Tuesday 28th September 2021: Inchies Day, and sometimes the odd ode that might get slipped in!

"But, Ossifer..."

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 28TH, 2021

04:00hrs: As I woke, I had the door chime ringing in my ears? ♫ I only want to be with you! ♫ I fumbled my way out of the second-hand, £300, c1968, overwhelmingly-sickeningly beige coloured, tatty, uncomfortable, wobbly-recliner, in a semi-panic - Who could in be at this time in the morning? The Fire Brigade? Josie needing help?

My mind was racing as I wobbled all over the place and opened the unlocked door... All in total darkness. The motion-activated lights in the flats lobby had not come on, so nobody could have been inside the hall?

As I went back to it, I realised that yesterday, I'd changed the tune on the buzzer to ♫ Oh, My Darling Clementine ♫? I must have been dreaming something about the chimer not working? Maybe, perhaps, possibly... or not.

Anyway, I felt a clot and returned to the front room, sheepishly!

Swollen Feet Check

Had a close look at the state of the plates.

I compared them to a similar photo I took last Tuesday. Oh, dear!

Do they look a little worse than last week? And I thought they were getting better as time went by? Hey-Ho!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Handwashing Shirt

I had a vicious wee-wee, and then I washed the shirt worn yesterday and did it in the kitchen sink bowl. All done, washed, rinsed with Comfort, and hung over the sink to drip-dry.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Health Checks

Aha, reet-good on the Blood Pressure. Down into the amber zone! The pulse was still a bit too high, but down on yesterday, so no moaning!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Updating the Blog

I made a brew of Glengettie tea, and I set about starting this blog off.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Herbert joined in, with a tap-tap there, and scraping noise too, many knock-knockings, so he was safe, I knew!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morning Carer Came

It was Sobia. And in a sober mood, she was. The door chime chimed.

She cunningly avoided having a chinwag by ignoring my talking. Clever gal! But I did get a smile as she left - which made me check my clothing; all were covered!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Finished the Blog

Which took a good while. Posted it off to Blogger. Emailed the link address and had a wee-wee.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Anne Gyna Attacked!

Gawd was she in a bad mood with me. It didn't help any with Reflux Roger having a go at me as well! Tsk!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Facebooked

Winwood Court & TFZers.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Oh, a new noise for a while. Buzzing sound, I wonder what he's using?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morrison Order Made

A lot of items were not available again. The one that is irking me is their thick Chilli & potato soup missing. I use a can of this as a base when I'm making a chilli stew for Josie. Then add my own potatoes, mushrooms and extra seasonings, black bean or BBQ sauce.

She likes this version, too. Hoggleboggle! Still, the problems: delivery of foods, shortages of petrol, etc., will worsen before it gets better?

I hope they have the ready-made beef and veg in black bean sauce meals available, and the leeks too. I intend to add some more potatoes (providing they get delivered, of course). I'll add the potatoes, leeks, mushrooms, and Black Bean sauce before cooking in the microwave. Hope it works out alright.

Cripling Cragnangles! Anne Gyna is giving me what for again!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ah, back to usual now, tap-tapping, with a few moments drilling, and back to tap-tapping again. Herbie sounds like he's in his eyeholes now.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Made a Thomsons Punjana Brew

And it tasted great! As I did the photographicalisationing of the mug and computer, the first shot made dust all over the picture?

So I got the lens brush and titivated it on the following image.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Fodder Time

At last, a decent meal was made. Microwaved chips and pork sausages, pork & pickle mini pies, with BBQ sauce and plain bread. A pot of lemon mousse as a dessert. Taste: 7.5/10. Washed the pots, had a wee-wee.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Tap-tapping, with a few moments drilling, and back to tap-tapping again. Sounds happy enough!

Head Down

Intending to have an hours kip. I was woken up four hours later by the sound of the door chime chiming!

Carer Julie Entered

At this stage, in my partial stupor and haziness, there was no doubt in my mind that it was morning, not evening!

I assumed that Julia ♥ was the morning carer. She'd been on holiday; before she went, Julia left a note to tell me that she would make an appointment with the doctor to get the INR blood test, and she had told someone at Meridian Care to advise me of the meeting.

But no one from Meridian told me!

Hence the letter about the missed appointment that nobody had told me about! Life has been getting more and more confusing recently!

Julia sorted the medications out, and we had a natter. Julia ♥ said she would phone the INR appointment for me. Wonderfully helpful gal. ♥

I thanked the beautiful American carer Julia and hoped I'd remember everything that needed to be done. 🙏

Walked Julie to the door, and she took the two bags of waste with her to the chute for me. So kind! 😢 If Julia and Valerie leave, I'd be in a pickle! Which reminded me sadly of my much-missed beloved, amazing Jillie! ♥ I hope her working from home on her computer works out well for her ♥.

The Door Chime Chimmed

It was a local Councillor, bringing forth bumf on the elections for October 7th.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Realised The Time!

This was when it dawned on me. The Councillors wouldn't be calling at this time in the morning?

My Sherlockian skills had worked out that it was evening, not morning!

Which meant I'd got dressed for no reason at all! Humph!

Updated this Blog

Which seemed to take me a couple of days to get done! Slow work, frustrating and with Ann Gyna getting worse all the time, got me into a semi-depression of sorts that I had a job to get out of.

Great News Via Email!

But I Did! When I got an Email from Sister Jane. Xyrophobia sufferer hubby Pete had been to the City Hospital today and got the all-clear on his Prostate Cancer! Which brought me out of the mini-depression. I had a wee-wee, passed wind, made a mug of Glengettie, and sang to myself, for a while, Cliff Richard, Adam Faith and Rick Nelson songs mostly! Well, the bits I could remember anyway. Old favourites seem to stay with you, though, such as The Young Ones, It's up to You, We are in Love, The Time Has Come, Congratulations etc.

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

On with the Job

Eventually, I finished this blog; I wish I could do the same for Anne Gyna's pain! And I posted it off to Blogger, and the email link was sent.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Facebook Catch-Up

I wanted to take an extra Codeine to counter Anne Gyna but had to make do with Paracetamols. Else I'd run out of the decently affective Codeines before the ensuing prescriptions arrive. I really must try to get out and get some Cocodamol tablets; it's so frustrating being in pain and not dare to take painkillers. I have to try to get out and get some.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Anne Gyna my worse ailment, a right mullarkey,

Never been worse, but I'm not sarky,

The agony has made my outlook go wonky,

My hopes and plans have gone a little shakily,

My faith had sunk into being delusory,

I'm thoughts, and plans have gone dilatorily,

My self-views seem to be getting delusionary,

Self-assessment, guilty and derogatory,

My confidence limited, even calumniatory,

My own worth, I class as depreciatory,

This is the wrong time for an Ode or Story,

Cause I'm not up to being disquisitory!

I'm not sure what is wrong with me?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Up and Onwards... or not!

Monday 27th September 2021

04:55hrs: Woke, rose from the c1968 recliner, wee-wee'd, and belched as I was relieving myself. Which brought back the crude taste to my tonsils of last night's supper.

Heartburn was detected, and that lingering burning sensation in the throat and chest area indicated that it would be advisable for me to take some Peptac straight away. Which I did!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Attended To The Health Checks

The SYS was a smidgeon up again. But look at the Pulse! 102! Blimey!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Checked out the feet

The right foot was still looking tumescent. Walking was not easy again, but no worse than yesterday. Mind you, I did have the tumble on Sunday, didn't I?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

CorelDrawing

Made a brew of Glengettie and decided to get on with creating graphics for this blog. That's how short I was; not a single one was done in advance. Humph! Got just the top two done.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

ACCIFAUXPAS

Whoopsiedangleplop

Of a most painful kind, self-inflicted!

A Toe-Stubbing!

A couple of welts came up straight away. Within five minutes of taking this photo, I had to look hard to see any signs of them? Now, this tells me something is wrong with the blood-work, mayhaps? Oh, Yes! I've no idea what, mind!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne!

Honestly! An even betterer session than yesterday. No pain, not much mess, no aroma worth mentioning, smooth, easy starting, I was feeling so happy with myself... then:

I uncautiously whipped up the pants without any regard for catching Little Inchies fungal lesion... which I paid for when I tore the dried blood on the lesion open.

Grindingagonydamit! & Gragglespitgurgle!

I was at the threshold, the ceiling of my pain tolerance, when I applied the Dakacort ointment! I hate doing this job!

Of course, I laughed it off. T'was nothing really. (I lie, well, don't I?)

Humph! Well, if things come in threes, as some believe, I've hopefully just got one more painful Accifauxpa to go yet. But, knowing my luck...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Looks Like Rain is Coming...

It suddenly went rather dark out there!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morning Carer Arrived

Richard got the medications sorted out and had a look at the buzzer. Kaputt! It was Carer Richard; the door buzzer was not working again. Now kaputt! After all the help Carer Valerie gave me, too.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Started This Blog

It was a long slog.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

CorelDrawing

Had to go back onto CorelDraw to get more page and header graphics created for later use. So, I did.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Mug Of Glengettie

I was struggling with my concentration, thought a break would help things clear in the brain-box department. It didn't! Stopped for a mug of tea.

Ended up sorting the last loaf from the freezer, put it in the window to thaw out. Then made a brew of, no Glengettie, but Thompsons Punjana, very nice too!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Heavens Opened Up!

I took some photos from inside the balcony. Not going to open the finger-trapping new windows in this downpour!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back onto CorelDraw

With a feigned, weak determination to get some graphics done on CorelDraw, I pressed on. My mind was in a widen-dream state. Concentration was hard to grasp this morning. Stubbed toe, fungal-lesion and the door chime breaking... Oh, with any luck, that'll my three mishaps out of the way? Or not!

Nosh served up

BBQ stew, beans and sausages. I'll make a note not to have one of these again. Taste Rating 5/10!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

A letter posted through Door

I'm bewildered now!

And, Natalie has already helped and booked me a blood test that I have to go to the Carrington surgery to have done, for next Tuesday. I've not heard anything from them for over two months of inactivity on the Blood Test front... I'll have to beg Natalie to help me out again. Befuddled! How come they can go for two months without any contact, no blood taken, and now find I'm 2 weeks overdue?

Evening Carer Arrived

It was Valerie tonight. The danged door buzzer was not working again! Val soon got the medications sorted out for me ♥.

A couple of minute natter, mainly about the door chime failure again. As Val was leaving, I tried swapping the batteries in the buzzer. Richard had put the one in it back to front, and the chime worked again... but this had happened before, and it stopped working the next time a carer tried it!

All a part of the  Mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, spectres, gnomai, phantasms, ghosts, the grotesque succubae, extraterrestrials, ectoplasms, spirits, or the Fata Morganas that have been sent to taunt, irritate and terminate my already limited saneness of mind?

I'd hoped for some peace, rest, ease of mind in my old age... But No!

Valerie kindly took the waste bag with her to the chute on her way out.

Bless Her Cotton Socks! ♥

Oh, I do miss Jill! ♥♥♥

Head Down

Too tired and confused to do any computer work: sleep is all I could think of. As the last burst of the sunset came into and on my feet, I took this snap of the poor old plates, looking rather rough, and giving me some hassle even when they were up on the chair and doing nothing. Hehehe!

But with all the updating to do in the morning and wanting to get out shopping for food, sleep was not easy to come by. I was fretting over the DVT letter, the magically failing door chime.

Sister Janet, Goniosynechial (Chronic Angle-closure Glaucoma) and xyrophobia sufferer hubby Pete going on his cancer-scan checkups; we are an ageing, ailing family! Which is far worse for Jane and Pete. I'm impressed with how they are coping... I think the wine helps them! Hahaha! Which reminds me, I've got a case of wine and bottles of the plonk in the spare room for them.

Time is an issue, with all the medical appointments, and in my case, failed medical appointments and my ailments making doing everyday tasks a chore that takes more time to do each day... Oh, I'm depressing myself now!

SUNDAY 26th SEPTEMBER 2021

0610hrs: Woke, wobbled onto my one swollen-footed feet, and I struggled to use the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket). No, that's not right, sorry; I struggled to get the wee-wee started. I could almost feel the wee fighting its way through... then, Whoosh! I think I might have emptied the bladder in seconds. Messy!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Prepped Josie's Stew

Veg and seasonings in, adding meat and potatoes later.

Got the spuds into the crockpot.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Snapped the end car park

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Carer Arrived

Care Fatua came this morning. I was stirring the broth when she arrived.

Fatua had done the medications by the time I cleaned up and got in the room from the kitchen. I tested the front door chime (The only external door) because she did not use it on arrival to ensure it was still operational after putting the new battery in.

Gave me the tablets. Fatua was soon off on her other visits.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Handwashing

I washed the tank top shirt, which was green when I bought it and is now blue after the third wash? Hehehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Comments

Tim & Bill to reply to. Then made a start on this blog.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne

The best session for weeks! Smooth, no pain, no bleeding, and not too messy. So, the Galpharm® tablets did their job without a doubt, so much more effective than other over-the-counter items!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Blood Pressure figures were a tad higher today. But I've had far worse.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Wee-Weeing Freer Now

The wee-wees are coming more often now. Without any reluctance to start flowing, or any pre or after micturitional dribbling whatsoever! No bleeding or pain either! Which was nice!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Sister Jane Rang

Had a natter as I was going between blogging and prepping Josies Sunday lunch. Enjoyed the natter, but had a minor Accifaupa, dropped the stick, and Josie's dish. Bit of a mess.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Sorted and on with serving

Off to Josie's door to deliver the Sunday lunch. Josie looked please with the presentation. (In particular, the small can of pink gin!) Hahaha!

Delivered on time again. (Smug Mode Engaged). Had a mini-chinwag, I wished her happy eating and returned to the flat to get the washing up done.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Prepped My Meal for later

I used the leftover chilli stew from Josie's and added more potatoes and black bean sauce. Left it to marinate, then later I can use the microwave to heat it up again, for eating. It smells good!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Jenny Called

The poor gal was not very good. She'd pulled her back when she responded to help from a 90 year+ tenant who had fallen badly. Being Jenny, she responded and sat with the chap while they waited for an ambulance, which took hours, with it being a Friday night. Bless her ♥ We had a natter I mentioned the Warfarin DVT blood test farce. But I was glad she rang, else I would have forgotten about the new Caremilk chocolate and cans of gin I was going to take for her and Nora, and it reminded me. I got them in a bag and popped down to Jenny's apartment with them.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I reheated my meal

I'm not sure what, or if I did owt wrong with this dish - but it was terrible tasting! The worst one in a long time. I just hope that Josie's was alright. Top taste rating I can give, is 3/10!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Tired and weary, head-down!

Zzzz! Woke over two hours later. Rose wearily still, had a powerhouse wee-wee; that caught me out! Hehehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Carer Arrived

I was in the kitchen, singing to myself - didn't hear her come in of course.

I think she thought 'Hello, I've got right one hear!' Hahaha!

No messing, she got down to sorting the medications and gave them me in the pot with the lid on. Naturally, I dropped the pot thanks to a Peripheral Pete involuntary Hitler salute from the right arm - explained my problem, and she picked up the tablets and put them in the lid for me. That was easier to control in the event of any salutes, shakes or shoulder shudderings while taking the tablets.

19:10hrs: She was soon off, bade her farewell, and had a wee-wee.

Updated This Blog

Posted to Blogger. Emailed the link, Facebooking, and took another dulusionary wee-wee. Seems the Furesomides are working well. Hopefully this might help clear the fluid from the ankles?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

As I see things, either Herbert was working on a smaller model, my hearing had f=gone altogether, or I missed some during my afternoon nap. But, I reckon there was only about ten incidents today!
