TFZers Stage Show!

Thursday 15th July 2021

03:00hrs: Woke, fell asleep again.

03:15hrs:  Woke, fell asleep again.

03:35hrs:  Woke, fell asleep again.

04:10hrs:  Woke, fell asleep again.

04:30hrs: Woke and got up, thanks to the need of an urgent SSAO (Sprinkly-Spraying-All-Over) wee-wee! Got to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket) and used it. There was no PM (Pre-Micturitional) or CM (Cessational Micturitional) dribbling. But Little Inchies fungal lesion had been bleeding a bit.

I was in a bit of a daze, not in complete control. And started to do things all out of sync.

I wandered into the wet room to clean and sanitise the clean and medicate the lesion - But being as I had forgotten to take the NWWB with me, I didn't do that. Tsk!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Wash and Medicationalisationing

The feet were looking okayish to me.

The agony... there's no other word for it, of ointmentating Little Inchies fungal lesion was done with great reluctance, a few winces, and the odd silent 'Argh', mouthed.

Thought I'd better take the medications, not on the Carers list.

Peptac (Duodenal Donald was brewing up, with the odd early stabbing twinges). Phorpain gelled the knees. And took a couple of Paracetamol, oiled the ear holes, and applied some Germoloid cream. Cleaned the Wee-wee bucket. To the kitchen.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got the potatoes in the crockpot.

Got the kettle on and took a photo from the kitchenette window of Chestnut Walk, the car park in front of the flats.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Health Checks Were Done!

I was pleased with the Blood Pressure being down to Stage One Hypertension!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Summoning to the Porcelain Throne
Well, that might have been a whopper-sized torpedo-shaped evacuation; but it was, without any doubt, one of the quickest ones ever! Took me by surprise. I'd no sooner got the crossword book out, and it was all over and done with!

No bleeding, no pain, and little mess, too!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ah! What a Plonker!

I'd not updated yesterdays post yet! Sad, innit? So, I got on with it. Got the blog finished and checked, then sent it off to Blogger. (The Auto-reformatting changing blog site)!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Facebook catching up next

I got caught up with the TFZer and Woodthorpe Heights Facebook pages.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Made a Start on Today's Blog

I'd done about an hour, and the morning Carer Arrived. A little later than usual. It was Nichole. Obviously, someone had failed to turn up again, and things had to be rerouted to cover for the absentee or absentees.

I was granted a little chinwag after the medications were sorted out and taken. And off she poddled hastily to her next client.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Window Cleaner Arrived

He got straight on with the job and cleaned the windows he could get at. If I get the Home Declutterers to come, it will mean more expense when cleaning all the windows. Hehehe! Still, I paid the man his money and wished him well on his rounds for today.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Glengettie Yearning Satisfied

I got the kettle on to make a brew of Glengettie tea. Then put two bags of waste into the box on top of the walker guide trolley.

Back to the kitchen and made the mug of the finest, most robust tea available to mortals. While it brewed, I took three photos of the semi-murky morning. The left, ahead and to the right.

Somehow, the clouds retain their beauty to me, even in the sunless state.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Went On CorelDraw

Still need Graphics Making

I spend what felt like an aeon making up just three graphics. In reality, I probably spent more time correcting errors and mistakes. Humph!

Hours later, I'd got a few graphics finished and saved to the hard drive.

So late now, I opted to get the meal sorted.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Prepped & Served The Nosh!

A smidge too much on the plate again.

I'll cut down, cause it causes butane,

Overeating? I feel guilty, a right villain,

I will cut down soon I'm certain,

You see, my willpower, I can't sustain,

Not only does this confuse my brain,

My weak efforts are all in vain,

I'm getting desperate. Should I try Novocain?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Tried To Get Some Sleep

No chance. Sweet Morpheus is toying with me!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Had a Go At Updating This Blog

While I awaited the evening carer to arrive.

Made a brew and took these two photos from the balcony. The sun was blasting down. Boy, was it hot out there! Yes, it was!

Sweat, sweat, sweat!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Carer Ellena Arrived

19:00hrs: Soon got me sorted out. Nice gal!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Nightie Night

I'm going on a search for sleep.

Full of hopes of nodding off...

I'm Lying!

TFZers At the Gym

Wednesday 14th July 2021

04:00hrs: I recovered consciousness and waited for the brain to do the same... it took a while. As it engaged a semi-reality, the mild Thought Storms engaged; There is a reason I should get up other than the current one, of needing a wee-wee... but what was it?

I grappled with the over-bellied body, and I got it out of the clutches of £300, second-hand bought, c1968, nauseously beige-coloured, not-working, uncomfortable, rusty, rickety, difficile, crumb-covered tatty recliner. Caught my balance quickly enough and off to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), Where I took a reluctant, sprinkle wee-wee. After which, a fair bit of  PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling) followed; this confused me a bit, the aftermath dribbling was probably more than the main event!

ACCIFAUXPAS

Walking into the doorframe of the wet room, but heroically, I clung onto the bucket! Hehe! I took the NWWB to be emptied and disinfected.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I washed up and into the kitchen to put the potatoes into the crockpot and seasoning them with a bit of sea salt.

This was when I remembered what I wanted to, or instead, I had to do this morning; The Iceland delivery is due! So, in my usual industrious way, I made room for the sour raspberry ice cream suckers that I've got coming later on by eating one from the freezer. It had to be done. Haha! I got the kettle on and took a morning view photographicalisation from the thick-framed, impossible to get at to clean windows.

It looked like it might be a sunnier day today. Not that it will mean much to me. Sour thinking there? I'll try to cheer myself up a bit. Made a brew of Glengettie tea, started singing Billy Fury's Halfway to Paradise and got the Health Checks sorted.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

What A Surprise with the BP!

The Blood Pressure had come out in the Hypertension level 2 today!

But all the other readings seemed fair enough to me.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Updating Tuesdays Inchies Day

Started uploading the photographs I'd taken and getting them and the ones from last night formulated for use. During the hour or so it took to get these done, I'd taken a total of five more wee-wees! Every one of them of the MRT (Most-Reluctant-Trickle) mode. However, no PMD (Pre-Micturition Dribble) and only short bits of CMD (Cessational Micturition Dribble). Oh, dearie me!

I'll try not to mention these wee-wees again. We can assume that they slowly wore me out at regular intervals. Cragnangles!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Iceland Delivery Arrives

Fire Alarm Activating!

The Iceland delivery arrived.

It seemed to me that I'd controlled myself when making the order this time. Only six carrier bags! I got the bags through to the kitchenette. Had a wee-wee, washed my hands, and back to put the good away, starting with the freezer. All to go in there was the naughty noughat ice-cream lollies, a milk roll loaf and wholemeal bread thins.

.

But it filled the freezer to capacity.

But there was a problem. I'd somehow managed to order five packets of four slices of cooked topside beef? And the fridge was nowhere near full after I'd put the stuff away.

They should have been £1.89 each, but five for the price of four on offer. I know I have problems with numbers and arithmetic nowadays, but how they came to charge me £8.57 defeats me? I could be wrong; of course, with my Arithmaphobia, I'm not certain. Not happy about this?

Herbert Above Banging Away Occasionally

Again!

But it doesn't bother me... Much!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Computerisationing

I got back to working on the computer. Sent off the email links. (MRTwee-wees continuing!)

Photo's sorted, and this blog Template made, and I started working on it. Then went of Facebook catching up, TFZers.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne Duties!

Well, well well, another smooth, unmessy, unpainful, bloodless evacuation!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morning Carer Arrived

Carole, I think it was, came in quietly, making me jump as I didn't hear her. Haha!  I'd forgotten about the carer altogether; she was that late.

But not her fault! Carole kicked of by apologising to me for her being late. The Fire-Alarm was still going when she arrived, and like me yesterday, she was marooned on the ground floor until the lifts could be restarted again. Poor gal.

We got the medications sorted, and off she had to trot to her next client.

Cracked On With Updating This Blog

With Herbert's Accompanying Banging!

But things seemed to be going as usual, with the Liberty-Global Virgin Internet...

Down Again!

Schpugglebogs! Grangleclomps! and Gnash!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Onto CorelDraw

Graphics needed desperately now. I managed to get a couple done.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Waste Bags Sorted

Taken to the shute room and deposited down the funnel-tunnel thingy.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Then Ablutions

All went well, apart from the teeth cleaning, I must get to the dentist again soon!

The feet looked okay?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Meal Prepared & Served

Taste Rating 7.2/10. Got to be precise! Haha!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Carer Arrived

I think that the gal must have been working for 12 hours plus again. The poor thing did look so tired and worn out. Got me sorted, and I tried to cheer Carole (?) up a smidge.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ablutionalisationing Done

I almost fell asleep in the shower; I was so tired!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Sweet Morpheus Denied Me!

Getting to sleep was not easy. The Thought-Storms were remarkably quiet, I was worn out mentally, but rest was denied me for hours! I just cannot understand why!

Grindingagonydamit! Gragglespitgurgle

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

An Ode To Sweet Morpheus

Please, dear Morpheus, let me sleep!

I need rest, for my sanity to upkeep,

Your denials leave me in a mental scrapheap!

Respite and recovery, I cannot reap,

I may return to the attention of the barkeep,

For many nights, you've made me undersleep!

Any more refusals, and I will weep?

My depression is getting deep,

I'm sick of counting the sheep!

Oded by Inchie: Sick of microsleep, and in hope!

Tuesday 13th July 2021: Diary, Photographicalisations, and maybe the odd ode, that might be told?

TFZeress Now into Acting!

Last Nights Happenings

I was working at Facebooking...

The internet dying again soon put an end to that plan of action!

Swine! Gits! Useless overpaid Fries again!

Tuesday 13th July 2021

05:00hrs: I woke. 05:01hrs: I fell back to sleep. 0525hrs: I woke up again, in need of a wee-wee. 05:30hrs, Wee-wee completed, and off to get the early stand-up ablutions done.

Ablutions

I could not find the Duraphat toothpaste?

But, the session was one of the better ones. I was stood standing there at the sink, with my feet in a bowl of hot water and Dettol, and completed the shaving operation whilst the feet soaked. Got the shaving sone with only three dropsies and two of the tiniest cuts on the chin.

Completed the scrubbing up, and I got the medicationalisationing done. All went decently well, I must say. Then the Porcelain Throne was needed - which was very handy as I was stood one hobble away from it at the time. Hehehe!

All went tremendously well. A tiny bit of blood from the Harolds Haemorrhoids, but an awful lot from Little Inchies fungal lesion! Boy, the pain when medicating him a second time! Argh!

The feet were looking much betterer.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Handwashing Done

After washing the shirt, I made and drank a mug of Glengettie tea and check the Boot's made in China Sphygmomanometer. The reliable, trustworthy, Chinese manufactured contactless thermometer both working fine.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Health Checks Performed

Not a bad set of figures!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

New Carer Arrived

Young gal. But she tried to give me a Warfarin! Luckily, my being 'with-it' a bit more this morning, I caught on to the error. I calmly explained that these are nighttime tablets, and there was only one, when tonight, the dose will be two tablets. The girl had not called on me before (I think), and others have cocked my Warfarin up as well, so I was very calm with her. The system is confusing to me, so the carers have a job of working things out for the first few times they call.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Prepped Things For The Busride To Bulwell

Turned off the computer, and I readied things for the bus ride out to Bulwell. Things seem to have helped me in getting ready, early Carer's arrival... Now I'm worried! As I thought this, my EQ spoke: "Don't get too excited!"

Out... Whoopsiedangleplops

I got down to the ground floor; the noise from the drain cleaning was horrendous! I walked through to the Wardens Den, both busy. Back and into the link passage, and I thought I'd take a photograph. Huh! Turned the Canon camera on, 'No SD Card in this camera' message. Peed-off with myself to a great degree, I went back up in the lift to collect the SD card. Damn it! I was going to miss the bus if I wasn't quick. Humph!

Back down again to the passageway.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

 Agh! Whoopsiedangleplop!

Got down to the ground floor lobby once more. I'd left the mobile phone in the flat! As I was walking back to the elevators - the fire alarm sounded! Of course, the lifts would not work now. So I was marooned! Hehe!

No way I could get up the 24 flights of stairs with the trolley. I had to wait until the fire brigade arrives. The caretakers came and tried to get the lifts restarted, but it was a long job, by which time any hopes of catching the bus were lost!

RANTING

I was fuming at my stupidity in getting into this mess. Even angrier at the circumstances of how I'd got myself in this Gawd-Awful dilemma!.

I had to wait for ages, but eventually, the lifts returned to service. So, I got up to the flat...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

WHOOPSIEDANGLEPLOP!

I got in and could not remember what I'd come up to the apartment for? But there is no chance of catching the bus to Bulwell now.

I had a frenzied, apoplectic ranting session again, all aimed at my own patheticness. Cursing,  swearing, spitting and got myself all worked up! This did Duodenal Donald, no good at all! I gulped down a good swig of the useless Peptac medicine, and I started updating this blog.

What To Do?

After much-convoluted thoughts and planning in my mind, I decided to go to the Co-op in Sherwood and get some pod peas, if they have any in stock. Which will be questionable!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

OUT AGAIN... Tentatively!

Down and along the link passage.

I called in to see the Wardens again, but both were looking so busy, I about-turned and poddled to the bus stop outside. Caught the 40 and down Winchester Street, pressing the bell for the bottom stop, but the bus didn't. Seems I'd not pressed the button correctly? Got off at the stop on Mansfield Road, crossed the pelican lights and into the Wilko store.  I came out with a kettle descaler and the three things I panned to get; a bottle of ylang-freesia freshener, Liquid Soapflakes, and lemon Zoflora disinfectant.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Down To The Co-op for the Pod Peas

The Co-op didn't have any pod peas... well, Grognangles!  Disappointed in that the cock-ups this morning meant I couldn't go to Morrison for my peas... Dammed Co-op! Crap!

But I did come out with three things that I just didn't need at all. (sounds familiar?) A Cheese Twist - £1.90. One tin of Smedley's Garden peas at 23p (30p at Sainsbury's!)  A loaf of sliced Sourdough bread (Naughty and not needed! I'm beginning to hate myself again, here!  Lemon Cheese desserts, £1,10 (They are for Josie). And a box of Essential and delightful) 99 tea bags. £2.10.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Killed Time Waiting To get the bus back...

I made my way up the hill to the bus stop. As I got within 200 yards or so of the shelter, the 40 bus arrived and shot off before I could get to it! Well, would you believe it! Humph!

Getting Mifterer by the minute today!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Options Considered

I hobbled down the hill, musing. After some considerable but inept and banal thoughts, I weighed up the options.

1) Walk back down the hill to Winchester Street and up the second steepest grade in Nottingham, back to the flats... No, maybe not!

2) Perhaps, I could have a go at doing the crossword book? Mmm!  Wait here for another hour for the next bus?

3) The only choice really; I'll walk back up the hill, down to Woodthorpe Grange Park and into the gates, up the slight hill to the Tree Copse, and down the steep, uneven gravel path, risking life and limb with the trolley guide... down to Chestnut Walk and my beloved Winwood Heights?

I'd gone so far down the hill while pondering, I found myself outside the Birds cream cake shop! Would I buy myself a cream cake, a diabetic, and an overweight one to boot? No, I was a good lad... mind you, I still bought two cream cakes... No, not for me, to treat Oberstgruppenfuhreress, Warden and Ballet Dancer, Deana, and cuddly Generaloberstess, Ice skating champion, Julie. Well, they were both working so hard this morning.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

A Grueling Walk Home Through The Park

.

Up and over the brow, down I went to the gates into Woodhthorpe Grange Park.

There were not many Nottinghamians about.

Highlight Of The Day!

As I took a breather under some trees, a chap and his dog came down the path, and I immediately fell for his elderly white Retriever/Labrador!

He had a black bag over his obviously so painfully front paw and hobbled over to me - his face spoke to me - asking, "Have you got anything for me to eat for me?" I just knew! I asked the chap if the dog liked cheese and would he mind if I gave him some on a savoury cheese curl? The man said, "He loves cheese!" So I got the cheese curl from the trolley, and the dog demolished it! His tail wagging furiously! And this made me as happy as the old poorly Labrador was!

I much regret not getting the camera out now!

Continued to the top and turned right near the top of the tree copse, and I saw the welcoming sight of the flats at the bottom.

I began the descent, doing my best not to let the trolley do the pulling!

Nearly at the bottom, all safe and soundish!

Hobbled along Chestnut Drive and dropped the cakes in the interrogation office for the gals. Noticed a bus just coming in, so had I waited for the bus, I'd have missed the wonderful dog in the walk up through the park.

As I poddled along the link corridor, Deana was coming in the opposite direction. I told her of the cream cake awaiting her return.

Through the swipe door into the decorative part of Woodthorpe Court. Hehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Home At Last!

Up in the elevator. As I got out of the cage, I took a selfie and gave you all a wave!
I hope you like it!

The feet were aching, but the other ailments were all being kind to me. The memory of the wonderful good-natured dog stayed with me.

I got the purchases unloaded on the server and took a snapshot of them.

I'm already looking forward to this evenings meal. I plan to have smoked ham and tomatoes in a sort of Dagwood type sandwich or two, with the mini new potatoes and a marmite cheese?

On the plus side, had I managed to get to Bulwell and Morrisons, as initially envisaged, I'd have spent a lot more dosh today!

Then I pondered whether I needed anything else foodwise but felt I didn't, as yet anyway. But I decided to make an order for next week, from J Sainsbury's delivery.

I stripped off all but the PP's (Protection Pants) to cool down after my exertions. And started to update this blog...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Whoopsiedangleplop!

In walked Matron Jackie! Oh, dearie me!

She told me they (Jackie and the Doctor) had got the blood test results back from the Severe Frailty Test, and I was still in the Pre-Diabetic level. She asked if I was still eating sugary things. (Thank heavens I didn't buy myself a cream cake- Hahaha!) I amazingly remembered them arranging for me to go on a Diabetic Course, then along came Covid, and they were cancelled and put on the web instead, but it was impossible to take part. I tested the site, I could not hear what people were saying. And when I still tried to join, it took a lot of help from people for me to get online - but the password they gave me, needed to access the course, didn't work when the time came. Jackie said she would look into it to see if I am still on the list for when the face-to-face meetings start again. It may have been the shock of seeing the wobbly blubbery, whale-shaped body of mine, but she shot off very quickly. Hehehe!

Ode To Today

So many Cock-ups, I can't keep calm,

No good praying or quoting a psalm,

It may time, for the funny farm?

With nausea, uneasiness, and a qualm,

And, I've just come to some more harm!

I walked into the doorframe, clouted my arm,

Tsk! Always a reason for panic and or alarm!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Carer Arrived

The bubbly young gal (Helena?), the one with the tattoos. After she's sorted the tablets. Oh, and I remembered to tell her that there was Warfarin in the pill-splitter! Me? Remembered? Yes! Smug-Mode-Engaged. Hehehe! - She had a chinwag and look at the balcony windows and learnt how the windows open. A complicated system, I think the gal may have had problems when needing to open them in other flats for people?

Off she shot to her next customer.

Planned My Battle For Control of Sweet Morpheus

I put the TV on, to pretend to want to stay awake - hopefully, this ploy might fool Sweet Morpheus? I feel sure if she thinks that I want to stay awake, she'll ensure that I don't! After all, when I want to sleep, she so often denies it to me?

Not a chance!
