From Last Night

Liberty-Global Virgin Media, down yet again!

Mugglefrangwaggles!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Barred from continuing with blogging again, by Steve Fries, who leads Liberty-Global and Virgin Media Internet and earns $22m plus a year for the worst internet service, now even worse than fellow incompetents, BT!

Now pee'd off in the extreme again, I took a photo of the evening sun setting and tried the internet again. No, Go!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

WHOOPSIEDANGLEPLOP One

I decided to make up some bottles of spring water with the crystals in them. Had I known what was about to happen, I would have bothered!

A 2-litre bottle of water I was pouring into a one litre one just collapsed in my hand. I suppose it must be Peripheral Pete to blame.

In seconds the water had shot out as the bottle buckled and then fell to the floor. Tsk! Still, I got a bit of cleaning up done.

WHOOPSIEDANGLEPLOP Two

I was in a rush cleaning up, and as I was getting back up, I clouted the already damaged left arm on the rough edge of the metal on the cabinet. Ah, well!

 TUESDAY 17th AUGUST 2021

0525hrs: Stirred, and I stewed in the terrible, self-depreciatory, denigrating Thought-Storms hounding me. I think I felt guilty about something. Luckily my vascular dementia cleared my memory of that bit. I've noticed it can be selective at times; the very bad uncomfortable and Accifauxpas of recent memories linger longer (Say that when you've had a few!) sometimes.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Parted Company With The Recliner

I was amazed at how easily I got on my feet, caught my balance, and moved stickless to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket). Wee-wee'd, without any PM (Pre-Micturitional) or CM (Cessational Micturitional) dribbling!

I think this was why I adopted an industrious and determined mood to get something done with the decluttering!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Starting with the Health Checks

Highly acceptable this one was.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

ACCIFAUXPAS - Five of Them!

I have to mention that when creating this graphic, I thought I'd got it right on no less than five occasions... all found after putting each one on the blog to have an error. I think I've got it right on the sixth attempt.

So Frustrating!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Undaunted - I pressed on.

I made up some waste bags to go down later. Placed them near the flat door.

Next, got some put of date foodstuffs, and emptied the contents, and now have six jars washed ready to go down for recycling.

I had a very short time shredding some more paperwork. Short, because I needed a wee-wee, took it, and forgot what I was doing and went into the Worse-Than-Steptoe & Son room, and gathered a load of bags, and put them in one large one.

Yes, it still needs an awful lot of work doing. But I could see the slightest of improvements now the bags have been removed. Hehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Started off this Blog

The bits and pieces of sorting I'd done had worn me out. Tsk!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Meridian Carer Arrived

It was Jill, and she was training a new recruit, Chaymae. The new gal seemed to pick up the system well, and on the way out, Jill took the carrier bags and oddments for the waste chute for me. Bless 'em!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Deana Arrived

Figure skater ILC, Warden Deana, came in. To do an update on my status. Which took a while. Amidst the odd comment and smile.

I asked about getting a Key Box fitted. It was soon sorted - I paid the fee, and Deana ♥ will arrange it all for me.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Facebooking Catch-up

Because of...

$22m paid Chie Executive of Liberty-Global, Virgin Media Internet going down last night, I had to catch up on Winwood Court and the TFZer site, photos.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Expected Visitors Today

Not a lot. But two out of the ordinary. One from the rehab team, a catchup session, mayhaps? I'm not sure if it's the cardiac unit, diabetes, or stroke (Which I think it may be).

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Off to get the Ablutions Sorted

Required the use of the Porcelain Throne when I got in the wet room. The best session in months: Painless, smooth, not messy and no bleeding anywhere at all! Smug-Mode!

The nasal clearing, teeth, shaving, showering, drying off, medicationalisationing and dressing, altogether had only eight dropsies!!!

Super-Smug-Mode-Adopted!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Josie Returned Tray Etc.

She didn't mention whether she enjoyed the nosh this time - cause a letter had been delivered, and bending to get it, I dropped Metal Micky (Four-pronged-walking-stick) as I opened the door, and Josie retrieved it for me.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Washed Shirt

Washed long-sleeved grey tee-shirt. Cleaned, rinsed, rung, refreshed and hung.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Trousers ordered from Amazon

Three pairs of trousers and two pyjama bottoms were ordered from Amazon. And some Hemp oil. Little Spendshrift me!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
It's not easy, but I've got to stop all this self-hating, expostulating and recriminating! By Gawd, I tore a strip and a half off of myself verbally... viciously too!
Got the photo loaded on here above. For a quick shaky-handed shot, it came out alright; I thought so, anyway.

Sarah 'Rehab Team' Arrived

I wondered earlier if she was coming from the Cardiac, Stroke, or Diabetes camps. Well, I was wrong on all counts! Humph! Sarah was from the Falls Prevention Team. Can't be right all the time, can I? Hehehe!

A charming patient gal she was too! We had a good time going into detail about my problem, bless her ♥. Sarah left feeling a little more cared for and with some good tips and advice, some of which I shall give tonight.

And feeling a bit perkier. Thanks, gal!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I decided to order from Morrisons

Also Via Amazon

I should be arriving in the morning. A lot of stuff where I wanted two or three of, were cut to a limit of one item! No pod peas, no peas and potatoes... Oh, dearie me!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Had a Nosey at the YourArea Emagazine

Well, they didn't do much to cheer me up!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Updated This Blog To Here

Carer Arrived Early

It was nice to have Carer Julie scare me to death as she came in behind me... Carer Jill remains the master at the Shock-Inchy creeping up on me - But Julie did an excellent job of it, Haha! Julie gave me a lot of help in sorting out the shortage of Peptac reflux suppressants. She phoned the chemist for the Doctors and me and will fetch me some when it's ready from Carrington Pharmacy. Bless Her Cotton Socks! ♥ After Julia had given me the medications, we had a good natter after she'd done the questions... I might add a bit of a laugh too! Lovely gal! ♥

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I made another Cock-up

Hard to believe, I know!

After Julia had gone, and my mood went down a notch, as is to be expected, mind; I meandered into the kitchen to get a brew of Glengettie made... Argh! I'd left the tap running once more! Klumpgnats!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

To make it worse...

I'd taken a snap through the balcony window of the evening view. I spent a few ever getting more agitated minutes, wondering what the hell I had done to the camera. The slide button would not release the lid to the SD card and battery slot? Had it broken? Snapped off inside, mayhaps? Argh!

Had Nicodemus's Neurotransmitters gone on strike again? Was Saccades Sandra making me see wrong?... Then, after a while, I realised I was pushing it in the opposite direction as if to close it. Worran 'orrible mood I was in!

I was getting fed up of living with myself!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got the camera lid to work

Got the Inchies Dairy Done

Posted off the link. Had a wee-wee, passed wind and returned to use the Porcelain Throne.

The legs were stinging a bit, and something that has not happened for a while: the tingling as if I had worms under the skin returned.

And washed and got settled in search of some Sweet Morpheus. It wasn't a success!

Ode To Griselda

I met this East German girl, Gawd; she was red-hot!

We went hunting; she knew all about buckshot!

She made me the finest ever goat stewpot,

She was in the police force, so was a hotshot,

I was her sex-toy, and mind that, I did not!

A six-foot-three, muscle-bound sex-pot!

And I loved doing what we did, a lot!

With me being five-foot-three, I felt a clot,

With Grizelda, I was totally besot!

I wish we had tied the knot...

She went home, and my life started to rot! ♥

MONDAY 16th AUGUST 2021

02:25hrs: I stirred, clocked the time, and drifted off again. 04:00hrs: Re-awoke and considered how I really felt this morning. After over six hours of sleep, the overwhelming tiredness of yesterday was far less. Although, it was definitely still there with me. Glad about that!
Waste bags were made and collated, ready to go to the chute. Get rid of items put on the radiator for anyone calling who could use them.
Handwashing put on the stand-up airer.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
I started to make up this blog. But Peripheral Pete and Nicodemus's Neurotransmitters were both making my concentration poor and my errors and mistypes far too many. I almost knocked the darned keyboard off of the desk at one time. Phwert! Went for a wee-wee.
All NCH & Red vehicles again?

Out Of The Recliner

There followed a serious of almost robotic meandering. So many things tackled, with not many getting finished from one job to another without rhyme or reason. I kept taking snaps of what I was up to as I did them.

My sanity really is in question here?

A wee-wee.

Potatoes in the crock-pot.

A scary trip into the sorting out room did me no good. Hehe! But I did get a box of stuff made up to go with other things.

After the terrible shock of the sort-out room, I had a look at how the food cupboards were looking. Ah, a lot better!

Moved the to go waste bags near to the doorway, ready to go. He says?

A busy hour or so, but I was feeling a lot betterer than yesterday! Sob! Sadly, I noticed the last of the fresh garden peas left...

Cleared some stuff from the wet room. And did a little paper shredding.

Call To The Porcelain Throne

Settled down and awaiting the commencement of the evacuation, I finished a crossword from the book! Well, I say finished, not completed! Because I had to look up two answers earlier on when I started number 97 (April, I think that was). I can't be called a crossword genius by any means. Hahaha!

Once the movement began, it was swift, smooth but oh, so messy afterwards to clean things up. The bruise and marks on the arm from my shoulder charging the doorframe yesterday morning were clearing up well. The minor flaws created a different pattern today.

Updating Blog

I eventually got the much changed by blogger overnight (Humph!) Monday post finished and posted it off, just in time... because...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Had a Brew - and stewed!

I made a brew of 99 tea and pondered on the latest series of Liberty-Global Failures in the scallywags internet service.

Pissed-off again now, bloody pathetic, overpaid, number-crunching, Steve Fries.

Who I think is slakeless, money-hungry, devouring, acquisitive, covetous, omnivorous, mercenary, ineffectual, incapable of providing decent internet service, but excellent at putting up the customer charges.

He lies better than Hitler and Stalin. He also baffles his own bosses with his number-crunching, pretend-profit forecasts.

He's the boss of Liberty-Global Virgin Media. Paid over $22m salary plus expenses and is untouchable, it seems.

A mafia-like character, methinks?

Still, he doesn't bother me. Ahem!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Liberty-Global Virgin Media is back online!

Hallelujah! Thanks, Mr Fries

Carer Arrived Latish

08:15hrs: The door chimes sounded. It was the morning carer, Valerie. It didn't matter much, as I am not going out anywhere, so there was no bus to miss. Haha!

Valerie got the medications sorted and granted me a minute or two natterings. ♥ Off she went, leaving a slightly saddened at her departure, Inchy behind her.

Herbert Started his Noise

Drilling, with some odd tap-tapping by way of an accompaniment for me. He was louder than usual too. I wished I could have been up there with him... no, that might not be a good idea! He must have a big job to do today.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Started Work on an Education Ode

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Herbert Noiser Than Ever!

How anyone with decent hearing can stand, this is beyond me! It is so loud! Everywhere, in all three rooms and worse in the balcony?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -.

Worked on this Update

Then tried to concentrate on the Ode to my Education. It took me ages. Every few minutes, the drilling sound emitted down to me.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Finally got the Ode Completed

Overall, in the pink. Not complaining if I can keep in the light pink; that'll work for me.

Noise From Herbert Again

Drilling, tap-tapping this time. Again so loud!

Still, as a certified 'Hero' of the charity shop, and NCH Management, and eremitic, aloof, sniffy attitude, I'd better say no more.

Ablutionalisationing Time

To the wet room. Not a bad session at all. The bruise and odd markings are coming out well enough now. Still, no bid from the Tate Gallery from the artwork? Tim Price snd Billum just can't believe it!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got the waste bags in the box

As I was getting the trolley ready to use, I had to nip for a wee-wee. Then it dawned on me, I've not been wee-weeing much at all today - I wonder why?

As I got into the foyer, I could still hear the noise from above? Sounds like someone is drilling into the enforced concrete on the floor above? Ah, well! Off to the chute room.

Just the one mini-faux-pas in the chute room. A teeny weenie trapping of the knuckles.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got the Nosh made

Sadly, the last of the garden peas were eaten. Did I cry? Of course not... the odd sniffle, maybe. The Taste-Rating was 7.9/10.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Head Down In Search Of Morpheus

But it was not to be found. I would have liked a bit of a kip before the carer comes...

But it was not to be,

So desperate was me,

I turned on the TV,

I fall asleep with the ad's normally,

Sleep was an absentee!

Then, I needed a wee-wee!

I began to dose off gradually...

The Carer came, it was Jillie!

Hehehe!

The moment the eyes lids drooped, and I believed I was going to nod off... Jill had come in again without me hearing her and bounded in the door with a typically delightful cheery, "Evening Gerry!" Frit me to death!

She was in a rush, soon got me sorted out, though. Had to shoot off her own words and bade her a sweet farewell...

All alone now!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Noticed the legs had changed?

The veins were getting a little nobbly on the surface again. The age-old ulcer marks seemed to be trying to show up again too?

A photo for the Tate again?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got this blog finished, posted and emailed the links. Knackered again!

Ode To My Lack of Education

To My Educationing

Trent Bridge Secondary Modern School

It had a bad reputation that I would soon familiarise,

Teachers not too interested, some thick, some wise,

One, who liked blonde boys; I'm avoiding him & his smiles!

It was easy for the others to traumatise,

I was skinny, frail, and the shortest in size,

I was no good at all, when I had to mathematicise,

What the teacher meant, saying that I extemporise?

I got a right load of misleading, bad advice,

Six of the best from the headmaster, but only twice!

The nit-nurse with her paint, to rid us of lice,

I can still picture this, it was not very nice,

I was well off for fun? Yes, but not moneywise,

Teachers had their own preference of punishment device,

The gym teacher, the slipper, not one on the bum, but twice!

Piggy Roberts (Woodwork), a plank of wood, never less than thrice!

Marsiniac (Marmaniac), metalwork, he'd nip your hair, he's from Katowice,

Webb, (Tech Drawing), a wrap on the knuckles, often needing to medicalise,

Keeping in his good books was my advice!

Mr Spencer would twist your arm until it turned bice,

Mr Currah, too kind to hit us, he wore bow ties,

School meals 3d, so I couldn't afford to gourmandise,

I'd eat my penny sandwich, often sitting outside on the ice,

I avoided impetigo, a fine comb I did utilise!

I wanted to learn, be clever, at any price,

But my hopes had to vaporise,

Most teachers seemed to just want to terrorise!

Education, I never got to scrutinise,

I realise this Ode's not worthy to publicise,

My mind is confused with agglutinabilities,

But if I can get a laugh, that will be my prize!

SUNDAY 15th AUGUST 2021

I woke and lay there in a heap of blobby body, pondering over a dream I'd been having, and writing notes as reminders for when I get this diary done. Here they are, what bits I can recall in any detail anyway, some of the scribblings were unreadable when it came to it.

05:00hrs: The need of a wee-wee forced me back into semi-consciousness. Then I seemed to engage auto-mode...

I used then emptied and washed/sanitised the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket) with a lot of  PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling).

Got the spuds in the crockpot, put the kettle on, and nipped to the wet room.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Accifauxpas

Going in through the door, I shoulder charged my left arm into the door frame. Tsk! Took these shots later on to use.

Porcelain Throne

It was one of the better evacuations today. Ap[art from the flushing failing and having to be repeated several times, all went well!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Health Checks

Perfectly satisfactory results for me today. The BP was back down into the amber!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Photograph Found!

While making up the graphic above, I found a picture I'd taken late last night and forgot to put it in yesterday's diary. Tsk!

Not sensational, just beautiful!

Dream Recollecting

First Dream Memories in Months

I was working as a delivery driver, my bosses were actual people who used to be over the years, and the customers kept changing to another known face?

I went to the first address of two I'd to deliver to in Hucknall, Nott's. In just that one was my beloved Auntie Peggy (Who passed away in about 1955?), and it felt so authentic, astonishing and delightful; I think I cried n the dream?

Then on to the second house, Smethwick, which had residents that kept changing into different people, all of which had played a part in my long-gone younger years. I was going from room to room, and in each one was a surprise for me; I recall a teacher from my school days, a neighbour from Brookfield Place, Mrs Duke from nearby my house, Sister Jane as a schoolgirl... I'm sure there were many more as well. Yes! My old shop Manager, Mr Gamble, from Marsdens on St Anns Well Road, circa 1960! Amazing how that came to me so long after the dream, and I had not written his name on the pad, either?

Getting back to Nottingham, I could not remember the route. I kept driving around, getting more and more lost! Oh, the van was a Commer Walk-Through. Of the style that I work with at Whiteheads Confectionery, in Bulwell in the early sixties. Like this photo below, of a British Railway one.

There is a gap in the memory or in the dream because I found myself back in Nottingham. Colwick, to be precise, and several of my old bosses from a variety of companies were in the office. This bit was not so good and a smidge worrying; Cause I put on a gas respirator and ignited a gas cylinder... The memories died from here on in? Wake and wee-wee time! Hehehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Internet Down Again! Shagblocks!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Carer Caught Me out!

I was not doing so bad today (yet) with Nicodemus's Neurotransmitters not playing up so much this morning. On CorelDraw, sorting the photo's out... A sweet but loud voice rang in my ear from just behind where I was sat! "Morning, Gerry!" It was Carer Jill, catching me out again! Haha! I wish she'd press the door-chime button before coming in. She had spectacular timing today; I had just put the bottle of spring water in my mouth for a drink; the most significant jump she's ever given me this one was! ♥

The poor gal was busy again. Doing extra hours. Still, after sorting the medications out,  Jill managed a little rushed chinwagging and listened to my tale involving the Meadows, and it was gobsmacking hoe many coincidences we shared verbally. She had to shoot off, and I sulked for a while, naturally! Well, I'm still a bit down now!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Josie's Nosh Prepped & Delivered

After a few hours slog of blogging and CorelDrawing, I prepped Josie's Sunday Lunch. She had the last of the shelled podded garden peas, but I have more for myself to do later.

I took it to Josie's door and rang the bell...

Whoopsiedangleplop!

I got in a bit of a panic... I remembered that there was something I had to do urgently, that I'd forgotten about: but by the time I'd got me and the stick back inside the door without spilling any from or dropping the food tray - I'd forgotten what it was I was going back in for!

By then, Josie had appeared, and I might have been embarrassingly swearing at my stupidity. Hope she didn't hear it!

Jodie came to ask if I was alright. (Cringe!) But she was happy enough to let me take her photo as she took the tray of fodder from me. So my discomfiture was eased. Haha!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ablutions

Took this photo of the arm before I got going.

I'll try to make a point of not walking into the door frame again. Humph!

Nasal clearing, teeth cleaning, then getting the shaving done. All went well, with only about four dropsies... Yes!
I was getting a little wee'd off with myself now!
The medicationalisationing went well too!
Then getting dressed. You'd never have guessed, I'm sure. I lost my balance getting the PPs on, and I hit the same damned shoulder again, against the door!
Haha! I was pretty impressed with the artistic bruise. That, I believe, are the scratch marks I made when it itched a bit during the night. But not severely this time; I think I even managed a wry smile after clouting the door, tackling getting the pants on again.
In my usual hair-brained abilities, I took this photo halfway through plodding them...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The showering: At least eight dropsies. I had a few mini-accifauxpas, mind you. The flipping showerhead twice, and on one occasion, it landed on my foot! Yet another toe-stubbing, Humph! Perhaps the worse one was hitting my already battered right arm against the power box on the wall.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Important Duties!

My next job was to get the kettle on and de-pod the last of the garden peas for yours truly to have tonight.

I strayed onto doing the handwashing of the long-sleeved tee shirt?

I got all done, washed, refreshed, rung-out and hung above the sink. Then got back and finished the pea plodding. Yes, the vagueness was returning again!

Freakily Fatigued?

I was unceremoniously in the depths of fatigue, mentally and physically. I found this worrying. I got my meal while I still could, for I felt things would not go very well in the energy stakes. Things didn't get any worse as I got the meal prepped and served on the tray.

Oh, dearie me! I got down in the £300, second-hand, decrepit, c1968, rickety recliner to eat the meal. It took me a while, for the hunger I had earlier had dissipated, but all garden peas and fish sticks were eaten before I fell asleep with the tray still on my bulbous belly.

I woke up and saw the mess around the chair, from the dropped tray, with accompanying mess on me, the chair and the carpet!

What did I do? Swiftly fell asleep again?

I'd guess it must have been two hours later that I re-stirred into imitation life. But the tiredness seemed worse than before I'd nodded of in the first place.

I was incapable of getting up, simply drained, and fell asleep again. (I think)
