6:00hrs, I woke, feeling rather old,
Finding crumbs in my tummy fold,
Nocturnal nibbling, I growled!
Again, I had sinned and fouled,
To the Porcelain Throne, and it must be told,
It went well, no pain, no blood!
Although a little like torpedoes of mud,
In fact, it was pretty good!
A brew, thoughts of widowerhood,
I fell over with a thud!
Didn't half make me feel a wud,
Start the blog, I think I should!

Computerisationing 06:20hrs
I started sorting out the photographs to use in yesterdays Inchies Day. I kept wandering off what I was doing as the idea for the above ode came into my memory-challenged brain. Went for a wee-wee. After this, I forgot what I was doing and started prepping Josie's meal things. Made a brew of Glengettie, next I had another wee-wee, back to the computer, forgetting about the photos and made up the poem. I thought my body was smelling a bit iffy, so I stopped and had a wash-up. Confusion Colin was creeping in...

Had another enthusiast hosepipe like wee-wee, made a mug of Thompsons Punjana tea; the tea-caddie was nearly empty, so I refilled it from my stockpile. As luck would have it, I had a few to hand. Hehehe!
Back to the computer I went. I farted about going from one job to another; got myself in a bit of a pickle mentally, doing this.

The Brain was refusing to communicate!
I was battling with the mind and not necessarily winning. I still kept wandering of the subject at hand but somehow got around to starting this blog going again.

Carer Arrived 07:50hrs
Accifauxpas
Another new carer arrived. He was a youngster who seemed a little nervous to me. So, I made a point of appearing all relaxed to calm him down.
He soon got into it, bless him.
Whoopsiedangleplop
But I made a mess of taking the tablets, thank you, Peripheral Pete! First, dropped the bottle cap, then the tablet box. Then, finally, I had to get down on my knees to look for the dropsied tablet pot; it had rolled under the cabinet...
I thought! But it hadn't! The Carer had picked it up, and I'd not noticed until I got down on the floor to find what I reckoned was the tablet pot, was, in fact, was a lost pot of evening medications from weeks ago! Fool, me!
A good job that the Carer was here, else I may have been down there all day! Tsk! I tried to use humour over the incidents. In case the Carer was bothered, but he wasn't. So I thanked him, and off he shot.

Another wee-wee and brew of Glengettie
Wee'd made a mug of tea and took these shots of the beautiful morning view. You can see the kitchenette window frame in the first shot, thick innit. Just about like me. Hehe! Go on, laugh!
Prepping Josie's Meal
Got the steak cooking and made the gravy, soaked the peas, leeks, and beans to marinate. I put some small potatoes in the crockpot to have later while watching the Italy v Wales Euro match. But I found more diseased ones again...
So, that's Morrisons, Iceland and Sainsbury's selling crap. But maybe it's not their fault. The weather, perhaps?
Or they have caught the new strain of Covid-19? Haha!
Eurgh!

Waste Bag Duties
At last, Nicodemus's Neurotransmitters were working, so I made up some waste bags and got them to the chute and deposited them.
Took the tray to her door with some extra treats. A dish of braised beef in gravy, with potatoes, peas, onions, carrots and leeks.
(A good lot of cleaning up to do now, Hahaha!)

Checked on my Football Meal status
The pan of my stew wasn't looking very attractive, but still.
I nodded of just before the game started!

Woken Up By The Night Carer
Another first-time carer called tonight. The lady seemed to know what she was doing. With me being half-asleep, the conversation was at a minimum. Did me in no time.

Ablutions Tended To Nice!
Took my time, no rush, and enjoyed a long, careful session that had its dropsies, of course, but avoided any Accifauxpas and Whoopsiedangleplops worth mentioning.
Until that is, it came to the dodgy job of medicationalisationing, and Neuropathic Pete's usual lousy timing in his failing nerve ends!
I'd run out of Germoloid. So the new unknown what it is shoulder and stomach lesions had to be done with the last of the cheap antiseptic.
The body might be coming out in sympathy with the blighted potatoes? Hahaha!
Anyroad, this ointment didn't half sting a bit!
The Germoloid for the rear end piles was so easing; I've a spare tube in stock of that. I'll order some more Germolene from Amazon later on, that is if I remember, of course. I'm confident I will... Ahem!

Handwashing Sorted 19:25hrs
Wee, Tea, Made Pickled Cucumber!
Wee-wee'd washed and made a brew of Thompsons Punjana, all delightful!
I sliced them thicker this time, just to see what they came out like. Then, I put less demerara sugar in and used only pickling and wine vinegar. I hope in the morning to be satisfied.

Updating of this blog 21:10hrs
I got the latest photo's uploaded, tweaked and in the blog. I was struggling with nerve ends failing and returning, most frustrating!
At this moment, I took another wee-wee... And what a marathon it was! I'd used the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), and I thought the thing was going to overflow; such was the sudden force blasting out from Little Inchie! And I'd been having reluctant, 'Wait for it to start' sessions all day - most confusing!
And the PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling) passed more urine than the wee-wees have been earlier in the day did!
I hope that the infection has not returned. This will mean my having to go and see the stern, uncaring young Urologist doctor - and being commanded to stop drinking proper tea and go to the decaffeinated crap! I tried it last time, and it is the worst brew I've ever had. It didn't even taste like tea! Horrible! Eurgh!
I remember when I went to the St Annes Clinic to see her, and I merely mentioned that I wear Protection Pants: She'd got the wrong message, assuming I was making for some? And defended the NHS not supplying them anymore, only pads, so she cannot give me any... I pointed out that I didn't know that the NHS provided them anyway and always had to buy my own. Gawd, she was in a bad mood!

Those numbers do not look bad at all, they have certainly been worse...so I shall call it a hat trick, hat trick reminding me to ask how events fared in the land of the Welshers against those Italianos. Been trying to keep up with the latest Covid News. Wonders how the variant of the month might turn into a wingdinger.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your usage of "anyroad". A new one for me...not old hat...nor a hat trick. Whatever that means.
Good that the Carers have been treating you well. Comparing them in my mind with that miscreant at St. Anne's. A kind of cold-water blanket sort who specialises in Schadenfreude.
Bringing up English usage again, right here, right there, right now. Hope the link is better than the epic fail regarding card readers:

Me hopes yer enjoys these scant known words. "Interrobang" is my personal favorite.
G'Day Cobber. (Well, it made a change from Good Morning Billum; a variant not so nasty as the Covid ones, mayhaps? Hehe!) Variable variants and variolations, verify and varify the validity of the vaccinations' possibly?
DeleteFor the Welshmen, a 1-0 defeat, I fear, but they can still qualify. 👍
A much used word, anyroad, from my tender years. Sweey memories of Dad; "Anyroad, if you do that again, its the belt for you!"
I had to look up Schadenfreude empfinden. Of course the moment I saw the translation, it came back to me. Har-har!
Thanks for the list of words, I only knew five of them, and have copied the photo, so as to use some of them in my personal dictionary, and the blog. Bless you, Sir.
"Brain-Out-of-Gear-Mode"
Interrobang, I wonder how to get that on alt-codes to use? I like it!
Putting a 'family graphic, with HRH Lisa, your good self and muggins in todays blog (Monday) It took me so long to get it made, and I enjoyed doing it. Not the Tower of London to go with your beefeater outfit, but I like the way the butler is looking after HRH... Got you thinking, I hope? Hehehe!
TTFNski, and Merci Mon Ami's.

DeleteLooks like you got shoulder blight alright. Nice photos and a wet looking day. 21:35 and the sun is still up. The sun has been to bed for over an hour by that time in these parts. I think a pickled cucumber is an oxymoron, but is sounds good.
ReplyDeleteHi, Tim,
DeleteFound a 'Blight' on the arm as well this morning. Here we go again? Hahaha!
Looking at the next item, paragraph, Tim, it was 21:10 on it; I'd say one of them if not both may have fell victim to my dyscalculia confusion. Hehehe! Thought I'd done well to, I should have known better.
Glad you mentioned the pickled cucumber, Tim, I might not forget about having made it now. Hehehe!
