Not feeling too good suddenly, no dizzies, just absolute fatigue! I got the pots soaking in the sink and am now going to get my head down.
Whoopsiedangleplop: I soon nodded of for an hour or so, woke up feeling a smidge better, and ready for a mug of tea. Into the kitchen...
Grumbleclonknackers! I'd only gone and left the sodding hot water tap running yet again, all gone cold once more!
After some initial internal cursing, venting about my birth origin, and a minute of so in self-hate mode, I accepted that it's too late to bother; at least I avoided the floods again.
But my spirits were low, and interest in anything shot to pieces. I sat down, intending to have a stew and undoubtedly argue with the Thought Storms - But No! I fell asleep!
That was a whoopsie-filled day. You got through it and got another good chronology in a another day in the life of Inchcock.
ReplyDeleteMorning, Sir Tim,
ReplyDeleteREading about the Whoopsies (I let the hot tap (faucet) run dry again today! Tsk! Anyway it made me think of it, and I went to check on the kitchen sink... all okay, Phew!
Got the Vascular Dementia list to sort later, I hope Deana arrives, can't cope with it on my own, a food delivery arriving (just in time, I'm nearly out of milk), and the district nurse may arrive. The note read: But if I doesn't, I'll try try call on Friday, but it will be late. Failing these, a week on Tuesday next. I was baffled before I opened the letter... Har-har!
Cheers, thanks.
Nothing like finding a hot-water tap not hot-watering. Very good to have help as reliable as Deana at your beck and call. I guess you could say that I am also a Deana sort of personage, not merely an ambassador to Nottingham, or some kind of liege perhaps. I should inquire into this vascular-demential business, wondering now if all that Warfarin is afoot, there is not medication that interferes with dosage-masking as that blood thinner.
ReplyDeleteWe wishes you fineness, decency, and a way to foil pavement cyclists! But is that asking too much?
Billumski (world class harumpher and liege, because feudal allegiance is my wild card).
Goeth it well with yer, kind Sir!
Billumski:
ReplyDeleteWill reply later, mate. Just seen the time, must get the ablutions done before ICeland and the nusrse cometh. I'll be back... I hope!
To Tim,
ReplyDelete♫Fings ain't wot they used to be♫
The Vampire is coming today - Wednesday Hehehe!
Ah, well!
To Billumski:
ReplyDeleteI'm back Billum! All clean, smelling nice, and medicated all over. (Hehe!)
Cripes, noe Iceland and Sainsbury's are here with deliveries, I thoght I'd ordered JS for next week? Mess to sort out...
