Monday 20th September 2021: Inchies Day, and sometimes the odd ode that might get slipped in!

MONDAY 20th SEPTEMBER 2021

I woke at 03:15hrs. Coughed, passed wind, and promptly fell back to sleep, and dreamed about being stuck in a cave deep underground; a stream of pink water, an old-style phone on the wall? Fish with two heads? - Sorry, no more details.

05:00hrs. Stirred again, in need of a wee-wee with a certain amount of urgency involved. I rose, caught my balance and was at the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket), passing a strong and less painful than late flow. It came to me how easily I'd hobbled across the room.

The feet looked far less bloated. Not gone yet, but going, I hope.

Morning View

I did my best to get a shot of the red moon in the sky. But failed miserably, but I'm used to doing that. Hehe!

I'm unsure if it was a saccade or my tritanopia, or maybe the camera, or my lack of knowledge of the working of the Canon? But I could not get a photo of how red the moon looked to me? A feeling of disheartening unfulfillment came over me. Sadness, almost!

Made a brew of Glengettie and got the Health checks done.

Still a smidge higher than I would have liked. But then again, I would have liked to have married Susan Maughan and or Helen Shapiro back in 1963, and nowt happened then either. Har-Har!

It was another or quality effort of last nights mini-supper.

Porcelain Throne Summoning

As smooth as, well, I don't know. No bother at all, no bleeding, no mess... one of the best ever sessions!

But afterwards, I did spot some feet marks on the floor in the shower area...

Into Sherlock-Holmesian Mode

My sceptical mind wandered. Had someone been in? If so, why the wet room? No, hang on, the pattern of the sole marks looks suspiciously like my slippers?

Yes, it was self-inflicted dirtying! Naughty Inchie! It must have happened when I went in yesterday to hang the dressing gown up to drip dry? I do feel a fool!

I took the dressing gown and put it on the stand-up airer in the junk room.

Then got the mop and bucket and cleaned the wet room floor. Not easy while using a walking stick, I can tell yer!

Part-way through the mopping up, the mop went through the grey plastic ringer part on the bucket!

Extracting the mop needed someone like my cyber buddy Bill Zeigler from near Ohio; his scientific skills could have helped me work out how to get the mop freed! Without self-harm, and possibly breaking the bucket or mop as well...

I persevered, gave it my best shots, and I need a new mop and bucket now! And Back-Pain Brenda kicked off! The bruises on the fingers were Germolened.

I thought things were going well!

Morning Carer Arrived

It was Valerie today. I waited until she's sorted and given me the medication, then tried a little nattering. But she had been running late, so I didn't have much time, but Valerie did seem to enjoy our scant, short-lived, couple of minutes of chinwagging, as indeed I did! I talked her into taking a little bar of chocolate in thanks.

Blogging

I got on with Blogger; I suppose you could call it Blogging? Haha!

Made a brew of Thompsons Punjana, then took a photo of the end car park.

A container and two cars on it at the time I took this shot. Looking up!

To The Kitchenette

Washed the pots and took this snap of mammoth jars of Black bean and hickory-smoked BBQ sauce that I'd bought.

You can see how large they are, with my placing the 12" kitchen roll at the side of them in this photo. Humph!

Morrison Order Arrived

The gentleman handed the parcels through the door for me. Only four today.

I thanked him and gave him thanks in the form of a can of plonk.

Took them to the kitchen for being unloading, had a wee-wee.

Fridge items stored first.

Then the cupboard stuff.

Not the refried beans. I'm not sure what to eat with them? Would bacon be alright?

I'd got some fresh strawberries on the Morrison order to go to Jenny, Doris and Frank, as a thank you. Got them in a bag with some other bits and took them down to their apartment.

I Rang the buzzer, knocked on the door, and back to the lift.

Wee-Weeing

Another brew, Glengettie, this time and I needed two wee-wees within five minutes of each other? Still, it shows the fluid is draining away from the legs?

With several Wee-wee interruptions

Mini-Nibble Time

A reet-treat for Inchie!

Roast beef slices in gravy, done in the microwave. Potatoes cooked in the crock-pot added to the beef, along with some Hickory BBQ and Black Bean Sauce, mixed it all up and got it back into the microwave oven for a couple of minutes.

Gorgeous! 9.4/10 for Taste!

A pot of old-fashioned jelly & custard to round it all off.

Zzzz!

I think a mixed bag of dreams started more or less straight away. Ever-changing scenarios, most unconnected... then I got a call on my Super-Dooper state-of-the-art new mobile phone... Ahem!

I was still profoundly dreaming, and I struggled out of the recliner to get to the Nokia. I'm afraid I was not sure if I'd dreamt the happening or if it was real, it could have been wishful dreaming... but Jillie phoned me... I was not fully compos mentis... and the conversation was, to me, muddled.

But there I was, sure enough, stood up, with the phone in my hand. But did I dream the call? Confused? I rang Jill, and I felt a fool when I learned she had called me. She was swamped with work.

But Jill had helped me out again by getting some of the Duraphat® prescription toothpaste from the dentist, to be brought by Valerie. ♥

Jill is such a treasure, an angel even now after she has left her care job. ♥

Hand Washing

I got the shirt washed, rinsed, refreshed and hung above the sink.

The Door Chime Chimed Out!

It does that sometimes! Hehe!

It thought thinkingly, Good Heavens is the carer nice and early tonight. Made my way to the door, realising that the presser of chime could not be a carer,  for they had not entered the flat.

It was Josie, returning the tray and dish from yesterday's Sunday nosh. She said how much she really enjoyed the stew! I was pleased to hear that.

I washed them up and put them away in the newly found home for them in the top cupboard to the right of the sink.

Insurrectionary Mood Adopted!

The crappiest, most unreliable, uncaring, pathetic internet service ever!

And yet the Liberty-Global, who owns Virgin Media, the number-crunching bosses, still pay Fries $22m a year salary, plus expenses???

PATHETIC GITS! - Con-Artists!

Figure-Manipulators

Underhand Merchants!

Whited Sepulchres!

Casuists - Rorters

Customer Haters!

Rapscallions - Bilks - Pettifoggers - Pseuds

Beguilers - Quacksalvers!

DO NOT TRUST THEM!

Of course, I may be wrong, and they are just incapable. Well, I think so, but then I'm only a customer of Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet in Nottingham, which has lost the signal on average over the last four weeks, 24 times a day! - Are they bothered?

NO!

Just thought I'd mention it, like.

That's because it goes down so often!

Blogging - Carer

Got this up to date, and the evening Carer called. She walked in, asked if she was alright, turned and looked at her and listened to her voice as she said, I'm fine. I knew she was fibbing and told her so. Which brought a smile to her face, as if in an admission that things were not all that well with the gal. It was a new carer Chaymae, I think, been once before. Not an over-social young girl, but she does the job well enough. Bless her.

Evening All!

  1. Four HERBERTS, he is having quite a noisome week, are he not?
BP is stuck on the relatively high side, but the week is yet young and yer could yet surprise us.
That mop has done quite a number on the bucket. I shall have to inquire into the ways of mops and buckets, they don't seem to get along with each other at all. This calls for some cybernetic magic tricks and some experiments that promise to be of ground-breaking (and mop-breaking) significance. A genuine puzzler that calls upon my Sherlockian skills. A five-pipe problem most certain.
    Hmmm...Hummmm...Hammm...Hurnnn.....
As I recall, Josie was much and verily impressed by the alcohol content in that Sunday plonk liquid, it has been known to find favor at many a nosh table.
Had a Humir review session, all signs indicate that it is not a placebo and does not show any evil side effects, my first detailed review is wot it were. Only problem was a steady rainfall through the entire day, but it was just the kind of day that HRH Lisa sleeps well during: cool, dark, cloudy, and all das Schmalz.
I wonder how yer camera was able to turn a red moon into a red one. Quite a trick, Sir!
Right now we are enjoying a yellowly imbued atmosphere, but no red moon yet. Yer gots to be patient I guesses.

    1. Loved your quotes on the mop and bucket situation, Billum!
Ah, a five pipe problem... brings back memories of my younger years, when a pipe of Erinmore mixture was lit, smoked, and enjoyed, each time I went fishing. IT brings back genuinely happy memories. Cause if the fish were not biting, I cared not - out came the pipe! My peaceful, relaxing pipe. That I still miss, even after so many years. I'm not drying, just got the snuffles! Har-har!
Over the moon to read of you Humira review results, mate!
And HRH's flaking out with the weather - bless her!
Das camera cocked things up wiv the red moon, or my manipulation of the aforesaid camera?
I must get something right before long?
      Cheers, Sir.
