Saturday 7th August 2021: Photographicalisations, and maybe the odd ode, that might be told?

I Reluctantly Woke-Up

05:20hrs: I woke to wonder and fret over anything that perchance floated anywhere near my brain. There mainly was a confusion of thoughts that didn't make much sense to me... Minutes later, I was saved from the Thought Storm when the need of a wee-wee arrived. By the time I'd got up on my feet and wobbled to the wet room, I also need the attention of the Porcelain Throne.

A Good Session!

No force was required. The massive torpedo flowed smoothly and entirely painlessly to overfill the bowl. No bleeding from the rear end. However, Little Inchies fungal lesion must have been bleeding overnight cause the blood was dried hard - which meant as I popped down the PPs, the wound started bleeding afresh! Which in turn meant I had the most painful of the daily tasks to do - the cleaning and ointmentating of the lesion...

Bravery is my second name... Well, alright then; I may have winced a mite, gave out the odd restrained 'Argh!' and swore a little, I suppose! I was walking oddly for a tine afterwards! Naturally, the agony, stinging and bleeding, was of no concern to a man like me. Ahem!

To The Kitchenette

Got the kettle on, the potatoes in the saucepan. Took a photo of the morning view. Then got some spuds in the slow-cooker...

As I drank the tea, it dawned on me - It was not Sunday, it was Saturday. I did go into a part-pissed-off with myself mode! Humph! So why, I thought to myself, have you put the potatoes in to make Josie's cheesy spuds on a Saturday?

Waste Bags Sorted

Put them in the box in the hallway, ready to add others later, and I can cart them to the blocks waste disposal chute.

Belated Health Checks Done

It's a shame that the All-In-The-Greens results have changed suddenly. But why is the question! And 'I've not got the foggiest' the answer!

Made a Start on this Blog

Had a quick look at Facebook, then started this blog template going. Nicodemus's Neurotransmitters were less bother than they have been for ages, and I was making good progress. But Neuropathy Pete's right leg was shaking and shuddering occasionally. It nearly had me over a few times, but, by good luck and my wizard skills at lunging and grabbing onto things (and the fact that something was nearby to hold onto each time) saved the day! Hurrah!

Made A Brew Of Glengettie

As I was waiting for the kettle to boil, how delightful... an odd word I know, that the legs and feet were looking this morning. Very close to an average pair of pins and plates!

The Carer Arrived

It was Helen this morning. She presses the door chime-bells for me, so I know she's coming in. Hahaha! Which she did. Nice to see her again. After getting the medications sorted out and questions asked that need to be asked, she took some DVDs and bits away for me. ♥

Started Updating this Blog

Oh, what a picklement I got into! I ended up not being able to access Google at all, now! Clicking the Blogger icon, I was taken to a page where I could only start a new account? I tried on Firefox, and that needed a new password to give any further progress and permission to share my registration details?

I tried various options and had no idea what I was doing... fighting to retain detail... at the worst possible time, the phone rang...

It Was Sister Jane & Pete

I really had problems hearing what was being said and trying to retain a few details of the computer problem I was battling with. Still, I thought to myself, the computer is due to die a death anyway, so I tried to concentrate on the telling-offs and instructions from Jane, instead. We had a natter about this and that as well, and the alarm went off for the Enoxaparin injection to be self-given. At the same time, Xyrophobia suffering Brother in Law Pete was going out, so we parted company.

Complete Bafflement in my head!

I was left with an almost blank mind now. The computer problem had to be tackled anew from the start, for I really feared any actions on my behalf may well cause an even earlier death for the computer. I fumbled about, blindly, got lost in some instructions altogether.

Getting on blogger through Google is a gamble. An hour or so later, I could get into Blogger on Firefox, but Grammarly doesn't work on it. Most times, it takes me to the account page, and somehow I found myself on the site at last. But next time, well, anything can happen. Although there may well not be another time if the computer dies.

Pissed-off and very fed-up I am now!

Iceland Order Made

For next week, and that was a mess and frustrating as well. Grrr!

The site was so slow that when I got the order finished, the delivery date sorted, I'd ran out of time, and it would not let me pay! Couldn't get back on Iceland online! So, I tried on Firefox and got back on. The delivery dates timing was no longer available, so I had to book a later one. Even more pissed-off now! At least it let me pay this time.

Unbelievable!

Herbert started tap-tapping with the odd bang for hours. It must have been loud for me to hear it.

Mid-Afternoon Already!

Thought I'll get something to eat. So I did. Canned bean stew with some bread and potatoes. Too mentally worn out and tired to do owt else. What a nasty, Whoopsiedangleplop day it's been!

Oh, Gawd - Saccades Now

SAccades Sandra is making my vision terrible. I'm struggling to see safely. I'll get sat down when I've had the meal.

Taste Rating 8/10. Added some tomatoes, tomatoes puree and a little Worcestershire sauce to the beef and beans stew. Nice!

Bliss! Sleep!

Washed the pots and down to settle in the £300, second-hand bought, c1968, nauseously beige-coloured, not-working, uncomfortable, rusty, rickety, difficile, crumb-covered tatty recliner.

But some noise from above woke me after fifty minutes. The match was nearly at half-time. Thought I'd watch it... But No!

Ablutions!

Could I find my other glasses? No! I decided to get a quick teeth-cleaning, shaving and showering session in, of to the wet room I went. (Well, it's where the shower is, Haha!) Had a good session.

Carer Valerie Came

I'd just made up some more water bags, and Valerie rang the chimes. She got me sorted with the medicines, and took some bags to the chute for me on her way out, Bless her!

Leicester 1 - Manchester City 0

I caught the winning goal, a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. Sickening for Man City - but wonderful for Leicester City! Yee-Haa!

Updated this Blog

Posted it off, and did some Facebooking.

All to the accompaniment of Herberts continued clanging and banging about. Swine!

  1. I quite enjoyed that graphic on weight-loss methods, not quite what it seems.
Weather and BP are holding to reasonable norms.
Your carers are turning out to be good company as well as aides, yer could worserer methinks.
The spuds are looking better each time, not the ones that we've seen afore.
My greetes to Jane and Pete, the fellow who is not a friend of blades.
Worsrershire is a favorite here as well. Yer nosh looks loke one that HRH Lisa would enjoy, giving it an 8.3 is my best guess. I dont know much about Leister and am a Mancunian United sort, so I shall say Rah and good goings to Leister, whom I shall shortly ask Mr G about.
And what the 'eck is Herbert up to? That is me question.

  2. Well, I have sat at the hearth wirh Mr G. He informs me that Leister FC is a rival of Nottingham Forest FC. Leister goes back to the 19th Century they do. I take it that Forest is yer local FC.
Cautionary: Sunday arrives there in less than an hour...
