Inchies Ode of Hope (Humour)

I need to have hope, again,

Can I? I'm not really specific,

Anytime, can come the final curtain,

I wish I could write in Hemingwayan,

But I've not got a clever enough brain,

I'd love to go to a retreat, possibly Himalayan,

Where money's not needed for life to sustain,

Where decency, compassion, one can maintain,

Without ridicule, by moron or villain,

When everyday activities are more of a pain,

Nowadays, just getting out of bed is a strain!

Knowing one will be abused again,

Vascular Dementia, my hopes are slain,

VD brings depression, and many a bane,

Although I try to be polite and urbane,

My hopes begin to slowly drain,

Thought-Storms attack, as a mental chicane,

One gets ideas, more dangerous than butane!

Gone are my years of being a bibliomane,

Saccade, hearing loss and back pain,

Peripheral Neuropathy, a stroke came,

Diabetes, I even got stung by a drumbledrane!

Life seems to be going against the grain...

Life is getting to be extramundane,

Life is now, without a doubt, insane...

People are getting less humane,

Even I am becoming a lexiphane,

Bald as a badger, I have no mane!

Much of this Ode seems to be nongermane,

It's like my brain is hidden in a subterrane,

I'll stop now and have a mug of tisane...

From losing it altogether, I must abstain!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Should I snuff it tonight,

Don't fret, not that anyone might...

I'll be content, with no thoughts to fight,

In fact, I'll be better off... well, I might!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Formulated for Fun - Please don't take this serious!

I Thank You!

Wednesday11th August 2021: Inchies Diary, and sometimes the odd ode, that might be told?

♥ Ah, a TFZer Party? ♥

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

WEDNESDAY 11th AUGUST 2021

05:00hrs, I stirred and wrestled out of the recliner to have a weak willingless wee-wee. And I wandered into the kitchen to put the kettle on. Then had to rush to the Porcelain Throne, which I did!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evacuation Number One

Trotsky Terence made a fierce comeback this morning. Gooey, messy, stinky and most uncomfortable. Cleaning up afterwards was unpleasant and cost me much lost time!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Blogging

I made a brew of Thompsons Punjana and spent ages, seemingly getting nowhere, updating the Tuesday blog! I kept wandering off onto other things on the web, found a word and was determined to see what it meant. But I eventually got back to updating the post for a couple of much interrupted hours! More minutes lost!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Accifauxas

I was putting the kettle on again, and the tiniest 'Phlut' of wind popped out of the rear end... But so did other stuff!!!

I cringed, took in what had just happened, and hurried as fast as I could to the wet room. I got myself seated with great alacrity and a plump that I thought must have broken the raised seat at first! The activity flowed, well, spurted out, until the end bit, that was another dollop of gooey, sticky, messy evacuated product! The lingering pong was still pungent when things were all sorted! Cleaning afterwards, medicating and cleaning up this time must have taken me close to an hour.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I'd Forgotten the Health Checks!

So I did them, better late than never. Haha!

The Blood Pressure was up a smidgeon, but no complaints; this was good enough for me!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Email From Pete

Had an incoming message from Xyrophobia suffering Brother in Law Pete. he's had his operation and was feeling okay. Which is lovely to know! He sent a p[photo of his wee-wee he took after his operation.

It looks like a Madiera to me. Hahaha!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Billum & HRH Lisa

I thought of HRH Lisa, and Billum,(MLitt), AAB: Associate of Applied Business, ASPT-APT: Associate in Physical Therapy, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Master of Computational Finance, Master of Science in Teaching (MST), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Institute of Physics (IOP), and Associate Professor of the OSRCMA Ohio Red Car Monitoring Assessment (Financial Donations Accepted) of somewhere in Ohio, in the USA, would like to note that the red car owners seem to have been the first to grab spaces in the new and car park. Awaiting comments.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Made up some waste bags, took them to the waste room chute and dep[osited them down the aforementioned cast-iron lid.

Had a bash at the newer crossword. Gave up!
Ah, Liberty Global Virgin Media Internet was back online, but ghostly slow! Gits!.
But it scrubbed all nicely. Hahaha!

Wrote and thanked him for the laugh. Hehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -.

The Mind Seems To be Vague?

I then found photos on the SD card of the view pictures taken from the balcony hours ago.

The sky was an odd colour, come shade, I thought. By the time I'd got my bulbous, gigantic flabby-bellied body back inside from the balcony, it had changed to normal? The beautiful puffer clouds came out later on in the morning.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Morning Care Arrived Late

To be correct, two of them let themselves in. I was making a mug of Glengettie tea at the time. I'm also considering ringing up to see where the carer was. I'm glad I didn't do it now. Obviously, Carer Helen showed new recruit Carer Sellonge (I guessed at the spelling) her duties, so she would naturally be behind timewise. They got the medications handed to me, made sure I took them. I offered them each a can in thank you, not sure if they took any, I think Helen did, and she deserved it! ♥

Unfortunately, with the Carer getting here at 08:00hrs, it was too late for me to go out on my planned trip to the bank. I'll try again later in the week, methinks. It can't be helped, though; I'm not complaining. I understand how it is.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Finally, I Got The Updating Done

Then sent the Email with the link... but...

The Internet Went Down Yet Again!

Crungleknuts!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Left The Computer

Waited for the 'Liberty-Global' Virgin Media Internet' to hopefully come back on again.

Hand-washed a shirt in the sink.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Computer Tried Again...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got some photos to use as a background for the Inchies Day headers. Then opened CorelDraw to create them with.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Removing the Ink Blot that Wasn't?

I thought I'd got some ink on my finger. After trying soap, nope. I moved on to bleach without any luck. The scrubbing brush was utilised then. As I bent down to pick up the dropped scrubbing brush, I had to put my spectacles back on; then I realised it must have been a blood-blister. I think.

Took a Photograph of the beautiful puffer-Clouds

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got The Nosh Prepped

Ate it all up, put the tray down and nodded off into a wonderful sleep. Then, realised that I'd only been asleep for ten minutes! Woke up in a panic, have the Carers been and I not heard them? Then realised that the door was open anyway, and they all come in under their own steam...

Could I get back to sleep? No! So I didn't?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got Up And Onto the Computer

I seemed to be getting on rather well with the updating. Then saw the time... Gone 18:30hrs?

I pondered on whether to call Meridian or not? Not late at all! Managed to get my head together - I'd been getting the times wrong in my Vascular Dementia affected head.

No panic, I pressed on with the updating.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Carer Buzzed & Came in

Soon got my medications taken. Had a job finding the INR Dosage sheet, though. Hey-Ho! It was Carer Helen (I think).

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Pressed on with this updating. Took me a while, and Nicodemus's Neurotransmitters, which have been very calm all day, burst into life.

Posted off the diary. Sent Email links. Went on Facebooking, TFZer and Winwood Heights sites.

Evening all!

TUESDAY 10th AUGUST  2021

I woke in utter mental confusion. I lay there getting the head sorted out as best I could. But EQ was warning me of stress to come, and although Jill told me she was not calling this morning, the EQ insisted that Jill would be attending? My thoughts kept jumping from one thing to another, totally unconnected? Iceland order due, Amazon Scratchings are due to be delivered today.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Wee-Wee Needed

05:50hrs: The mental torment was relieved by the demand from the bladder that I take wee-wee, somewhat urgently. So I did! It was an unwilling, trickling session, with masses of the tiniest droplets of CMD (Cessational Micturition Dribbling). Unfortunately, all the following wee-wees were of the same model, and they were many of them, so many at one stage I was physically fed-up with them, and Little Inchy became sore and tender. Not a very good start to the day. Worra life!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Health Checks Completed

Had a quick wash and got on with the medical checks. Made this graph of the results.

Aha, back down into the orange zone again! Encouraging that, let's hope it stays there. Hello, off for another wee-wee!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got the kettle on

But no time for a brew - the innards informed me that the Porcelain Throne was needed - so that where I went. Hehe!

You can tell it was another Constipation Colin controlled session by how far I got on with the crosswording. It took even longer and more effort this morning to get the action started. However, once moving, it smoothly yet painfully flowed. And once again, no bleeding! Yee-Haa!

The pins and plates were looking paler than they had done in ages. On the plus side, all of the veins, blotches. Papules, scars, etc., seem to have disappeared from view? That'll do!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back On The Computer

Put some potatoes in the crockpot, unseasoned. Made the belated brew of Glengettie tea. And onto the computer once again.

.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Email From Iceland

I'd ordered some Wholemeal cobs, two packs of four, on offer. These were for treats and one pack of six small-sized, ready-sliced one for myself. Iceland had no boxes of fours ordinaire, so sent two more bags of the sliced ones. I would not have room in the freezer for eighteen rolls! Once again, they had none of the Jacobs Leicester cheese nibbles, and they substituted the plain cheese ones again. Bein as I am currently trying to declutter, with the help of Jill, I intend to send them back and reject these substitutions.

There! Willpower!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Made a start on this Blog

After about an hour and a half (and three more wee-wees), I had to return to the wet room to use the Porcelain Throne again.

It was the same style as the first go, but there was more evacuated product this go.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morning Carer Arrived

While I was just emptying and sanitising the almost filled up Emergency Wee-Bucket, I heard a rustling sound as the carer came in, down the hallway and disappeared into the front room.

As I came out of the wet room, I discovered it was Carer Jillie who'd come in! So, the EQ was correct, yet again! The gal soon sorted the medications for me and took things away to help with the decluttering process. ♥

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Iceland Delivery Arrives

I was a smidge proud of myself for remembering to return the cobs and biscuit substitutions. The driver put the bags through into the hallway for me, bless him. Thanked him and offered him a treat, but he refused, and off he went.

I got the fodder stored away.

The fridge was much fuller now, and the freezer... well, cram-packed full!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Waste Bags Assembled

I made another bag and added this one to the others in the box. Got them balanced rather wonkily balanced on the walker-trolley lid.

I added a bog for Jenny, Doris and Frank, and one for Deana. Set out with the following plan:

To the chute-room and drop the bags in the shaft. Down to Jenny's flat, leave the bag outside her door. Then down to the ground floor and walk through to the Winwood Court to the office with the wardens treats, then back to see if I can find caretaker Robert for a chinwag. Sounded good to me! And back up to the flat.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

To the Chute-Room

As I was putting the first bag down the tube, I caught my knuckle on the corner of the cast iron cover. The bleeding soon stopped. As I was putting the first bag down the tube, I caught my knuckle on the edge of the cast iron lid. A quick suck and the bleeding soon stopped.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Into the Lift Lobby

To catch the elevator down to Jenny's level.

Dropped off the bag at Jen's and down in the lift to the ground floor elevator lobby. Deana was putting up some posters, so I handed her the bag and walked through to look for Robert. Up in the cage, with the now emptied box and trolley walker, I trundled once more to the flat.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

HOME!

In through the apartment door...

Left the trolley half in, and half out, of the flat door. And had to hasten to the wet room for a wee-wee, yet again! I'm getting fed up of this!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Herbert was giving it some hammer!

I went onto the balcony and took these shots of the new car parking spaces. The end park is in use now, I reckon?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Nosh Prepped.

Minced beef, leeks, tomatoes and puree. Beef cube, squid sauce, and a drop of liquid smoke. Hope it comes out alright.

Updating Blog

I updated this post and then investigated the local YourArea Emagazine for interesting or annoying to copy and use.

Amazon Due Shortly

Waiting for Delivery

Then I'll get some nosh sorted out. I'm getting peckish, to put it mildly.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Depression? A pain in the perinea,

Memory loss? More annoyance in the derriere,

Peripheral Neuropathy? Vestibulocochlear,

Losing track causes unintentional logorrhoea,

Frustrations can cause sickening nausea,

Memories can be recalled of yesteryear,

But not Doctors appointments nowadays, I fear!

Waking up sometimes, with my brain out of gear,

The eyesight; Saccades assures is never too clear,

Common sense tends to disappear!

Nattering and chinwagging, I hold so dear...

I'm losing it; to me, that's not queer!

As for being adopted? Can I volunteer?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Amazon Delivery

I think, according to the tracker, the chap is further away than he was over an hour ago?

And the smell from the chilli beef stew is driving me crazy - and I still dare not go to get the ablutions done yet - and the carers might come soon - I'm pissed-off again!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Checked Tracker Again

I think the Amazon driver is getting further away than ever now? Knackered my eating a meal. Can't get the ablutions done. Carers may be due anytime now. No chance of a kip! Blungletadcrap! Ruined the day for me. They told me when I put the order in that it will be delivered by 13:00hrs today - it's now nearly 17:00hrs, and the man seems to be going in the opposite direction... I am miffed!

The Funglecraptwats have ruined my homemade from scratch minced beef chilli meal! Stopped me from getting any sleep, and I'm selly from no being able to wash and shave... And still, I don't know when or if they will arrive!!! Cragnangles!

And Herbert is tap-tapping, knock-knocking away to his heart's content up above. Snotty, superior Herbert is a ... Oh, never mind! But I do! I have never been, so wee'd off.

Checked The Tracker Again

He's miles further away now!

Starting Template for Tomorrow

Did half an hour, but my heart is no longer in it! I'm starving, hungry, pissed off, tired and likely to make myself ill with all the hassle! Gitbuggers! I'll have another look at the tracker. Huh!

Look at this bugger! A New ETA Now - not the 13:oohrs any longer, of course, but...

I'm Fed-Up!

Just thought I'd mention it in passing.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Amazon Arrives

All was forgiven when I saw the almost hangdog, down-in-the-mouth expression on the poor delivery drivers face. I offered a can of plonk, and he took it, bringing a slight smile to his face - worth a fortune thinking I'd cheered him up.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got the ablution done

At long last!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Carer Arrived

It was young Katsia. She presses the door buzzer before coming in. Hehehe! Soon got the medications sorted, and time for a bit of a chinwag was much appreciated. ♥

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Chilli Time

I really enjoyed this beauty of a chilli. Flavour rating: 9.2/10. Cleared up, wee-wee'd, had down, TV on and... Zzz!

MONDAY 9th AUGUST 2021

Crippling Colin Cramps

During the few hours kip I managed to get (Humph!), Colin Cramps gave me a pasting! I got up to get some exercise and got the Health Checks done while I was up.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Health Check Results

Considerably better figures this morning!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I got the computer on, and I found a photo that Sister Jane sent me yesterday. Terrible news, scary, depressing... Here it is...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Anticipations

Amazon Morrison order to be delivered, Morning Carer, and Warfarin INR Haematology Anti-Coagulation, DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) Blood Testing Nurse, all expected to visit me this Monday. A busy day ahead?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morning Carer Arrived

07:48hrs: No making me jump this morning. Val always presses the door chime before coming in. The gal was in a bit of a rush this morning compared to usual. Still had a little natter with me after giving me the medications. ♥

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

CorelDraw Graphic Making

I was well pleased with the results today. Saccades Sandra and Nicodemus' Neurotransmitters were both being kind to me, so my efforts were more productive and took a lot less time. ♥ The Wee-Weeing was regular this morning.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back To CorelDrawing

I'd got two graphics Diary-Top graphics done and saved for later us. (The wee-weeing was now even more incessant!) The Furesomides are doing their job, no question on that!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Food Delivery

08:55hrs: The door chimes rang out, and I fumbled my way to the door, calling out, "I'm coming!" The Peripheral Neuropathy was twitching the moment I stood up. But the mini-hallway is so narrow, I used the walls and Metal Mickey for support to get there pretty quickly. It was the Amazon Morrison order arriving.

I was taken aback somewhat at first... three bags, and I'd spent over £49? It must be right. Many items were cut to the limit allowed. Twiglets (2), fish sticks (2), and potatoes (1 bag). Not delivered, Milk Roll Loaf, Wholemeal cobs, and Pod peas!

Oh, flipping heckythump! The chicken sweet chilli chicken breasts had gone up by 50p. The pork loin increased by 20p. Had they any, the milk rolls would have been up by 25p. Twiglets up by 25p as well. Humph! Got the stuff away, had yet another wee-wee, and back to CorelDrawing. Rear-end wind and belching, a lot?

Got some spuds in the slow cooker, with some Worcestershire sauce as a flavouring.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Warfarin DVT Nurse Arrived

10:00hrs: An anticoagulation nurse came to take the blood. A nice, sociable gal she was too. We had a laugh, or two while did me.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -.

All Alone Again

And I became feeling a little blue! Boo-who! Now, no more visitors are due. So I went to make a brew of Glengettie tea.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Change of Plans...

I decided to get the waste bags taken to the rubbish chute instead. So, I did!

Got the shoes on (Five mins).

Made another bag and got it on the box with the others I'd done (Ten Mins).

Had a wee-wee (Three Mins).

Checked around the flat (three minutes).

Got the box checked for safety (One minute)

At last, I was ready to leave the flat.

Limped along with the foyer of the flats, stubbed my toe on the trolley wheel as I opened the door to the chute room.

Got the bags down the cast-iron opening, without any trapped fingers! But on the way out backwards, I stubbed the same toe on the same wheel! I did larf! Humph! I lied as well. To the end of the lift lobby, and the draught from the wide-open window gave me legs and arms goose-bumps.

Got back in the flats looby, and struggling to get the trolley back in, I made it a hat-trick of toe stubbings! Argh!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back in the Apartment

Well, it sounds posher than flat!

A heavy rain shower had made Chestnut Walk below look like a river. It didn't last long.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Brewed a Mug of Glengettie

Checked on the spuds in the microwave... no, Crockpot! Smelt nice! The water still looked red from the sauce I'd added.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Herbert Hammers Away!

I could even hear it when I went into the kitchen, to find out it was going a bit dark again. I took this zoomed-in photo of the clouds.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne Attended

Boy oh, boy, this was a victory for Constipation Conrad in the DESB (Daily-Evacuation-Stakes-Battle-for-Supremacy); Trotsky Terence was well beaten! It took me ages to get things to start.

While urging and painfully pushing things along, I succeeded with the crossword and got a few answers solved, well, three.

When the action began, it was a slow, agonistic job that took me ages to complete. Rock-solid giant meatball shaped depth-charges were released.

The stomach actually swelled up even more than usual after the evacuation? What! However, amazingly Harold's Haemorrhoids did not bleed at all; they stung a bit, mind. I was well-pleased with this and the fact that Little Inchies fungal lesion wasn't bleeding either!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Tried To Get a Nap

It was no good; Herbert above's tap-tapping was persistent and so annoying. I had to give up, and I decided to get the ablutioning done.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ablutionisationing Went Well!

Teeth cleaning started the aching off, but no too severely. Nasal Cleaning went quickly. Then the shaving... believe it not, but no nicks or cuts while I was shaving! Only a handful of dropsies!

The showering was almost perfect, just the one clout on the shoulder, which see Shaking Shoulder Shirley off for a while.

Medicationalisationing

Never gone betterer!

Dressing

No accifauxpas, whoopsiedangleplops, falls or knocking anything over. Smug Moded!

Had a wee-wee, washed the dandies, and made a brew of Thompsons Punjana.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Restarted The Computer

Uploaded the photos taken to use in this post and came across this mystery one...

Well, it's not a towel, it's not the shower curtain, but what is it, I ask?

I figuratively dug into my expiring memory. Tried to see what it couldn't be... Sherlock Mode here! I referred to my intelligence, EQ, and cunning problem-solving skills...

Nope, no idea!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

♥ Carer Jill Arrived ♥

Once again, as I was deep into trying to solve the above mystery, my nose was up to the computer screen... Jill had not rung the door-chimes again, and had come in, and was standing right behind, she said: "Hello, how are you keeping?" Made me jump that much. My first thought was Crikey; she'll kill me off one of these days! Hehehe!

Yes, I am in love again, that's several now, Nurse Christina and three carers, not to mention Warden Deana. Har-har-har!  But I didn't mind. I just appreciated that it was Jill who's came to tend to me ♥. She had arrived early to have time to offer help on the decluttering for me again, and she took a lot of stuff away for me.

Not only that, but she rang the surgery for me and rebooked the missed (my fault) appointment at the surgery for the Memory Test last Friday. She even said now we have a date (I loved that we, word! ♥), Monday 23rd August 15:00hrs, she will mention it to her boss, and ask whichever carer was on duty to remind me! Bless her! ♥

To Confusion

I miss the days of the gramophone,

It had an earthy distinctive tone,

Listening to Frankie Vaughn, my mind was blown,

Of course, the gramophone was not my own,

I had to bribe a neighbour, to get a loan,

Now I'm old and taking prednisolone,

Warfarin, Omeprazole and Fluxonazone,

Living on cheap bead and mascarpone,

Dwelling in a flat all on my own,

Sorry, if this has a depressing tone,

With Vascula Dementia, memories unknown,

I just stubbed my toe on a stone,

I had to have a little chunter and moan!
