INCHIES DAY: Wednesday 13th October 2021: Plus a 'Thoughts On The Day Ode'

Keith is patient... Does anyone know why?

WEDNESDAY 13th OCTOBER 2021

07:00hrs: Although at first, I wasn't sure if it was 19:00hrs instead, I stirred back into ersatz life. Soon realised, I had just slept for over six hours - and was ready for more, Hehe!

Then the Thought Storms began. What day is it? Have I missed the Carer calling? Isn't something being delivered today? Gawd blimey, the feet are hurting! Have they blown up again?

Ah! Along came the hot urine through the tubes with a bit of a sting with it. So, out of the recliner and to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket). When using the article mentioned above...

Accifauxpas!

I suffered a Neuropathic-Leg-Dancing episode, short but vicious it was! Gobsmackingly, I got the bucket down on the floor without any spillages or splashes! Which felt like a victory!

Amazed, yet I felt a smidgeon of pride in my rare, successful Anti-Accifauxpa manoeuvering! Smug-Mode-Status!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Feet Had Swollen!

The muscle in the lower right leg had sunken into the flesh? The toes were almost white in comparison with the colourful feet?

I took these shots of the state of the limbs.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Aha, an improvement this Wednesday. However, the green ranges are absent. Still, it gets me down to the Hypertension Stage 1! Only one reading in the red.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morning Carer Arrived

0810hrs: Carer Carol ♥ appeared in the room, the door chime is not working again! What the heck's wrong with it?

I've not seen Carol for a long time now. T'was a pleasure for sure. She got the medicines sorted, and we had a chinwag of great enjoyability, quality and humour.

Carole suggested I get a digital clock that shows the time in 24hr clock format. Which sounded like a great idea. I looked them up on Amazon later - but got too confused about which was suitable. I nearly ordered one but noticed in time that it was in AM PM format. Phew! Humph!

Thanks, Carole! ♥

Oh, no waste bags were taken to the chute this morning.

Comments

I caught up with comments replying to. Made a brew and heard what sounded like Herbert above had dropped a dirty great big box of tools on the floor. I hope he's hurt himself. Tsk! I meant I hope he hasn't hurt himself. Ahem!

Amazon Orders Checked

The cheaper PPs I ordered from Amazon should be coming today - By 10PM, it says on their tracker. I got all of the Tena ones left, amassed in the Porcelain Throne room. There was more than I had realised! I found some that the declutterers had hidden under the clothing boxes.

Fear not, better too many than too few?

However...

Is he bothered? No!

Made up More Waste Bags

Pottered about in the kitchen, got some potatoes in the crock-pot. Back to the computer, Mr Overpaid, uncaring Fries' Virgin Internet Media was back online. Miraculous!

BlogginG

Made a brew of Glengettie and set about creating this blog, mainly from the written notes I made as the day dragged on. Haha!

Just the one car in it this morning.

Ordered New Door Chime

Got it through Amazon. I hope it works this time! I opted for this one because it says no batteries are needed? I'm crossing my fingers that it won't be too complicated for me to it set up. I'm lost without a door chine/bell. Nurses, delivery people, Carers may all think I'm not it because I cannot hear them at the door. They can knock the hell out of the flat's door (a term used by a carer), but my being Mutt & Geoff means I just am not aware of them... Mind you, with Herbert clanging and banging away, even if I could hear...

POrcelain Throne Session

The evacuation was the easiest one for ages. A smidge messy, but I've had many worse ones this week. No bleeding at all, so Harolds Haemorrhoids are getting a break at last! Haha!

Inspected The Plates

Hey-Ho! I think that the bloating/swelling has gone down a bit? The lump of missing muscle in the right legs shin seemed to be getting bigger, mind you?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Thompsons Punjana

I made a brew of the delightfully tasty tea and had two shortcake biscuits dunked with it! Oh, I do live well!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Wee-Wees

I've not mentioned them yet, have I? They are less than yesterday, but bearing in mind I filled the grey bucket twice and took many leaks in the WC bowl, that's not saying too much. Hahaha! Had yesterdays flood not happened, today's would be considered as far too many... I got a bit tied up with the words there...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Only five times in the hour! I think he might be getting to the end of this model of whatever that he's making?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

CorelDrawing Time

Inchies Day blog. I went onto CorelDraw; I must get some graphics made, as headers on the World Famous (Two people comment on it, you know!) Then I dithered and changed my mind again, and...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

hOUSEHOLD sanctification mODE ENGAGED!

A rare pertinaciousness came over me. A determination to get the bucket emptied and sanitised, the thick jumper washed, and the kitchen floor mopped! (This scared me a bit, too!)

A plan of action was made too! I whipped off the thick jacket, took it along with the filled wee-wee bucket to the wet room again. Got the bucket sanitised.

I used bleach and soda on it and disinfectant afterwards.

Got the jacket washed in the kitchen sink and hung up to drip dry. It was a bit of a struggle with the rinsing, with the thing being so thick, but I told myself to keep nipping in the kitchenette, hand wringing the bottom parts, as it hung on the hanger, to dry.

Then I started to clean the kitchen floor. Which cost me a few injuries as I struggled to get the old mop-bucket out.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

INTERRUPTION!

My plans had to be put on hold as the intercom rang. It was the PPs being delivered from Amazon. So, I abandoned the mopping and accepted the box from the delivery driver. Handed him a can of Gin in thanks and got on investigating the new cheaper PPs.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

A Challenge This Was

I cut my finger on the cardboard box opening it. Stubbed my toe on the trolley as I moved the boxes into the spare room. Took a bag of the PP's (6 packs all together delivered!) and took one out to have a look at what they were like.

They looked a little delicate, but at this price, I can cope with that.

A bit rough around the edges, too. I'll likely wear them when I go out; there's a reason for this... hobbling is so painful, the knees hurt, the swollen feet even worse, Anne Gyna isn't too keen on my outings, and Back Pain Brenda gets very annoyed with me - Thus, if the new pants turn out to be uncomfortable to wear, what the heck! See that? A cunning plan there!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back to THe Mopping Up!

Seconds after taking this photo, to show you how much the swollen foot had gone down...

ACCIFAUXPAS

There I was. Pressing down merrily and repeatedly on the Mop-Spinner mechanism. I don't think I need to tell you this, but... The foot slipped, and I trapped the toes in a multiple toe stubbing!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Josie Rang The Chimer

I got to the door as Josie was giving up again, and going back into her flat. I tried to explain why she could not get to return the tray and things from Sunday, told her about the door chime problems. Explaining again, that she can always open the door and come in, or leave the tray and things in the hallway. Josie explained why she couldn't get me... But it was all a stunted, unreal, farcical discussion. We both have dementia, Josie worse than me, I think. We are both deaf as well.

I told her of the new door chime coming that didn't need a battery... I think much of what Josie said to me and visa-versa was lost into the ether seconds after the words were spoken!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Graphics Needed

I went onto CorelDraw; I must get some graphics made, as headers on the World Famous (Two people comment on it, you know!) Inchies Day blog.

Got just two done, but felt that was a decent effort, with how I'm feeling at the moment. Suddenly weary and tired again.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Should I Get Something To Eat?

Yay, or Nae? That is the question. Mind you, the Carer is due shortly, so I'll leave it until the evening Carer has been. It should be Valerie, I think. Hope she enjoyed her break. So, I ate... 8.8/10 I did rate!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Balcony Photos

Just beginning to get dark now. I'll try to get some decent photos.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Waste Bags To Chute

As I was taking the bags through the lift lobby, Carer Valerie appeared from the flats at the other end of the building. She held open the chute room door for me to get in and out. We walked back to the apartments, and Valerie got the medications sorted out and served up for me.

We had a brief chatter between us, and off the gal trotted. ♥

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Downhill Then

No sooner had Valerie departed, the fatigue and dark depression came over me. I was not capable of doing much. Although I tried to work on a graphic, my heart was not in it, and I gave up.

Washed and down into the recliner, and I spent a while just waiting for sleep to come. The mind undisturbed by Thought Storms, I don't think I had the mental energy to bother?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Whoopsies, errors, more than my fair share,

Frustrations, far too many to bear,

Things happening, of which I wasn't aware?

At times I yearned for a wheelchair,

Toe-stubbings & tumbles here and there,

Vascular Dementia, causing much despair,

Of course, that's something you can't repair,

Occasionally, I'd just sit here and stare...

Then off for a wee-wee, taken with care,

All in all, it was a daytime nightmare,

No thought of logic, like being self-welfare,

But I'll fight it - I do declare!

I'll do my bestest, anyway, I swear!

INCHIES DAY: Tuesday 12th October 2021

♥ Touch of Class Here! ♥

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

TUESDAY 12th OCTOBER 2021

I've been up all night again. Finished off the Facebooking. Drank a lot of tea. Did a lot of wee-weeing. Sent the email links off. And I carried on doing the local news-gathering from the Nottingham Email mag. If there is any worth a laugh or other emotion-prompting, it'll go in today's dairy. Nowt much, apart from crimes, assaults, stabbings etc., disheartening it is. This is all!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Started on this template

As I did so, the flipping 'Hum' started. As bad as last night again. Like someone had turned on a tap or hose-pipe suddenly?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Chrigglebogsnot, Wallabangbang and Grobognangles...

Fries mucks my plans up again!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I managed to get the tests all done with a wee-wee, mug of spring water and a Co-codamol later.

Not such good figures this morning. None in the green, but I did avoid going into the hypertension Stage 2 by a gnats whisker, Phew! Tsk!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Kip-Time!

03:00hrs: time to get my head down. And hope I can get up before the Carer arrives, and they don't have to wake me up - I'm always half-out of it when that happens and foggy-brained. Hehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Woken Up By Carer!

It was Carer Fatua, who cunningly didn't press the door chime to let me know she was here, and then crept right up and over me to wake me up. I must have jumped a bit - I could not tell what she was saying with her facemask on but sensed a smile developing under the mask fabric, at my nervousness. Hehehe!

I was ordered to sit down to take the medications. I wasn't going to be intimidated, oh, no... It just happened that sitting down was what I intended to do next, anyway.

Suspected Inchie-Fib Identified!

I was feeling a smidge muddleheaded and discombobulated but sensed the tablet taking went alright. Fatua departed, leaving the waste bags on the box near the door for me to take... So, I did that next job!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Waste Bags were gathered from the top of the box, taken to the chute.

No injuries, Accifauxpas or Whoopsies!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Feeling Peckish

Solved the problem!

The Furesomide Flourishes!

With the Morning Carer not turning up yesterday morning, meaning I had to take the Furesomide six hours later than usual.

After phoning Meridian Care to let them know about it and taking another this morning; The body and bladder are in turmoil! Little Inchie's fungal lesion has started to bleed; through being handled so often. The wee-weeing has never been more troublesome and repetitive!

Everything I tried to do from here onwards was interrupted by my frequent visits to the Emergency Nocturnal Bucket. The pre and after leakages were unavoidable, with the bladder determined to jet-hose the urine all over the place on every visit! Then, of course, medication's and or cleanings had to be done after many of the bucket visits.

A bloody good job that I have a decent stock of the PP's in store. Phew!

Yet another Stuck-in-the-Flat, day. Sore extremities, rumbling innards, wee-wees rally rampant... I'm getting fed up! Even worse now... He's off again... I'm just lucky, I guess?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Amazon-Morrison Due

I'm the next drop. Checked the Amazon tracker, and I found the delivery was due soon. So I took a wee-wee and got myself down with the flat trolley guide to meet the driver. And just got there in time to catch him.

The driver crammed all the parcels onto the flat trolley guide, two bags would not fit on it, and he wandered off... Thank you very much!

Up in the lift, going so far and returning for the bag I had to carry. Only just got inside the flat, and the Furesomide inspired wee-weeing was needed again - no delaying it, luckily I was right outside the wet room door at the time of the urge arriving. But I didn't make it on time!

WHOOPSIEDANGLEPLOP

I had to clean up again, get a new pair of PP's on, and treat poor old badgered, battered Little Inchies fungal lesion!

Things were so bad, I took a CoCodamol!

I went through this procedure so many times during the day - I'll try not to mention it again. Shagaches!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Sorted the Fodder

At long last, I got around to putting the food away. Luckily for me, no frozen foods might have thawed out during the cleaning and medicating marathon session in the wet room!

Fridge items stored away first. Then got some potatoes in the crock-pot, intending to slice a couple to use in the Beef in Black Bean Sause meal. (Wee-wees, agony, and bleeding permitting, of course!) I can't believe the problems I'm having with taking one tablet 6 hours late yesterday. Sorry to mention it, but I've just wee'd yet again and had to empty and sanitise the bucket. It was so full!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Cleared Rubbish to Chute

ACCIFAUXPAS!

Clonglegrips!

I didn't get back in time from the chute room for a leak!

I'm getting so annoyed by, frustrated with, and exasperated at this embarrassing situation with the torrenting wee-wees!

Well, with the failure to get to the bucket or toilet in time, anyway! Having to spend ages cleaning, ointmentating and suffering near agony with poor Little Inchies fungal lesion!

The worst thing is none of it is my fault! I'm on my third pair of PP's of the day now! Had the Carer arrived on or near time yesterday morning, none of this would be happening to me.

Still, I should be used to the failure and shame by now: I've had plenty.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Working on the Computer

But I'm not doing very well, progress wise. The insatiable thirst for tea and water, the crazy uncontrollable weeing, the pain of having to treat Little Inchies fungal lesion so often... and now the bladder is burning inside, well it feels like it is, anyway. Moaning on a bit there, wasn't I? Sorry!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Should I Ring The Doctor?

I might be able to get an appointment for some time at the end of November to have the bladder, swollen feet, Furesomide problems investigated? Hahaha! Then again, will I still be alive by the time an appointment arrives for me?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

TOES TURNING UP?

Hahaha!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Pain & Pressure Getting To Me!

Ashamed to say that I knocked on the ceiling back at the dismissive,  disrespectful, pococurante personage above, this time, in response to his noise making. Naturally, it didn't make any difference. Herbert just carried on banging, tap-tapping and scraping!

I'm not doing very well today!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Nearly Tea Time Already

I've got very little done. Maybe I'll make the evening meal early... yes, why not. Potatoes and Beef in Black Bean Sauce coming up! Off I go into the kitchen to prepare the feast.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Rain Falleth!

A dull yet appealing view.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Meal Prepped & Eaten!

Chinese Style Beef in Black Bean Sauce, with added potatoes and leeks. However, for some unknown reason, it tasted nothing like the one I had last week; it was the same brand as well! Cooked for the same amount of rime, I even served it up in the same dish?

Flavour Score: 6.8/10.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Nodded Off Again

Washed the pots and counter, sat down and drifted off into a deep but mentally disturbing slumber. I can't say what I was dreaming about cause I have no actual memories (again!). But as I woke up, I felt uncomfortable, ill at ease?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Carer Arrived

Carer Julia arrived to sort me out. Spared me a laugh and little gossip after the medications were sorted. ♥ Then took the bag of waste to the chute for me. ♥

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Updated this Blog

Posted it to Blogger, went on Facebooking and got my head down.

Ahh! Nice!

Up or A Wee-wee!

And what a marathon session it was!

Took a final photo of the rain-drenched view, with the lights coming on.

So tired again, poor old chap!
