Inchies Day: Monday 24th May 2021 - Ode, Graphicalisationings, Photographicalisations and some local news - Matron, Nurses... Grrreat!

My body has more replacement bits than genuine bits! Hehehe!

Zulu: NgoMsombuluko ngomhlaka 24 Meyi 2021

01:30, and off to the Throne again,

Gooey, messy, but with no discomfort,

Leaving, I stubbed my toe; oh, the pain!

Amazingly, I felt contentment, of a sort?

My prettiest stub-mark ever, I have to say!

Found I'd left potatoes cooking in the crockpot,

Made a brew of Gelengettie, t'was tasty and hot,

But the weak wee-wee, complain, I cannot,

I surprised myself, and ate up the lot!

The Health Check result, set in a mental rot,

Cause they were miles out, happy I was not!

It was in the healthy bracket; thanks a lot!

Since the ankle was this good... I've forgot!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Took the medications and back to the Porcelain Throne. The second visit, messier than ever, I'd a very sore bot!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

A Terrible Feeling

I made an order with J Sainsbury's for later in the week. But after reading the details, my EQ spoke to me: Saying, "You are going to regret making this order, mush!" No reasons made known?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Inchies Moon shot

I was well pleased with this effort, taken from the Kitchenette window. Smug-Mode-Engaged! Ahem! To be honest, I tried taking about eight photos of the moon, only this one came out any good! Tsk!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Sister Jane called...

She rang my number by mistake. Hehehe! Still, along with hubby Pete, we had a tremendous little gossip and nattering session about nothing and everything. Jane even found time to tell me off a few occasions. Credit where it's due; she's very good at that!

The intercom rang, but there was no one there when I got to it. I rang Jane back, and the door chimes burst forth - Aha, thought I; This will be the INR-DVT nurse, or perhaps the Medication nurse, or even Matron Julie?

So I had to ring off again. It was Josie returning her dinner tray, plate, etc. She told me she really enjoyed that! We had a chinwag for a minute or two, and I got back to updating this 'Inchies Day' blog.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Where is my Vampire Angel Nurse?

Into the afternoon now, and no signs of my haematology vampire yet? I'm a bit worried about this. I imagine it's been changed, and I must have forgotten about it, Humph! Perhaps, cause they do not usually come this late in the day.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

A Mystery Caller?

The intercom rang forth a few minutes later. I got to the panel, but it turned itself off before I could ring the let-in button. I saw a blue coat on someone for a second before losing the picture and assumed it must have been one of the nurses. One of the three who has not yet arrived? So, I got myself out and went to the lift, in case whichever nurse it was had not called here before... But, no one arrived. I waited a few minutes, hoping I wasn't missing another phone call or intercom message in the flat...

Gawd, will they ever get the intercom working correctly...?

A daft question that was! Tsk!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Took this photo from the balcony - for HRH & Billum in Ohio!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I got the waste bags made up and taken to the chute room.

-- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I went on CorelDraw to try yet again to get some graphics done in advance.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Then I got a landline call. It was from the Vampire Angel nurse Hristina ♥. She is calling tomorrow to take the blood sample twixt 09:00 > 11:00hrs. Bless her!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I got the nosh sorted out,,, nice!

I got the nosh sorted out early. Certain that no medicalisational person would be calling on me this late in the day. I've explained to each one about my odd hours and begged them not to call after 15:00hrs. (Huh!) Lovely fodder, a very worthy 8.9/10, for taste!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Whoopsiedangleplop - Accifauxpas!

Went to wash the pots up, diverted to the Porcelain Throne for a gooey, messy evacuation that took ages to clean up after... Back to the kitchen, to find out that I'd left the hot water tap (faucet) running and could not wash the pots, as the water had run cold! Blurblecrups! Still, it will soon heat up as the overnight heating will come on anytime now.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The landline rang again...

Bless her, she advised me of the changes to the bus service. The L9 has finished, and a new N19 service is replacing it.

A well thought out (I thought) new route is beneficial for us old un's shopping. It calls en route at Asda in Arnold (Shoplifters paradise).

Tesco at Top Valley (very handy if want to buy some Weed, Cocaine, Crack, Ecstacy or MDMA - pushers are rife in that area, and they tell me the drugs are not as pure, but cheaper there?)

Then calling at Morrisons at Bulwell (Where you can find many abandoned stolen cars for spares). Then into Bulwell Market, with several cheapo shops to choose from, and attract the attention's of the muggers, gangs of yobs, pavement cyclist, Escooterers and pickpockets - do not use a cash machine in this area!

A bus every hour, only on schooldays, though. But very welcome!

Thanks for the update, Jenny! ♥

I got settled to watch some TV...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Matron Julie and Nurse Shirley Arrived!

And there I was, in my Protection pants and t-shirt!

This late call unsettled me a bit, but the nurses soon put me right—many questions about different ailments and the Medication pots, which Matron Julie checked and amended for me. The nurse took me BP, pulse and temperature. Julie said she is getting the Medicine Team member to call again, for she was not happy with the state of the pots; some had different pill contents!

I thanked them and was feeling a little cared-for again! ♥ But well tired out!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

As I eventually got down in the £300, second-hand, c1968, cringingly-beige-coloured, not-working, rickety, incommodious, grotty recliner again, the Thought Storms raged.

Grobbledanklops!

Inchies Day: Sunday 23rd May - Ode, Graphicationalisations. Photographicalisations and some local news

I told him that I wasn't wearing one!

Morning Ode

I gave up trying to sleep at eleven-thirty,

Got up for a wee-wee, it was a bit squirty,

I was feeling miffed and a tiny-bit shirty,

With the lack of kip, my mood was not purty,

Fact is, I was getting upperty,

Got on the computer - with impropriety,

Glumness now, possibly in perpetuity,

Deleted photos, from twelve until 02:30!

5hrs to finish Sat's diary properly,

And I still await the arrival of puberty!

Hehehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Health Checks Tended to:

The temperature is down, and the Blood Pressure is too! The Pulse, just fine! All results are in the Green!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Vascular Dementia Thoughts in Ode

When I go a whole night without any sleep?

It's hard, my mental faculties to keep,

My brain's mixed up, like a junkheap!

Into my grey cells, confusion does creep,

The BP readings are not so steep,

Memory loss, meretriciousness, come cheap!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Started prepping Josie's Sunday meal! Then got on with I spent a few hours updating this blog!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Ablutions abluted

Well, what a great session that was! No, bother with the teeth. Shaving, only one tiny cut! Saccades Sandra calemed down a lot! Not a single bang, toe-stubbing or clout! And, no falls! No bleeding from Little Inchies fungal lesion, nor Harold's Haemorhooids either!

However, the dropsies were numerous but never mind. Got dressed and finished off Josie's lunch.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Josies Lunch delivered spot on time!

Whoopsiedangleplop! No answer from Josie when I rang her buzzers!

She's been very good and remembered about her Woodthorpe Court Sunday Twelve o'clock Chef's meal for the last four weeks too?

Now, has forgot and gone out to meet with her Sister? Is she poorly?

I struggled back in the flat and put the meal in the fridge, after making room for it, along with the can of Posh perry away. Put the strawberry & vanilla Cornetto and Limoncello dessert back in the freezer.

But I was a smidgeon worried about her. So, I popped out again and tried her buzzers once more... Aha! She cometh to the door in her dressing gown. She'd been in the bath and forgot all about her cook arriving. Hehehe!

AT least she was alright, and in a good mood, too! I explained the meal to her and the extras.

I wasn't worried about her forgetting; after all, I'm as bad as anyone when it comes to losing things, missing things and senior moments. Hahaha! Probably worse!

She actually thanked me this time. It was nice to see her a little cheerful, bless her cotton socks! It cheered me up a tad as well.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I went on the YourArea Emagazine to find some bits of interest (Mostly Murders & Covid)

Handwashing Done!

The usual mess was made, and all the worse for Nicodemus's neurotransmitters dying at just the worst time possible. Git!

Tea & took a Photo

I made a mug of Thompsons Punjana, and while it was brewing, I took a photo of the murky looking but beautiful sky.

The much-missed sleep made a comeback... Zzzz!

Inchies Day: Saturday 22nd May 2021 - Ode, Graphicalisationings. Photographicalisations and some local news

 Saturday 22nd May 2021

Hungarian: Szombat 22 Május 2021

Janet & Gerry sort out Henry's pad... Hehehe!

HRH Lisa, Bill & a couple of blokes?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Howdy, folks!

What a lousy night!

Thought storms again, this time,

00:00hrs, I gave up, and got up,

Put the potatoes in the pan, with thyme,

Made a mug of Glengettie to sup,

Off to the Porcelain Throne,

Hearing the 'Hum' drone,

The evacuation messy yet as hard as a stone?

I must remember to take my thiazolidinedione,

The wet room, now a smelly zone,

I passed wind; it sounded like a trombone!

It's a good blooming job. I live alone!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I had a look at the situation with the food cupboards...

There's no doubt about it; I panicked a bit when the food shortages were on over the Covid pandemic starting.

So, I must try to eat some of the canned foods up. And cut back on buying fresh stuff? Well, try to... Tsk!

I got the Health Checks completed

The body temperature was at 36.1°c - 96.9°f. Which was alright. The Blood Pressure was creeping back up, though. Humph!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I had a look at the Nottingham News Emag

Second highest Indian.

Covid-19 & Variants Figures

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Mind Boggles!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Time to get the ablutions done, then...

I'm hoping that the Dropsies, Accifauupas, etc., are few and far between - and the Whoopsiedangleplops too!

Well, that went reasonably well. As is to be expected, with Nicodemus's neurotransmitters going off & back online, the usual dropsies keep going offline much more often.

I had a few cuts shaving, and I gave the right side of my cheek a clunk on the sink that Tyson Fury would have been proud of.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Whoopsiedangleplop!

Grafting away on CorelDraw in the afternoon, I'd got a decent one that I was pretty pleased with, done, and as I got up to go to the Porcelain Throne, Dizzy Dennis, Peripheral Pete, and Cathy Cartilage had me over, backwards. Not a nice one this time; I knocked my head against the Ottoman's arm as I tried to land on the recliner.

That was the end of the day for me!

The aches and pains were not too bad, but the dizzies and disorientation was not good. It was a while until I could get myself to the wet room. And cleaning up afterwards was uncomfortable, to say the least.

Came out, and I was all over the place to start with. My balance shot to pieces, and it seemed that Saccades Sandra was getting much worse now; the bang on the head, I suppose.

I did get the nosh early, while I felt safe to make it without any Accifauxpas. Simple enough, most of it was down already - I just had to add the potatoes to the saucepan of Chilli-Con-Carne. But Saccades kept blurring my vision so often...

Whoopsiedangleplop!

I missed the shelf with the dish; a plastic one, thank heavens, and praise-be, it had not been filled first! That could have been nasty!

I served it up and got myself down into the recliner, and although the head was spinning and I wasn't feeling up to much, the food went down well. But much of it was spilt down my chin and into the flabby stomach folds of flesh in the process.

After washing the pots, I decided to go back to the recliner and stay there. The wee-wee bucket was handily placed near the chair!

I got down, tried to read the Freeview schedule, but Saccades was not letting me focus at all. Viewing the TV was farcical, so I gave up, got up again and put the last of the eye drops in. Some of the liquid even got into the eyes, but not a lot of it. Tsk!

I put the headphones on and went through the radio stations searching for something worth listening to someone shouting or screaming as a substitute for singing! Humph!

I gave up on the radio. I must get myself a bigger screened TV. Hehe!
Then, the terrible thought storms kicked in! For hours and hours, no respite at all. Fears, worries, shames, regrets etc., flowed. And, the wee-wee bucket was utilised a good few times, cautiously, I might add. For the balance and vision was not a lot better yet.
.

Around midnight (it felt like I'd been laid there for days), I got up for the umpteenth time to the bucket and gave up trying to sleep altogether. I couldn't watch the box, I couldn't read or do a crossword... do I nipped into the wet room, slowly, and got a rinse... and found a part bottle of the old eye drops, and did my best to put it in the area of the eyes, Hahaha! I got some in.

I got the kettle on, and while doing the mashing of a Thompsons Pujana brew, the balance seemed to be coming back to me? Saccades Sandra even eased up a little with her fogging the view.

So, I tried to get the Saturday Inchies Day updated. But it was a long slog; it took me very nearly five hours to get it done!

Still, Saccades was no worse, and my balance was much better now... (Shhh! Don't tell anyone!) Hahaha!

Inchies Day: Friday 21st May 2021 - Graphicalisationings, Photographicalisations, some local news, and an Ode...

Friday 21st May 2021

Maori: Paraire 21 o Mei 2021

Good Morning...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

♥ TFZers, in their new Cabin-Gym, Bar. Hehehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I stirred and off to the Porcelain Throne,

Gooey, messy, things stunk a lot too!

Took a while to clean up, I had a moan,

Soon the evacuation through,

Then I moved into the showering zone,

Took one step, and pain brought a groan,

Stubbed my toe again, dabbed it with fluticasone,

Yes, to Accifauxpas, I am somewhat prone!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Tended to the Health Checks again,

The results a bit of a pain,

BP was higher, for certain,

Am I facing my final curtain?

Maybe immortality, I'll attain?

First, my sanity, I must try to regain?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet - Humph!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Iceland coming early today, twixt 0600 > 0700hrs. So I'd better get the ablutions done, a stand-up job, of course, too early to use the noisy shower yet.

Red-faced with the wall heater on, I cut my ear-hole shaving, lost count of all the dropsies; toothbrush (twice), razors (too many to count), Flannels, soap, and even the flaming towel afterwards! However, I did manage to avoid stubbing any of my toes again. Smug-Mode-Engaged! Hehehe!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I got the potatoes in the crockpot and seasoned them with Chinese Salt & Chilli.

Then, made a brew, took the medications, and got on with updating the Thursday diary.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The Iceland delivery arrived good and early; the driver was a pleasant chap, too.

The chap brought in the five bags into the hallway for me. Much appreciated; thank you, Mr Driver. The intercom wasn't working again. He'd had to get Nottingham City Homes control to let him in, and it took a long time; thus, the ice-cream suckers were almost liquid by the time he'd got it to me. I mentioned to him about Jenny's farce last week. I insisted he took a can of his choice in thanks for his help.

I got the near thawed out frozen stuff into the freezer as fast as I could. All of it was ice cream sticks of varying flavours, so they should be eatable, even if a little misshaped. I got it all in, a little soft, mind. Haha!
Please note that the fridge was nowhere near as full as it usually is after a delivery? All due to my newly adopted plan to get some of the canned food used up before I croak out.
And they say that Vascular Dementia is not fightable. Just watch me go! I might regret saying that late on, Hahaha!

The washing up liquid had burst open in the other bags, covering the roll of waste bags, a packet of biscuits, and a bar of orange flavoured Galaxy! Tsk!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Another of the mysteries of Winwood Heights, the ghosts, wraiths, spectres, cacodemons, apparitions and other grotesqueries haunt the hallways and lobbies, searching for Inchcock, create ambiguities, abstrucities, perplexities, misfortunes and botherations, to scare, worry, harass, and confuse me!

I did some computerisationing and hobbled into the kitchenette to make another brew of Glengettie. I left Metal Micky on his three stumps, got the kettle filled, and as I was about to grab him, he fell over? Right in front of me, and quickly too, as if a ghost or wind had pushed home over? I sensed no draughts or wind around that could have caused this?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Bleak weather this evening.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Whoopsiedangleplop

Got the nosh sorted out and served up. But Nicodemus's neurotransmitters and Dizzy Dennis attacked me at the same time. This was not good!

After several spillages and dropsies, I got one of the plastic portion plates and used that; it was much safer for me.

I'm glad I did; this dish saved a few mishaps as I consumed the fodder. A worthy 9/10 for the Flavour-Rating... but after-nosh nibbling was guiltily performed... Oh, dear!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The worst getting to sleep effort of the week. Thought Storming, regular nod-offs though, but it felt like I was waking up every few minutes repeatedly, and the thoughts returned...

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Grobbleknackercraps!

Inchies Day: Graphicalisations, Photographicalisations, some local news, and an Ode...

 Inchies Day

Thursday 20th May 2021

Hardships will arrive, later in life,

Of course, you can have these, anytime,

Bringing trouble and strife,

A pathogenic bacterial organism, a microzyme,

Maybe there could be an afterlife,

Perhaps death will be sublime?

At least I don't have to worry about a wife,

After all, I've lived a nonlife,

But, I usually cheer up in Maytime,

Not now though, I'm miserable, but that's not a crime.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Our Wonderful Blue Skies!

Really early in the day, the blue clouds were looking like artwork.

A few hours later, the blue was joined by some reds and a smattering of yellow.

The Fighting Temeraire, which Joseph Mallord William Turner painted in 1838, came to mind while I was amazed at the sky's beauty.

The Cloud Appreciation Society members should have been here with me. Later on, the light dawning, they were so vivid that I wanted to reach up and touch them... but I didn't, of course. Hehe!

I have these moments of cloud-loving now and then. On a bad day, I may not even notice them, but today, I am currently in fine spirits with Arthur, Cathy and Anne Gyna are all being kind to me... in fact, I was feeling sprightly... well, almost!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Health Checks

Two days results in the Green!
Never before has this been seen!
Contentment, I detect and glean,
Even if life is not precisely apogean!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

As I was getting a bag made up to take to Jen ♥, Nora ♥ and Frank, the telephone rang. Knackwrangles!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

♥ Jenny called on the Landline ♥

I thought it was the con-caller trying his Nigerian or Lithuanian luck again. Gladly it was Jenny on the line. We had a little natter, and she said she had a China type mug I could have and would bring it up to me, bless her. I mentioned that I was coming down anyway in a while, so she said she would leave the mug outside in the hallway with money to pay for the tissues in the bag. We spoke of the annoying con-calls on the landline and told me there was no cause to get excited, just ring off. She's perfectly correct, of course, but getting up to answer the phone can be painful, then the getting back down again the same, thanks to Arthur Itis and Cartilage Cathy.

I gathered the bag for Jen and put it on the handlebar and loads of waste in the box on the walker trolley.

It was a work of art getting it out of the doorway, (By work of art, I mean farcical struggle, Haha!) I wobbled my way, somewhat precariously to the waste chute room, and deposited the bags, not Jenny's, of course. Although it was a close thing, I managed to stop myself in time - Humph!

I got to the lift (elevator) and keen alert. as usual, I spotted this sign on the right-hand side lift doors

The Elevator Farcicalness!

Getting the one lift down was not going to be a straightforward job. The elevator cage passed me by several times. Eventually, It did stop, and a lady who was in it, from a floor above, was most distressed; she been waiting for ages and had the same thing with the cage passing her by many times, bless her. And, I had to go down with her, then back up again. It's all fun at Winwood Courts, I can tell yers. Especially at Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, spectres, gnomai, phantasms, and ghosts. Plus, the grotesque ectoplasms, succubae, extraterrestrials, or the Fata Morganas, that have been sent to taunt, irritate and terminate my already limited saneness of mind to the ultimate limit?

I got lost there, where was I? Oh, yes!... I got to Jen's apartment, and the bag with the mug and money in it was outside her door. I swapped it for the goody bag, knocked on the door, rang the bell, and hobbled back to the lifts... well, lift at it is at the moment. But again, it passed me by several times, but I got back up much quicker than I got down, at least. Hehehe!

I got in the door, and I made a brew of Glengettie, using Jenny's donated mug. She'd put a note on the bag saying it was the best she could do for me, but knew it wasn't a good China mug, bless her cotton socks. I indulged in the brew. And updated this template.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I tried to get some Graphics made up. But the fatigue that had been missing this morning had now arrived with a vengeance, this afternoon. I was suddenly done in, drained and feeling so weary. Shame that! I'd better get something to eat, methinks.

This was not one of the tastiest of meals at all...

The so-claimed Pork Farms Pork Pie was of a different recipe - I suppose they have changed it now, so, no more for me. It tasted horrible, and after one bite, the pieces were all dispatched to the waste bin! And, the so-called Jersey new potatoes from the Co-op were almost foul-tasting, Eurgh! Many of them were not eaten, not good!

The sausages, Surami sticks and tomatoes were fine! Taste-rating: 6.2/10.

- - - - - - - - - - -

Sweet Morpheus was delayed by the Thought Storms again. They were fast, furious and fermented further fearful thoughts... for what seemed like hours... Gragnangles!
