Two TFZer Oz Gals on the Beach

 - - - - - - - - - - - -

There's not going to be much in this blog, folks. A busy day ahead. (Planned, at least) I hope the carer comes early to get the bus to Morrisons for the bread, treats, leeks and potatoes, and other sundries.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Then get back in time for the England v Germany match in the Euros. Not that I honestly have a lot of faith in a victory, but there is a possibility... I hope, of an England win? MY EQ tells me we will win? Can he be wrong for the first time? I do hope not! I'll most likely fall asleep at half-time and miss the second half! We'll see.

Of course, if the carer is three hours late again, there will have to be another enforced change of my plans for the rest of the day. Tsk!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Wee-wee, Kettle on and did the Health Checks

Damn it, the Blood Pressure was back up again. Ah, well, can't be helped! But, on the other hand, I imagine that the three-hour late given medications yesterday morning might have played a part.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne Visited

I anticipated another struggle again. But no! All very smooth, although a little messier.

While I was in the wet room, I got the Ablutions tackled. In case the Carer came early... Oh, dearie me, what am I saying?

Then washed a long sleeve t-shirt, done, rung and hung it over the sink.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Waste Bags, Photo & a Brew

Waste bags made up. Placed in the box on top of the walker-guide trolley.

Photo of the late morning view.

No Carer yet, but it is early for them.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Carer gal ♥ arrived, sorted me out

Rushed about to get the bus on time to Morrisons. Fingers crossed!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Route to the Bus Stop

Along the passageway to Winwood Court and the ILC's Holding Cell, and I managed a chat with ILC (Independent Living Coordinator),  Oberstgruppenfuhreress, Warden and Ballet Dancer, Deana. Unfortunately, carer Nichola passed, and we had little laugh between us.

Right made my day that did!

Off to the bus stop, where I had another gossip with Christine, Jean and few others. I do love a verbal get together. Took a couple of photos, Winchester & Winwood Court

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Bus Ride To Morrisons

The pains from the ticker were easing off, but the sin was looking welmish a cadaverous pallor. I expect it to gain some colour as the day goes on - I hope so!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Morrison Shopping - Accifauxpas!

I looked at the timetable for the L19 bus, 50 minutes past the hour. (Hehehe!) and decided I could get the stuff and be out in time to catch the next bus home.

I got carried away and bought far too much fodder, but I wasn't bothered in the slightest at the time. I just wanted to get home in time to watch the football match. I had a funny turn at the check-out; a chap came to ask if I was alright and tell me I looked terribly ashen! Thanked him for his concern. Feeling a little better as I did so.

I left the store with the walker bag packed, and two large carrier bags hanging on the handles!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

To The Bus stop Whoopsiedangleplop!

What a dunderhead! I'd got the time wrong for the bus home earlier. It was 40 minutes passed, not 50! Hence, I missed it, and the next one was due in an hour! Humph!

What to do?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I decided to walk into Bulwell -Fool!

It was a decent walk, and it was cluttered with the damned Escooters!

The feet were stinging, I had hobble faster than was really safe, then Back-Pain-Brenda started to play up. Eventually, having avoided being knocked over a couple of times, I arrived in Bulwell Front Street.

I had to abandon my belated plan to buy a watch strap, as when I got in the Market Place, there were only a few minutes to spare before the bus departed, so I made for the platform.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Knackered Out, I got on the Bus

When I took off my Andy Cap and put it on the Trolley guides basket top, the sweat partly filled the grey tray and ran down my head into the neck area - most uncomfortable!

Whoopsiedangleplop!

But worse was to come... The wild ride of the old single-decker bus, the jerking and bouncing over the speed bumps, started poor old ailment Back-Brenda off again, and it was agony; I had no painkillers with me either.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back To Winwood Heights

After the hour-plus uncomfortable ride back to the flats, I was not in very good shape physically or mentally, I'm afraid.

I took it steady; on the way home, Back Pain Brenda was not getting any better. Limping through the connection passage twixt Winwoo and Woodthorpe Courts.

I did stop to take photos of the overgrown weeds that had taken over the grass area in the rear seating benches area. They might be weeds, but they looked so beautiful.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Passage, Lift Up to The Flat

I got the Morrison things sorted out, opened a carton of orange juice, and sat down in the £300, second-hand circa1968 recliner.

Took off the trews, pain-gelled the feet, knees and back as best I could. Got the football match on the TV and treated myself to an ice-cream lollipop. Then, I was just too tired to do anything else. I fell asleep at halftime.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Carer Jane Arrived

She watched a little of the game with me, and we gossiped a bit in between. Nice gal.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

And What A Result!

So, my EQ was correct again in his forecast! This is too much joy for me, you know... First, France going out (Divine Bliss), now England win.
Finally, to end a 55-year wait for a knockout tie victory over Germany! Grrreat!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

UpDated This Blog

It took me hours to catch up to here.

Made a meal, braised steak in rich onion gravy, and some spuds and peas added.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got this Diary ended & Posted

Not sure what happened afterwards? But I woke up several hours later, not even remembering eating the meal?

Ode To The Day

A day full of abnormality,

Little if any practicality,

Nowt to make me feel jaunty,

France losing brought some merrity,

Beating Germany, great gaiety,

Whoopsiedanglepops being in the majority,

Oh, I've just managed a wee-wee,

There's a reason for some glee?

Shit! Stubbed my toe, silly me!

- - - - - - - - - - -

Palmed in a haze of instability,

Which may appear to be stupidity?

By the losing reality, Inchy,

Likely, it's his worst ever ditty!

Monday 28th June: Diary, graphics, photographicalisations, and the odd ode.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Good Morning!

Morning Thoughts

In terrible Rhyme

Finding the will to get up was a bit of a fight,

Catching my balance was a fright,

I'd got the shakes and wobbles, alright!

Felt an itch. Have I got a parasite?

From worrying there is no respite,

Still, today, I hope for some delight,

But of course, the chances are finite,

Another night with no moonlight,

I should be cheerful, with hindsight,

But there's not much of that insight,

Passing on the Throne is quite tight,

More dangerous than dynamite!

Stirred Back to Imitation Life...

0515hrs: Woke up, fought off the desire to go back to sleep (It wasn't easy!)

Finally, caught my balance after struggling to free my bolus-shaped belly from the second-hand, £300, second-hand recliner.

I nearly went over. (Phew!)

Got the spuds in the crockpot...

These Iceland potatoes are famous this season for their blight, cracked skin, and selection of funny faces. Hehehe!

I investigated what seasonings were available to add to the spud in the bowl.

There were indeed no shortages of options. I went for a drop of liquid smoke and some roast chilli. I'm not sure why cause one cannot taste them after they are cooked? Or is it just me?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Looking a little glum outside

Got the kettle on and took these shots of the rather drab looking morning views from the thick-framed kitchenette window.

Made a brew of Glengettie... and the need to use the Porcelain Throne arrived... However, it turned out to be a false alarm?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Tackled the Health Checks

And what an absolute super-duper set of figures were recorded!

Blood pressure down to Pre-High for only the second time ever! Into Smug Mode.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne Second Visit

When I'd got settled on the raised seat, I could sense this time; things would move - but it was a long, patient, crossword puzzling time before any activity matured. Tsk!

At least I did a bit better with the crossword puzzle this time while I spent ten minutes awaiting some activity from the rear end...

Once the evacuation began, so did the pain. Arghh! Well, it was nearer agony!

Insult to injury, it was a right and proper messy affair. Requiring much cleaning up and medicationalisationing!

Yes, the Germoloids for Harold's Haemorrhoids, that was okay, no bother...

The Phorpain gel, nae fuss.

But the Daktacort, Oh, dearie me! Little Inchie wasn't too pleased either. Ugh!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Computerisationing

And what a farce. I'd forgotten how to do some things, made a mess of changing the default page, Blogger kept changing my formatting all the time, and I can't find one of my SD cards! I gave up because I was not getting much done and working myself up over my failures.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Waiting For The Carer To Arrive

If the carer comes early enough, I'll try to get the ablutions done quickly, then catch the bus or walk down to Sherwood... Ah, No! Soddit! I've got the can opener being delivered today from Amazon. Huh, stuck indoors again!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Carer has not arrived Yet?

Oh, dearie me!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Computer off - Waste Bags Collated

The box on the trolley is now getting full, and there are more to add later.

Whoopsiedangleplop

I thought being active would calm the ticker down; it seemed to be racing away with my not having taken the Bisoprolol (Beta-Blocker) yet.

So, I set to and got the kitchen floor swept and mopped up. Not too bad a job was done...

However, partway through the job of sweeping and mopping, I had a zemblanity Accifauxpas!

The base of the long-handled dustpan, bent as I leant on it, and is now broken, and the handle bent. Tsk! I squashed the waste bags down in the box on the trolley and got the broken plastic and distorted handle crammed in it.

This idea of cleaning up was beginning to get a smidge dangerous. Hehe!

Sister Jane rang as I was finishing off the mopping. So we had a natter until her Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G, Qualcomm® SM7225 Snapdragon 750G 5G mobile phone with its Quad Camera, and 24GB RAM mobile lost its signal.

Jane rang back, and we resumed the three-way conversation with Xyrophobia sufferer hubby PetePete joining in. Until Jane heard a knocking noise and thought it might be the carer at the door, so we parted. Ending our chinwag rather abruptly.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

09:10 Hrs: Approx

Still, no Carer arrived. So I got on with a lousy stand-up wash, cleaning teggies, shaving and medicationalisationing session. Then I got the made in Pakistan long-sleeved blue checked thick shirt hand-washed.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Made Inquiries about the Carers absence

First, I thought I'd ask Deana what I would do under the circumstances I'm in. The call was diverted. So mayhaps ILC (Independent Living Coordinator), Obergruppenfhüreress and Lap-Top Dancer Deana, is away on holiday. Or perhaps at a big meeting? Maybe she has been sent to another complex elsewhere as absent staff cover?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

So, I called Meridian

A cheery voice, almost singing, replied, "♫ Yes, we're running a little late!♫ I'll call her... (the rest not heard). Ah, well!

Got the things to put ready to use.

 - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Cleaned the Electric Fire Area

I got down on my knees with the bucket of soap and cloths and gave it a good scrubbing and was pleased with the result.

However, the joy was short-lived.

The job of getting back up onto my feet was a mammoth, painful, nae, excruciating task. That took me a long time and many failed efforts!

Which brought on a Smug-Mode, when I eventually got up. Hehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Aha! Carer Natalie arrived! ♥

11:00hrs: Lovely to see her! She apologised for being so late and got the med's sorted quickly,  so I got my belated Beta-blocker.

I'm sure it was not her fault. We managed a natter while she did her thing, and she left with a thank you gift, in good spirits.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Minutes Later, Nurse Hristina Arrived ♥

By gum, I'm doing well for pulchritude here today! Hristina was pleased that the builders were making more car parking spaces. Bless her, she has struggled again today to get parked up! We had a chinwag while she took my blood sample. Which made my day!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Minutes Later the Amazon Delivery came

The Box. The Carton. The blood!

I'll need some help in setting this one up.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Did Some Updating

Feeling a little drained now. So, I'll get something to eat, then sit down in hope of getting snooze in.

Smashing chicken chilli meal.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Marvellous, I nodded off watching the Croatia v Spain Euro Match!

I woke up with a jump and desperate need of a wee-wee around 18:40hrs, and I lunged for the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), and as the flow shot out like from a hose pipe...in came the evening carer, Carol.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Embarrassment Par De Excellence!

The carer pulled back from the doorway... but I'm sure I heard laughter? Hehehe! I'm only joking! The gal was amazed at how late the morning visit was. We managed a mini-natter while she did the medicationing.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Computer Back On

I washed the pots and got on with updating this post. And got it posted off to blogger.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Evening Ode Sorry about this!

Head down at long last,

Full, content after my repast,

Today has been a turmoil blast,

A wonder I didn't need a plaster cast!

The errors, mistakes were all vast,

On the Porcelain Throne, I was nearly gassed!

The stomach has acquired even more ballast,

Today's Whoopsiedangleplops, can't be surpassed!

Hello, my past life just shot past?

Woke to Thought-Storms

05:00hrs: The thought storms were raging, so many little and large worries and concerns milling about at the same time.

The fridge leak, will Little Inchies fungal lesion be bleeding? Will the carer be late, should I have a shave and do the teeth before they arrive, and have a shower afterwards? Will Saccades Sandra be kind to me today? These and other frettings rampaged on for a few minutes and were then reduced to a lower urgency level when the Porcelain Throne needed urgent attention - a semi-panic to get to the wet room in time began...

I fumbled to get my grotesquely stomached body out of the £300, second-hand, c1968, horrendously grungy coloured, eyesore of a haemorrhoid-testing, rickety, unfit-for-use, recliner, in a desperate effort to get to the closet in time! Oh, dearie me! I genuinely believed I was not going to make it!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Porcelain Throne Session.

Boy, what a Kerfuffle.

I hobbled, limped and rushed to the throne, and plonked my mass of a body down on the seat. Then I waited for the wind to escape of its own accord and waited for the motion to start!

It took a while, but the rumbling from the innards assured me that the process was being activated, as the various aches and pains indicated. This gave me time to inspect the injuries I'd gained in the frenzying rush, to get seated in time. (And then wait for ten minutes for something to happen?)

few seconds of sharp pain as the motion finally began... then a smooth mega-long flowing of the over a foot long evacuation product, and oddly, as it finished, a wee-wee, also of marathon proportions, flowed! I've never known a wee to last so long. And there was over a minute of PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling). Tsk!

Surprisingly, one flush cleared the lot away. But there was some bleeding from Harold's Haemorrhoids, I assume.

I envisaged the snotty, Gastroenterologist at the next appointment saying: "I told you to drink only decaffeinated tea!" Hehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Health Checks Completed

A shame, but the blood pressure had shot up again this morning, and the Urine Health was up to number five level. Hey-Ho!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

A Brew and Photo of the View

The Glengettie was delightful to drink, but the view was a bit dour today?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Part-Ablutioning Done

I decided to get the teeth cleaned and a good shave and check the bruises and blotches scattered around my Billy Bunter body.

Well, those I could get to see, anyway. Haha!

The teeth cleaning is getting a little painful. The shaving, without too many dropsies for once... I joke not! A good few cuts and nicks, mind you. That will be because I didn't have a shave yesterday; I'm sorry I didn't now.

I had a look around at the known bruises.

Yesterday's colourful bruise acquired in the tumble had already gone down a lot, almost gone in fact. Both of the ones on the arms were virtually gone now. However, the one on the shoulder that the Carer mentioned yesterday, from several days ago when I walked into the doorframe, is lingering on and has turned a little yellow around the edges. So I'll have to come up with a name for my bruise checking? Bruisession Session? No, perhaps not a good one, that! Belinda Bruising... no, Brutal Brutus's Bruising... Maybe not, though.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got the Spuds in the Crockpot

Hardly newsworthy, you might think?

But the series of Whoopsiedangleplop while doing this simple task of preparing Josies Chilli-Braised Beef stew for her regular Sunday lunch, I'll mention:

1) Wiping the lid and porcelain bowl - I dropped the lid - it bounced on the floor, up glancing the knee, and landed atop of my big toe.

2) Taking extra care with the heavy basin did not help - other dropsies, and I pushed my bulbous belly forward to trap the container against the sink. But I trapped, caught it with my redundant lower equipment, and started Little Inchies fungal lesion bleeding!

3) Medicated 'things' very carefully. Then, back into the kitchen... cleverly walking right into the wet room doorframe again!

Oh, dearie me! The pot's cap came off as I was shaking some sea salt into the water in the dish; all of the salt that was left in the packet shot out! (It was about half full, but is no longer!) I kept calmish! 4) Got the spuds into the slow cooker, carefully filled it with water, added a bit of salt...

However... putting the small pot of onion salt back in the cupboard above the crockpot... Yes, you've probably guessed it... It dropped from my grip, and it splashed down again, right into the crockpot! Grungleknacks! 5) Cleared the water, dried the bowl and got it right this time, carefully using the onion salt. I removed the Saxa pot and threw it away. Cleaned up the mess. And had a couple of minutes in a mellow, pissed-off, sulking mode!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Started This Blog Off.

07:35hrs, No carer yet. So I made a start on this post. Saccades Sandra was not too bad... I shouldn't have said that, should I? Pressed on with this blogger blogging.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Morning Carer Arrived

08:30hrs; The same carer as yesterday arrived (Ilia, I think). Today, he was more confident, getting used to my stuttering and wobbling on his first call yesterday.

This time he told me when something (Medications) had run out in the bag. The Bisoprolol Fumarate (Beta Blockers) had run out. Which confuses me a little. I'm sure I was told not to go into any medications at all. This will be handled for you by Meridian. But it isn't? Ah, well, I might have misunderstood. So I fetched some from the new prescription pack.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Part-Prepped Josie's Nosh

Then got the Shower taken.

Prepped Josies Cooking as far as I could. Updated this blog, then got the Showering and medicationalisationing sorted out.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Showered!

The plates looked decent enough.

Well, I say fine... not bad at all!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Back to getting Josies Nosh Sorted.

Bit of a job getting the timing right, with so many things needing different cooking lengths. All done and delivered dead on time for the gal. She seemed a little more responsive today, wanted to know what this and that was on the tray, bless her.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Got My Meal Served Up

A reet-meaty-treat

I gobbled it all and got the washing up done. Then, settled in the recliner and managed to nod off for a couple of hours, at last!

Woke Up!

Made a brew, then updated this blog. Then did a graphic for tomorrows Inchy Today...

Evening Carer Arrived

18:30hrs: Soon had me sorted out.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Updated This Blog

Got it sent off to Blogger, but it was a bugger; the font formatting kept changing on its own accord again? Argh! Fonts, formatting, sizes...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Hello, Porcelain Throne Needed!

Visit of the day number two. Similar to the earlier one. Resistant, slow, solid, painful - but this time, no bleeding with it. Once again, the one flush was all that was needed!

Belated Thoughts of the Day - In Ode

Parts of this Sunday showed an ethereality,

My moods were of mixed duality,

At times, I was completely pain-free!

Occasionally, I sensed festivity,

Although these were in the exiguity,

Many events had forgettability,

My brain held confusion, a floatability,

Ofen I revealed my stupidity and gullibility,

Although there was less hostility,

I enjoyed the odd moment of geniality,

Then some of the lack of practicality,

Others, of hobbling immobility,

I had one flash, of impudicity,

It really was a terrible pity,

Thought Storms back, while writing this ditty

With their tormenting, immutability!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Evening, all!
